Morphological evolution of amorphous carbon film is investigated by molecular dynamics simulation. Here, energetic carbon atoms (75 eV) are deposited on the diamond (001) substrate to find effect of incidence angles. At normal and near-normal incidences ($0^{\circ}{\sim}30^{\circ}$) atomically smooth surfaces are observed during their growth. However, rough surfaces emerge and develop into a ripple structure at grazing incidences ($60^{\circ}{\sim}70^{\circ}$). The different growth modes according to the incidence angles can be described by impact-induced displacements of atoms. Downhill transport along any sloped surfaces is predominant for the case of normal incidence. As the incidence angles become grazing, uphill transport is allowed along the surfaces, which have smaller slopes than incidence angle, so the surface features can be amplified. Impact-induced transport and self-shadowing effect can be responsible to the initial growth of seeding structures at a grazing incidence, which would be grown up as tilted columnar structures in further depositions.
The crystal structure of diflunisal, 2',4'-difluoro-4-hydroxy-3-biphenyl-carboxylic acid, was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction technique. The compound was recrystallized from a mixture of acetone and water in monoclinic, space group C2/c, with $a\;=\;34.666(6),\;b\;=\;3.743(1),\;c\;=\;20.737(4)\;{\AA},\;{\beta}=\;110.57(2)^{\circ}$, and Z = 8. The calculated density is $1.324\;g/cm^3$. The structure was solved by the direct method and refined by full matrix least-squares procedure to the final R value of 0.045 for 1299 observed reflections. It was found that the molecules in the crystal are partially disordered, that is, the two equivalent conformers $(180^{\circ}$ rotated ones through C(1)-C(7)) are packed alternatively without regular symmetry or sequence. The two phenyl rings of the biphenyl group is tilted to each other by the dihedral angle of $43.3^{\circ}$. The carboxyl group at the salicylic moiety is just coplanar to the phenyl ring, and the planarity of this salicylic moiety is stabilized by an intramolecular hydrogen bond of O(3)-H(O3) O(2). The molecules are dimerized through the intermolecular hydrogen bonds at the carboxyl group in the crystal.
NTMS(Non-contact Tilted-angle Measuring System) is developed by using the principle that the magnetic field of an anisotropic magnet's inner space is uniform and it's possible to measure the strength of the magnetic field using a linear hall effect sensor. In order to implement the caliper system of the geometry PIG(Pipeline Inspection Gauge) which has high accuracy and proper output voltage of the hall sensor without additional driving module or a signal amplifier, it is necessary to consider the size of the magnet, the inner space and back-yoke and the position of pin-hole in the magnet. So the optimal design method of the caliper system is proposed through analysis of NTMS's magnetic field adopting a FEM(Finite Element Method). The experimental results show that the developed caliper system can be used for the geometry pig with good performances.
We present a three-mirror anastigmat(TMA) optical system for New Generation GOCI. In order to reduce the ghost optimized filter and baffle. By using carefully chosen antireflective coating and tilted filter angle, we fulfilled the design SNR requirement of 1500. We then designed a new entrance baffle and an internal baffle capable of producing the ghost ratio better than 0.01% of the nominal signal. The entrance baffle limits FOV to $0.75^{\circ}$ (E/W) $\times$$0.60^{\circ}$ (S/N), and prevents the system from strong sun illumination, and the internal baffle prevents stray and scattered ray from entering into the telescope cavity. From these filter and baffle design, we confirmed that the instrument signal to noise ratio can be met with the current conceptual opto-mechanical design.
The computational post-buckling strength of the tilted sandwich composite shell structure is evaluated in this article. The computational responses are obtained using a mathematical model derived using the higher-order type of polynomial kinematic in association with the through-thickness stretching effect. Also, the sandwich deformation behaviour of the flexible soft-core sandwich structural model is expressed mathematically with the help of a generic nonlinear strain theory i.e. Green-Lagrange type strain-displacement relations. Subsequently, the model includes all of the nonlinear strain terms to account the actual deformation and discretized via displacement type of finite element. Further, the computer code is prepared (MATLAB environment) using the derived higher-order formulation in association with the direct iterative technique for the computation of temperature carrying capacity of the soft-core sandwich within the post-buckled regime. Further, the nonlinear finite element model has been tested to show its accuracy by solving a few numerical experimentations as same as the published example including the consistency behaviour. Lastly, the derived model is utilized to find the temperature load-carrying capacity under the influences of variable factors affecting the soft-core type sandwich structural design in the small (finite) strain and large deformation regime including the effect of tilt angle.

In this paper, it covers technical aspect of drone by introducing the drone hovering. Arduino Uno and 3-axis attitude and azimuth sensor are the two main components of the drone. Arduino Uno is used as a main controller and 3-axis attitude and azimuth sensor are used to collect axial (X,Y,Z) data, which is massaged to determine the pitch (fore and aft tilt) and the bank (side to side tilt). Furthermore, drone stabilizes horizontal attitude by correcting these tilted angle through PID control.
The use of barley seeder attached to rotary tiller in the rural area has a significant meaning not only for the solution of labor peak season, but also for the increase of land utilization efficiency. The facts that presently being used barley seeders are all based on the mechanical principles of the reverse rotation, center drive and are all using forward rotating tine, which is used to be easily and heavily worn out when it rotates reversely, raise problem of recommending them to rural area in Korea. Therefore, the main objective of the study was to develop new type of rotary tine attachable to barley seeders. To attain the objective the following approaches were applied. (1) The kinematic analysis of reverse rotating barley seeders. (2) The studies on the soil bin and artificial soil. (3) The comparative experiment on the power requirement of prototype tine. The results obtained from the studies are summarized as follow: 1. The kinematic analysis of barley seeder attached to rotary tiller: The following results were obtained from the kinematic analysis for deriving general formulae of the motion and velocity characterizing the rotary tine of barley seeders presently being used by farmers. a) The position vector (P) of edge point (P) in the rotary tine of reverse rotating, center drive was obtained by the following formula. $$P=(vt+Rcos wt)i+Rsin wt j+ \{ Rcos \theta r sin \alpha cos (wt- \beta +\theta r) +Rsin \theta r sin \alpha sin (wt-\beta + \theta r) \} lk $$ b) The velocity of edge point $(P^')$ of reverse rotating, center drive rotary tine was obtained by the following formula. $$(P^')=(V-wR sin wt)i+(w\cdot Rcoswt)j + \{ -w\cdot Rcos \theta r\cdot sin \alpha \cdot sin (wt-\beta +\theta r) + w\cdot Rsin \theta r\cdot sin \alpha \cdot cos (wt- \beta + \theta r \} k $$ c) In order to reduce the power requirement of rotary tine, the angle between holder and edge point was desired to be reduced. d) In order to reduce the power requirement, the edge point of rotary tine should be moved from the angle at the begining of cutting to center line of machine, and the additional cutting width should be also reduced. 2. The studies on the soil bin and artificial soil: In order to measure the power requirement of various cutting tines under the same physical condition of soil, the indoor experiments Viere conducted by filling soil bin with artificially made soil similar to the common paddy soil and the results were as follows: a) When the rolling frequencies$(x)$ of the artificial soil were increased, the densIty$(Y)$ was also increased as follows: $$y=1.073200 +0.070780x - 0.002263x^2 (g/cm^3)$$ b) The absolute hardness $(Y)$ of soil had following relationship with the rolling frequencies$(x)$ and were increased as the rolling frequencies were increased. $$Y=37.74 - \frac {0.64 + 0.17x-0. 0054x^2} {(3.36-0.17x + 0.0054x^2)^3} (kg/cm^3)$$ c) The density of soil had significant effect on the cohesion and angle of internal friction of soil. For instance, the soil with density of 1.6 to 1.75 had equivalent density of sandy loam soil with 29.5% of natural soil moisture content. d) The coefficient of kinetiic friction of iron plate on artificial soil was 0.31 to 0.41 and was comparable with that of the natural soil. e) When the pulling speed of soil bin was the 2nd forward speed of power tiller, the rpm of driving shaft of rotary was similar to that of power tiller, soil bin apparatus is indicating the good indoor tester. 3. The comparative experiment on the power requirement of prototype tine of reverse rotating rotary: According to the preliminary test of rotary tine developed with various degrees of angle between holder and edge pcint due to the kinematic analysis, comparative test between prototype rotary tine with $30 ^\circ $ and $10 ^\circ$ of it and presently being used rotary tine was carried out 2nd the results were as follows: a) The total cutting torque was low when the angle between holder and edge point was reduced. b) $\theta r$ (angle between holder and edge point) of rotary tine seemed to be one: of the factors maximizing the increase of torque. c) As the angle between holder and edge point ($\theta r$) of rotary tine was $30 ^\circ $ rather than $45 ^\circ $, the angle of rotation during cutting soil was reduced and the total cutting torque was accordingly reduced about 10%, and the reduction efficiency of total cutting torque was low when the angle between holder and edge point ($\theta r$) of rotary tine was $10 ^\circ $, which indicates that the proper angle between holder and edge point of rotary tine should be larger than $10 ^\circ $ and smaller than $30 ^\circ $ . From above results, it could be concluded that the use of the prototype rotary tine which reduced the angle between holder and edge point to $30 ^\circ $, insted of $45 ^\circ $, is disirable not only decreasing the power requirements, but also increasing the durabie hour of it. Also forward researches are needed, WIlich determine the optimum tilted angle of rotary brocket, and rearrangement of the rotary tine on the rotary boss.
Moving assistant devices for people who are difficult to move are becoming electric-powered and automated. These moving assistant devices are not suitable for moving stairs at which the height between floor surfaces is different because these devices are designed and manufactured for flatland moving. An electric-powered and automated moving assistant device should change direction or stop when it approaches stairs in a movement direction. If the user or automatic control system does not change direction or stop in time, a moving assistant device can roll over or collide with stairs. In this paper, we propose a stairs detection method by using oblique distance measured by one sensor tilted to flatland. The method proposed in this paper can detect upward or downward stairs by using a difference between a predicted and measured oblique distance in considering a tilted angle of a sensor for measuring an oblique distance and installation height of the sensor on a moving object. Before the device enters a stairs region, if our proposed method provides information about detected stairs to a device's controller, the controller can do adequate action to avoid the accident.
Solar energy is a potential source of power that offers much promise being used for low-temperature applications like drying farm crops, space heating, and water heating for domestic uses. Already much of it are being used for those purpose in foreign countries. However, very little research has been done to determine the possibility of using the solar energy in Korea. This study was conducted to develop the general prediction equation of the total radiation on a horizontal surface in Daejeon area based on 5 years 91972, Jun.1-1976. Dec.31) meteorological data (bright sunshine hours, average total horizontal radiation), and to obtain experimentally the thermal efficiency of solar air and water collectors, which will be used as a basic data of designing flat-plate solar collector system.In addition to the thermal efficiency of the collectorsthe relationship among those factors affecting it such as weather condition, orientation factor, and tilted angle of collector was analyzed. The results of this study were as follows. 1. The general predicted equation of the total radiation on a horizontal surface in Daejeon area based on bright sunshine hours was developed as $H_{av} =(1.546\frac{n}{N}-0.582)H_o$. Predicting the total radiation on a horizontal surface by the above equation was thought to be possible because to values of 0.882 was smaller than any t values at above 0.05 level on the basis of two tailed test of the difference between the calculated and the recorded values. 2.It was observed that optimum tilt angle of the collector in the summer and the autumn drying season was 13 degrees and 51 degrees respectively, these values could be obtained by adding or substracting approximately 25 degrees from the latitude of this area $(36.3^{\circ}N)$ .The relationship between orientation factor and declination of sun at suitable tilt angle of 33 degrees $(s=0.9\O)$ was shown at Fig.4. 3.The thermal efficiency of solar wdter collector was shown 13.4-51. 6% on Aug. 15 (the minimum radiation recorded) and 43.8 ~537% Aug.20 (the maximum radiation recorded), and 13.8~ 46.6 and 44.3~ 49.7 were shown on each corresponding day. 4.The thermal efficiency of the collectors according to the weather condition was shown a big difference of about 10% between the day of the maximum radiation recorded and the minimum, but the differen of efficiency between the air and the water collector was at most 2 ~ 3%. 5. Even if the efficiency of the solar water collector was a little higher than the solar air collector, for drying farm products, the solar air collector was thought to be more effective because the air heated by collector could be directly used for drying them.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of ankle joint taping treatment on lower extremity joint and center of pressure(COP) factors during the Uchi-mata. Twenty college judo athletes (age, 20.9 ± 0.8 years; height, 168.6 ± 7.4cm; weight, 73.5 ± 11.6kg; body mass index, 25.7 ± 2.6kg/㎡) participated, and two types before and after ankle joint taping treatment when the during the Uchi-mata was exhibited under conditions, the angle and COP factors of the support leg joints were analyzed to show the following results. At the time of E2 (t = 2.411, p = .027) E4 (t = 2.388, p = .029), the ankle joint angle was statistically less after the treatment than before the taping treatment, and E2 (t = -2.343, p = .032) At E3 (t = -4.531, p = .000), the angle of the hip joint was statistically large. And after the ankle joint taping treatment, the medial/lateral COP movement after the ankle joint taping treatment was statistically large in the P3 phase of throwing the opponent (t = 2.670, p = .016), and the anterior/posterior COP movement showed a statistically small number in the P1 phase where the opponent was tilted (t = 2.846, p = .011). Therefore, it was suggested that judo athletes who use thighs as a special technique should be used considering the movement function of the support joint and the range of movement of the COP caused by tapping of the ankle joint.
