Purpose - Online product review has become a crucial part of the online retailer's market performance for a wide range of products. This research aims to investigate how an individual reviewer's review frequency and timing affect her/his average attitude toward products. Research design, data, and methodology - To conduct reviewer-level analysis, this study uses 42,172 posted online review messages generated by 6,941 identified reviewers for 59 movies released in the South Korea from July 2015 to December 2015. This study adopts Tobit model specification to take into account the censored nature and the selection bias arising from the nature of J-shaped distribution of movie rating. Results - Our estimation results support that the negative impact of review frequency and timing on valence. Furthermore, review timing has an inverted-U relationship with the user's average valence and enhance the negative effect of review frequency. Conclusions - This study contributes to the growing literature on the understanding how eWOM is generated at the individual consumer level. On the basis of the main empirical findings, this study provides insights into building a recommendation system in online retail store based on the consumer's review history data - frequency, timing, and valence.

In this paper, we proposed and implemented a quality measurement algorithm for IS-95 reverse-link signal. To measure the quality of the received signal, equalization, carrier frequency/phase offset estimation, and timing synchronization are essential. And, all signal processing are carried out with baseband signal. The equalizer works with 4-oversampled samples to remove ICI(InterChip Interference). The frequency/phase offset estimator is followed by timing synchronizer since it can work without aid of data and timing information. As the number of interpolation in timing synchronization increases, the measurement accuracy improves, but computation load increases simultaneously. Therefore, one need to choose adequately the number of interpolation regarding to the platform performance to be used for the proposed algorithm.

In the paper, we propose a new method for power optimization that uses path balancing based on stochastic estimation of glitch in Statistical Static Timing Analysis (SSTA). The proposed method estimates the probability of glitch occurrence using tightness probability of each node in timing graph. In addition, we propose efficient gate sizing technique for glitch reduction using accurate calculation of sizing effect in delay considering probability of glitch occurrence. The efficiency of proposed method has been verified on ISCAS85 benchmark circuits with $0.16{\mu}m$ model parameters. Experimental results show up to 8.6% of accuracy improvement in glitch estimation and 9.5% of optimization improvement.

The present paper proposes a method that can estimate a roll rate of spinning vehicles utilizing GPS receivers. The proposed method analyzes a relation between received signal and correlation value and utilizes a phenomenon that received signal power that changes according to a signal incident direction affects a correlation value. That is, a roll-rate estimation method using zero crossing detection method for correlation value, which has sinusoidal periodicity according to rotations of vehicles, is proposed. A correlation value in real environments experiences a jitter so that the proposed method includes a pre-processing filter and detection threshold setting way is also considered to reduce the effect of received signal power. In order to verify the operation of the proposed method and analyze the performance, a signal generator and software-defined receiver (SDR) are designed. The signal generator generates intermediate frequency (IF) signal by taking the rotation of vehicles, antenna gain, and signal power into consideration, and a correlation value is acquired by taking the generated IF signals into consideration. Using the generated correlation value, the operation of the proposed roll rate estimation method is verified and the performance is analyzed.
In this paper, Method for the phase distortion compensation timing offset and DC eliminator for the pilot component estimation and removal, transmitted and received signal correlation in the delay scheme DAB interference cancellation based on the same channel for using for estimating the feedback signal based on a between for removal for the timing offset compensation It proposes a repeater. This was applied to the ATSC system. The on-channel repeater of the proposed interference cancellation based on the interference removing capability is improved in interference signal is 20dB greater than the primary transmission signal environment via the return channel estimation and improve performance RFP. Accordingly, it was confirmed by simulation that good signal is sent out with the improvement of the ability of the repeater.
Range-based wireless localization system must measure accurate range between a mobile node (MN) and reference nodes. However, non-line-of-sight (NLOS) error caused by the spatial structures disturbs the localization system obtaining the accurate range measurements. Localization methods using the range measurements including NLOS error yield large localization error. But filter-based localization methods can provide comparatively accurate location solution. Motivated by the accuracy of the filter-based localization method, a filter residual-based NLOS error estimation method is presented in this paper. Range measurement-based residual contains NLOS error. By considering this factor with NLOS error properties, NLOS error is mitigated. Also a process noise covariance matrix tuning method is presented to reduce the time-delay estimation error caused by the single dynamic model-based filter when the speed or moving direction of a MN changes, that is the used dynamic model is not fit the current dynamic of a MN. The presented methods are evaluated by simulation allowing direct comparison between different localization methods. The simulation results show that the presented filter is more accurate than the iterative least squares- and extended Kalman filter-based localization methods.

In this paper, we propose a performance index that can compare the position estimation performance according to the time slot allocation order, which is superior in the position estimation performance in the operation of the Link-16 based relative navigation system. In order to verify the validity of the performance index, a software-based Link-16 relative navigation system performance analysis platform composed of a signal generator, a signal reception and navigation algorithm execution unit, and a performance analysis unit was designed. Using the designed software platform, we analyzed the relationship between proposed performance index and position estimation performance according to time slot allocation order in the same position reference (PR) arrangement. The performance index of the proposed time slot allocation is expected to be utilized not only for the Link-16 system, but also for the Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA)-based navigation system.

In OFDMA system, multiple users transmit signal through the subcarriers assigned to the user. Capabilities of high data-rate transmission in OFDMA system come from the ability to compensate the ICI (Inter Carrier Interference) using a single-tap equalizer and to implement transmitter and receiver by employing high speed FFT circuitry. Issues of time and frequency synchronization in OFDM system is quite essential to preserve the orthogonality among subcarriers not to produce ICI. In this paper, we Int analyze the preamble used in 802.16 d/e and WiBro system. Then we propose an effective timing synchronization algorithm, which is more accurate than the conventional one in the sense of timing position, and integral frequency offset estimation scheme for the simultaneouse estimation of the fractional and integral frequency offset. Through the simulation utilizing the proposed synchronization algorithm and structure, we show that the performance degradation due to the adjacent channel interference can be mitigated for the than conventional ones.
The delay times due to the propagating of data on PCB depend on the shape and length of interconnection lines when memory controllers and high speed memories are soldered on the PCB. The dependency on the placement and routing on the PCB requires redesign of I/O logic or reconfiguration of the memory controller after the delay time is measured if the controller is programmable. In this paper, we propose architecture of configuring logic for the delay time estimation by writing and reading test patterns while initializing the memories. The configuration logic writes test patterns to the memory and reads them by changing timing until the correct patterns are read. The timing information is stored and the configuration logic configures the memory controller at the end of initialization. The proposed method enables easy design of systems using PCB by solving the problem of the mismatching caused by the variation of placement and routing of components including memories and memory controllers. The proposed method can be applied to high speed SRAM, DRAM, and flash memory.

In this paper, the hop-timing estimator, which NED and ELF are adopted to, has been proposed. The estimation performance of the proposed scheme and the conventional scheme is compared through computer simulations. The simulation results show that the new system has less hop-timing error than the conventional system in partial band noise jamming channel. The lover Eb/Nj and ratio of jamming bandwidth(rho) we, the bigger performance enhancement of the proposed system is.
