확장 SELECT 방법에 의한 새우조망의 꽃새우(Trachysalambria curvirostris) 망목 선택성 (Size Selectivity of a Shrimp Beam Trawl for the Southern Rough Shrimp Trachysalambria curvirostris with the Extended SELECT Method)

  • Southern rough shrimp Trachysalambria curvirostris is exploited mainly by small shrimp beam trawl in coastal regions of Korea. To determine the size selectivity of a shrimp beam trawl for this species, a series of comparative fishing experiments was conducted in the sea adjacent to Geoje Island off the southern cost of Korea in June and November, 2010, using codends with four different mesh sizes(14.2, 17.8, 25.5, and 35.3 mm). The extended Share Each Length's Catch Total(SELECT) analysis method, based on a multinomial distribution, was applied to the fishing data to obtain a master selection curve. The model with the estimated split parameters fit the catch data best. The master selection curve was estimated to be: s(R)=exp(15.183R-7.872)/[1+exp(15.183R-7.872)], where the relative carapace length, R, is the ratio of carapace length to mesh size. The relative carapace length for 50% retention was 0.518, and the selection range was 0.145. The results suggest that codends with a larger mesh size allow more small-sized shrimps to escape.

  • The southern rough shrimp Trachysalambria curvirostris (Stimpson) was monthly sampled from the coastal area of Yeosu, Korea from June 2000 to May 2001 and its stomach contents were investigated. Mysids and amphipods were the most dominant prey, comprising >40% of the diet in both % occurrence and % abundance. In particular, mysids were most important food without regard to seasons, size classes, or sexes. The abundance and occurrence composition of food items showed a seasonal fluctuation: mysids and amphipods were the predominant prey items in spring (33.8%), summer (41.1%), autumn (43.9%), and winter (49.2%). For small-sized shrimps (>25 mm CL), mysids and amphipods consist of more than 45% of its food in both % abundance and % occurrence. For large-sized shrimps (>25 mm CL), these were clearly dominant. The quantities and items of food did not differ in both genders, which mainly fed on mysids and amphipods. The trophic diversity and equality of diet varied with seasons and size classes. The diet diversity for smaller shrimps was highest in spring, while that for the larger shrimp lowest in winter. Also, the mandibular structure of Trachysalambria curvirostris indicates that the species is carnivorous.

  • The southern rough shrimp, Trachysalambria curvirostris (Stimpson 1860) (formerly known as Trachypenaeus curvirostris) occur in the East China Sea, Korea and Japan to China(Kubo, 1949; Paulinose, 1982), and is locally abundant species in the coastal areas of Korea(Kim, 1997). The main investigations into diets of shrimps have been on the Penaeidae(Chong & Sasekumar, 1991; Wassenberg & Hill, 1993), Crangonidae(Pihl & Rosenberg, 1984; Allen, 1966; Boddeke et at., 1986). 부산 주변해역에서 출현하는 성대 (Chelidonichthys spinosus)의 식성 (Feeding Habits of Bluefin Searobin (Chelidonichthys spinosus) in the Coastal Waters off Busan)

  • 2005년 1월에서 12월까지 부산 주변해역에서 채집한 출현하는 성대(Chelidonichthys spinosus) 646개체의 위 내용물을 분석하였다. 성대의 주 먹이생물은 대롱수염새우 (Solenocera melantho), 둥근돗대기새우(Leptochela sydniesis), 꽃새우(Trachthysalambria curvirostris) 같은 새우류(Macrura)였으며, 게류(Brachyura)와 어류(Pisces) 등도 섭이하였다. 체장 25cm 이하의 비교적 작은 개체는 둥근돗대기새우, 게류, 어류 등을 주로 섭이하였고, 25 cm 이상의 큰 개체는 대롱수염새우, 꽃새우 같은 큰 크기의 새우류를 주로 섭이하였다. 성대의 먹이생물 크기는 성대의 체장이 증가함에 따라 증가하는 경향을 보였다.

  • 우리 나라의 서해와 남해 연안을 분포하는 꽃새우는 북쪽으로는 강화도에서 남쪽으로 사랑도까지 널리 분포한다. 본 연구에서 대상으로 한 거문도 인근해역 꽃새우의 암ㆍ수 성비는 암컷이 48.6%로 나타났고, 이 개체군은 7월과 8월에 성숙하고, 년 1회 신생 개체군이 발생되었다. 교미한 개체는 7월과 8월에 출현하기 시작하고, 갑각장 19 ㎜ 이상의 암컷에서는 반 이상이 교미한 것으로 나타났으며, 숙도지수는 7-8월에 최고치를 나타내었다. 암컷의 최소 성숙개체는 갑각장 18 ㎜이고, CL/sub 50/ 성 성숙체장과 교미체장은 각각 갑각장 18.89 ㎜와 19.19 ㎜로 나타났다. 체장 빈도 변화에 의해 추정된 거문도 개체군의 수명은 암컷 14-15개월이고, 수컷은 13-147개월 나났다. 변형된 von Bertalanffy 성장식에 추정된 성장계수(K)는 암ㆍ수 각각 1.40/년과 2.00/년이고, 최대 갑각장(L/sub ∞/)은 암ㆍ수 각각 29.54 ㎜와 18.95 ㎜이었으며, 암컷이 수컷 보다 성장이 빠르고, 큰 것으로 나타났다.

충남 연안 조망어업의 어획특성 (Fishing Characteristic of Beam Trawl Fishery in the Coastal Waters of Chungnam Province, Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 충남 연안에서 연안조망의 어획 특성을 파악하기 위하여, 2008년 3월부터 2009년 2월까지 매월 2~4회 연안조망을 사용하여 어획조사를 실시하였다. 조사 해역은 동경 125도 50분~126도 05분, 북위 36도 15분~36도 25분의 해역이었고, 총 19목 63과 96종이 채집되었다. 그 중 어류가 54종, 갑각류가 27종, 복족류 및 이매패류가 9종, 그리고 두족류가 6종이었다. 생체량은 어류가 51.4 %로 가장 많았으며, 갑각류는 34.2 %를 차지하였다. 꽃새우는 7월~11월에 출현량이 많았고, 12월부터 5월까지는 적은 양이 출현하였다. 연안조망의 목표종인 꽃새우는 전체 어획물의 2.1 %로 낮은 채집 비율로 출현하였으며, 꽃새우 이외 어종의 부수적 어획물의 양적 비율이 높아, 꽃새우 어획이 부수어획으로 어획되는 종들의 수산자원에 미치는 영향이 클 것으로 판단된다.

한국 남해안 새우류 군집의 계절변이 (Seasonal Variation in Shrimp Communities in the Southern Coast of Korea)

  • We examined seasonal variation In the abundance and species composition of shrimp communities in Doam Bay and around Naro-do, Korea. Samples were collected monthly from March 2001 to February 2002 (Doam Bay) and from December 2000 to November 2001 (Naro-do) usinga beam trawl. A total of 19 shrimp species representing eight families were collected from Doam Bay. The dominant species were Exopalaemon carinicauda, Trachysalambria curvirostris, Parapenaeopsis tenella and Crangon hakodatei, which accounted for 92.6% of individuals and 92.8% of biomass. In the Naro-do area, a total of 18 shrimp species representing eight families were collected. The dominant species were C. hakodatei and P. tenella, which accounted for 78.6% of individuals. Exopalaemon carinicauda, T. curvirostris, P. tenella, C. hakodatei and Metapenaeus joyneri accounted for 89.6% of biomass. In each season, the pattern of species appearances differed in the two areas.

  • 소리도 주변해역에서 서식하는 새우류의 종조성과 계절변동을 파악하기 위하여 2000년 6월부터 2001년 5월까지 매월 1회씩 사리기간중 간조시에 채집하였다. 조사기간 동안 채집된 새우는 6과 16종이었으며, 그라비새우, Ρ. gravieri, 꽃새우, Τ. curvirostris, 마루자주새우, C. hakodatei, 중하, Μ. joyneri등이 연중 우점하였다. 월별 출현종수는 8월, 10월, 11월에 14종으로 가장 많이 출현하였으며, 하계인 6월과 7월에 각각 8, 10종으로 가장 적은 종이 출현하였다. 종다양도 지수는 0.14∼0.82의 범위를 나타내었으며, 5∼7월에는 비교적 낮은 값을 보였는데, 이는 균등도 지수에서도 마찬가지 결과였으며, 반면 9∼12월에는 비교적 높은 종다양도 지수 값을 보였다. 본 연구 해역에서 채집된 새우류는 출현 양상에 따라 주거종과 계절종, 일시방문종으로 나눌 수 있었다.

서해 함평만 십각 갑각류의 종조성과 계절변동 (Species Composition and Seasonal Variation of Decapod Crustacean Assemblage in Hampyeong Bay, Korea)

  • Species composition and seasonal variation of decapod crustacean assemblage in Hampyeong Bay, Korea were examined. Sampling was monthly made by a shrimp trawl between March 2003 to February 2004. A total of 39 species of 20 families were collected. Of these, Latreutes planirostris, Palaemon gravieri, Parapenaeopsis tenella, Exopalaemon carinicauda, Charybdis japonica, Trachysalambria curvirostris and Palaemon macrodactylus were dominant species comprising $84.3\%$ of the total number of individuals. Charybdis japonica, P. gravieri, Oratosquilla oratoria, E. carinicauda, T curvirostris, Metapenaeus joyneri and P. tenella represented $90.6\%$ of the total biomass. While total abundance (number of individuals) was high in spring, total biomass and species richness (number of species) and diversity were high in summer. Cluster analysis, based on monthly abundance data of the 14 most common species, showed that the species were separated into three different groups. Group A composed of Leptochela gracilis, Alpheus japonicus, Crangon uritai, P. macrodactylus, E. carinicauda, P. gravieri, O. oratoria, C. japonica, which were year round residents, group B M. joyneri, T. curvirostris and P. tenella, which were abundant in summer, and group C Crangon hakodatei, Latreutes anoplonyx and L. planirostris, which were abundant in winter. Principal component analysis revealed that seasonal variation in the decapod crustacean assemblage was attributed to the abundance of temporal species such as penaeid shrimps, which were abundant in summer, due to seasonal variation of water temperature and reproductive pattern.

서해안 안강망의 끝자루 망목크기에 따른 주요 어종의 어획과 혼획 (Catches of main species and bycatch according to the codend mesh sizes of stow net on anchor in the West Sea of Korea)

  • Experimental fishing was carried out to compare the catches of main species and bycatch according to the codend mesh size (raschel, 15mm, 25mm, 35mm, 45mm) of stow net on anchor in the coastal waters of Seocheon after manufacturing five kinds of fishing gears and commercial fishing boat (7.93 tons) was used for it. Anchovy (Engraulis japonicus), southern rough shrimp (Trachysalambria curvirostris), beka squid (Loligo beka), cuttle fish (Sepia esculenta), swimming crab (Portunus trituberculatus) were dominant on the five kinds of experimental fishing gears. Southern rough shrimp was caught from all kinds of fishing gears and catches of anchovy was highest in the raschel codend, southern rough shrimp for 15mm, 25mm, 35mm codend and beka squid for 45mm codend. Bycatch proportion against total catches was 623,376g (28.7%) for 2,171,844g in raschel, 11,932g (1.7%) for 704,451g in 15mm, 3,616g (1.6%) for 221,432g in 25mm, 9,276g (4.9%) for 191,052g in 35mm and 2,724g (5.3%) for 51,431g in 45mm.
