  • 무공해 자동차를 만들기 위해 중요한 요소로서는 주행거리와 알맞은 가격이다. 니켈-수소 배터리와 같은 향상된 배터리의 개발은 부분적으로 문제를 해결할 수 있으며, 또 하나의 효과적인 방법은 배터리 관리 시스템이나. 니켈-수소 배터리와 배터리 ECU는 주행거리, 가속도, 등판능력과 같은 무공해 자동차의 성능에 영향을 미치는 중요한 구성품이다. 예컨대 운행 중 쉽게 발생하는 단락, 과방전, 과충전은 배터리와 관계되는 가장 큰 문제점이기 때문에 전용의 HEV용 배터리 ECU의 개발은 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 배터리 전류적산 및 전압에 기초한 HEV용 SOC 알고리즘을 제안하고 배터리 ECU를 설계 및 해석하였으며, 시험을 통해 타당성을 검증하였다.

Lean Adoption in Third Party Logistics Industry to Achieve Efficient Logistics Activities

  • Purpose: This study focuses on lean implementation evaluation in Third Party Logistics (TPL) industry by using the lean principles measurement from Toyota Ways which consist of 14 principles. The core goal of this study is to appraise the lean implementation level in Third Party Logistics in East Java of Indonesia in order to achieve efficient logistics, distribution and transportation activities. Research design, data and methodology: This study uses a sample of 80 respondent who are Third Party Logistics managers in East Java Province, Indonesia. Data collection uses a questionnaire and standard statistical test was performed in order to analyze questionnaire. Results: The implementation level of lean management in Third Party Logistics shows that application of principle 3 (utilizing pull systems) has a higher score than the other principles. This situation shows that management give the best performance in plan process. They prioritize customer requirement in every process designed. However, the principle 8 (using reliable technology) show the weakness performance. Conclusions: Overall, this study shows the Third Party Logistics in East Java Province of Indonesia have applied the lean principle quite well, although the scores are only slightly above the average. This condition provides a strong basis for further lean implementation, especially for improving logistics, distribution and transportation activities in Third Party Logistics Business.

금속 보강재를 이용한 에폭시 수지형의 특성 향상 및 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics Improvement of Epoxy Resin Mold Using Metal Fillers and Its Application)

  • As the cycling time of new products have become more and more short in recent years, the demand for lowering the cost and reducing the production time becomes stronger. In order for the demand, the rapid prototyping and rapid tooling technology have been used. It has been widely known that RP technology has advantages with fabricating 3-D object having a complicated geometric shape. RP products, however, have a limitation with applying to the real die and mold because soft materials such as resin, paper and wax has been mostly used in RP technology. So in this paper, the RP products have been copied to semi-metallic soft tools using the mixture of metal fillers and epoxy resin. In order to evaluate the effect of the fillers on the characteristics of semi-metallic soft tools, three fillers are used including commercial aluminum powder, cast iron powder recycled by machining chips, and aluminum short fiber made by self-excited vibration technique. Besides, in the case of aluminum powder, the change of characteristics of semi-metallic soft tools is also tested according to the volume fraction of the powder.

아연니켈 합금도금 용접부 품질향상 (Improvement of quality for welding speck in Zn-Ni electroplating)

  • (주)PMPT사는 국내 뿌리산업 분야의 Zn-Ni자동차부품 도금업체로서 남동공단에 위치하고 있다. 하지만 자동차품질 향상에 기본이 되는 도금 기술자료가 부족하여 연구개발에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 또한 미래자동차용 용접부품의 도금 품질향상을 위한 최신 기술정보제공이 필요한 실정이다. 이에 다년간 이론과 경험을 겸비한 도금전문가의 활용이 필요한 실정이다. '아직도 녹슨 자동차를 탈 것인가?' 지난 2003년부터 10년간 '녹슬지 않는 자동차', '녹과의 전쟁'을 목표로 자동차부픔의 품질기술지도가 실시되었다. PMPT사도 이에 동참하여 자체의 경험과 기술로써 용접부 품질을 개선하여 왔다. 하지만 경험에 의존해 왔던 PMPT사 자체의 도금기술로써는 유렵의 BMW사나 Toyota사의 Zn, Zn-Ni 합금도금에 대한 기술변화와 수출경쟁에 대처하기가 어려운 실정이다. 특히 용접부는 자동차 사고의 치명적 결함이다. 이에 도금전문가를 활용하여 해외의 선진도금 기술정보제공과 함께 미래의 자동차부품 품질향상을 위한 기술지원을 실시하였다. 세부적인 기술지원 내용으로서는 Zn, Zn-Ni합금도금제품 용접부품에 6가 Cr을 사용하지 않는 친환경 Chromate Free, Zn-Ni합금도금 용접부 내식성 향상을 위한 Ni의 최적함량과 메커니즘을 지원하였다. 필자가 도금현장에서 근무하면서 터득한 까다롭고 어려워하는 도금기술과 최신의 해외 Chromate Free표면처리 기술을 제공함으로써 수출향상과 품질기술력 향상에 이바지 하고자 하였다.

  • 최근 글로벌 경쟁이 치열해 지면서 가격경쟁력이 뒷받침되지 않으면 신흥 시장에 대한 대응이 어려워져 가격경쟁력의 중요성이 부각되고 있으며, 구조적인 비용 상승 추세로 기업의 원가 압력이 증대되고 있고, 이러한 변화된 경쟁 환경에서 생존하기 위해서는 전체적인 생산성 향상이 필수이다. 가격경쟁력 강화 및 원가압박을 해소하고 품질, 가격, 납기 전반에 모방할 수 없는 차별화된 경쟁력의 확보는 생산성 향상을 통해서 실현할 수 있고, 생산성 향상을 통한 경쟁력 있는 기업 육성은 우리 제조업을 발전시키는 토대(infra structure)이며, 기반 시설의 확충이다. 본 연구에서는 현재 외국의 혁신방법을 우리산업 현실에 대한 고려 없이 단순 도입으로 국내 실정에 맞지 않아 상당한 시행착오를 격고 있으며, 국내에 벤치마킹 할만한 제조혁신 방법론이 거의 없고, 벤치마킹하려고 해도 기업의 영업비밀이라 배우기도 쉽지 않은 상황에서 우리산업 현실에 맞는, 중소 중견기업의 맞춤형 생산성 혁신 지원도구로 중소기업의 자생적인 혁신을 위해 중소기업의 수준에 맞는 제조혁신 방법을 국내외 제조혁신 전문가로 컨소기엄을 구성하여 한국생산성본부에서 개발된 한국형제조혁신 방법론을 제조기업에 적용하여 성공적인 결과를 다른 기업에 적용 할 수 있도록 하는데 목적을 둔다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 문헌연구를 통해 일본의 TPS(Toyota Production System), 미국의 Lean 시스템 및 6시그마 시스템에 대하여 살펴보았고, 한국형 제조혁신 모델인 KPS(korea production system)를 통신장비 제조회사인 M. 사에 적용하여 실증하였으며, 그 결과 우수한 성과를 보임을 확인할 수 있었다.

The Use of Feed-forward and Feedback Learning in Firm-University Knowledge Development: The Case of Japan

  • The problem Japanese universities face is exactly the same as that of German universities: no international recognition in world rankings of universities despite their high levels of postwar economic and technological developments. This was indeed one reason why world-class Japanese firms, such as Toyota and Sony, have avoided working closely with Japanese universities for R&D partnership and new technology commercialization. To resolve this problem, the Japanese government has continuously implemented aggressive policies of the internationalization, privatization, liberalization, and privatization of universities since the onset of the economic recession in 1989 in order to revitalize the Japanese economy through radical innovation projects between universities and firms. National projects of developing medical robots for Japan's ageing society are some of the ambitious examples that emphasize feed-forward learning in innovation. However, this paper argues that none of these programs of fostering university-firm alliances toward feed-forward learning has been successful in promoting the world ranking of Japanese universities, although they showed potentials of reinforcing their conventional strength of introducing $kaizen$ through feedback learning of tacit knowledge. It is therefore argued in this paper that Japanese universities and firms should focus on feedback learning as a way to motivate firm-university R&D alliances.

정지공기중 점성유체 분류의 분열길이 측정 (Measurement of Breakup Length of Viscous Liquid Jet in Stagnant Air)

  • The measurement of breakup length of viscous liquid jet in stagnant air was conducted by a 3CCD digital video camera. The nozzle diameters of 4, 6, 8mm with L/d=50 were selected and the dynamic viscosity of viscous liquid made of glycerine and water was in the range of $1.061\times10^{-6}m^2/s$ to $4.935\times10^{-5}m^2/s$. The critical velocity is decreased and the breakup length is increased with the increase of nozzle diameter at the same dynamic viscosity of liquid. At the same nozzle diameter, the breakup length and the critical velocity are both increased with the increase of dynamic viscosity of liquid. It is found in the theoretical analysis that the initial disturbance level is the main cause of occurrance of critical Reynolds number in the stability curve. The comparison of experimental critical Reynolds number and the empirical correlation by Tanasawa and Toyota reveals the relatively good agreement.

수소에너지에 대한 ISO 표준화 동향과 시사점 (Current Status of Standardization of ISO TC197)

  • Commercial production line of FCEV was built in 2013 by Hyundai and followed by Toyota in 2014, with additional manufacturers planning to enter the market around 2017. Now there is limited hydrogen infrastructure over the world, but more hydrogen stations are planned, particularly in Japan, Korea, Germany, UK and USA. ISO TC 197 which was created in 1990 focused standardization in the field of systems and devices for the production, storage, transport, measurement and use of hydrogen. Total number of published ISO standards related to the TC and its SCs (number includes updates) is 17. Now there are 20 participating countries and 13 observing countries. The current status of activity of ISO TC197 was reviewed and particularly issues on hydrogen quality and hydrogen refueling station were discussed.

  • Semantic segmentation has remained as a challenging problem in the field of computer vision. Given the immense power of Convolution Neural Network (CNN) models, many complex problems have been solved in computer vision. Semantic segmentation is the challenge of classifying several pixels of an image into one category. With the help of convolution neural networks, we have witnessed prolific results over the time. We propose a convolutional neural network model which uses Fully CNN with deconvolutional pixel layers. The goal is to create a hierarchy of features while the fully convolutional model does the primary learning and later deconvolutional model visually segments the target image. The proposed approach creates a direct link among the several adjacent pixels in the resulting feature maps. It also preserves the spatial features such as corners and edges in images and hence adding more accuracy to the resulting outputs. We test our algorithm on Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Toyota Technologies Institute (KITTI) street view data set. Our method achieves an mIoU accuracy of 92.04 %.
