Effect of Oxygen Flux on FTO Thin Films Using DC and RF Sputtering

  • Transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) are essential material in optoelectronics such as solar cells, touch screens and light emitting diodes. Particularly TCOs are attractive material for infrared cut off film due to their high transparency in the visible wavelength range and high infrared reflectivity. Among the TCO, Indium tin oxide has been widely used because of the high electrical conductivity and transparency in the visible wavelength region. But ITO has several limitations; expensive and low environmental stability. On the other hands, fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) is well known for low cost, weather ability and stable in acidic and hydrogen. In this study, two different magnetron sputtering techniques with RF and DC modes at room temperature deposition of FTO thin film was conducted. The change of oxygen content is influence on the topography, transmittance and refractive index.

  • 본 연구는 멀티터치 인터페이스를 이용한 음향 효과 재생 시스템을 구현하고자 한다. 적외선 카메라를 통해 인식된 손의 위치를 분석하고 해당위치에 형성된 오브젝트의 물리적 움직임을 통해 미리 설정된 음향과 리듬효과를 얻는다. 본 연구에서는 시 청각적 피드백을 사용하여 보다 풍부한 감성을 자극시켜 엔터테인먼트 효과 외에 아동 치료 목적으로도 사용 할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하였다.

  • Mechanical properties of metal injection molded titanium and titanium alloy parts were investigated in this study. Material powders with low oxygen content and spherical shape were obtained by electrode induction-melting gas atomization which could melt and atomize titanium and titanium alloy bars with no touch on crucible or tundish. Tensile specimens were fabricated from obtained powders by metal injection molding process. Tensile strength of the specimens increases with increasing oxygen content. This result corresponds to a tendency of wrought metal.

  • Questionnaire survey has been made for the above study. First, 65 question sheets have been distributed to railway operators and 55 sheets of them have been collected from them. SPSS 12.0 program package has been used to analyze those sheets concerning age, experience, school, background as a frequency analysis and t-test has been made to find out recognition level difference of a cheer response, depending on the operator's experience. T-verification has been made for two groups such as less than 10 years, and 10 years or more experience. Result from correlation analysis showed that there was no difference due to operators' experience.

  • In this paper the controlled closing algorithm of the circuit breaker for isolated capacitor banks is proposed. The characteristics of circuit breakers such as RDDS(rate of decrease of dielectric strength) and a mechanical operating tolerance should be also taken into account to locate contact touch instants around voltage zero. The analysis results on the voltages across circuit breaker terminals upon closing operation play an important roles to describe the suggested method. The simulations carried out in order to verify the performance of this method show that the closing instants obtained from the proposed method provide a good suppression effect on the closing transients for both single and back-to-back capacitor banks.

  • 일반인이 많이 사용하는 이미지 편집 도구는 영상 처리 기술을 가장 많이 활용하는 프로그램으로 아주 간단한 영상 치리의 조합으로 영상이나 그림에 특별한 효과를 주어 극적인 영상을 만들어낸다. 컴퓨터를 이용하여 영상을 가공하는 기법은 많이 개발되어 왔지만 인간 중심의 사고와 휴먼터치(human touch) 기술의 중요성이 점차 대두됨에 따라 사람이 작업한 것과 같은 느낌을 주는 컴퓨터 영상 처리 기술이 새롭게 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 취도 성분을 가지고 사람이 작업한 것 같은 스케치 효과 알고리즘을 제안하고 소프트웨어로 전처리하여 이미지 결과를 확인한 후, 최적화된 알고리즘를 적용하여 VHDL설계언어를 이용한 하드웨어 설계 후, ModelSim 6.0a를 이용하여 데이터를 검증한다.

  • 최근 Touch screen panels (TSPs) 의 높은 전기적 특성 및 고해상도 요구에 따라 고품질 초박막 ITO의 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 하지만, 초박막 ITO 필름은 얇은 두께로 인해 낮은 결정성을 가지므로 높은 전기전도성을 확보하기 힘들다. 따라서 본 연구에서는, 결정성을 향상시키기 위하여 초기 박막의 성장에 영향을 주는 인자를 제어하였으며, 이러한 인자들 중 자장강도 변화에 따른 ITO 박막의 물성 변화를 관찰하였다. 그 결과 ITO 초박막의 전기적 특성은 스퍼터링 전류보다 스퍼터링 전압에 크게 의존하는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • This paper describes the braking performance of the eddy current brake for high speed trains according to the number of poles. The eddy current brake systems have to be equipped with the maximum braking force and deceleration in the given volume or mass, high braking force rate, as small normal forces as possible and stable construction. The parameters, such as the number of poles, electric ampere turns, slot width have influence on the braking force characteristics. In this paper, the effect of braking performance from the variation of the number poles is calculated by using FEM, the number of the pole which makes the maximum braking force is proposed.

Fatigue Behavior of Catenary Wires by Environments Degradation (환경열화에 의한 가선재의 피로거동)

  • The effect of surface damage on fatigue properties of catenary wires were investigated to estimate their service lift. As surface defects of the wires caused by surface corrosion increase, surface roughness gets worse, and as roughness increases, it is easy for moisture coming from rain and dew to be condensed around uneven parts of the surface. The condensed moisture causes a locally severe corrosion which leads to damage of the wires. Corrosion of catenaty wires can make their actual lifetime shorter than that originally designed. The amount of decrease was more prominent as environmental conditions became more corrosive. They are also vibrated with some amplitude everytime pantographs touch contact line. The frequent cyclic load on the wire may result in a fatigue fracture. Surface damage by corrosion can make formation of crack initiation at fatigue. In the present study, the fatigue life of the used wire was measured 35 to 50% compared with that of new one in average.

Chemical Structure Effect of Diisocyanate on the Coating Performance of Polyurethane-based Gel-coats

  • Four different diisocyanates (IPDI; isophorone diisocyanate, HDI; hexamethylene diisocyanate, HMDI; dicyclohexylmethane-4,4'-diisocyanate, and XDI; m-xylylene diisocyanate) were used to prepare polyurethane gel-coats, and the weatherabilities, physical properties, and surface characteristics of the gel-coats were investigated with respect to the chemical structure of the diisocyanates. The weathering test results indicated that all of the diisocyanates used in this study were suitable for use in the preparation of the polyurethane gel-coat. However, the set-to-touch times and physical properties of the polyurethane gel-coat indicated that the cycloaliphatic diisocyanate (IPDI and HMDI) were ideal for the preparation of polyurethane gel-coats.
