In this study, it propose what the landscape elements is to be improved urgently and how to improve landscape by reflecting the rural village characteristics away from the spatial integrated landscape planning. The study area for landscape research is selected as the 9 rural villages in Chungcheongbuk-do, and research is done by using village unit landscape diagnostic index(VULDI). the result is shown that average VULDI value of the rural village zones is bigger than one of the town village zones with difference of 15%. Two zones of Chilseong-myeon and Sangchon-myeon among the town village zones are appeared to be similar with the rural village zones in landscape level by VULDI value. Generally, the rural villages to maintain the good landscape have the low population and high engagement rate in agriculture. Looking political support criteria at the landscape level, the seven zones except Deoksan-myeon and Maengdong-myeon have high VULDI value more than 60%, which means that it seems unnecessary to support political landscape improvement. However, when it is divided into two parts of the village inside landscape and the surrounding landscape, 8 rural village zones except one zone of Sangchon-myeon have low VULDI value less than 60%, which means it is necessary to support political landscape improvement. It is important to give the intensive support of ever urgent landscape improvements and high priority landscape elements on the results of the diagnostic before planning of the rural landscape formation.
In modern Asia major cities had same problem with lack of affordable housing for families. So they had to concentrate to the mass supply of housing and made some physical counter effects like high density of cities, limitation of parking space. Also people who lived in those cities could suffer from broken traditional community culture. To rebuild traditional community and increase land usage, Block housing is suggested as a new kind of multi-family housing for old town redevelopment. Now some governments are trying to make urban code to give some initiative for new block housing development in old city blocks. They expect this new housing type can help to solve serious problems like lack of parking area, green space and context of block. Also they hope that block housing development can help to increase safety of town and reduce cost of development. The purpose of this study is to review the establishment and development process of Block Housing and to confirm the aspect which has been changed with urban organization together. Also this study tried to find out the intentional characteristics of similarities and differences with comparison of Korea and Japan. And as a result we could find critical physical viewpoint, and provide considerations for future study and plan. Several cases of block housing in Korea and Japan were reviewed for comparative study and Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) survey was examined to find satisfaction factors and problems which were expected to improved.

Objective of Urban regeneration is a recovery of urban utilities through a physical, environmental, cultural, industrial and economic regeneration. The current paradigm of urban regeneration is not a simple redevelopment as physical redevelopment or improvement. This study is proposed that value system management applied the benefit management, value system, Quality Function deployment for a value conflict of urban regeneration. There is a reason to conflict value that value system is unstructured. Because this study is proposed to establish the process of value system, and applied this process to Se-woon 4th area urban regeneration project. An Analysis on the Pre-Feasibility Evaluation Factors of Activation for Welfare Facilities for the Residents in Apartment Building. The adapted research method of selected case five apartment building in D new town and carried out questionnaire survey to residents and user for draw items of feasibility evaluation. Drew items of feasibility evaluation classify as Plan section, Design section, and Operation section and evaluate the weight of each section utilizing analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Depending on the purpose and methods. The results of this study are as follows: Such as Plan section, Composition of Program Facility, User Charge Survey, Arrangement of Program Room were analyzed highest. Such as Design section, Arrangement of Program Room, Circulation planning, Educational Equipment were analyzed highest. And such as Operation section, Operation costs, Operation Plan, Review of Program Facility were analyzed highest.
The purpose of this study was to grasp the consciousness of adolescents about their future in old aged housing. This research was executed with a questionnaire survey method. Data samples were collected from 255 students who finished first grade curriculum in high schools in Chonbuk province and Seoul city. The results were as followed. First, a healthcare plan was very highly recognized by students, and they wanted to live as couples or single in their old age. Second, the respondent students recognized elderly housing as a home for the aged, a silver town and nursing home. 72.1% of the respondents preferred a single detached house as an elderly house form. They preferred an elderly housing district with well provided convenient facilities for daily living. They wanted to live in the country or rest areas for the aged. They preferred an interior space composition with LDK with 2 bedrooms. 52.0% students wanted a neighborhood for their friends to live together. Third, 28.3% of the respondent students thought the appropriate time to move in elderly exclusive housing was 66-70 years old. And when their physical condition worsened or they needed care, they would. want to move into that housing. Also, they wanted the most convenient facility and a medical care facility in elderly exclusive housing. Forth, students' space design needs for elderly were high, more than 4 points. It was especially needed safety in space design, and this grade was 4.56(,53) points. Also the needs of safety and the convenient facilities.equipments were statistically significant by boys and girls.

This study aims to find out the better management plan for city master plannning as an ODA to accomplish the economic effect. For this study, the "Hai Phong New Town Development Project" and the "Modification of Hue City's Master Plan" were studied. The result of the case study shows that there was difference between the two projects which was the status of following projects. While those two projects were highly acclaimed, only Hue project had several projects. This is because of the understanding degree on ODA project of participants, the distinct characteristics of the recipient country; Vietnamese local and central government, and the difference of each project's main purpose. And the result of FGI shows that to accomplish economic effects of master planning project as ODA, the enthusiastic approach to find out following project from the beginning step of the master planning, the experience of project manager on ODA, the close association with the recipient country, and the positive support from the Koica especially, the local office were crucial.

Jinju city is operating by selecting 8 places as the flood inundation risk area and by designating shelters on this area targeting districts damaged by typhoon and heavy rain, in the past. This study selected the research area as Nabul district and Sangpyeong district where are located in the town and that has high population density out of districts with inundation risk. The network analysis of GIS was applied to the suitability assessment on location of shelter by calculating the moving speed and the arriving time after dividing it into children, general adults, and aged people in consideration of the evacuation condition in inundation disaster. As a result, it was indicated that optimal evacuation plan time for children and aged people exceeded in getting to the shelter because of evacuation time excess and that even general adults outrun the prescribed evacuation time in some districts. Accordingly, a problem for evacuation time was improved by additionally designating 1-2 shelters to existing shelters in Nabul and Sangpyeong districts. A countermeasure is needed to reduce life and property damage in disaster occurrence by implementing the evacuation warning and the age-based evacuation plan more specifically in the future.

It is a important problem that the adjustment of a rural settlementas a unit of rural community, and many number of researcher tackled its. The aim of this paper is to verificate the process of rural con-struction, that is applied the regional resources, and to introduce the situation of attending inhabitants, and their employments as a results of this planning. We chose Odaira hamlets in Oomama town, it is located in Gunma prefecture as an object of this study. Odaira is a small village in the mauntain, and it is composed only 135 families. Odaira is an underpopulated hamlet. It is engaged no lively farming and forestry. Most of inhabitants are commuting to the cities around here. Inhabitants of Odaira who are conscious of the conditions of declining hamlet organized a group to improve it. This group have investigated all around the hamlet as a system of workshop. And they found the resources for sight-seeing, crops as the regional products, and other resources for rural planning under three keywords ; resources for the sight-seeing, the rigional products, and theimprovement of environments. In many resources, most important thing was the existens of a stalactite cave come down as a legend from old time. Local government of Oomama town and the inhabitants tried to explorate of stalactite cave and succesed to excavate it. They have constructed two facilities for management, parkaround the stalactite cave and these have been a new place of work for inhabitants. Arrangement of the rural constructions developed to other items schemed acording to the master plan, like as a camping ground, bungalows, a wet botanical garden, and a park beside a river. These also produced the new places of work for 54 people as a result of this rural planning. The most of them were the aged peoples and the women of farmer. The highest age was 83 years old, he is working at the camping ground. In the employment system at Odaira, people who desire to work and desire to employ both registrate to a commission of management of Odaira, and this commission arrange them in case of needs.

In this study, the adequacy of water supply critical factors of urban design was examined. The supply of water supply is analyzed in various ways as the design progresses. Starting with basic data collection and analysis a supply and demand plan is established to calculate the amount of water supply and in this study the adequacy of population estimation and original unit calculation was evaluated. Among the second new cities where actual data can be secured Wirye New Town was selected as the study target area. Related data were analyzed to confirm the future population and the original unit and compared with the measured data. As of September 2020, the population of Wirye New Town was 93,977, showing the appropriateness of about 84% with a planned population of 110,990 confirming that the planned population and the actual population were almost similar. In the case of the original unit, it was calculated as 314 liters per person in Seoul and 320 liters per person in Seongnam at the time of design. As a result, it was found that there was some agreement in the population estimation while examining the supply in the planned city. In the case of Korea, there is a lot of interest in revitalizing the existing city, away from continuous development. Therefore it is judged that there is a need for further research on the adequacy of supply for the old city center.
Since the first five-year economic plan starting in 1962, Korea has pursued the policy of economic growth emphasing on the export-oriented industrialization. As a result of export-oriented industrialization, national economy, as a whole, has leveled up. But growth gap between rural and urban area became widened due to declining agricultural sector. Therefore, at this time, development policy for the agriculture should be changed into the broader plan including the welfare of rural residents in order to improve their living conditions. The results of this study are summarized as follows ; 1. The results of survey shows that only 15.5% of rural residents satisfy their rural lives and that 62.8% of residents want to leave their town. Difficulty of educating their children in rural area is found to be major reasons for moving out 2. The results of surveying the demand for rural development by rural residents are figured as follows ; (1) Industrial-economic development - Agricultural development : 38.4% - Rural industrialization development : 23.4% - Farm machinization : 162% (2) Social development for rural residents - Improvement of rural welfare : 33.4% - Expansion rural organization for development : 25.8% - Improvement of educational circumstances : 20.1% (3) Living conditions - Amelioration of community and housing facilities : 55.1% - Disposal facilities for trash : 20.5% As the surveying results show, it can be concluded that rural residential area development project must be enforced to meet demand for the development for rural residents.
