In thls paper, a remote machine monitoring system for a vimal machine is proposed. The monltonng system is one of the core functmns of a vimd machne that provides a modeling and simulation environment for machining processes and management of the machine life cycle. The proposed system contains the modules for investigating tool wear using neural network and web-based real time process monitoring. An example implementation for tool wear and machining status monitoring is illustrated

The information with regard to the working rance of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition is managed as detabase system for turning operation. Date with regard to the working range of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition are stroed by the DBMS(Data Base Management System) and can be added, modified, deleted and retrieved. Data stored in database system are searched to select the most proper cutting tool and cutting condition with the input data fed from the design stage. The system developed in this work is operated by the pull down menu on the IBM PC/AT personal computer, or compatible series.

Recently, there is a growing interest in BIM and modular method because of changing in users attitudes about quality of building and construction environment. however, In domestic, study on Modular method still have addressed primarily basic contents. This study check efficiency about this process through comparative analysis of Modular method and RC method used 5D BIM tool for real project and suggest a fitting schedule management method for modular method.

A web based watershed and sewer management system was developed for the analysis of stormwater runoff and sewer flow, and for optimal operation of sewer works using ArcView and SWMM. SWMM and ArcView were dynamically linked together using Avenue and Visual Basic in order to construct user-friendly management system. The developed system was applied to Choonchun city to verify its utilities. All the relevant field data were analyzed on the basis of developed system, and the modeling of runoff and sewer flow was implemented using RUNOFF and TRANSPORT blocks in SWMM. This system was connected to the management system of surface and subsurface environment management system in order to develop an integrated environmental management system. Futhermore, this system will be a critical part of overall control system of sewer works including sewer line and wastewater treatment plant. As this system can provide comprehensive prediction of flow and pollution profiles and analytical tool equipped with Web-GIS, it could serve widely as a tool not only for optimal management, but also for decision support system to examine the efficiency of planning and implementation of sewer projects.

최근 국내에서도 지식경영과 관련한 연구와 실례가 다수 발표되고 있다. 그러나 지식경영의 이론적 배경을 완전히 이해하지 못한다면, 이를 지식창출(Knowledge creation)을 지원하는 경영도구(Managerial application)로 이해하기 보다는 정보를 관리하는 또 다른 방법으로 오인하기 쉽다. 이에 본 논문에서는 지식경영이 최근 주요 경영도구로 회자되고 있는 배경을 당대의 경영환경 및 과학철학(Philosophy of Science)을 중심으로 살펴본다. 이후 데이터(Data) 및 정보(Information)와 비교되는 지식의 특성을 고려하여 이를 창출하거나 이의 흐름(Flow)을 활성화(Facilitating)하기 위한 여러 가지 방안 중 연성정보시스템 방법론(Soft Systems Methodology)을 고찰해 본다. 연성정보시스템 방법이 건설경영(Construction Management)관련 대학교육과 실무에 어떻게 접목될 수 있는지에 관한 논의로 결론을 맺는다.

This paper presents requirements for workflow management systems supporting CITIS. We propose an architecture of global workflow management system which aims at supporting external workflow among different organizations rather than internal one. The architecture consists of five key elements, that is process definition language, process graphic design tool, control engine, status monitoring tool, and interface models. For each of these elements, implementation requirements are presented and its major functions are described. A key concept to the CITIS standard is the integration of disparate systems in distributed environment. This leads us to place a special emphasis on the interface models that can enhance the interoperability between externally participating workflow systems. Two interface models for the global workflow management system are explained. CORBA, the most widely accepted standard for distributed object management, can be adopted to facilitate the integration. World Wide Web can be used for the underlying platform on which information is exchanged and the status of processes instances is monitored. The workflow management system can provide a ready and easy access to and management of the data for CALS environments.

Defining value as a measure of how well the project value objectives are met, Value Management Process (VMP) is considered to be any management effort or process that can proactively pursue one or more project objectives (i.e., security/safety, cost effectiveness, schedule optimization, and risk containment). The collection of 44 VMPs has been established based on a rigorous effort conducted by Construction Industry Institute (CII). Because varying circumstances on each project determine the level of suitability, it is crucial to identify which VMP should be implemented on a particular project. The current VMP selection process is primarily based on human intuition. The main objective of this paper is to provide a systematic method to facilitate the usage of VMPs on a particular project. This paper identified and quantified the selection principles (i.e., targeted value objectives, timing of initiation, project characteristics, and relative impact). The data collected from industry practitioners and VMP experts characterized each VMP in terms of the magnitude of benefit. An automated selection tool by Visual Basic Application (VBA) on MS Excel TM, was developed and proved its validity. As a pioneering study, this paper provides a comprehensive and structured knowledge on the subject of VMPs. From the industry's perspective, the automated selection tool, the premier of this study, contributes the facilitation of the VMP implementations in the construction industry thereby maximizing the potential benefits to a particular project.

전략경영의 중요이슈는 전략수립, 전략실행 및 성과측정에 이르는 일련의 전력경영과정을 하나의 관리적 이론으로 통합하는데 있다. 본 논문은 파워프로세스에 기초하여 전략경영 과정을 하나의 관리적 이론으로 통합하기 위한 이론과 실천적 방안을 제시하여 전략적 성공이나 지속가능 경쟁우위에 기여하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 파워프로세스의 원리와 특성을 논의하고 이를 기반으로 전략경영의 과정의 통합을 위한 학술적 및 실천적 방안을 제시하고 있다. 또한 본 논문에서는 경쟁우위를 위한 산업구조, 자원기반 및 게임이론 접근의 가정과 경쟁적 환경 및 상대적 우위에 대해서 논의하고, 파워프로세스의 성격과 특성을 규명하여 파워프로세스에 의한 경쟁우위 접근이 이들과의 상대적 위치를 규명하였다. 파워프로세스는 경쟁우위를 위한 전략수립과 관리적 개념을 통합할 수 있는 이론적 및 경영적 방안을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 전략성공에 크게 기여할 수 있다.

Purpose: The objective of this research is to explore the degree of conflict of nurses, and the relationships among conflict, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment for providing effective management of nurses. Methods: The research was conducted from July 1 to 31, 2006, with a survey of 280 nurses at seven general hospitals in Seoul. The survey tools were used Rizzo et al(1970)' tool for role conflict and role ambiguity Park(1988)'s tool for vertical conflict, and horizontal conflict, Park-Yoon's tool for job satisfaction(1992) and Mowday et al(1979) for organizational commitment. The acquired data were analyzed with SPSS using descriptive methods, t-test, ANOVA, LSD, Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: Overall conflict of nurses showed 3.00 .Job satisfaction of nurses revealed 3.12, and organizational commitment showed 3.34. The relationships between conflict and job satisfaction showed -65.6%. The relationships between conflict and organizational commitment revealed -56.2%. Conclusion: Conflict management is important factor of management for increasing job satisfaction and organizational commitment. It is needed that orientation and education program of detailed job description for nurses.
