교통시설 재해방지를 위한 신호체계 연동화에 관한 연구 - 광주시 동문로를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Signal Progression System for the Disaster Prevention of Traffic Facilities - A case study of Dong Moon Ro in Kwangju City -)

  • 도시 도로상에서 교통재해를 일으키는 가장 큰 시설중 하나는 교차로이다. 본 연구에서는 신호연동화 효과가 클 것으로 생각되는 광주시 동문로의 일부구간, 서방삼거리에서 무등 도서관을 사례지구로 선정하여 기시설되어 있는 시설들을 그대로 이용하면서 도시교통신호체계의 효율성을 증가시키고 교통류 흐름을 극대화 시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 신호체계의 최적화 모형인 TRANSYT-7F모형을 이용하여 연동화 Simulation을 하였다. 그 결과, 신호주기의 변화에 따른 교통류 특성을 분석해 보면, P.I.지수, 지체도, 연료소비량의 변화는 최적신호주기를 중심으로 하여 신호주기가 짧아지거나 길어지는 경우 증가하는 경향을 보이고 있으나 정지율은 최적신호주기와는 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 신호주기를 연동화 하였을 경우 시간당 평균속도는 11.39Km의 향상을 가져와 개선되었고, P.I.값은 40.65%가 감소하여 교통류의 흐름이 개선되는 효과를 보였다. 또한 전체지연시간은 42.86%가 감소되었고, 시간당 연료소비량은 31.04%가 절감되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Computation of geographic variables for air pollution prediction models in South Korea

  • Recent cohort studies have relied on exposure prediction models to estimate individual-level air pollution concentrations because individual air pollution measurements are not available for cohort locations. For such prediction models, geographic variables related to pollution sources are important inputs. We demonstrated the computation process of geographic variables mostly recorded in 2010 at regulatory air pollution monitoring sites in South Korea. On the basis of previous studies, we finalized a list of 313 geographic variables related to air pollution sources in eight categories including traffic, demographic characteristics, land use, transportation facilities, physical geography, emissions, vegetation, and altitude. We then obtained data from different sources such as the Statistics Geographic Information Service and Korean Transport Database. After integrating all available data to a single database by matching coordinate systems and converting non-spatial data to spatial data, we computed geographic variables at 294 regulatory monitoring sites in South Korea. The data integration and variable computation were performed by using ArcGIS version 10.2 (ESRI Inc., Redlands, CA, USA). For traffic, we computed the distances to the nearest roads and the sums of road lengths within different sizes of circular buffers. In addition, we calculated the numbers of residents, households, housing buildings, companies, and employees within the buffers. The percentages of areas for different types of land use compared to total areas were calculated within the buffers. For transportation facilities and physical geography, we computed the distances to the closest public transportation depots and the boundary lines. The vegetation index and altitude were estimated at a given location by using satellite data. The summary statistics of geographic variables in Seoul across monitoring sites showed different patterns between urban background and urban roadside sites. This study provided practical knowledge on the computation process of geographic variables in South Korea, which will improve air pollution prediction models and contribute to subsequent health analyses.

빅데이터의 효과적인 처리 및 활용을 위한 클라이언트-서버 모델 설계 (Design of Client-Server Model For Effective Processing and Utilization of Bigdata)

  • 최근 빅데이터 분석은 기업과 전문가뿐만 아니라 개인이나 비전문가들도 큰 관심을 갖는 분야로 발전하였다. 그에 따라 현재 공개된 데이터 또는 직접 수집한 이터를 분석하여 마케팅, 사회적 문제 해결 등에 활용되고 있다. 국내에서도 다양한 기업들과 개인이 빅데이터 분석에 도전하고 있지만 빅데이터 공개의 제한과 수집의 어려움으로 분석 초기 단계에서부터 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 논문에서는 빅데이터 공유를 방해하는 개인정보, 빅트래픽 등의 요소들에 대한 기존 연구와 사례들을 살펴보고 정책기반의 해결책이 아닌 시스템을 통해서 빅데이터 공유 제한 문제를 해결 할 수 있는 클라이언트-서버 모델을 이용해 빅데이터를 공개 및 사용 할 때 발생하는 문제점들을 해소하고 공유와 분석 활성화를 도울 수 있는 방안에 대해 기술한다. 클라이언트-서버 모델은 SPARK를 활용해 빠른 분석과 사용자 요청을 처리하며 Server Agent와 Client Agent로 구분해 데이터 제공자가 데이터를 공개할 때 서버 측의 프로세스와 데이터 사용자가 데이터를 사용하기 위한 클라이언트 측의 프로세스로 구분하여 설명한다. 특히, 빅데이터 공유, 분산 빅데이터 처리, 빅트래픽 문제에 초점을 맞추어 클라이언트-서버 모델의 세부 모듈을 구성하고 각 모듈의 설계 방법에 대해 제시하고자 한다. 클라이언트-서버 모델을 통해서 빅데이터 공유문제를 해결하고 자유로운 공유 환경을 구성하여 안전하게 빅데이터를 공개하고 쉽게 빅데이터를 찾는 이상적인 공유 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

도시 토사중 중금속 함량 (Heavy Metals in Soils of the Urban Area)

  • In order to evaluate the degree of air pollution, soils from 125 and 60points of main streets of Seoul and Daejeon, respectively, were sampled and analyzed for the contents of lead, copper, iron and zinc by nitric acid($HNO_3$) extraction followed by atomic absorption spectrophotometry during June and September, 1990. The Pb contents of Seoul and Daejeon were 350.2$\mu$g/g and 175.9$\mu$g/g, respectively, which were 14.5times and 7.3times respectively higher than the control(24.0). In Seoul, the commercial area gave the highest value followed by resdential and industrial areas in the decreasing order, while the order in Daejeon was Industrial, commercial and residential areas. The Cu contents in Seoul and Daejeon were very similar(236.6 and 234.6, respectively) each other, and about 11times higher than the control(20.9). The concentration was highest in industrial, followed by commercial and the lowest in residential areas in Seoul, while the order in Daejeon was industrial, residential and commercial areas. The Fe contents were 25716.5 in Seoul and 22838.6 in Daejeon, both being similar to the control value(22537.0). The value was highest in industrial and next in commercial areas and the lowest in residential area both in Seoul and Daejeon. The Zn contents in Seoul and Daejeon were 728.2 and 404.0, respectively, wihch were 6.3 and 3.6times higher than the control(113.3). The value was highest in commercial and next in industrial areas and the lowest in residental area in Seoul, while the order was industrial, residential and commercial areas in Daejeon. The heavy metal content was higher in the soil of main streets than that of minor streets in Seoul. The content of lead in Seoul was higher in the streets of Chongro-ku(525.9) and Chung-ku(684.8), the central area of the city which had a heavy traffic, than those in Nowon-ku(320.3) and Kwanak-ku(312.6) which had relatively less traffic crowd. The similar pattern was observed in the content of zinc; it was higher in Chongro-ku(1305.0) and Chung-ku(1335.4) than in Nowon-ku(489.1) and Kwanak-ku(569.8). In Daejeon, the contents of lead and zinc were decreasing as the distance from Daejeon Railroad Station increased : they were respectively 157.8 and 447.7 within 2km from the station, 157.6 and 235.7 with in 2-4km, and 63.5 and 156.2 within 4-6km and 58.7 and 142.2 within 6-8km. In summary, the contents of lead, copper and zinc were generally higher in the central area of the city, areas of heavy traffic and areas of industry and commerce.

PRECEDE 모형을 이용한 일부 초등학교 안전교육의 진단적 연구 (A Diagnostic Study of safety education in elementary schools based on PRECEDE Model)

  • As the complexity of the our environment is further complicated by advancements in industry and increase in vehicle traffic flow, the incidents of injury causing accidents are on the rise. Consequently, there is increasing emphasis on the importance of systematic and continual safety education for injury preventive behaviors. This study investigates safety related problems of elementary school students based on the PRECEDE model, proposed by Green et al.(1980 Green), to comprehensively identify the requirements of school safety education. The identified requirements were used to diagnose the current state of elementary school safety education through the analysis of multidimensional factors. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 594 sixth grade students from randomly selected 4 schools in Seoul to examine their injury preventive behaviors and to determine the educational diagnosis variables that affect it. The duration of the survey was 3 weeks starting from April 12, 1999 to May 8, 1999. A summary of the survey results are presented below; 1. Situations in which accidents have occurred were, in their order of frequency, ‘during play or sports activities within the school grounds’ was most frequent at 59.6%, ‘during play on local streets’ at 49.5%, and ‘traffic accidents’ at 41.6%. 2. Categorization of the injury preventive behavior showed that ‘not playing at high traffic flow locations such as streets and construction sites’ had the higher level of observance, while ‘wearing of helmets and joint protection devices during playing’ was least observed. 3. Considering injury preventive behaviors in relation to educational diagnosis variables indicated, for predisposing factors, lower ‘perception to injury accidents’ (p〈0.001) combined with higher ‘concerns for injury accidents’(p〈0.001), ‘practice of preventive behavior’(p〈0.001), and ‘the level of safety knowledge’(p〈0.001) resulted in significantly higher observance of injury preventive behaviors. For enabling factors, higher ‘perceived level of the school safety education’ (p〈0.001) and ‘availability of safety education resources’(p〈0.01) indicated significantly higher observance of injury preventive behaviors. For the reinforcing factor, frequent exposure to ‘safety education brochure’ (p〈0.01) and ‘audio-visual material for safety education’(p〈0.01) combined with more ‘regional safety education’ (p〈0.01), ‘home safety education’ (p〈0.01), ‘school safety education’(p〈0.001), and, ‘parents’ observance of preventive behaviors' (p〈0.001) showed significantly higher observance of injury preventive behaviors. 4. An analysis of the factors that affect injury preventive behaviors showed that the enabling factor ‘awareness of school safety education’ had the highest correlation with injury preventive behaviors followed by factors, in their order of significance, ‘practice of preventive behavior’, ‘perception to injury accidents’, ‘level of safety knowledge’, ‘parents’ observances of preventive behaviors', and ‘concerns for injury accidents.’

한일간 해저터널 건설 가정 시 물류경로 변경에 따른 효과분석 (An Effect Analysis According to Change of Logistics Course of Undersea Tunnel Construction between Korea and Japan)

  • 동북아는 최근에 중국의 급격한 경제성장에 따라 세계 경제발전의 성장축으로 물류에 있어서도 많은 변화를 겪고 있다. 아시안하이웨이, 대륙횡단철도 등 동북아 역내 교통 인프라를 증진시키고, 운송수단의 다각화를 모색함으로써 경제의 부흥과 정치적 안정, 국가간의 배타적인 부분을 완화하여 NAFTA, EU에 대항하는 하나의 경제 블럭을 만들어 가기 위해 노력하고 있다. 이러한 사업의 기종점을 부산이 아닌 일본으로 연장하려는 노력으로 한일간 해저터널이 거론되고 있으나 아직 구체화된 수준은 아니다 따라서 본 연구에서 한일간 해저터널에 대해 그간 논의된 내용을 정리 요약하고, 경로분석을 통해 건설 전후의 철도와 해상수송수단의 소요시간 및 소요비용을 분석 비교해 향후 동북아와 한국에 미치는 영향분석을 시도하였다. 이 결과는 앞으로의 한일 해저터널에 대한 연구에 촉진적 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 분석결과 해저터널 건설 가정 시 소요시간과 비용측면에서는 효용이 있는 것으로 도출되었고, 이를 바탕으로 동북아차원, 국가 균형발전차원, 부산 지역경제차원, 부산 해상물류차원에서 그 효과를 간단히 살펴보았다.

중추성 및 말초성 안구운동장애 사례에 대한 고찰 - 한방치료를 시행한 3례를 중심으로 (A Study of Central and Peripheral type of Eye Movement Impairment - Focused on 3 Cases Treated with Oriental Medical Treatment)

  • Objectives : To report three cases of eye movement impairment: internuclear ophthalmoplegia (INO) due to pontine infarction, traumatic abducens nerve palsy, and abducens nerve involvement in Miller-Fisher syndrome. Cases Summary : There were three cases. First, a 64-year-old woman, who was given a diagnosis of INO due to pontine infarction, had left gaze palsy of her right eye while the convergence was intact. Second, a 34-year-old man had abduction impairment of his right eye after a traffic accident. Third, a 66-year-old man, who was diagnosed with Miller-Fisher syndrome, had left gaze palsy of his left eye. Their symptoms improved substantially and their anxieties were relieved after treatment with herbal medicine and acupuncture. Conclusions : There has been no certain cure for eye movement impairment yet. In this report, we present three successful cases of patients with eye movement impairment and show that Korean medical treatment could be a solution for this incurable disease.

중학생의 주거 환경과 사회적 성숙도와의 관계 연구 (A Study on Relationships Between Residential Environments and the Social Maturity of Middle School Students)

  • This study had the purpose of presenting a residential environment solution as a desirable educational environment for middle school students to grow soundly and to achieve proper self-realization while providing basic materials to build up a suitable residential environment by comparing and analyzing what relationships exist between different home backgrounds, residential environments and middle school students' social maturity. This research was conducted from Feb. 11, 2008 to Feb. 13, 2008. The subject of this research was 601 students in 3 middle schools located in Gyunggi-do. The data analyzed used the SPSS 11.5 version. The summary of this study's results is as follows. First, in terms of home background, the higher the parents' educational background and social and economic position, the greater the students' social maturity. Second, in terms of home environment, the more spacious the living space, the better the water and sewage system and rest room, the more convenient the air conditioner and kitchen system, the better the lighting, ventilation, soundproofness, insulation, the less the danger in relation to fire, crime, traffic accidents, disaster, the greater the students' social maturity. Third, in terms of the home environment related to the correlation between the residential environment and social maturity, all areas such as housing facilities, housing structural environment and housing safety showed static correlations and proved that the residential environment has an important influence on social maturity. Accordingly, in order to build up an ideal residential environment, we should make efforts to expand and improve better facilities at home considering privacy, lighting, ventilation, soundproofness, heating etc. and remove unsound factors that obstruct students social maturity and build up clean and safe residential environment with good relations with their neighbors.

DO-278A 표준을 적용한 A-SMGCS 개발 사례 연구 (Case Study of Applying DO-278A for Advanced Surface Movement Guidance & Control System)

  • 본 논문은 항공기 지상이동유도 및 통제 시스템(A-SMGCS)의 소프트웨어를 개발하기 위해 CNS/ATM 분야의 지상용 항공장비 소프트웨어 표준인 DO-278A를 적용한 사례를 제시하였다. DO-278A를 적용하기 위해 필요한 고려사항들을 기술하였으며, DO-278A에 명시된 프로세스 혹은 요건들을 테일러링한 방법에 대해 상세히 논의하였고, 테일러링된 결과에 대해 설명하였다. 그리고 DO-278A를 처음 적용하여 개발하고자 할 때 발생할 수 있는 사항들과 DO-278A를 적용하면서 발생했던 문제점들이나 이슈사항들을 정리하였다. 결론으로 DO-278A를 적용하면서 시행착오를 줄이기 위해 반드시 고려되어야 하는 교훈들을 설명하였으며 이러한 문제점들이나 이슈사항들을 해결하기 위한 방법을 제시하였다.

다이아몬드 입체교차점에서의 회전교차로 도입에 따른 운영효과 분석 (Analysis on the Applicability of Roundabout to the Diamond Interchange)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 다이아몬드 입체교차점에서 회전교차로의 도입가능성을 비교 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 입체교차점에서 회전교차로와 비신호교차로 및 신호교차로의 효과를 aaSIDRA를 이용하여 성과를 비교 분석하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 4지 교차로 분석에서는 총 진입 교통량이 480pcph이상에서 1차로 회전교차로가 비신호교차로보다 효과적으로 분석되며, 진입교통량이 $480{\sim}1,880pcph$에서 2차로 회전교차로가 일반교차로보다 효과적으로 분석된다. 둘째, 3지 교차로 분석에서 1차로 교차로일 경우 총 진입교통량이 980pcph이상에서, 2차로 교차로의 경우 총 진입교통량이 $1,600{\sim}3,680pcph$에서 회전교차로가 다른 일반교차로보다 효과적으로 분석된다. 본 연구결과를 요약하면, 입체교차지점에서 회전교차로 설치 시 교차로 진입교통량의 범위를 고려하는 것이 중요하다.
