  • According to the development of Internet, DWDM system needs to improve the performance for long distance transmission international optical signals. For higher the transmission capacity, we have to raise the transmission speed and increase a number of channels. To make qualifications, there are a lot of technologies such as line coding, modulation, precious fiber, broadband amplification, dispersion and forward error correction. Especially, FEC has been considered as a progressive technology for long distance transmission to carry out high speed and large capacity traffic. This paper introduced the progress of each new generation of FEC and the way to employ by current system analyzed the coding gain.

  • Recently, the DDoS attack using the amplifier method makes it difficult to distinguish the normal traffic from the normal server and it is difficult to detect even the attack detection. Since the SSDP protocol is a common protocol widely used in IoT devices, it is used as a DDoS amplification attack. In this paper, we analyze the reflector attack of SSDP which is one of the DDoS and suggest a technical proposal to detect and defend against the attack by managing the Mac address of each device. Also, we propose a control structure to protect the reflection attack of SSDP in Home IoT. The efficiency of the proposed system has been verified by performing an experimental attack on the virtual environment.

  • Autonomous driving technologies have been gradually improved for road traffic owing to the development of artificial intelligence. Since the truck platooning is beneficial in terms of the associated transporting expenses, the Connected-Automated Vehicle technology is rapidly evolving. The structural performance is, however, rarely investigated to capture the effect of truck platooning on civil infrastructures. In this study, the dynamic behavior of bridges under truck platooning was investigated, and the amplification factor of responses was estimated considering several parameters associated with the driving conditions. Artificial intelligence techniques were used to estimate the maximum response of the mid span of a bridge as the platooning vehicles passing, and the importance of the parameters was evaluated. The most suitable algorithm was selected by evaluating the consistency of the estimated displacement.

  • Wheel load, design velocity, traffic amount (MGT), stiffness and thickness of sub-layers of asphalt concrete track are selected as performance design parameters in this study. A pseudo-static wheel load computed considering the dynamic amplification factor (DAF) based on the design velocity of the KTX was applied to the top of asphalt concrete track for full three dimensional structural analysis using the ABAQUS program. Tensile strains at the bottom of the asphalt concrete layer and vertical strains at the top of the subgrade were computed from the structural FEA with different combinations of performance parameter values for one asphalt concrete track section. Utilizing the computed structural analysis results such as the tensile strains and the vertical strains, it was possible to develop design graphs to investigate proper track sections for different combination of the performance parameters including wheel load, design velocity, traffic amount(MGT), stiffness and thickness of asphalt concrete layers for any given design life. By analyzing the proposed design graphs for asphalt concrete track, it was possible to propose simple design tables that can be used by engineers for the effective and fast design of track.

  • This paper presents a three dimensional stacked pad area away (PAA) package configuration as an implementation method of radio frequency (RF) circuits. 224MHz RF circuits of intelligence traffic system(ITS) were constructed with the stacked PAA RF pakage configuration. In the process of manufacturing the stacked PAA RF pakage, RF circuits were partitioned to subareas following their function and operating frequency. Each area of circuits separated to each subunits. The operating characteristics of RF PAA package module and the electrical properties of each subunits were examined. The measurement of electrical parameters for solder balls which were interconnects for stacked PAA RF packages showed that the parasitic capacitance and inductance were 30fF and 120pH, respectively, which might be negligible in PAA RF packaging system. HP 4396B network/spectrum analyzer revealed that the amplification gain of a receiver and transmitter at 224 MHz was 22dB and 27dB, respectively. The gain was 3dB lower than designed values. The difference was probably generated from fabrication process of the circuits by employing commercial standard

  • Traffic jam and congestion in urban areas has caused the need to improve the utility of underground space. In response, research on underground structures is increasingly being conducted. Notably, a double-deck tunnel is one of the most widely used of all those underground structures. This double-deck tunnel is separated by the middle slab into the upper and lower roadways. Both vehicle load and earthquake load cause the middle slab to exhibit dynamic behavior. Earthquake-related response characteristics, in particular, are highly complex and difficult to interpret in a theoretical context, and thus experimental research is required. The aim of the present study is to assess the stability of a double-deck tunnel's middle slab of the Collapse Prevention Level and Seismic Category 1 with regard to the presence of vibration-damping Rubber Bearings. In vibration table tests, the ratio of similitude was set to 1/4. Linings and vibrating platforms were fixed during scaled model tests to represent the integrated behavior of the ground and the applied models. In doing so, it was possible to minimize relative behavior. The standard TBM cross-section for the virtual double-deck tunnel was selected as a test subject. The level of ground motion exerted on the bedrock was set to 0.154 g (artificial seismic wave, Collapse Prevention Level and Seismic Category 1). A seismic wave with the maximum acceleration of 0.154 g was applied to the vibration table input (bedrock) to analyze resultant amplification in the models. As a result, the seismic stability of the middle slab was evaluated and analyzed with respect to the presence of vibration-damping rubber bearings. It was confirmed that the presence of vibration-damping rubber bearings improved its earthquake acceleration damping performance by up to 40%.
