SM45C와 SCM4의 마찰용접 및 피로특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Friction Welding of SM45C to SCM4 Steel Bars and the Fatigue Properties)

  • A study on friction welding of carbon steel bar (SM45C) to chrome molybedenum steel bar(SCM4) is examined experimentally through tensile test, hardness test, microstructure test and fatigue test. so, this paper deals with optimizing the welding concitions and analyzing various mechanical properties about friction welds of SM45C to SCM4 steel bars. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1) For friction welded joints of SM45C to SCM4 steel bars, the total upset(U)increases linearly with an increase of heating time ($t_{1}$) till 6s. 2) The determined optimum welding conditions are heating time ($t_{1}$)2s, upsetting time($t_{2}$), 3s, heating pressure($p_{1}$), 4kgf/$mm^{2}$(39.2MPa), upsetting pressure($p_{2}$, 8kgf/mm$^{2}$(78.4MPa) and rotating speed(N), 2, 000rpm when the total upset(U) is 3.4mm, resulting in a computed relationship between the joint tensile strength .sigma.$_{t}$ (kgf/mm$^{2}$and the total upset U(mm); .sigma.$_{t}$ =$0.21U^{3}$ - $3.38U^{2}$ +17.03U + 66.00 3) As the elongation is increased more and more, the fracture position becomes away from weld interface and the fractures are similar to those of SM45C. Fracture is taken place on SM45C side. 4) The weld interface of two dissimilar materials is mixed strongly, and the heat affected zone is about 2.0mm at SM45C while about 2.7 mm at SCM4 side. Therefore, the welded zone and heat affected zone are very narrow, comparing with those of the joints welded by the other welding methods. 5) The fatigue strengths at N=10$^{6}$ cycles of SM45C, SCM4 and friction welded joints are 23kgf/$mm^{2}$, 33kgf/$mm^{2}$(220.5 MPa), and 22.5kgf/$mm^{2}$(220.5MPa) respectively, and fracture at friction welded joint takes place at the side of SM45C. 6) The hardness of the friction weld interface is 3 times higher than that of base metal. 7) Fatigue strength of friction welded joint is higher than that of base metal. 8) Notch sensitivity factor of friction welded joint is lower than that of base metal.

  • 본 연구는 충적하천에서 실측된 현장자료를 이용하여 흐름에 관한 저항계수와 관계식을 분석하고 유도하였으며, 연구에는 자연하천 자료 1,865개와 식생하천 자료 739개가 포함된 2,604개 자료가 사용되었다. 회귀분석에 의해 Manning 조도계수와 Darcy-Weisbach 마찰계수 관계식이 자연하천 하상재료와 식생하천 식생자료의 유량과 마찰경사를 함수로 하는 멱함수 형의 식으로 각각 유도되었다.

  • Water condensate accumulated on the surface of a fin-and-tube heat exchanger significantly affects its thermal and hydraulic performance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of condensate retention on the air-side heat transfer performance and flow friction. Total 12 samples of slit and plate fin-and-tube heat exchangers with varying fin spacing and number of tube rows are tested under dry and wet conditions. The thermal fluid measurements are made using a psychometric calorimeter. Frontal air velocity varies in the range from 0.7 m/s to 1.5 m/s. Using the experimental data, presented are the heat transfer coefficients in terms of Colburn j-factor and friction factor.

  • This study reports the analysis of the pressure drop characteristics for the air-particle flow in powder transport piping system. The pressure drop characteristics of air-particle flow in piping system is not well understood due to the complexity of particles motion mechanism. Particles or powders suspended in air flow cause the increase of the pressure drop and affect directly the transportation efficiency. In this study, the pressure drop in powder transport piping system with straight and curved pipes is analyzed for the interactions of air flow and particle motion. The total pressure drop increases with increasing of the pipe length, the mixture ratio, and the friction factor of particles due to the increasing friction loss by air and particles in a coal piping system. For the coal powders of $74{\mu}m$ size and powder-to-air mass mixture ratio of 0.667, the total pressure drop by the consideration of powders and air flow is $30\%$ higher than that of air flow only.

부주면마찰력을 고려한 단말뚝의 허용지지력 공식 분석 (A Comparison of Bearing Capacity Equations for a Single Pile Considering Negative Skin Friction)

  • 해상 매립 간척지와 같은 지반에서는 말뚝기초에서 주변 지반이 말뚝보다 상대적으로 많이 침하함에 따라 하향력이 발생하게 되며, 이 하항력은 말뚝의 침하량과 말뚝재료의 응력을 증가시켜서 기초의 안전 및 상부구조물의 사용성에 영향을 미치게 된다. 현재 국내에서는 부주면마찰력을 고려한 말뚝의 허용압축지지력 공식이 존재하나 그 적용성에 있어서 정확한 기준이 없는 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수치해석을 실시하여 부주면마찰력이 작용하는 말뚝의 거동 특성을 분석하고 지지력 산정식의 적용성 검토를 수행하였다. 국내 대표적 해양 매립 간척지라고 할 수 있는 연세대 송도국제화복합단지의 지반과 말뚝 조건을 모델링하여 선단지지 여부에 따른 수치해석을 수행하여, 그에 따른 부주면마찰력의 발생 특성에 대한 경향을 파악하였다. 또한 수치해석을 통하여 얻어진 하중-침하 곡선을 통하여 극한하중을 산정하고 그에 따른 두부하중 작용 시 발생하는 부주면마찰력을 고려하여 허용지지력 공식의 적용성을 검토하였다. 그 결과 부주면마찰력 발생이 지반의 지지력에 미치는 영향은 미미하나, 침하량 및 말뚝 재료의 허용응력에는 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 극한지지력에 안전율 3을 적용해 산정된 허용지지력과 비교시 부마찰력을 고려한 허용지지력산정법에 안전율 3을 사용한 경우 과소평가하는 경향을 보였으나 2를 적용한 경우 말뚝종류에 따라 유사하게 나타났다.

  • The measurements of heat transfer and total friction factors for turbulent flows in the convergent rectangular channels with two opposite in-line ribbed walls are reported. The study has covered three different angled ribs ($30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$ and $60^{\circ}$) and Reynolds number in the range of 22,000 to 75,000. The channel, composing of ten isolated copper sections in the length of test section of 1 m, has the channel convergence ratio of $D_{ho}/D_{hi}=0.67$. The results show that the ribs pointing downstream (${\wedge}-shaped$) is somewhat greater than the ribs pointing upstream (V-shaped) in the dimensionless Nusselt number and total friction factors.

  • An experimental study is conducted to investigate the effect of the tube row and fin spacing on the air-side heat transfer and friction characteristics of fin-tube heat exchangers with slit fin pattern. A total of twelve samples of fin-tube heat exchangers with the nominal tube diameter of 7 mm, transverse tube pitch of 19 mm and longitudinal tube pitch of 12.5 mm are tested. The thermal fluid measurements are made using a psychometric calorimeter. The raw data are reduced to the desired heat transfer coefficient in terms of j-factor and friction factor of f for various frontal air velocities, fin pitches and number of tube rows.

  • This study presents the air side heat transfer and friction characteristics of fin-tube heat exchangers with various fin types. A total of 8 samples of heat exchangers are tested. Fin patterns tested are slit, louver and plate fins. Each fin type has three cases of number of tube rows(N=1, 2, 3) and two different fin pitches. The results are plotted in terms of Colburn j-factor and friction factor f with respect to Reynolds number in the range of 200 to 510.

  • 긴 수평관에서 공기와 물의 역성층류시 적용할 수 있는 단열계면 마찰계수에 대한 준 실험식을 개발하였다. 둥근관과 사각관으로 된 단열 역성층류 실험장치를 사용하여 물의 수위 및 공기의 속도를 변화시키면서 일련의 실험을 수행하였다. 수평으로 된 원형 및 사각형 실험관속으로 흐르는 유체의 주요 유동 변수들을 동시에 측정한 실험치들과 계면이 물결파에 의해 거칠어진다는 새로운 개념을 도입하여 성층류영역의 계면마찰 계수에 대한 준 실험식을 개발하였다. 이 해석에는 다른 연구자들의 병류실험치 15개를 포함하여 총 201개의 실험치들을 사용하였다. 이 실험치들과 여기서 제안한 준 실험식의 예측치와 비교하면 오차 범위는 $\pm$30% 정도이다.

  • This study was conducted for verification and systematization of estimation method about the headloss using CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics). Head loss which happens between the inlet and outlet of in-line mixer can be a major factor for the design and construction. Also, this Case studies about the sensitivity related to the velocity in the piping system. As result, program's default calculation function was used to get each side's total pressure and the differential of each total pressure could be defined as head loss from in-line mixer. In the case of adopting pipe surface friction factor and geometry loss, Calculation residual can be much more reduced. It was found that residual of value between CFD method and field test ranged about 3 through 18 precent.
