Concrete-filled steel tubes (CFSTs) are increasingly used as composite sections in structures owing to their excellent load bearing capacity. Therefore, predicting the mechanical behavior of CFST sections under axial compression loading is vital for design purposes. This paper presents the first study on the nonlinear analysis of heated CFSTs with high-strength concrete core containing steel fiber and waste tire rubber under axial compression loading. CFSTs had steel fibers with 0, 1, and 1.5% volume fractions and 0, 5, and 10% rubber particles as sand alternative material. They were subjected to 20, 250, 500, and 750℃ temperatures. Using flow rule and analytical analysis, a model is developed to predict the load bearing capacity of steel tube, and hoop strain-axial strain relationship, and axial stress-volumetric strain relationship of CFSTs. An elastic-plastic analysis method is applied to determine the axial and hoop stresses of the steel tube, considering elastic, yield, and strain hardening stages of steel in its stress-strain curve. The axial stress in the concrete core is determined as the difference between the total experimental axial stress and the axial stress of steel tube obtained from modeling. The results show that steel tube in CFSTs under 750℃ exhibits a higher load bearing contribution compared to those under 20, 250, and 500℃. It is also found that the ratio of load bearing capacity of steel tube at peak point to the load bearing capacity of CFST at peak load is noticeable such that this ratio is in the ranges of 0.21-0.33 and 0.31-0.38 for the CFST specimens with a steel tube thickness of 2 and 3.5 mm, respectively. In addition, after the steel tube yielding, the load bearing capacity of the tube decreases due to the reduction of its axial stiffness and the increase of hoop strain rate, which is in the range of about 20 to 40%.

It is important for identification of noise and vibration problem of tire to consider influence of interaction between road and tire. A quantification of road noise is a challenging issue in vehicle NVH due to extremely complicated transfer paths of road noise as well as the difficulty in an experimental identification of input force from tire-road interaction. A noise caused by tire is divided into road noise(structure-borne noise) and pattern noise(air-borne noise). Pattern noise is caused by pattern shape of tire, which has larger than 500 Hz, but road noise is generated by the interactions between a tire and a vehicle body. In this paper, we define the quantitative analysis for road noise caused by interactions between tire and road parameters. For the identification of road noise, the chassis dynamometer that is equipped $10mm{\times}10mm $ square cleat in the semi-anechoic chamber is used, and the tire spindle forces are measured by load cell. The vibro-acoustic transfer function between ear position and wheel center was measured by the vibro-acoustic reciprocity method. In this study three tires with different type of mechanical are used for the experiment work.
In this study, the load test of rubber tire bogie for monorail type LRT. Bogie for rolling stock in safety operation of the vehicle as an essential core unit before applying to the vehicle safety and reliability should be tested sufficiently. Rubber tire monorail type bogie compared to the traditional bogie wheel lots of formats, the complexity of the load acting static load test, the bogie of the vehicle operation conditions by structural analysis by considering the loading conditions was evaluated by calculating. Test methods and evaluation criteria based on urban rail vehicle performance testing by applying the test were welded parts and materials for the results leading to material fatigue endurance test by applying the result of evaluating the structure has been identified as safe.
Tire subjected to inflation pressure and the load of passenger car has a important roll to dynamic performance characteristics of radial tires such as cornering and braking. These performance characteristics are directly related to the belt cord durability of tires. In this paper, we analyze the mechanism of belt cord broken due to cord tension at braking theoretically.

Traditionally, tire made a role of function, which is supporting vehicle load, making brake, transferring, traction etc. So, there are a lot of studying for the tire. especially, tire noise is one of the most important parameter in the car noise. this thesis shows the method how to reduce the tire noise by using the optimal pitch sequence. Because the optimal pitch sequence prevents tire from generating the pure tone while driving the car on the ground.
The present study describes the experimental method to measure the strain of tire. In this study. the strain distributions of tire with air pressure and vertical load were measured at the bead filler edge region and on the carcass cord using strain gauges and the results were compared with indoor bead durability test results. The strain amplitude of carcass cord near the rim check line of tire is one of the main factors that affects bead durability characteristic.

The spin-up and the spring-back are most severe load cases in the aircraft landing gear design. These load cases are caused by reciprocal action of complex physical phenomenon such as the friction between a tire and ground, inertia of the rotation of a tire and the flexibility of a landing gear structure. Generally, the empirical formula or the theoretical formula is used to calculate the spin-up and spring-back load in the early stage of the development program of the aircraft landing gear. After the materialization of the design of a landing gear, spin-up and spring-back load are acquired by the free drop test. In this study, the spin-up and the spring-back load of the rubber shock absorber type KC-100 nose landing gear are calculated by the explicit finite element analysis. Through this analysis, more accurate and realistic spin-up and spring back loads could be applied to the early phase of the development of the aircraft landing gear.
Unlike existing pneumatic tire, NPT(Non-Pneumatic Tire) is a tire replacing air pressure with spokes. NPT has no problem of punk which pneumatic tire has and doesn't need to maintain air pressure. Also it can be used in space where temperature change sharply. In this regard, NPT are attracting attention as next-generation wheels. For optimizing Honeycomb structure, we applied the load to various Honeycomb structure which forms NPT, performed FEM(finite element analysis) using Edison and compared each results.
This research focused on analyzing the post-fire behavior of high-performance concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) columns, with the concrete containing tire rubber and steel fibers, under axial compressive loading. The finite element (FE) modeling of such heated columns containing recycled aggregate is a branch of this field which has not received the proper attention of researchers. Better understanding the post-fire behavior of these columns by measuring their residual strength and deformation is critical for achieving the minimum repair level required for structures damaged in the fire. Therefore, to develop this model, 19 groups of confined and unconfined specimens with the variables including the volume ratio of steel fibers, tire rubber content, diameter-to-thickness (D/t) ratio of the steel tube, and exposure temperature were considered. The ABAQUS software was employed to model the tested specimens so that the accurate behavior of the FE-modeled specimens could be examined under test conditions. To achieve desirable results for the modeling of the specimens, in addition to the novel procedure described in this research, the modified versions of models presented by previous researchers were also utilized. After the completion of modeling, the load-axial strain and load-lateral strain relationships, ultimate strength, and failure mode of the modeled CFST specimens were evaluated against the test data, through which the satisfactory accuracy of this modeling procedure was established. Afterward, using a parametric study, the effect of factors such as the concrete core strength at different temperatures and the D/t ratio on the behavior of the CFST columns was explored. Finally, the compressive strength values obtained from the FE model were compared with the corresponding values predicted by various codes, the results of which indicated that most codes were conservative in terms of these predictions.
Theoretical and experimental study is conducted on the contact pressure distribution of a radial tire in motion under various camber angles. Tire construction is modelled by a spring bedded elastic ring, consisted of sidewall springs and a composite belt ring. The contact area is assumed to be a trapezoidal shape varying with camber angles and weighted load. The basic equation in a quasi-static form is derived for the deformation of a running belt with a constant velocity by the aid of Lagrange-Euler transformation. Galerkin's method and stepwise calculation are applied for solving the basic equation and the mechanical boundary condition along both sides of the contact belt part subjected to shearing forces transmitted from the sidewall spring. Experimental results on the contact pressure, measured by pressure sensors embedded in the surface of the drum tester, correspond well with the calculated ones for the test tire under various camber angles, running velocities and weighted loads. These results indicate that a buckling phenomenon of the contact belt in the widthwise direction occurs due to the effect of camber angle.
