  • The purpose of this study is designing intelligent supplier management system with selected criteria for monitoring and evaluating suppliers by the information As suppliers keep changing their performance continuously according to the environment and with the passage or time. Companies need to monitor suppliers' condition continuously and choose the suitable action. This study considers a framework or supply chain management system usuig neural networks for ongoing partnership with criteria of supplier performance. The intelligent supplier management system that this study suggests ran offer the supplier evaluation criteria for monitoring and more efficient supply chain management ran be expected for cost reduction or supply chain management with this system.

Transient stochastic analysis of nonlinear response of earth and rock-fill dams to spatially varying ground motion

  • The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of transient stochastic analysis on nonlinear response of earth and rock-fill dams to spatially varying ground motion. The dam models are analyzed by a stochastic finite element method based on the equivalent linear method which considers the nonlinear variation of soil shear moduli and damping ratio as a function of shear strain. The spatial variability of ground motion is taken into account with the incoherence, wave-passage and site response effects. Stationary as well as transient stochastic response analyses are performed for the considered dam types. A time dependent frequency response function is used throughout the study for transient stochastic responses. It is observed that stationarity is a reasonable assumption for earth and rock-fill dams to typical durations of strong shaking.

  • 식도 및 기도이물은 순간적인 부주의로 우리 생활주변에서 흔히 볼 수 있으며 대부분의 경우를 제거하게 된다. 그러나 보호자의 무지, 환자가 연소자인 경우, 그리고 치료자의 적극적인 진단이 결여된 경우에 이물의 존재를 파악하지 못한채 장기간 체내에 체류하게 되며 그 결과로 생긴 합병증을 주소로 타과에서 치료를 받던 중 뒤늦게 이물을 발견하고 이비인후과로 전원되는 경우가 간혹 있다. 저자들은 체내에 장기간 체류한 식도이물 1 례와 기관지이물 1 례를 각각 경험하였기에 그 문헌적 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Novelistic Mimesis; or, Modalities of Cultural Modernity

  • This essay is an attempt to give a theoretical articulation of novelistic mimesis as the narrative form of modernity. With the passage to modernity, what assumes the locus of the symbolic authority is no longer God, Father, or tradition, but the cultural gaze or the ego-ideal. At the same time, this gaze paradoxically coalesces with the "spectacle of the world," on the side of the reified "other": the gaze is both the desexualized ego-ideal and its instantaneous transmogrification and resexualization in the opaque world of objects. The imaginary ego or the eye on the side of the subject of representation is held at abeyance in a state of perpetual fascination and desperation in relation to the gaze as the world of "others," which lies always at one remove from the purview of the imaginary ego. This understanding of the inadequation of the ego to the cultural gaze of the reified world provides a critical fulcrum upon which I base my theory of the modern narrative mimesis as the "perverse" field of spatial arrangement, in which the split of the subjectivity into the imaginary ego and the ego-ideal is suspended over the phantasmatic world of bodies and territories.

Dynamic Analysis of Effect of Number of Balls on Rotor-Bearing System

  • This paper presents a numerical model for investigating the structural dynamic response of an unbalanced rotor system supported on deep groove ball bearings. The aim of this work is to develop a numerical model for investigating the effect of the number of balls on the dynamic characteristics of the rotor ball bearing system. The fourth-order Runge-Kutta numerical integration technique has been applied. The results are presented in the form of time displacement responses and frequency spectra. The analysis demonstrates that the model can be used as a tool for predicting the nonlinear dynamic behavior of the rotor ball bearing system under different operating conditions. Moreover, the study may contribute to a further understanding of the nonlinear dynamics of rotor bearing systems.

  • We performed the numerical study on the characteristics of the 3-D airflow and dynamic cross contamination in the photolithography process cleanroom. The nonunifurmity, the deflection angle and the global cross contamination were used for analyzing the characteristics and performances of cleanroom. From the numerical results, we knew that the airflow characteristics of the cleanrooms are largely affected by the porosity of panel and the adjustment of dampers and the global cross contamination varies with the location of source and the passage of time through the concentration ratio.

  • It is intended to develop an algorithm for dynamic simulation of a fast-acting solenoid valve. The coupled equations of electric, magnetic, and mechanical systems should be solved simultaneously in a transient nonlinear manner. The transient nonlinear electromagnetic field is analyzed by the Finite Element Method (FEM), which is coupled with nonlinear electronic circuitry. The dynamic movement of the solenoid valve is analyzed at every time step from the force balance acting on the plunger, which includes the electromagnetic force calculated from the Finite Element analysis as well as the elastic force by a spring and the hydrodynamic pressure force along the flow passage. Dynamic responses of the solenoid valves predicted by this algorithm agree well with the experimental results including bouncing effects.

  • 본 연구에서는 시맨틱 웹 기술을 이용해 뉴스의 동향을 분석하는 서비스를 제안한다. 뉴스 동향 분석 서비스는 뉴스들 간의 시간흐름 또는 관계들을 분석해 줄 수 있기 때문에 현재의 일반적인 뉴스검색 엔진보다 지능적인 검색 결과를 보여줄 수 있다. 이러한 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 시간 정보에 대한 추론 기능이 필요하지만 OWL과 같은 시맨틱 웹 언어는 이를 지원하지 못하기 때문에 시간 기반 추론을 지원하기 위해 본 연구에서는 OWL을 확장한 TL-OWL(Temporal Web Ontology Language)을 제안한다.

The nonuniformity, the deflection angle and the global cross contamination were used for analyzing the characteristics and performances of cleanroom. We knew that the airflow characteristics of the cleanrooms are largely affected by the porosity of panel and the adjustment of dampers. And the numerical result showed that the global cross contamination varies with the location of source and the passage of time.
