도상이 장대 레일의 선형 온도 좌굴에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Track Resistance on Linear Thermal Buckling Characteristics of CWR)

  • For many decades, the railway was constructed using tracks with jointed rails of relatively short lengths in accordance with rolling and handling technology. The joints cause many drawbacks in the track and lead to significant maintenance cost. So, railroad engineers became interested in eliminating joints to increase service loads and speeds by improving rolling, welding, and fastening technology, Continuous welded rail(CWR) track has many advantages over the conventional jointed-rail track. But in the case of the elimination of rail joints, it may cause the track to be suddenly buckled laterally by thermal and vehicle loads. Thermal loads are caused by an increase in the temperature of railway track. In this paper, CWR track model and CWRB program are developed for linear buckling analysis using finite element method(FEM). The finite element discretization is used with a total of 14 degrees of freedom for each rail element. The stiffness of the fastener, tie, and ballast bed are included by a set of spring elements. The investigation on the buckling modes and temperature of CWR track is presented in the paper.

  • Recently, the development of the paved track is required as a Low-maintenance of conventional line. The main reason is that the line capacity and bearing of track are increased progressively. The most important factor of paved track is stability and applicability. To be based on this subject, Cement Mortar Pouring(CMP) paved track is developed. CMP paved track is a kind of ballast reinforced track using the pre packed concrete technique. The most important to design is characteristics of the structure. CMP slab's thickness is less than the conventional slab track and pouring layer is attached tie and roadbed directly. On this paper, to verify the basic structure of the CMP track, characteristics of the structure is investigated pouring layer, tie and interaction of the each layer using the 3D finite elment analysis.

  • CWR(Continuous Welded Rail) has many advantage over the conventional jointed rail track. The use of CWR track not only reduces the track maintenance cost, but increase the life cycle of track components. As the use of CWR increases in track structures, derailing disasters associating with track buckling also increase in great numbers due to high compressive thermal stress. Despite the importance, the number of studies relevant to the instability is quite limited. In this paper, It considers the contribution of rail-pad-fastener resistance, uplift of tie and nonlinear analysis. Influence of various track components on CWR track temperature and mode shape were characterized.

  • The use of the CWR track has increased consistently in the worldwide. Because the use of CWR track not only reduces the track maintenance cost, noise and vibration, but increases the life cycle of track components. Therefore, to increase train speed, improve riding condition and secure running stability, the necessity of study on making CWR is increasing. This study includes the development of a thermal buckling theory in the evaluation of curved track stability. The lateral stability of curved CWR is studied for track buckling prevention through the parameter studies. It studied the lateral buckling of the curved CWR track on the 3-D nonlinear analysis. The parameters include rail size, cant, track curvature.

  • 철도노선에 콘크리트궤도가 본격적으로 적용되고, 승차감 향상 및 고속화와 궤도유지보수비용 저감을 위해 장대레일의 수요가 급증하고 있다. 그러나 국내의 콘크리트궤도 현장 적용년수가 길지 않아 실제 현장에서 반복적인 열차하중을 받아 장대레일이 파단된 사례가 현재까지 없기 때문에 실제 현장 데이터를 이용하여 장대레일의 수명을 예측하고 교체주기를 산정하는 것은 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 차량/궤도 상호작용해석을 통해 레일에서 발생하는 응력을 검토하여 그 해석결과 값에 대해 중회귀분석을 수행하여 운행속도와 표면요철에 따른 레일 휨응력 예측식을 도출하였다. 최종적으로 산정된 예측식을 이용하여 콘크리트궤도 장대레일의 피로수명을 예측하였다.

A mechanical model of vehicle-slab track coupled system with differential subgrade settlement

  • Post-construction subgrade settlement especially differential settlement, has become a key issue in construction and operation of non-ballasted track on high-speed railway soil subgrade, which may also affect the dynamic performance of passing trains. To estimate the effect of differential subgrade settlement on the mechanical behaviors of the vehicle-slab track system, a detailed model considering nonlinear subgrade support and initial track state due to track self-weight is developed. Accordingly, analysis aiming at a typical high-speed vehicle coupled with a deteriorated slab track owing to differential subgrade settlement is carried out, in terms of two aspects: (i) determination of an initial mapping relationship between subgrade settlement and track deflections as well as contact state between track and subgrade based on a semi-analytical method; (ii) simulation of dynamic performance of the coupled system by employing a time integration approach. The investigation indicates that subgrade settlement results in additional track irregularity, and locally, the contact between the concrete track and the soil subgrade is prone to failure. Moreover, wheel-rail interaction is significantly exacerbated by the track degradation and abnormal responses occur as a result of the unsupported areas. Distributions of interlaminar contact forces in track system vary dramatically due to the combined effect of track deterioration and dynamic load. These may not only intensify the dynamic responses of the coupled system, but also have impacts on the long-term behavior of the track components.

  • The vibration resulting from railway operation is transmitted through the track and line structure, ground movements to adjacent buildings. As these vibration is growing, there is occurred exaggerated forces and displacements of the track and line structure and it is causing the differential settlement. It is difficult to clarify the dynamic response characteristics of trackbed because of various environmental conditions. However, track irregularity be affected by ununiformed bearing capacity and its dynamic response, study for dynamic response characteristics is required to investigate the cause of track irregularity and countermeasure. This study was intended to evaluate the numerical analysis which exam the response analysis characteristic of ground vibration by shape of cutting and embankment transition zone. The original method of analysis were have to examine variables such as directions, angles, drain conditions, linear conditions. However, In the analysis there were to consider the effect of moving loads according to directions of cutting and embankment transition zone.

  • The objective of this paper is to evaluate the proposed design by the Value Engineering (VE) analysis for the gravel ballast and the concrete ballast track structures. However, reliabilities about the VE analysis results based on Life-Cycle Cost(LCC) has not been fully benefited from VE implementation due to disregard of basic principles and lack of systematic performance measurement systems. In this paper, the VE analysis using the Delphi survey of professional group is proposed to decide reasonable determinants for investment and alternative design in construction project of railway tracks. Moreover, the efficiency of VE analysis is invested by an application of the developed methodology to track structures.

도시철도 인접굴착공사에 따른 운행선 궤도의 궤도틀림 분석 (Evaluation of Track irregularity due to Adjacent Excavation Work on Serviced Urban Transit)

  • 본 연구는 도시철도 선로를 인접하여 시공되는 대형굴착공사에 따른 기존 지하철 선로구조물의 구조적 안정성을 검토하고자 수치해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석을 바탕으로 단계별 시공과정에서 발생되는 궤도틀림의 영향을 해석적으로 도출하였으며 관련 기준과의 비교를 통해 궤도변형측면에서의 안정성을 검토하였다. 분석결과, 줄틀림과 면틀림과 같이 일정거리에서의 상대변위차를 바탕으로 평가되는 궤도틀림 항목의 경우 인접굴착공사 시종점부와 같이 기존 구조물의 변형이 시작되는 위치에서 가장 명확하게 발생되었다. 반면 궤도의 전반적인 연직 및 수평변위는 공사구간의 중심에서 최대변형이 발생되었다. 인접굴착공사에 따른 기존 구조물의 변형측면의 취약위치는 공사구간의 중심과 같이 구조물의 변형이 크게 발생되는 위치뿐만 아니라 궤도틀림 측면에서는 공사 시종점 구간이 취약위치가 될 수 있음을 해석적으로 입증하였다.

도시철도 교량상 급곡선 자갈궤도용 콘크리트침목 손상원인 분석 (Damage Cause Analysis of Concrete Sleepers for Sharp Curved Track on Urban Railway Bridge)

  • 약 본 연구에서는 도시철도 교량상 급곡선(R=180m) 구간에 부설되어 있는 침목 하부에 방진패드가 부착된 자갈도상 궤도구조의 콘크리트침목 손상유형에 대한 원인을 검토하고, 침목중량화 및 도상자갈 개량에 따른 콘크리트침목의 손상저감 효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 대상 교량에 부설되어 있는 콘크리트침목의 손상(균열) 발생 유형을 조사하였으며, 종합검측차를 활용하여 획득한 궤도틀림과의 상관관계를 통해 비교·분석하였다. 또한 수치해석 프로그램을 활용하여 궤도구조별 콘크리트침목 구성품에 발생하는 응력을 검토하여 개량에 따른 콘크리트침목의 손상 저감 효과를 입증하였다. 분석결과 궤도틀림이 심한 구간에서 침목의 축방향 균열이 주로 발생하였으며, 수치해석결과 궤도구성품 및 콘크리트침목에 발생하는 응력은 4-Anchor를 사용하는 체결구조에서 하중 분산 효과에 따라 발생하는 응력 수준은 작게 나타났다.
