고속 채널 기반 네트웍에서 SDP 프로토콜 성능 평가 (A Performance Evaluation for SDP(Socket Direct Protocol) in Channel based Network)

  • As using of network Increases rapidly, performance of system has been deteriorating because of the overhead and bottleneck. Nowadays, high speed I/O network standard, that is a sort of InfiniBand, PCI Express and so on, has come out to improve the limites of traditional I/O bus. The InfiniBand provides some protocols to service the applications such as SDP, SRP and IPoIB. In our paper, We explain the architecture of SDP(Socket Direct Protocol) and its features in channel based I/O network. And so, we provide a result of performance evaluation of SDP which is compared with current network protocol. Our experimental results also show that SDP is better than TCP/IP protocol.

A New Method for Color Feature Representation of Color Image in Content-Based Image Retrieval Projection Maps

  • The most popular technique for image retrieval in a heterogeneous collection of color images is the comparison of images based on their color histogram. The color histogram describes the distribution of colors in the color space of a color image. In the most image retrieval systems, the color histogram is used to compute similarities between the query image and all the images in a database. But, small changes in the resolution, scaling, and illumination may cause important modifications of the color histogram, and so two color images may be considered to be very different from each other even though they have completely related semantics. A new method of color feature representation based on the 3-dimensional RGB color map is proposed to improve the defects of the color histogram. The proposed method is based on the three 2-dimensional projection map evaluated by projecting the RGB color space on the RG, GB, and BR surfaces. The experimental results reveal that the proposed is less sensitive to small changes in the scene and that achieve higher retrieval performances than the traditional color histogram.

  • 글로벌 금융위기의 진원지인 동북아시아 지역은 전통적으로 석유의 생산 및 소비 불균형이 심화된 지역이며, 최근에는 급증하는 석유거래로 인해 저장 및 수송설비의 부족현상까지 겪고 있어 안정적 석유 공급을 위협하고 있다. 따라서 동북아시아 지역 내 독립적인 석유물류허브 기능을 갖춘 시설과 석유거래의 기능까지 담당할 수 있는 시장의 형성이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 동북아 지역의 석유물류허브 구축 후보 국가를 대상으로 한 석유산업 관련 설비인 정제시설의 정태적 및 동태적 효율성 분석을 통해 시사점을 도출하였다. 동북아 역내 주요 국가들의 석유정제설비의 효율성은 우리나라가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났으며 우리나라가 동북아시아 지역의 석유물류거점의 역할을 수행하기 위해서는 정부의 적극적인 정책지원이 필요하다.

  • 폐기물을 이용한 공공 자원회수시설, BIO-SRF를 이용한 민간 열원시설 열에너지를 효율적으로 활용함에 있어 투자 대비 회수 기간의 경제성 문제가 대두 되었고, 이로 인하여 기존에 통상적으로 설계 시공 운영 되었던 온도, 압력 조건 범위값을 넘어서 실현 가능한 최적의 온도, 압력 조건의 열원 설비가 필요하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 운영 중인 열원시설을 대상으로 온도와 압력 조건에 따른 모델링을 통하여 에너지 전력 생산량을 분석하였고, 도출된 에너지 전력 생산량을 통하여 온실가스 배출량 감축 특성을 연구하였다. 최종적으로 폐기물 및 바이오매스 연료를 이용한 열에너지 생산시설의 효율적인 에너지 활용을 위해서는 고온의 온도와 고압의 압력 생산시 효율적인 에너지 생산이 이루어지고 경제성 있는 투자와 회수로 이루어지리라 판단된다.

  • 도시의 집중화로 인하여 도시미관이 중요시되면서 복잡한 지상시설물들을 지하에 매설하게 되었다 그러나 다양한 종류의 시설물들이 좁은 공간에 집중적으로 매설되면서 이들 시설물들에 대한 유지관리의 어려움과 부정확한 확인으로 인하여 빈번한 사고를 유발하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 우선 지하매설물의 탐사법을 비교평가하기 위해 현장실험모형을 구성하여 전자유도탐사법과 지중탐사법이 지하매설관거의 자료취득에 유용한 방법임을 확인할 수 있었다. RTK-GPS를 이용하여 지하매설물에 대해 실시간 평면 위치정보를 획득하여 재래적인 측량방법과 비교한 뒤 지하시설물도의 위치 정확도를 분석하였다. 또한, ArcView를 이용하여 지하시설물의 3차원위치와 매설심도를 DB화하고 지하매설물 정보 체계(UIS)에 활용하므로써 지하시설물에 대한 효과적인 유지관리, 재해방지에 기여하고자 한다.

Development of Traditional Indonesian Boatyards: The Simulation of Collaborative Working with a Large Shipbuilding Facility

  • As Indonesia determines to increase its marine fishery production, the development of tradi-tional boatyards has to be included in the agenda as it will give the local fishing communities a better chance to compete with large capital intensive fishing companies. It will also spread job opportunities evenly throughout the country instead of concentration fishing vessel con- struction in a few large shipyards located primarily on the highly populated island of Java. However development every single boatyard in indonesia would not only be prohibitively ex-pensive, but it would also create social tensions as the introduced technology would not be immediately accepted by the rural societies whose own traditions are still culturally signif-icant. Both these problems can be reduced by developing a collaborative scheme between traditional boatyards and a larger shipyard. The shipyard, with modern facilities, can develop work packages containing knock down components which are then assembled in the tradi-tional boatyards. The work packages are planned and designed so that every component can be assembled with relatively simple tools. Radical changes can be avoided as new techniques can be introduced gradually, responding to the boatyard\\`s own requirements and aspirations. While this manufacturing procedure is conceptually straightforward its efficient implemen-tation is in practice complicated by the fact that each traditional boatyard has unique char-acteristics in terms of labour resources, technological capability, and transportation links.   • 본 논문에서는 전통시장 활성화를 위한 IT 측면에서의 소상인의 소액결제를 지원하기 위한 NFC 기반의 소액 결제 모델과 소액결제를 위한 인증 및 프라이버시 기술을 제안한다. 모바일 소액결제 모델은 NFC 기반의 스마트폰을 이용하여 결제의 편리성을 제공하며, 암호화 및 토큰화 기술에 의한 사용자 결제의 MD 인증과 간접 인증, 그리고 프라이버시의 기능을 설계한다.

해외 패시브하우스의 건축구조유형별 계획특성 연구 (A Study on the Planning Characteristics of Passive House by the Building Structural Types in Foreign Cases)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the planning characteristics of passive house by the building structural types in foreign cases. The interests and demands about passive house have been increased, and various building structural types and design methods have been attempted for passive house in Korea. But domestic research results and development experiences about passive house were lack. The results of this study are as follows; First, in terms of energy performance, insulation performance, airtightness, there are not significant differences at the 95% confidence level by the structural types of passive house. Second, in terms of the types of insulation materials, there are significant differences at the 95% confidence level by the structural types of passive house. Third, in principle there is no need of traditional heating facility in passive houses, but in practice traditional heating facilities are used additionally in about half of survey cases for the comfort of occupants.

  • The need of constructing high-tech facilities is one of the important issues concerning the competitiveness by the high-tech companies. It, simultaneously, offers a magnificent opportunity for construction participants. Nevertheless, the high-tech construction is experience-based, resulting in little related construction knowledge that has been statistically analyzed and documented. This study measures and confers with the profit patterns causing the disparity between the traditional and high-tech construction. The database was the result of collecting detailed information of 65 construction projects from eight construction companies, including detailed records of over 20 main construction operations in each project. All of these were performed during the recent 10 years and encompassed in the project types of the high-tech construction, residential building, and commercial building. Rendering suggestions regarding profit management and expecting to economize cost of learning from inexperience while extending to the high-tech construction were both presented.

COVID19 Innate Immunity through Natural Medicine in Palau

  • In an internal document, CORONA-VIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) PLAN, release developed stated that "on January 22, 2020, Palau Ministry of Health activated its emergency operations center, and since then has prepared and put in place measures in response to this global pandemic." The actions eventually led to the closure of most flights coming into Palau as a method to protect its population. The population of is at high risk with COVID19 due to the very elevated rate of NCD's, as well as the limited access to proper testing and treatment facilities. Increased use of traditional medicines in the population has reduced the co-morbidities by reducing risk factors. Furthermore, the expansion of tradtional NCD therapies, especially that of DAK reduce pressure due to obesity and diabetes therefore allowing for unimpaired immune systems to combat deadly infectious diseases such as COVID19.
