한국 오징어 채낚기의 기존 녹색 낚시와 은백색 낚시의 어획성능 비교 (Comparison of the catch performance between traditional green jig and silver-white jig of squid jigging in Korea)

  • The catch performance of the silver-white jig for automatic jigging machine, developed to improve the effectiveness of LED fishing lamp in catching squid, was compared to that of the conventional green jig. The vessels used in this investigation were Haesong-ho (A-vessel), a training vessel of Gangwon State University and Haengbok-ho (B-vessel), a commercial fishing boat. In the case of the A-vessel, five to eight automatic jigging machines were used in the fishing operation with a 31.3 kW LED fishing lamp in summer. As for the B-vessel, fourteen automatic jigging machines were used with a 43.2 kW LED fishing lamp in autumn and winter. The results showed that the catch performance of the silver-white jig was similar to that of the green jig in the case of the A-vessel (p>0.05). However, in the case of the B-vessel, the catch performance of the silver-white jig was superior to that of the green jig in both winter (p<0.05) and autumn (P<0.001). Based on the catch performance results regarding the B-vessel in autumn, it is expected that the annual income increase that can be earned by using the silver-white jig will be KRW 26,385,000.

선자망어업이 어업생물에 미치는 영향 (The influences of encircling gill net fishery on fish organisms)

  • Encircling gill net fishery is a kind of gill net which is generally used in shallow coastal waters. After the fish have been encircled by the gill net, noise stimulus such as a stone or sound is used to force them to gill or entangle themselves in the netting surrounding them. Although the fishing by a stone is a traditional fishing method, it is considered as an illegal fishing method by physical stimulus such as explosives and mechanical vibrator. However, this illegal fishing method has raised some problems to the fishing boat of other fisheries or many anglers due to disturb aggregating fish schools. This study is aimed to provide scientific base data to verify whether to impact the ecosystem caused by this encircling gill net. This study exhibited that the impulse noise by concrete sphere in the encircling gill net was $159dB/{\mu}Pa$, the ambient noise from ship engine was $160dB/{\mu}Pa$, and the maximum noise from continuous artificial vibrator was $175dB/{\mu}Pa$. These may be stimulus to the escape of fish distributed in a wide area in its natural state; it is not likely the cause of death due to catastrophic stress. Therefore, it needs to prepare the consideration of standard limit on fishing stimulus in fishing methods of the fishery laws and regulations, prevent fishermen form using illegal fishing gear (i.e. explosive sound standards: $200{\sim}220dB/{\mu}Pa$ and provide them with countermeasures.

  • 權現網漁具의 網形에 관하여는 李등이 1971년에 在來式에 관하여, 1978년에 日本式 파치網에 관하여 模型實驗을 실시하여 보고한 바 있으나, 이번에 이들 漁具의 場点을 살리면서 短點을 보안한 試驗漁具改式良 79型을 재작하여, 1979년 5월부터 10월까지 6개월간. 멸치漁場이 형성되는 廈南一圓에서 試驗操業을 실시하여 그 漁具의 性能을 검토하고, 漁獲性能을 비교한 바, 그 性能이 在來式보다 우수하다는 것이 규명되었다

표민대화(漂民對話)의 조선학적 고찰(표류선박(漂流船舶)의 선형(船型) 추정(推定)) (The Naval Architectural Examination on "Pyomindaehwa" (Presumption of the Type of Drifting Ship))

  • Pyomindaehwa is a study book written in Korean and it takes a form of an investigation document made up of a conversation between Chosen's castaways and an interpreter taking place in Naesirogawa and Satsuma on the south end of Kyushu, Japan in the 19th century. This book is in three volumes. Many terminologies such as timber parts, sail, rigging and equipment have been shown in the last volume, which is mainly about a repairing process of drifting ship. Especially, timber parts' terminologies including hull's term were schematized in Kumamoto Text(1854b). This study have attempted to find out Naval architectural clues helping estimate actual drifting ship's type and bulk on the evidence of the contents. Based on the studies, it is possible to presume the type of Korean boats and ships, which are similar with the ones from database of 21 traditional fishing boats in the report on Investigation of Korean fishing boats studied previously. This paper has shown the logical process of presumption of types of boats.

채낚기 어선용 공랭식 LED 집어시스템의 설계 및 성능평가 (Design and performance evaluation of fish-luring system using the air-cooled LED lamp for jigging and angling boat)

  • The fishing lamp is a fishing gear that gathers fish at night. But the cost of oil, which is used to light fishing lamp, has been risen significantly up to 30-40% of total fishing costs. Therefore it is very urgent to develop an energy economical fishing lamp in order to solve the business difficulties of fisheries. Under this background, this research aims at developing a fishing lamp for squid jigging and hairtail angling fishery using the LED, which has excellent energy efficiency and durability. The LED fishing lamp developed can be controlled to fix a fit direction of fish shoal deep because a fishing lamp can be adjustable up and down directions. One unit of fishing lamp has about an 80Watt capacity and the frame of fishing lamp is made of aluminium to emit generated heat of LED to outside. The LED lamp developed was highly durable, only 5.7% of emitting efficiency decreased for 18 months. The illuminance of a unit LED lamp was 2,070lux at 1m and 21lux at 10 m distance, and the intensity of LED lamp system emitted 2,580lux and 400lux at the respective distances. After development of this fishing lamp, 100 units are installed on operating fishing vessels. Experimental results show that energy consumption of squid jigging and hairtail angling was reduced by 40% and 87%, respectively. In conclusion, our methods showed elevated fishing power, compared with traditional fishing method: 37.7% for squid jigging and 24.5% for hairtail angling.

선단 축소를 위한 기선권현망 축소형 대형 어구의 전개 성능 (The opening efficiency of the miniaturized large-scale net for anchovy boat seine to reduce the fleet size)

  • This study was conducted in order to improve opening efficiency of the miniaturized large-scale net for anchovy boat seine gear to reduce the fleet size. Field experiments were performed to observe geometry of nets by catcher boats. When the distances between the two ships were 150, 300 and 450 m, and the speeds of towing nets were 0.6, 0.9, and 1.2 k't, respectively. The vertical opening and actual opening of each part of the miniaturized large-scale net was as follows: the front part of the wing net, 8.7-13.3 m, 51-78%; the middle part of the wing net, 28.1-34.2 m, 55-67%; the entrance of the inside wing net, 31.3-38.5 m, 60-73%; the square and bosom, 22.7-29.6 m, 47-62%; the entrance of the body net, 20.9-26.4 m, 42-52%; the entrance of the bag net, 17.2-21 m, 72-89%; the flapper, 13.2-15.3 m, 78-83%; and the end of the bag net, 13.2-15.7 m, 72-75%. By connecting the net pendants with the front part of the wing net, the opening of the front part of the wing net was significantly improved compared to the traditional gear, which ensured both the wing net and the inside wing net with a normal net height. This, in turn, increased the efficiency of herding. The height of the body and bag nets was also higher than that of the tradition gear. In particular, the body net attached to the gear significantly improved the pocket shape of the gear and reduced the number of fish that were caught and escaped from the bag net, which increased the rate of fishing. The tension of towing nets was measured approximately between 2,958 and 7,110 kg, which indicates that the fleet can tow nets with 350 ps, the standard engine horse power. The fishing operation time was shortened compared with of the existent net, and the large-scale buoy attachment operation was also possible to operate the ship without fish detecting boat.

  • 권현망에서는 어획물을 손상시키지 않도록 양망해야 하는데, 재래식에서는 순전히 인력으로서 양망하므로 30-34명이나 되는 인원이 필요하다. 이것을 성력화하기 위하여, 자루그물의 옆판쪽에 속으로 반달코가 있는 힘줄을 6가닥씩 넣고, 배에는 선미에 데릭부움을 설치하여, 거기에 장치된 블록줄끝의 훅을 반달코에 걸어서 사이드 드럼으로 감아 재래식처럼 자루그물을 까뒤집으면서 양망한 바, (1) 어획물이 손상되지 않고, (2) 사이드 드럼의 권양장력은 30명의 선원의 그것보다 크며, (3) 본래식의 반이하인 14명의 선원으로서 조업이 가능하고, (4) 자루그물의 양망 소요시간은 어획량이 많을수록 재래식보다 적게 소요된다는 사실이 규명되었다.

  • "테우"는 옛 제주의 험난한 앞바다를 누빈 전통 떼배이다. 이를 바탕으로 제주의 해양 문화를 상징하는 독창적인 캐릭터를 제작하여 바다세계를 정복하도록 하는 '테우광' 게임을 제안한다. '테우광'은 특별한 낚시배인 "테우" 캐릭터를 이용하고 등장 배경은 제주만의 특징을 소재로 하며, PDA의 장점인 휴대성과 멀티미디어 이용 등을 바탕으로 한 게임이다. 단순한 스포츠 게임이 아니라 테우 캐릭터의 인터렉션에 따른 다양한 시나리오를 가지는 형태로, 지역문화와 사이버 공간을 접목시키는 디지털 스토리텔링의 구조를 띈다. 낚시 속에 이야기가 있으며 이야기를 사용자 스스로가 만들어가는 양방향적인 커뮤니케이션이 가능하다. 테우광 게임은 '사용자들에 의해 자발적으로 만들어지는 갈등 구조, '이 자발적인 갈등 구조를 유도할 수 있는 가상공간' 그리고 마지막으로 '공간적 역동성'을 제시한다. 정해지지 않은 결과는 테우광 게임이 젊은층의 제주 관광객들을 중심으로 인기를 끌 수 있게 할 것이다. 더 나아가 제주 문화 기반 게임을 할 수 있도록 함으로써 제주 문화의 부가 가치를 한 단계 높일 수 있을 것이다.

생력형 기선권현망 어구의 전개성능 (The Opening Efficiency of Labor Saving net for the Anchovy Boat Seine)

  • 기선권현망어업의 어구 개량과 조업시스템 개선을 목적으로 생력형어구를 제작하여 현장조업선에 의한 해상실험을 실시하여 어구의 형상과 조업시스템을 관찰한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 생력형 어구의 양선간격에 따른 오비기 앞끝, 오비기, 수비, 앞창, 자루그물 입구, 깔때기, 자루그물 뒤끝의 망고 변화폭은 각각 5.0${\sim}$7.8, 14.4${\sim}$21.1, 16.2${\sim}$21.2, 14.0${\sim}$17.3, 11.7${\sim}$13.9, 5.4${\sim}$6.9, 8.2${\sim}$9.8m이었고, 각 부분의 실제 전개율은 50${\sim}$78, 25${\sim}$36, 24${\sim}$31, 31${\sim}$38, 61${\sim}$73, 71${\sim}$91, 87${\sim}$104%로 나타났다. 2. 생력형 어구는 그물목줄 부착으로 오비기 앞끝의 전개가 신속하게 이루어지고 있으며, 개량된 나발그물 부착으로 축소형 개량어구보다 포켓형상을 대폭 개선시켜 어군의 유도가 매우 원활하였다. 또한, 양선간격 및 예망속도 변화에 따른 어구 형상이 매우 안정되었으며, 망고의 변화 폭이 크지 않아 어구의 전개성능이 향상되었다. 3. 자루그물의 개량으로 어구저항 감소, 예망속도 증대 및 입망된 어군의 도피가 현저히 감소하여 어획량이 현용어구보다 증가하였으며, 조업시스템의 개선이 가능하였다.

기선권현망 축소형 개량어구의 전개성능 (The Opening Efficiency of half size modified net for the Anchovy Boat Seine)

  • 기선권현망어업의 어구 개량과 조업시스템 개선을 목적으로 자루그물을 A, B 2가지로 달리한 축소형 개량어구를 설계, 제작하여 현장조업선에 의한 해상실험을 실시하여 어구의 형상을 관찰한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 축소형 개량어구의 실제 전개율은 오비기에서 20% 정도로 가장 작았고, 뒤쪽으로 갈수로 커지며, 자루그물에서는 110% 정도로 가장 컸으며, B형이 A형에 비하여 5~10%정도 크게 나타났다. 자루그물 입구와 뒤끝의 망고 변화폭은 A형이 9.0~13.6, 9.3·10.4m이고, B형이 10.9~14.8, 5.8~8.0m로 나타나서 B형이 A형에 비하여 자루그물 입구는 1~2m 크고, 뒤끝은 2~3m 작았다. 2. 축소형 개량어구는 오비기의 수직방향 전개성능이 개선되어 수비에 이르기까지의 예망수층이 완만하게 형성되었으며, 예망수층의 변화폭이 기존어구에 비해 적게 나타났다. 나발 그물이 포켓형상을 개선시켜 그물코의 날림현상 감소와 수비에서 자루그물까지의 어구형상이 완만하게 이루어졌으며, 예망속도가 느린 경우에도 어구의 형상이 안정되었다. 3. 축소형 개량어구 B형은 자루그물의 변화폭이 적었고, 이중깔대기의 부착으로 인해 입망된 어군의 도피율이 감소하였다.
