Analysis of Levels of Health-related Quality of Life and Its Related Factors of Traditional Market Merchants (전통시장 상인의 건강 관련 삶의 질 수준 및 관련요인 분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify levels of health-related quality of life (EQ-5D) and its related factors among merchants in traditional markets. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used. Data were collected through questionnaires and physical examination on blood pressure, blood glucose, total cholesterol and BMI between February 12 and April 13, 2018. The participants were 175 merchants from two traditional markets in U. Metropolitan city. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Results: Levels of health-related EQ-5D were significantly different according to demographic characteristics, smoking status, exercise, total cholesterol, BMI, subjective health status, stress, and depression. The EQ-5D related factors were variables that had significant influence on subjective health status (β=.30, p<.001), gender (β=.27, p<.001), BMI (β=-.16, p=.012), depression (β=-.17, p=.010), and working period (β=-.15, p=.021). They explained 27.2% of the total variance of health-related quality of life (F=13.91, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicated that disease prevention and health management is essential for merchants who work in traditional markets to promote their health-related quality of life. For better merchants outcome, the intervention program should consider factors that are subjective health status, gender, BMI, depression, and working period in order to improve levels of EQ-5D.

  • The demise of the native franchise markets and the emergence of competitive markets in electricity generation service is substantially altering the way that operation and planning activity is conducted and is making it increasingly difficult for market participants such as generation firms to prospect the future electricity markets. Traditional generation expansion planning (GEP) problems which centrally determine the least-cost capacity addition plan that meets forecasted demand within pre-specified reliability criteria over a planning horizon (typically 10 to 20 years) is becoming no more valid in competitive market environments. Therefore, it requires to develop a new methodology for generation investments, which is applicable to the changed electric industry business environments and is able to address the post-privatization situation where individual generation firms seek to maximize their return on generation investments against uncertain market revenues. This paper formulates a new generation expansion planning problem and solve it in a market-oriented manner.

  • The purpose of this research is to clarify the relationship between the location of markets and the spatial structure of historic center in Beijing of 18th century by network analysis method onto the historic map of Beijing 'Qianlong-Jincheng-Quantu(乾隆京城全圖)' produced in 1750. By categorizing the grade of each market, it is revealed that the location of markets in Beijing under Qing Dynasty was not only decided by the various factors as policy of the regime and traditional social usages but also by the spatial structure of urban space in historic part of the city. At the same time, the sociopolitical factors and the spatial structure of urban space might influence reciprocally in defining the physical state of urban space.

  • In this research we propose the need of implementing CRM systems to reactivate traditional retail markets, and analyze the primary factors for successful implementation of CRM systems. We derived 4 primary factors such as business management, customer management, service management, and facility management among 22 measurement factors. The characteristics of each primary factor are ; product planning and certification management activities are needed for business management factor. Privileged treatment policies for primary customers are regarded as needed. And the needs for total service in service management factor including from order to delivery and return are raised. Finally, improvements of convenient facilities for using traditional retail markets are needed.

Do Perceived Choice Attributes in Traditional Market Influence Perceived Value, Satisfaction, and Loyalty? (전통시장의 지각된 선택속성 지각이 지각된 가치, 만족, 그리고 충성도에 미치는 영향 )

  • Purpose: This study divides choice attributes that can help strengthen the competitiveness of traditional markets into product, price, personnel, and physical evidence. This study also examines which choice attributes affect customer value perception, satisfaction, and loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology: The data were collected from 542 traditional customers aged 20 or older who frequently visit traditional markets across the country and analyzed using the Smart PLS 4.0 program. The survey was conducted with the help of an online survey company for a total of 14 days from April 7, 2023 to April 20, 2023. Result: First, product, price, and employee quality have a positive impact on utilitarian and hedonic value, but physical evidence does not. Second, product, price, and employee quality have a positive impact on hedonic and hedonic value. Second, utilitarian value has a positive impact on satisfaction and revisit intention. Third, hedonic value has a positive impact on satisfaction, but does not on revisit intention. Lastly, satisfaction has a positive impact on revisit intention. Conclusions: Based on the S-O-R model and the theory of consumption value, this study proposed and examined an integrated framework in which satisfaction leads to revisit intention through selection attributes acting on perceived value.

Note on Debate over Relationship Between Business Model and Strategy

  • Purpose - This short paper reviews the debate dealing with the relationship between strategy and traditional strategy approach on the one hand, and business models and new business model approach on the other hand and tries to offer useful direction to be more helpful to theoretical discussions. Research design, data, and methodology - This paper makes a theoretical analysis to explain the confusion surrounding the debate, reviewing mainly literature survey papers and finds theoretical conjecture and its limitations in order to present useful direction to the future theoretical work. Result - In order to comprise its diversity, business model studies should consider the characteristics of each firm, sector, and market. Adding further elements which are related to each sector or market, theoretical studies can capture the diverse phenomena related to business model and business model innovation. Conclusion - The traditional strategy perspective can be utilized to the Business model phenomenon in the case of incumbent firms and non-digital sector and existing markets. Meanwhile the new business model perspective can be utilized to business model phenomena in case of start-ups and digital sector and emerging markets. Reconciling two perspectives, the studies dealing with the business model should focus on the characteristics of firms, markets, and knowledge from the perspective of business model innovation.

An Empirical Analysis on the Compromised Delivery Model of Traditional Market Using Delivery Application (배달앱을 활용한 전통시장 배송 모형에 관한 실증분석)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to propose a win-win development plan for not only suppliers of delivery applications but also traditional market vendor companies and delivery riders by analyzing existing delivery models and presenting a new delivery model to enhance competitiveness of the traditional market using delivery apps. Research desgin, data, and methodology - Specifically, small retailers, such as traditional markets and supermarkets, presented a compromised delivery model that utilizes the platform of specialized delivery app service providers for order reception, and that the delivery is delivered by delivery systems jointly hired by Vendor companies, such as franchising companies. To validate the significance of the trade-off delivery model, a cost-benefit analysis was conducted by those involved in the delivery application. Results - From the perspective of suppliers of specialized delivery applications, it is analyzed that the use of specialized delivery applications in traditional markets will be a new market opportunity for service providers to achieve increased sales. It is expected that consumer choice and satisfaction will be increased as convenience and accessibility of traditional market businesses that were available only through direct visit from the user side of the delivery application will be expanded. From the standpoint of delivery application franchises, it is analyzed that they can seek to increase sales and increase customer service as well as ease labor cost burden due to joint employment of delivery riders. The delivery rider will be able to seek to improve customer service due to job security, wage stability, risk reduction and overheated competition due to direct employment. Conclusion - In conclusion, the compromised delivery model solved the problems raised in the preceding study conducted on delivery application suppliers, users, franchises, and riders to establish that it could be a strategic alternative to increasing sales and expanding detailed rights for the self-employed in the traditional market, which are experiencing difficulties in management. However, the adoption of a compromise delivery model requires social consensus from those involved in the delivery application and requires legal, institutional and policy support, which will require continued follow-up research on the delivery model in the future.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the Q - method, which is one of the qualitative analysis methods to approach deep and intrinsic meaning about the perception of college students about food in traditional market. Recently, local governments have been developing diverse tourism products aimed at young people in order to revitalize traditional markets. In this study, we classify the perception of food in traditional market by university students, And to suggest strategic implications by using it as basic data for establishing marketing strategy so that young people can visit in the futures. In order to analyze the perception of college students' subjective perception of traditional market food, Factor analysis was used to conduct an exploratory study. To do this, a Q-sort, Program, and Q factor analysis. The results were classified into three types. The first type (N = 21): Memories seeking type, the second type (N = 6): Local culture resource seeking type, the third type(N = 5). Each of these subjective perceptions can be used as a basis for future research. Through the establishment of marketing strategies for each of the three types of classifications, the direction of traditional markets is presented, and a variety of food items that are valuable as local tourism resources are accommodated by accepting university students' to contribute to the revitalization of traditional markets.

Development of the Circuit Breaker with Data Processing Function and Wireless-communication Function (데이터 처리 및 무선통신기능을 갖는 회로차단기 개발 연구)

  • In this paper, in order to reduce the electrical disaster such as electrical fire at traditional markets, we need to develop the circuit breaker which is able to monitor the power status of electrical equipments. Therefore, for solving the those problems, we developed the detection censor(ZCT, CT) and equipment of data analysis and transmission. The detection censor and equipment is able to monitor the electrical equipments condition(over current, leakage current, arc, etc.). We constructed Test-Bed for testing reliability of the circuit breaker and obtained certification. And we tested the over current, leakage current and arc under the normal condition. This paper will be used to the data for development an cabinet panel which is able to monitor the actual loads.
