  • We described an integrated management system, which is a design system of suction muffler(SMDS). SMDS constructs a virtual design system and possesses a Mutual Interfacing Module function using a Remote Analysis function and a GUI(Graphic User Interface). This system consists of a sever and clients. Client performs modeling and preprocessing, and server analyzes the results. The system uses Telnet and FTP based on TCP/IP protocol for connecting a client with a server.. It uses a PC at each work place as a basic platform for design and analysis of goods, and si able to manage a project as a unit. It is shown through an exsample that it is useful as a design tool in the fields.

  • In order to promptly cope with the various requirements of consumers, the environment of product development is being globalized in manufacturing industrials. For this reason, it is necessary to build up an efficient collaborative system for communication between remote area designers. Specially, while Internet and information technologies were merged with the manufacturing or business process, the research for collaborative system has become an important issue. Therefore, we propose a Web-based Engineering Collaboration Framework using SPS(SharePoint Portal Server) which is an enterprise business solution that integrates information from various system into one solution through single sign-on and enterprise application integration capabilities, with flexible deployment options and management tool. Through a Web-based Engineering Collaboration Framework, designers can share knowledge assets and have a remote conference with others via web.

  • Education using the internet, such as a virtual school and distance education, has been limited to the studies of content and method in learning, It has been less studied to make advantage of internet with regard to school administration, teachers' research, and efficient communication within a school. Therefore, it is suggested to implement groupware which can be used in a school environment. For this purpose, this study attempts to design and implement groupware on that purpose. The main content consists of 7 areas: introduction of the school(including children's room), notice room, working room, room for educational materials, individual information, parents' room, internet journey. The basic tool for a groupware is implemented on Windows NT 4.0 Server and subsequent IIS 2.0. DB management based on SQL Server 6.5 makes it enable to manage various information.

  • Among many factors to affect the network performance, this paper analyses how the buffer size of NIC(Network Interface Card) can affect web server and LAN(Local Area Network). We use the ns-2 which is defacto network simulation tool to observe the changes in drop rate, throughput, RTT(Round Trip Time), effective throughput depending on varying buffer sizes. And we analyse the effect of NIC buffer size on the web traffic in Ethernet.

  • The paper describes the design and implementation of Auto-Presentation Feature, Hanuri/C, as Client/Server tool. Hanuri/C provides editing functions for the sequence, period, type, and repeating number of auto-presentation. With the pre-fixed sequences users can get automated presentations through Hanuri/C. The proposed auto-presentation function provides an ability to automatically present the data in the database system without user intervention.

  • Spindle motor current is used to estimate the cutting force indirectly and control the feed rate for the cutting force regulation. The proposed algorithm is implemented to a DSP board based hardware for the industrial application. The software to make POP terminal communicate with the DSP board and POP server is coded under Windows 95 environment. Experiments under varying cutting conditions show that the DSP board recognizes the information of installed cutting tool and cutting conditions delivered from the POP server to use them for the proper control of the feed rate. The cutting force is regulated well during machining of tapered or stepped workpiece and circular shaped workpiece as well.

  • In recent times, IaaS (Infrastructure as a Services) have been rapidly evolving to allow developers to easily and efficiently access work in the server and network areas for development of a web of App based on cloud computing. In this study, we developed the collaborative image editing tool App based on Cloud-computing, by adopting AWS of representative company that develops IaaS. First, it is crucial to understand various situation conditions for representative infrastructure services: AWS, Azure and Google (GCP). This may have the effect of reducing manpower and development time, but as each company has different policy and technical support, we need a new study every time the environment changes of infrastructure services. We tried to develop a hybrid-App so that users with various devices can collaborate work each other by utilizing the infrastructure service AWS through the process of developing the image editing authoring tool based on the cloud computing. The future studies should continue about compatibility issues and support issues in order to minimize the problems of overseas infrastructure services, but we think that domestic cloud computing policies and developments should be urgently considered.

  • The growth of digital content market inducted to develope consuming device of various content. And through this, digital content consuming is more Promoted. But digital content cryption tool need to handle to protect and consume digital content safely. Also, interoperability of cryption tool management is impossible, because of not standardized transfer protocol between device. In this paper, we defined transfer protocol of cryption tool for protecting and consuming digital content. And in this base, we designed and implemented transfer server/client system.

  • Baseboard Management Controller(BMC) supports server monitoring, maintenance, and control functions using various communication interfaces. However, if an unexpected problem occurs during the device driver initialization process, the BMC may not operate normally. Therefore, a boot process profiling tool that accurately analyzes the device driver initialization process and provides a function to check the analysis result is essential. Existing boot process profiling tools do not specifically provide the device driver initialization process and results required for BMC boot process analysis, forcing developers to use a combination of tools to analyze the boot process in detail. In this paper, we propose an integrated profiling tool for BMC's booting process. The proposed tool provides device driver initialization process analysis, CPU and memory usage analysis, and kernel version management functions. Users can easily analyze the booting process using the proposed tool, and the analysis result can be used to shorten the booting time. Also, the proposed tool is implemented in Linux-based BMC, and it is shown that the proposed tool is more efficient than the existing profiling tool.

Design and Implementation of Digital Contract System on the Mobile Environment : M-XContract (모바일 환경에서 전자 계약 시스템의 설계 및 구현 : M-XContract)

  • Due to hardware resource limit and system incompatibility of the mobile device, and low bandwidth of wireless communication, there are a few difficulties in introducing the digital contract system based on wired communication to M-Commerce. To get over the difficulties, this paper defines a digital contract based upon XML and then addresses the design and implementation of M-XContract, a digital contract system for the mobile environment. M-XContract system has been constructed with the digital contract server, M-ESign module which contracts with the customer on the PDA and transfers the contract digitally signed to the server, M-EDecoder module which shows the contract to the customer from the server, and X-Auth which is a contract authoring tool. To evaluate the run-time performance of the M-XContract, we measured the digital signature generation time and transfer time to the server. The evaluation results show that the M-Xcontract is an efficient model for the mobile contract system.
