한국에서는 교육을 중요시하고 있으며, 그 중에 영어교육에 상당히 치중해 있다. 이러한 교육에는 공교육과 사교육이 있는데, 대다수의 가구에서는 사교육에 대한 비용을 지출하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 각 가구에서 지출하고 있는 사교육비와 수능성적과의 관계를 살펴본다. 분석결과 사교육비의 지출과 수능성적 간에는 양(+)의 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사교육 총 투입시간과 수능성적 간의 관계에서도 양(+)의 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The concept of the "Seidenstrassen" (Silk Road) was created by the German geographer F. von Richthofen (1833-1905) in 1877. The "Seidenstrassen" means communication between China and the Roman cultural area. To prove the route of dissemination of silk, Richthofen not only focused on geographical substantiality, based on the routes of the Chinese Zhang Qian and the Roman Ptolemy, but also on etymological, historical, and religious sources. In fact, his Silk Road concept has the trade of silk as well as the humanistic ideas of cultural exchange. It is worth noting that in his book China, Richthofen presented the Silk Road as a space-time concept that considers the length of space as well as the length of time by highlighting humanistic examples that came into modern times through the Sea Route. Later, the English term "Silk Road" appeared in 1938, the Japanese term "シルクロ-ド" (sirukurodo) in 1939, and the Korean term "실크로드" (silkrodeu) in 1952.

Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian (and the Border Trilogy) can be used as a touchstone with which the limit of American literature is tested. For his text is particularly significant in the sense that its language mixes English with Spanish; its characterization confronts Americans with non-Americans; and its narrative structure traverses the geographical and symbolic borderlands between America and Mexico. In this sense, his novels deserve to be reexamined under the rubric of Chicano/a Studies, Hemispheric American Studies, transnationalism, etc. Rereading McCarthy's Blood Meridian, this paper attempts to rethink its historical complexity in relation to Manifest Destiny, focusing on the border-crossing motifs of filibustering and scalp-hunting. For this purpose, I pay due and careful attention to the ways in which the ideology of Manifest Destiny was created, circulated, and manipulated among the 19th century American expansionists and border-crossing agents. Of course, my discussion does not omit the significance of the U.S.-Mexico borderlands in the contemporary Chicano/a Studies and Hemispheric American Studies. In these historical and interdisciplinary contexts, I investigate how the 19th century filibusters like Captain Smith and his followers fall prey to the imperial practice of Manifest Destiny. I would also interrogate whether and how the Glanton Gang's scalp trade is involved in the capitalist desire of Manifest Destiny.

The current study observes the durational interaction of tautosyllabic consonants and vowels in the word-initial position of English and Korean child-directed speech (CDS). The effect of phonological laryngeal contrasts in stops on the following vowel duration, and the effect of the intrinsic vowel duration on the release duration of preceding stops in addition to the acoustic realization of the contrastive segments are explored in different prosodic contexts - phrase-initial/medial, focal accented/non-focused - in a marked speech style of CDS. A trade-off relationship between Voice Onset Time (VOT), as consonant release duration, and voicing phonation time, as vowel duration, reported from adult-to-adult speech, and patterns of durational variability are investigated in CDS of two languages with different linguistic rhythms, under systematically controlled prosodic contexts. Speech data were collected from four native English mothers and four native Korean mothers who were talking to their one-word staged infants. In addition to the acoustic measurements, the transformed delta measure is employed as a variability index of individual tokens. Results confirm the durational correlation between prevocalic consonants and following vowels. The interaction is revealed in a compensatory pattern such as longer VOTs followed by shorter vowel durations in both languages. An asymmetry is found in CV interaction in that the effect of consonant on vowel duration is greater than the VOT differences induced by the vowel. Prosodic effects are found such that the acoustic difference is enhanced between the contrastive segments under focal accent, supporting the paradigmatic strengthening effect. Positional variation, however, does not show any systematic effects on the variations of the measured acoustic quantities. Overall vowel duration and syllable duration are longer in English tokens but involve less variability across the prosodic variations. The constancy of syllable duration, therefore, is not found to be more strongly sustained in Korean CDS. The stylistic variation is discussed in relation to the listener under linguistic development in CDS.

1. To define 'Korean medicine industry' through study on existing medicine related industries, Korean medicine industry means all industrial activities related to Korean medicine. It covers material resources such as herbs and products made with herbs, medical instruments, Korean medical service and related information service based on Korean medicine theories. 2. According to Korea National Statistical Office standard industrial branch, Korean medicine industry was classified as a large branch. There were industries such as agriculture, food and beverage manufacture, publishing, copy of prints and record media, manufacture of compound and chemical products, medical service, manufacture of precise optical instruments, wholesale trade and product mediation, retail trade, restaurant, research and development, education service, health preservation service, entertainment, culture and sports industry related to the Korean medicine industry. 3. If we classify this according to the industry branch of English economists Clark, Colin Grant, herb cultivating industry will be classified as primary industry, manufacture of foot and beverage related to Korean medicine, secondary industry and wholesale and retail sales of herb, research and development, education, health preservation, social welfare, tertiary industries.

This study aims to explore how college students have adjusted to Internet-based learning (IBL) since the pandemic and how they have subjectively experienced their Internet-based classes including live-streaming and recorded classes. We conducted a qualitative study on 16 college students in South Korea. The analysis of the in-depth interviews revealed that despite early negative experiences regarding adjustment to IBL, the participants seemed to have developed an increased sense of control over their learning and simultaneously reported a greater need for self-discipline and social support in order to stay motivated. Also, instructors' digital competence and creative attempts to facilitate class communication and discussion appeared to have influence on successful IBL. Lastly, the participants' physical learning environments seemed to impact their online learning in terms of their level of alertness and motivation for study. Implications and suggestions were discussed.

The parties shall perform all actions necessary for the proper and expeditious conduct of arbitral proceedings. This includes complying without delay with any determination of the tribunal as to any and all procedural or evidential matters, or with any order or directions of the tribunal, and where appropriate, taking without delay any necessary steps to obtain a decision of the court on a preliminary question of jurisdiction or law. The parties are free to agree on the powers of the tribunal in case of a party's failure to do something necessary for the proper and expeditious conduct of the arbitration. The parties' general duty may be based on agreements, such as the duty not to ask the court for a dispute, the duty to carry out arbitral awards, and the duty of confidentiality. In this study, as a premise, after confirming the discussion related to Article 40 (general obligations of the parties) of the law, the arbitral tribunal will analyze the authority to execute it based on Article 41. As a matter of fact, in LMAA Terms 2017, the parties want to analyze what is required in order to proceed effectively.

This study aimed to provide the most accurate analysis possible regarding the buyer's duty to examine goods and give notice, or the like, of non-conformity to the seller under Belgian law in comparison with the CISG and CESL. Even though Belgium is the capital of the Europe Union, most of its laws remain untranslated in English. Therefore, this study may offer key insights into the specificities of Belgian law, which while being derived from the French Napoleon Code has its own practices coded into its Case Law. It also makes a comparison with the new CESL and CISG in order to evaluate their respective influence on national law and other infructuous attempts to harmonize Belgian law for the internal European market. Evaluating the differences of each system in the spirit of comparative law may be a good basis for the development of laws in each jurisdiction.

본 연구는 신용장거래에서 은행의 독립지급의무 및 이 의무에 대한 예외적인 취급원칙과 방향에 대한 문제를 소재로 취급하였다. 독립원칙과 독립원칙에 대한 예외문제는 신용장의 본질에 관계되지만 국가마다 이러한 문제를 취급하는 태도에 차이가 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 영국에서의 태도를 분석하기 위해 독립원칙과 예외문제를 취급한 판례 중에서 지도적인 판례로 인정되는 사례를 중심으로 하여 독립원칙과 예외문제를 취급하는 영국의 입장을 분석하였다. 영국법원은 가능한 한 상인들 간에 형성되어 온 상관습을 존중하려는 입장을 취해 왔으며 독립원칙의 실무적인 적용에 있어서도 이러한 입장을 반영하여 독립원칙의 중요성을 강조하면서도 실질적으로는 개개의 사안마다 당사자의 형평을 고려하여 예외문제를 취급하여 왔다. 그러나 미국의 Sztejn 사건을 계기로 하여 영국에서도 독립원칙의 적용에 대한 태도의 변화를 보여 신용장거래에서의 사기뿐만이 아니라 기초계약에서의 사기도 독립지급의무에 대한 예외사유로서 인정하기 시작하였다. 그렇지만 독립원칙에 대한 예외의 운영방식에 따라 신용장제도의 존재의의가 상실될 우려가 있고 또한 발행의뢰인에 의해서 예외적용을 남용할 가능성도 있다는 문제점들을 감안하여 영국은 비록 사기적인 요소가 존재하지만 수익자 자신이 선의의 입장에 있는 경우에는 수익자를 보호하는 입장을 채택함으로써 예외인정과 예외의 남용문제 간의 조정을 도모하고 있다.

기명식 선하증권과 해상화물운송장을 영미법과 우리나라법 그리고 해상운송관련 국제협약을 고찰하여 분석한 결과 기명식 선하증권은 영국이 1992년 해상화물운송법을 제정하기 전에는 기능에서 국가 간 차이가 있었으나 동법 제정 후 우리나라와 미국, 영국 모두에서 동일한 법적 지위와 기능을 가지게 되었다. 기명식 선하증권은 세 국가 모두에서 화물수취의 영수증, 운송계약의 증거기능 뿐만아니라 지시식 선하증권과 같은 권리증권성을 가지고 있다. 해상화물운송장은 세 국가 모두에서 계약적·법적 지위가 같았다. 즉 위탁화물을 운송인이 수취했다는 영수증이며, 운송계약의 증거이다. 다만 비유통성이고, 수하인의 신분확인만으로 운송인이 화물을 수하인이나 그 대리인에게 인도할 수 있으며, 해상화물운송장 양도·양수를 통해 화물에 대한 소유권을 취득하거나 해상운송인에 대한 법적 권리를 취득할 수는 없다.
