녹색건축인증제(G-SEED)에 따른 한옥의 친환경 요소 평가에 관한 기초연구 -구례 운조루와 진원당을 중심으로- (A basic study on the Eco-friendly elements evaluation of Hanok according to G-SEED -Focus on the Unjoru and Jinwondang-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the usage of eco-friendly elements in Korean traditional architecture to evaluate Hanok(Unjoru and Jinwondang) according to Green Building Certification Criteria(G-SEED). The results of this study were as follows; Unjoru and Jinwondang was not enough to obtain certification points. From Site usage and Traffic category, Jinwondang gets more points than Unjoru. It's because Jinwondang is located in downtown Seoul, so it gets more points of traffic and neighborhood facility. From Energy and Environmental Pollution category, Jinwondang gets more points of energy performance than Unjoru, too. It's because Jinwondang secured insulation performance of wall and windows using insulator and glass. From Resources category, Unjoru gets more points than Jinwondang. It shows that modern Hanok was limited using natural resources. From Ecological Environments category, Jinwondang is located urban area, it's difficult to secure the open space, so Unjoru gets more points than Jinwondang. If Modern Honok installs a system that can getting point and secure insulation performance, it will be certificated according to G-SEED.

  • 무선 LAN(Local Area Network) 환경에서 QoS를 지원하기 위해 IEEE 802.11 Working Group은 IEEE 802.11e를 표준화하였다. IEEE 802.11e EDCA는 우선순위가 높은 트래픽의 채널 접근 기회를 확률적으로 높임으로써 QoS를 지원한다. 이는 우선순위가 높은 트래픽이 우선순위가 낮은 트래픽에 비해 채널 접근을 반드시 먼저 하는 것이 아니다. 따라서 모든 트래픽이 같은 채널, 같은 routing path를 가진다면, 우선순위가 낮은 트래픽은 우선순위가 높은 트래픽의 성능에 지속적인 영향을 미친다. 결과적으로 EDCA는 음성이나 비디오와 같은 멀티미디어 응용에 QoS를 보장하기에 무리가 따른다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 Multi-Interface를 이용한 Multi-Path Routing Algorithm을 제안한다. 각 Interface 마다 IEEE 802.11e EDCA에서 사용하는 Access Category별로 각각의 Routing Path를 다르게 함으로써 높은 우선순위의 트래픽에 QoS를 보장한다.

A Study on Car Ownership Forecasting Model using Category Analysis at High Density Mixed Use District in Subway Area

  • The Seoul Metropolitan Government is striving to minimize the amount of traffic according to the supply of apartment houses along with the solution of housing shortage for the low income people through high density development near the subway area. Therefore, a stronger policy is necessary to control the traffic of the passenger cars in a subway area for the successful high density development focusing on public transportation, and especially, the estimation of the demand of cars with high reliability is necessary to control the demand of parking such as the limited supply of parking lot. Accordingly, this study developed car ownership forecasting model using Look-up Table among category analyses which are easy to be applied and have high reliability. The estimation method using Look-up-Table is possible to be applied to both measurable and immeasurable types, easy to accumulate data, and features the flexible responding depending on the changes of conditions. This study established Look-up-Table model through the survey of geographical location, the scale of housing, the accessible distance to a subway station and to a bus station, the number of bus routes, and the number of car owned with data regarding 242 blocks in Seoul City as subjects.

Wireless LAN with Medical-Grade QoS for E-Healthcare

  • In this paper, we study the problem of how to design a medical-grade wireless local area network (WLAN) for healthcare facilities. First, unlike the IEEE 802.11e MAC, which categorizes traffic primarily by their delay constraints, we prioritize medical applications according to their medical urgency. Second, we propose a mechanism that can guarantee absolute priority to each traffic category, which is critical for medical-grade quality of service (QoS), while the conventional 802.11e MAC only provides relative priority to each traffic category. Based on absolute priority, we focus on the performance of real-time patient monitoring applications, and derive the optimal contention window size that can significantly improve the throughput performance. Finally, for proper performance evaluation from a medical viewpoint, we introduce the weighted diagnostic distortion (WDD) as a medical QoS metric to effectively measure the medical diagnosability by extracting the main diagnostic features of medical signal. Our simulation result shows that the proposed mechanism, together with medical categorization using absolute priority, can significantly improve the medical-grade QoS performance over the conventional IEEE 802.11e MAC.

인터넷 쇼핑몰에서 의류상품에 대한 착의경험 정보제공이 트래픽과 판매성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Trial-Experience Information on the Traffic and Sales Performance of Apparel Product Websites)

  • This study suggests a strategy of providing apparel product information from the wearers' perspective on Internet shopping malls, as a way of compensating for the lack of opportunities to try on the actual product. On an actual Internet shopping mall that sells apparel product, the 'trial-experience information' (the experiential information provided by the fit models who tried on the products) was provided for 83 different items from four women's wear brands. The traffic and sales performances (number of visitors, page view, gross sales of goods, conversion rate, and the numbers of customer transactions) of the apparel product websites that contain trial-experience information were compared to the performances of the brand's websites before this information was implemented. The changes in percent contribution of these brands in women's wear category were also noted. The specific results are as follows: First, all the four performance measures as well as the percent contribution of the experiment products in women's wear category increased noticeably throughout the experiment period (11 to $103\%$). Second, when the percent contribution of these brands in women's wear category in terms of traffic and sales performances were compared to the previous year, these measures increased between $497\%\;and\;2851\%$. Third, the amount of customer transactions also increased after the trial-information was provided, yet to a relatively smaller extent $(29.04\%\;to\;55.25\%)$. The findings showed that trial-experience information provided on the Internet shopping malls may reduce customers' risk perception and lead to increased sales of apparel product and improve the site use ratio.

교통안전 향상을 위한 주야 변화에 따른 고속도로 용량 보정계수 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Adjustment Factors under Day and Night Conditions for Freeway Capacity to Improve Traffic Safety)

  • PURPOSES: This study analyzes the characteristics of traffic flow on freeway sections under daytime and nighttime conditions to improve traffic safety, and suggests a method to estimate an accurate freeway capacity value that reflects these characteristics. METHODS : The trends and differences in capacity were investigated using comprehensive field data collected under both daytime and nighttime conditions on freeway sections with designated speeds of 80, 100, and 120 kph. RESULTS : The capacity values under nighttime driving conditions were reduced by 3.3%, 6.9%, and 8.8% at 80, 100, and 120 kph, respectively. Several nighttime adjustment factors were deduced for each designated speed category from the analysis results. CONCLUSIONS : It is expected that more accurate capacity values can be estimated for freeway sections under nighttime conditions by applying the resulting adjustment factors. In addition, traffic safety will be improved through the increased efficiency of traffic management on these freeway sections.

GPS probe 및 루프 검지기 자료의 융합을 통한 통행시간추정 알고리즘 개발 (A development of travel time estimation algorithm fusing GPS probe and loop detector)

  • The growing demand for the real time traffic information is bringing about the category and number of traffic collection mechanism in the era of ITS. There are, however, two problems in making data into information using various traffic data. First, the information making process of making data into the representative information, for each traffic collection mechanism, for the specified analysis periods is required. Second, the integration process of fusing each representative information into "the information" for each link out of each source is also required. That is, both data reduction and/or data to information process and information fusion are required. This article is focusing on the development of information fusing algorithm based on voting technique, fuzzy regression, and, Bayesian pooling technique for estimating the dynamic link travel time of networks. The proposed algorithm has been validated using the field experiment data out of GPS probes and detectors over the roadways and the estimated link travel time from the algorithm is proved to be more useful than the mere arithmetic mean from each traffic source.

실시간 신호제어알고리즘 개발에 관한 연구 (An Algorithm for Real-Traffic Signal Control at An Isolated-Intersection)

  • UTCS와 같은 고정식 신호제어시스템은 미리 정해진 신호시간계획에 의해 운영되는 방식으로 통과폭을 최대화하거나 지체를 최소화하하는 신호시간을 산정해 주지만 교통량 변화를 고려하지 못한다. 감응식은 신호시간 변수들을 일정량씩 변화시키면서 교통량 변화에 대응하는 SCOOT 같은 방식과 동적교통모형을 이용하여 시간대별로 신호시간 변화를 최적화 하는 PRODYN 등과 같은 방식이 주를 이루고 있다. 전자의 경우에는 교통량 변화에 즉각적으로 대응하지 못하는 단점이 있고, 후자와 같은 실시간 동적 신호제어모형의 경우 신호제어 상태에 따른 교통류 흐름이 적절하게 반영되지 못하는 단점을 갖고 있다. 본 연구에서는 후자의 방법을 토대로 시간대별로 신호상태에 따른 다양한 교통흐름을 반영할 수 있는 동적 신호제어 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 제시된 모형은 혼합정수선형계획법(BMILP)으로 매 시간단계별로 지체시간을 최소화해주는 신호제어변수를 산정해 준다. 모형적용 결과 본 모형은 단계별로 지체시간을 최소화해주는 동적신호시간을 적절하게 산정해 주었다. 따라서 실시간신호제어 등 첨단교통관리(ATMS)에 적용될 경우 그 효과가 기대된다고 할 수 있다.

도시림의 여름 대기온도 저감효과 - 서울시를 대상으로 - (The Effects of Urban Forest on Summer Air Temperature in Seoul, Korea)

  • The main purpose of this study was to estimate a new regression model to explain the relationship between urban forest and air temperature in summer, 2001. This study consists of two parts: correlation coefficient analysis and regression analysis. According to correlation coefficient analysis, thermal infra-red radiations of the major land use categories found significant difference in each category. However there were no significant relationship between the data (thermal infra-red radiation and NDVI) derived from Landsat-7 ETM+ image and air temperature at Automatic Weather Stations(AWSs). After estimating various regression models for summer air temperature, the final models were chosen. The final regression models consisted of two variables such as forest m and traffic facilities area. The regression models explained over 78% of the variability in air temperatures. The regression models with variables of forest area and traffic facilities area showed that the coefficient of the first variable was even more significant than the second one. However, the negative impact of the traffic facilities area was slightly greater than the positive impact of the forest area. Consequently, the effects of forest area and traffic facilities area were apparent to explain summer air temperature in Seoul. Therefore two policies have the most important implications to mitigate the summer air temperature in Seoul: to expand and to conserve the urban forest; and to change the Oafnc facilities'characteristics. The results from this study are expected to be useful not merely in informing the public that urban forest mitigates summer air temperahne, but in urging the necessity of budgets for trees and managing urban forests. 겨울철 도시부 노면결빙사고 발생에 미치는 요소에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Factors of Traffic Accidents Caused by Frozen Urban Road Surfaces in the Winter)

  • PURPOSES: According to accident statistics for road built in 2004, the ratio of accidents on frozen roads to normal roads is 0.9%, whereas the fatality ratio is 2.7%. The risk of accidents on frozen roads is very high. Measures taken every year to prevent traffic accidents of frozen roads in the winter season are still insufficient. Additionally, measures have been established mainly on rural roads. Therefore, for urban roads, analyses and measures to prevent accidents are lacking. In this study, data on accidents on frozen roads was used to search for the causes behind these accidents and measures to reduce accidents have been recommended. METHODS: In this study, collected data from the TAMS (Traffic Accident Management System), which were collected by the Seoul National Police Agency was used. The data were divided into vehicle, people, and condition of road. The analytical model used here was the Logistic Regression Model, which is frequently used for traffic safety and accident analysis. This study uses the odds ratio analysis to search for variables related to frozen road traffic accidents in each category. A total of 18 out of 47 variables were found to be the causes of accidents. RESULTS: From the results of the comparative analysis of 18 variables, the category of the condition of the road was found to be the most critical. Contrary to expectations, more accidents occurred in clear weather than in other conditions. Accidents on bridges occurred frequently, and its odds ratio was the highest compared with other road types. When BPT is operated, the probability of accidents on frozen roads is lower than in general conditions, and accidents occurred frequently on roads with less than four lanes. CONCLUSIONS : Based on the results of this study, suggestions for reducing the risk of future domestic road accidents in freezing conditions are indicated as follows. First, it is necessary to perform a technical review of the urban road traffic accidents caused by frozen roads. Second, it is necessary to establish criteria for the study of the road environment based on the major causes of road accidents on frozen roads. Third, improvements in urban road environmental factors should be made.
