SELECTION OF DESIGN PARAMETERS IN OPTICAL SYSTEM OF STAR TRACKER FOR A SATELLITE (위성용 STAR TRACKER 광학계의 설계요소 선정)

  • In order to develop star trackers for a satellite in our country we studies selection procedure of optical parameters. For logical selection of the optical parameters, we simulated the entire processes in which star lights imaged on a CCD sensor were read into and processed in an associated electronics. The simulation resulted in relations between star's magnitude and achievable pointing accuracy, from which we derived optimal optical parameters to satisfy a required pointing accuracy of a star tracker. The selected optical parameters were used in an optical system design of a star tracker with a pointing accuracy of 10 arcsec.

  • This study investigates the worlds most favorite SNS, the Facebook, with the theory of Empathy, that there will be an effect to users due to their characteristics. We approach the data scientifically with using an Eye tracker, by analyzing the vision and attention of users of Facebook with stimuli of whether it's an image or text filled contents in newsfeed of Facebook. With the result of an eye tracker, we cross analyzed with General Empathy Scale to compare that users limit of feeling of empathy gave effect on contents of Facebook. Discussion and implications are discussed in terms of empathy.

  • We propose a robust visual object tracking algorithm fusing a convolutional neural network tracker trained offline from a large number of video repositories and a color histogram based tracker to track objects for mixing immersive audio. Our algorithm addresses the problem of occlusion and large movements of the CNN based GOTURN generic object tracker. The key idea is the offline training of a binary classifier with the color histogram similarity values estimated via both trackers used in this method to opt appropriate tracker for target tracking and update both trackers with the predicted bounding box position of the target to continue tracking. Furthermore, a histogram similarity constraint is applied before updating the trackers to maximize the tracking accuracy. Finally, we compute the depth(z) of the target object by one of the prominent unsupervised monocular depth estimation algorithms to ensure the necessary 3D position of the tracked object to mix the immersive audio into that object. Our proposed algorithm demonstrates about 2% improved accuracy over the outperforming GOTURN algorithm in the existing VOT2014 tracking benchmark. Additionally, our tracker also works well to track multiple objects utilizing the concept of single object tracker but no demonstrations on any MOT benchmark.

  • This paper is on the user equipment (UE) side time tracker design and implementation of the wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) system. The time tracker is constructed as a second order closed loop including time error detector (TED), loop filter (LP), numerically controlled oscillator (NCO), and sample selector (SS). Through the simulation, we found the gain of the TED as a function of the CPICH power contribution to the total transmission power of the base station. Also we derived the transfer function of the loop and the BER versus DPCH power relationships where timing offsets and loop noise bandwidths are used as parameters. In the curve, we can conclude that there are appropriate loop noise bandwidths according to the given environments for the better performance.

  • Star tracker placement configuration is proposed and the properness of the placement configuration is verified for star tracker's sun avoidance angle requirement. Precision attitude determination system is successfully designed using a gyro-star tracker inertial reference system for a candidate LEO spacecraft. Elaborate kalman filter formulation for a spacecraft is proposed for covariance analysis. The covariance analysis is performed to verify the capability of the proposed attitude determination system. The analysis results show that the attitude determination error and drift rate error are good enough to satisfy the mission of a candidate spacecraft.

  • 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅에 적합한 데이터 분산 저장 및 병렬 처리가 가능한 IT 인프라 구축이 필수적이다. 이를 위해서 분산 파일 시스템 중 하나인 HDFS(Hadoop File System)와 병렬 데이터 처리를 지원하기 위한 MapReduce 프레임워크 관련 연구가 각광 받고 있다. 하지만 MapReduce 프레임워크를 구성하는 JobTracker 노드는 SPoF(Single Point of Failure)이기 때문에, 작업 도중 JobTracker 노드의 결함이 발생하게 되면 전체 작업이 실패하게 된다. 위와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 MapReduce 프레임워크의 JobTracker 노드 결함 발생에 대처할 수 있는 결함허용 메커니즘을 제안하였다.

A Design of the Solar Tracker for LED Streetlight in Using Solar Cell (태양전지를 이용한 LED 가로등의 태양광 추적 장치 설계)

  • A standalone LED lighting system in using solar energy has been used usually less than 70W of lighting power because of a troublesome installation and maintenance. In this system, as more and more LED lighting power increases, the capacity of photovoltaic panel does proportionally, and to improve the charging efficiency of solar energy, MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) techniques is used frequently, but the solar tracker is not. In this paper, a solar tracker which traces the light of the sun in varying hour to hour is studied to apply to the standalone LED lighting system. This solar tracker consists of twin axis for tracing the azimuth and altitude respectively, and it has a robust structure with safe mode to stand a strong wind. As a result of analysis, generating efficiency of the traced type has improved on the fixed one 28.84% on average.

  • The demand for human security significantly promotes the development of surveillance applications using a multi-sensor integrated UAV system. For more sophisticated operations, the system should provide a sequence of images rectified in a ground coordinate system in realtime. This rectification requires accurate position and attitude of the camera at the time of exposure of each image, which can be estimated through an Aerial Triangulation process using the GPS/INS data and tie points between adjacent images. In this work, the KLT tracker is utilized to obtain the tie points. To satisfy the realtime requirements, we present an approach to speed up the tracker by supplying the initial guessed positions of tie points based on the exterior orientation. The experimental results show that, when the guessed positions are supplied, the KLT tracker consumed less computational time than the ordinary KLT which is more suitable to be incorporated into the realtime image georeferencing process.

  • Finding sufficient supplies of clean energy for future is one of the society's most important challenges according to technologies. Alternative renewable energy source such as sun energy can be substituted for exceeding human energy need. The main factor affect to solar performance is a collective intensity. To enhance intensity, suitable equipment is a solar tracker. This paper presents design and evaluation of 1 layer polar motion control system for solar tracker suitable for building integrated system. To evaluation of tracking accuracy and adaptability, solar tracker with 64 links is implemented. In experimental results, the accuracy of tracking has under ${\pm}0.0287^{\circ}$ and the thickness has under 140mm.

  • In this paper, 150W photovoltaic system using neural network tracker is proposed, the system designed as the normal line of the solar cell always runs parallel the ray of the sun. This design can minimize the cosine loss of the system output results of solar cell are sensitive to the change of weather and insolation condition don't react rapidly to parameter condition change such as system circumstance and deterioration. To achieve precise operation of photovoltaic tracker system using method of intelligent control, Neural Network is used in the design of the photovoltaic tracker system drive. The control performance of this system drive influenced by the environment parameter such as weather condition and motor parameter variations. we used synchronous motor in this tracker and the experimental results show that the fixing system shows 10,159[Wh] and tracking system shows 12,360[Wh] electricity.
