  • Recently, personal business styles have been rapidly changed into e-business due to the rapid progress and deployment of Internet. As a result of the change, new and safe ways of payment such as electronic wallet, electronic money and electronic check have been developed and introduced. In this paper a secure and user-friendly payment method is addressed. One of most important reasons why newly developed safe payment methods are not widely used in e-business is lack of convenience for the users. On the other hand credit card based payment, which is traditional one, is the most prevailing due to the user-friendliness. However this payment also has some problem in sense of security. In this paper, we design and implement a secure credit card-based payment system using one-time credit information. The main features are "payment information must be new", "can use the old credit system", and "do not require client software".

  • To overcome limitations of test scope, schedule and cost, M&S(Modeling & Simulation) technique has been applied for T&E(Test and Evaluation) of the state-of-art weapon systems. This paper proposes an air defense simulation software framework to reduce both redundancy an[1 programming errors in system simulator. The proposed framework consists of a 'model' and a 'middleware' The 'middleware' is a reliable communication service layer that supports not only HLA(High Level Architecture) which is an international standard in M&S but also TCP/IP, UDP and etc. The main role of 'model' is to schedule and to run the real-time distributed simulation. The proposed framework has been applied to M-SAM(Middle range Surface to Air Missile) system simulator. The proposed framework's scheduling and communication performance results are satisfactory and were measured by hardwired NTP(Network Timer Protocol) time-stamp with GPS(Global Positioning System) timer for better precision.

  • This paper examines attaching speed, detaching speed and contact time which affected in the ink transfer ratio and presents the best conditions for fabrication process of electrodes with Ag-ink using microcontact printing method. In conclusion, it shows the best printing characteristic by two conditions. One of condition is the attaching speed have to within less than 1mm/s and the detaching speed is high velocity as 1000mm/s and the contact time is taken about the minimum time when inking process. Another condition is the attaching speed have to within more than 100mm/s and the detaching speed have to within less than 1mm/s and the contact time is longer than 30second when the printing process. As using these condition and the stamp sized 5cm${\times}$5cm, it was possible for printing equally until $30{\mu}m$ of width. The printed thickness of a electrode was about 300 to 500 nm, the surface roughness was about dozens nm under 50 nm.

  • In general, two way satellite communication systems based on TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) require network clock synchronization between hub station and remote terminals. This paper describes basic concepts for network clock synchronization based on NCR(Network Clock Reference) clock recovery scheme as suggested in DVB-S2/ RCS2 international standards. in addition, a new NCR insertion method has been proposed and evaluated in terms of supporting CCM mode as well as ACM mode which optimizes throughput by changing code rates and modulation types ranging from QPSK to 32-APSK.

  • In this paper we implement a 6LoWPAN protocol on the MICAz sensor platform, which could minimize packet re-transmission, and support security primitives for packet integrity and confidentiality. And we also present a performance evaluation of the implemented protocol calculated according to the cryptographic algorithms. In the re-transmission method, time stamp, nonce, and checksum are considered to protect replay attacks. As cryptographic algorithms, AES, 3DES, SHA2, and SHA1 are implemented. If transmission errors (thus, packet losses) and the number of hops are increase then, packet re-transmissions are increase exponentially from the experimental results. Also, the result shows that cryptographic operations take more time than packet re-transmission time.

  • A new DTPP (Desk-Top Program Production) system has been developed that enables multiple program producers (directors) working at different locations to collaborate over a computer network and prepare a single program for broadcasting. In this system, information is shared among users by exchanging data edited on non-linear editing terminals in program post-production work over a network in real time. In short, the new DTPP system provides a collaborative work space for producing TV programs. The system does not make use of a special server for collaborative work but rather multiple interconnected editing terminals having the same functions. In this configuration, data at a terminal which has just been edited by some operation is forwarded to all other connected terminals for updating. This form of information sharing, however, requires that some sort of data synchronizing method be established since multiple terminals are operating on the same data simultaneously. We therefore adopt a method whereby the system synchronizes the clocks on each terminal at the time of connection and sends an operation time stamp together with edited data. This enables most recently modified data to be identified and all information on all terminals to be updated appropriately. This paper provides an overview of this new collaborative DTPP system and describes the techniques for exchanging edited data and synchronizing data.

  • A protein array was fabricated for a miniaturized immunoassay using microcontact printing ($\mu$CP). A polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) stamp with a 5 $\mu$m$\times$5 /$\mu$m dimension was molded from a silicon master developed by photolithography. Under optimal fabrication conditions, including the baking, incubation, and exposure time, a silicon master was successfully fabricated with a definite aspect ratio. An antibody fragment was utilized as the ink for the $\mu$CP, and transferred to an Au substrate because of the Au-thiol (-SH) interaction. The immobilization and antibody-antigen interaction were investigated with fluorescence microscopy. When human serum albumin (HSA) was applied to the protein array fabricated with an antibody against HSA, the detection limit was 100 pg/ml of HSA when using a secondary antibody labeled with a fluorescence tag. The fabricated protein array maintained its activity for 14 days.
