For recent years, hacking is in the trends of making excessive traffic unnecessarily to obstruct the service by getting a system's performance down. And we can also see systems paralyzed in service ability due to the flash crowds of normal traffic to a popular website. This is an important problem certainly solved in the point of QoS guarantee for the clients. It is known that the former is DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) attack and the latter is FE(Flash Event). These two are samely anomalous traffic because these make excessive congestion on the network or system and downgrade the system's service ability. In this paper, we propose a scheme for protecting the system against anomalous traffic and for guaranteeing the QoS. For this, a server records and maintains the information of clients accessed more than one time before when it is in normal condition. When it falls into the congestion, the records are used for filtering the spoofed IP. We send and receive the ICMP request/reply packet to know whether the IP is spoofed. And we also propose for applying the object spliting of CDN to guarantee the QoS in the initial FE situation.
Recently, the traffic volume has been greatly increased partly because of high growth rate of domestic and world economy, and partly because of increased transhipment demand resulting from the destruction of Kobe port by earthqwake early this year. So, container facilities in Pusan Port are under serious congestion. The congestion costs in connection with container traffic in Pusan Port is estimated to be 29.3 billion won in 1994. In 1995 the situation is still worsening. PECT has continued to grow annually by 35% in cargo handling exceeding more than 31% of the total container volumes handled in Korea. The BOR of container berths in PECT in 1994 is 75% reflecting extreme congestion in container traffic. The reason for such serious congestion in PECT is the shortage of container handling facilities in comparison with ever-increasing cargo traffic. In order to solve the provisional problem, the shortage of handling capacity, a model developed to optimize the operation of PECT is described and demonstrated. The model minimizes total port costs, including the costs of dock labour, facilities and equipment, ship, containers, and cargo. The object of this study is, through the model results, mainly to determine the optimal combination of berths and cranes under various circumstances and to show that total costs per ship or unit of cargo served can be reduced by increasing the number of cranes per berth and berth utilization above present levels. Eventually, the results obtained with this model in PECT suggest that increase to 3 in the number of cranes per existing berth could reduce the need for major investments in berths and even reduce operating costs.
The traffic congestion caused by the exploding increase of vehicles became one of the severest social problems. Among the various approaches to solve this problem, controlling the length of traffic signals appropriately according to the individual traffic situation would be the most plausible and cost-effective method. To design a traffic signal controller which has such a property as adaptive decision-making process, we adopt fuzzy logic control method(fuzzy traffic signal controller), Moreover, using genetic algorithms we obtain an optimized fuzzy traffic signal controller (GA-fuzzy traffic signal controller). To evaluate and validate the proposed fuzzy and GA-fuzzy traffic signal controller, simulation results are presented.
In this paper we approach the problem of congestion control for TCP traffic over ATM-UBR networks by focusing on the fact that to get best performance. We study how to efficiently support TCP traffic in the subnet ATM model, when ATM is only a single link in the whole path. We show that when UBR connection. We analyze the ATM-UBR network service using the BSD 4.3 Reno, Tahoe TCP. However we found the fact that the characteristic of fast recovery algorithm makes a serious degradation of performance in multiple cell loss drop situation. We propose new fast recovery algorithm to solve the problem.
진단제도에서는 점용 용역을 8L(장직경)X3.2L(단직경)을 사용하고 있다.
Vessel traffic safety management means the managerial technical measures for improving the marine traffic safety in general terms. The main flow of vessel traffic safety management is that: 1) Traffic Survey, 2) Replay by Marine Traffic Flow Simulation, 3) Quantitative Assessment, 4) Policy Alternatives, 5) Prediction·Verification. In the management of vessel traffic safety, it is most important to establish assessment models that can numerically estimate the current safety level and quantitatively predict the correlation between the measures to be taken and the improvement of safety and the reduction of ship handling difficulties imposed on mariners. In this paper, the replay model for traffic flow simulation was made using marine traffic survey data, and the present traffic situation became replay in the computer. An attempt was made to rate the current safety of ports and waterways by applying the Environmental Stress model. And, as a countermeasure for traffic management, by taking of, the promotion of total traffic congestion in early morning rush hour, the correlation between traffic control rate and the reduction in ship handling difficulties imposed on mariners was predicted quantitatively.
PURPOSES : The objective of this study is to find Percentile Speed($V_p$) for Appraisal of Road Section with Recurring Congestion. METHODS : Percentile Speed($V_p$) is determined by correlation analysis of CSI that proposed existing literature. and CSI(Consistency Service Index) is a index that subtract service fail frequency from 100 points, and service fail is defined as traffic situation is driving less than 80kph speed. In this study, We analyzed the highest correlation percentile speed associated with CSI. This speed is chosen as a delay decision speed. In order to verifying reliability, it performed a comparison with the previous method. RESULTS : As a result, 30 percentile speed($V_{30}$) was decided as index speed for judgement of recurring congestion section, and through comparison with existing methods, we demonstrated that 30 percentile speed can be useful for judgement of recurring congestion section. CONCLUSIONS : This method to Determine recurring congestion section using the percentile speed($V_{30}$) was proposed for the first time in this paper. This method can be applicated more quickly and easily than existing method for determining of recurring delay section.
