Purpose: Driving a car is an essential component of daily life. For safe driving, each driver must perceive sensory information and respond rapidly and accurately. Brake response time (BRT) is a particularly important factor in the total stopping distance of a vehicle, and therefore is an important factor in traffic accident prevention research. The purpose of the current study was (1) to compare accelerometer. BRTs analyzed by three different methods and (2) to investigate possible correlations between accelerometer-BRTs and foot switch-BRTs, which are measured method using a foot switch. Methods: Eighteen healthy subjects participated in this study. BRT was measured with either a tri-axial accelerometer or a footswitch. BRT with a tri-axial accelerometer was analyzed using three methods: maximum acceleration time, geometrical center, and center of maximum and minimum acceleration values. Results: Both foot switch-BRTs and accelerometer-BRTs were delayed. ANOVA for accelerometer BRTs yielded significant main effects for axis and analysis, while the interaction effect between axis and analysis was not significant. Calculating the Pearson correlation between accelerometer-BRT and foot switch-BRT, we found that maximum acceleration time and center of maximum and minimum acceleration values were significantly correlated with foot switch-BRT (p<0.05). The X axis of the geometrical center was significantly correlated with foot switch-BRTs (p<0.05), but Y and Z axes were not (p>0.05). Conclusion: These findings suggest that the maximum acceleration time and the center of maximum and minimum acceleration value are significantly correlated with foot switch-BRTs.

PURPOSE: This study examined the correlation between the visual analog scale (VAS) and the rate of change in the respiration patterns according to the result of Lumbar Instability Tests (LITs) in young people with chronic low back pain (CLBP) METHODS: Thirty-six adults, aged 20-40 years with CLBP, participated in this study. The general characteristics and VAS of the participants were recorded by the subjects themselves and seven structure and functional LITs were conducted. According to the positive response number, the positive group was divided into four groups (group 1: n=8, group 2: n=9, group 3: n=10, group 4: n=9). The breathing pattern change tests were performed in three states: during forced breathing exercise and motor control tests. A total of 13 positive lists were set, each of which was scored by 1 or 2 points according to the severity. After the positive lists were scored, the breathing pattern changing rate (BPCR) and VAS were compared according to the positive response number of LITs, and the correlation between them was analyzed. RESULTS: A strong correlation was observed between the number of positive of LITs and BPCR (r= .863, p= .000) and a moderate correlation between the positive number of LITs and VAS (r= .508, p= .002). In addition, there was a poor correlation between the BPCR and VAS (r= .434, p= .008). CONCLUSION: In young CLBP people, when the structural and functional instability are both present, the changes in the respiratory pattern of the whole body can be varied and broader, and the pain scale also increases.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived stress. self respect & stress response of high school students to provide the basic data for nursing intervention programs in order to manage stress in students. The subject of this study was 279 students (male; 179. female; 100) in high school. Seoul. Korea. during the period from July. 2000. The instruments for this study was a stress management scale developed by Park Young Ae(l996), a self respect scale by Coopersmith (1967) and a physical. emotional response scale to stress by Ro, Jae Hak(1991). The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test. Pearson correlation coefficient. The results of analysis were as follows: 1) Total perceived stress between males & females didn't show a significant difference but subgroups of stress, 'parent' & 'friend' showed significant differences. Male students were experienced in 'parent' stress than females and female students were more experienced in 'friend' stress than males. 2) A significant negative correlation was revealed between perceived stress & self respect. 3) A significant positive correlation was revealed between self respect & stress response. The result of this study lead us to the suggestion that for high school students. the development of stress management methods for improving self respect should be expanded.
Purpose : This study aims to provide fundamental information for increasing a physical therapist's empowerment and suggesting effective ways to incorporate humor into the physical therapist's organizations by investigating a level of perceived sense of humor and empowerment, as well as examining the relationship between them. Method : This study was conducted in the country's 9 general hospitals, 11 rehabilitation hospitals, 20 clinics. The data of general characteristics, sense of humor, and empowerment were collected from 1 August 2012 to 25 August 2012. A total of 300 clinical instructors were distributed and collected. The call response rate was 94.7%(n=284). The collected data were analyzed by spss/pc + 12.0 Result : 1. The mean score of the physical therapist's sense of humor was $56.53{\pm}05.58$ out of 84 and each of the sub-dimensions were scored in order of emotional expressiveness, liking of humor and metamessage sensitivity. 2. The mean score of the physical therapist's empowerment was $56.67{\pm}12.72$ out of 84 and each of the sub-dimensions scored in order of meaning, competence, self-determination and impact. 3. There was no significant difference between the sense of humor and the empowerment(r=0.093, p=0.118). 4. There were no significant difference in sense of humor. 5. There were significant differences in the levels of the empowerment by sex, marriage, workers satisfaction, age, attainment in scholarship, workplace, and duration of work. Conclusion : Although there was no significant difference between the sense of humor and the empowerment. the sub-dimension of human preference was significant.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine changes in autonomic nerve responses after low-frequency transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS). Methods: Research subjects were 24 students who attend University. Subjects were divided into two groups: 1 = a low intensity group; 2 = a high intensity group. Electrodes were attached to the forearm of the dominant arm and electrical stimuli were administered for 15 minutes. Outcome measures were skin conduction velocity, skin temperature, blood flow, and pulse frequency, each of which was measured a total of 4 times. The data were analyzed using a repeated measures ANOVA. Results: In changes in conduction velocity, the main effect of time variation (in black) was statistically significant. The interaction between time and group main effects was not statistically significant; nor was the difference between the groups. Results showed that skin conduction velocity changed without any relation to group. Conclusions: Low frequency TENS selectively increases skin conduction velocity, which may be helpful for activating sudomotor function regardless of intensity.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine effects of Recorded Mother's Voice on weight and physiological reactions to the premature infants. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of watsu therapy on muscle tone in adult hemiparesis patient after stroke. The subject was a 66 year old patient with left hemiparesis whose self gait was independent with minimal assist. The subject was ambulatory with some degree of limitation and demonstrated a little tremor and asymmetry in the body. A multiple treatment design(A-B-C-B) for a single-subject research was used for this study. The watsu therapy consisted of basic moves, head cradle, underfar leg, near leg cradle in watsu I (transition flow), for 25 minutes, which lasted 12 sessions for a total 21 sessions. A baseline was conducted for a first time and a general ROM exercise was conducted after the first watsu therapy. Tone assessment scale was tested : 1. posturing at rest 2. response to passive movement 3. associated reaction Comparing to the baseline and general ROM exercise, The results showed that the watsu therapy had some positive effects on improvement of three tests and there was a more positive effects of both response to passive movement and associated reaction.
The atmosphere of foodservice facility is considered to be the total environment to which customers are exposed. Atmosphere is sometimes described as everything that makes an impression on people. On the other hand, mood is best described as the response of an individual to the various components that make up the atmosphere. Most people experience some type of reaction to the atmosphere that may be desirable or undesirable. If the individual response to the foofservice facility is favorable, the atmosphere has served to put that person into a good mood. In the highly competitive commercial restaurant field, the planning of the atmosphere for new facilities is going to be more important. The coming generation of potential customers is growing up in an environment that associates dining out with more than just good food. This study is characterized by the right atmosphere offerings. Thus, this study discusses the physical components affecting perception of atmosphere. Many of these components will be discussed in detail to show their relationship to the design of dining areas. This study identified the many physical components of atmosphere that can be manipulated and arrive at a combination that will give the desired sensations. With these backgrounds as a guide, this study presented alternatives which should not only provide atmosphere but should reach a satisfactory level of creating atmosphere from a practical standpoint. these is to maximise the perceptual effect, train the employees, and be reflected and be reflected the advertising and public relations.

Purpose : This study compared the differences in power and agility of athletes in each sports using visual response speed test (VRST) scores after conducting 10 weeks of body stability exercise (BSE) on elementary school athletes in handball, football, volleyball and conducted a post-hoc test on the measured values. The subjects of this study were baseball (n=27), taekwondo (n=22), and football (n=23) athletes with at least two years of athletic experience. A total of 72 elementary school athletes were measured by VRST after 10 weeks of BSE under the same conditions. Methods : For VRST measurement of the upper extremity, the right and left hands were alternately touched in the order the blazepod equipment lights were turned on. The number of touches for 15 seconds and response touch were measured. In the case of the measurement of lower extremity the left lower extremity was measured first when the Blaze pod equipment light came on. The average value was obtained by measuring 3 times using a measurement sensor with the position indicated in order to measure the upper arms and legs the same. Results : This study confirmed homogeneity among sports and that VRST improved after implementing BSE for sports. However, no statistically significant difference was identified when comparing VRST improvements between sports, and post-hoc test results showed no significant differences either. Conclusion : After applying the BSE program under the same conditions for 10 weeks to elementary school students who can improve their power and agility the most, the results of the examination using the Blaze pod showed that the power and agility of baseball, taekwondo, and soccer players were similarly improved. From the fact that there was no significant difference among sports, it could be inferred that the BES training program could improve VRST without being limited to some sports.
