The conventional model did not take momentum conservation into consideration when the electron absorbs and emits the photons. II-ray provides momentum conservations on any directions of the entering photons, and also the electrons have radial momentum conservations and fully elastic bouncing between two atoms, in the new atom model. Conventional atom model must be criticized on the following four points. (1) Natural motions between positive and negative entities are not circular motions but linear going and returning ones, for examples sexual motion, tidal motion, day and night etc. Because the radius of hydrogen atom's electron orbit is the order of 10$^{-11}$ m and the radia of the nucleons in the nucleus are the order of 10$^{-14}$ m and then the converging $\pi$-gamma rays to the nucleus have so great circular momentum, the electron can not have a circular motion. We can say without doubt that any elementary mass particle can have only linear motion, because of the $\pi$-rays'hindrances, nearthenucleus. (2) Potential energy generation was neglected when electron changes its orbit from outer one to inner one. The h v is the kinetic energy of the photo-electron. The total energy difference between orbits comprises kinetic and potential energies. (3) The structure of the space must be taken into consideration because the properties of the electron do not change during the transition from outer orbit to inner one even though it produces photon. (4) Total energy conservation law applies to the energy flow between mind and matter because we daily experiences a interconnection between mind and body. Conventional Concept of Electric Field must be extended in the case of the direct and alternating current. Conventional concept is based on coulomb's force while the electric potential in the direct and alternating current is from Gibb's free energy. And also conventional concept has not any consciousness with human being but the latters has a conscious sensibility. The cell emf is from the kinetic energy of the open $\pi$-rays flow through the conducting wire. The electric potential in alternating current is from that the trans-orbital moving of the induced change of magnetic field in the wire produces flows of open $\pi$-rays, which push the rotating electrons on the orbital and then make the current flow. Human consciousness can induce a resonance with the sensibility of the open $\pi$-rays in the electric measuring equipment. Specially treated acupunctures with Nasucon is for sending an acupunctural effect from one place to another via space by someone's will power.
A three-dimensional numerical model using POM (the Princeton Ocean Model) is established in order to understand the dispersion processes of the Yangtze River water in the Yellow and East China Seas. The circulation experiments for the seas are conducted first, and then on the bases of the results the dispersion experiments for the river water are executed. For the experiments, we focus on the tide effects and wind effects on the processes. Four cases of systematic experiments are conducted. They comprise the followings: a reference case with no tide and no wind, of tide only, of wind only, and of both tide and wind. Throughout this study, monthly mean values are used for the Kuroshio Current input in the southern boundary of the model domain, for the transport through the Korea Strait, for the river discharge, for the sea surface wind, and for the heat exchange rate across the air-sea interface. From the experiments, we obtained the following results. The circulation of the seas in winter is dependent on the very strong monsoon wind as several previous studies reported. The wintertime dispersion of the Yangtze River water follows the circulation pattern flowing southward along the east coast of China due to the strong monsoon wind. Some observed salinity distributions support these calculation results. In summertime, generally, low-salinity water from the river tends to spread southward and eastward as a result of energetic vertical mixing processes due to the strong tidal current, and to spread more eastward due to the southerly wind. The tide effect for the circulation and dispersion of the river water near the river mouth is a dominant factor, but the southerly wind is still also a considerable factor. Due to both effects, two major flow directions appear near the river mouth. One of them is a northern branch flow in the northeast area of the river mouth moving eastward mainly due to the weakened southerly wind. The other is a southern branch flow directed toward the southeastern area off the river mouth mostly caused by tide and wind effects. In this case, however, the tide effect is more dominant than the wind effect. The distribution of the low salinity water follows the circulation pattern fairly well.

CTD castings and current observations are taken in June, July and October, 1997 and May and July, 1998 to investigate the effect of the Keum River dyke on the structure of physical properties and the type of the Keum River estuary. Tide and tidal current relation shows that the ebbing is longer than the flooding by 1.5 hours with the early current reversing before high tide. In the rainy season (May to July), frequent large fresh water discharge during the ebbing from the dyke changes vertical salinity difference and time variation of salinity greatly near the head of the estuary, where salinity becomes lower than 2‰ in summer fresh water flooding. Halocline developed by the fresh water discharge makes two-layer structure, of which strength and depth increase in the low tide. The relationship between tide phase and surface salinity variation shows the phase lag of 2.5 hours near the head of the estuary but the standing wave relation down the estuary. This phase lag implies that a low salinity water diluted by the fresh water discharge for 2-3 hours in the ebb period moves with tidal excursion. In the dry season, vertical salinity difference reduces significantly. We calculate stratification and circulation parameters using the observed salinity structure, surface current and fresh water discharge. The Keum River estuary shows a partially mixed type, changing the stratification parameter from the rainy to the dry season. Mean flows of observed tidal current at lower and upper layer are landward and seaward, which are consistent with the circulation of a partially mixed estuary. Based upon the estuary type and circulation we suggest that the suspended materials will move toward the upstream due to low-layer mean flow and then the Keum River estuary will be a deposit environment.

This study established ecological goals and success criteria by using results of the coastal ecosystem restoration demand survey. The ecological goals are set for species diversity, regulation of seawater flow, improvement of purification, erosion prevention and habitat provision by ecosystem types. The indicators of success criteria are chosen the number of emergence species and community characteristics of target organism and pertinent items of hydrologic, water quality and sediment environment by ecological goals among the investigation items of tidal flat investigation guideline.

Mixing zone characteristics of the wastewater effluents discharged from Sokcho ocean outfall have been investigated using an outfall mixing zone model which was developed on the basis of Huang et al.'s(1996) analysis method. The model was applied to Sokcho ocean outfall case and was used to simulate the concentration distribution of wastewater effluents using winter season's data, ie. daily effluent flowrate, ocean current and density stratification data which were measure for two months in the outfall area. Hourly concentration distribution of outfall effluent discharges was calculated and they were averaged for the period of 15 days which covers the ambient flow variability of the neap and the spring tidal currents. The results show that near-field dilution was relatively high with the minimum dilution of 130 for the winter season. The mixing zone was extended to the coastal beach area rather than offshore because of major direction of coastal currents. This may cause a deteriorating impact on coastal water quality, especially to the adjacent swimming beach area.
The stochastic variations and structures of time series data on water quality were examined by employing the techniques of autocorrelation function, variance spectrum, Fourier series, autoregressive model and ARIMA model. These time series included hourly and daily observation on DO, turbidity, conductivity pH and water temperature. The measurement was made by automatic recording instrument at Noryangjin and Dook-do located in the downstream part of Han River during 1975 and 1976. Hourly water quality time series varied with the dominant 24-hour periodicity, and the 12-hour periodicity was also observed. An important factor affecting 24-hour periodic variation of DO is believed to be photosynthesis by algae. These phenomena might be attributable to periodic discharges of municipal sewage. Noryangjin site showed the more distinct 12-hour periodicity than Dook-do site did, and tidal effect might be responsible for the difference. The water quality, as measured by DO and turbidity, was better in the afternoon compared with the quality in the morning. This change can be explained by the periodic variation of DO, temperature and the amount of municipal wewage discharge. It was also observed that the water temperature at Noryangjin was higher than the temperature at Dook-do. This difference might have been caused by the pollutants that were added to the section between two sites. The correlation coefficients between some of the variables were fairly high. For example, the coefficient was -0.88 between DO and water temperature, 0.75 between turbidity and river flow, and 0.957 between water temperature and air temperature. The lag time of heat transfer from the air to the water was estimated as 24 days. The first order auto-regressive model was appropriate for explaning standardized hourly DO time series. The ARIMA model of (1, 0, 0) type provided relatively satisfactory results for daily DO time series after the removal of significant harmonic value.

Dispersion characteristics of surface discharge heat water in shallow region are investigated for coastal power plant with nearly constant depth of 20 meters by observing the seasonal depthwide temperature in several stations, which give or precise horizontal distribution and vertical structure of heat water. Surface discharged heat water in shallow coast in the Yellow Sea relies mainly on ambient tidal flow. so it behaves as free jet when the ambient now is strong and shows plumelike behavior during stagnant tide. According to observation the neat field region is estimated as 200-300 meters and shows distinct vertical profile and exponentially decreasing pattern from discharge point for this region. But there are no remarkable vertical distortion of temperature beyond 800 meters even though it is discharged from surface. Characteristic length scale model, CORMIX3, is applied and compared with the field date Overall tendency of CORMIX3 results resemble well with field data especially in near field and intermediate region.

Recently, constructions of coastal structure including wind turbine structure have increased at southwest shore of Korea. There is a big difference of tide which rage from 3.0 m to 8.0 m at south and wet shore of Korea, respectively. In such ocean circumstance, large scour may occur due to multi-directional tidal current and transverse stress of the wind. therefore scour surrounding wind turbine structure can make system unsafe due to unexpected system vibration. In this study, hydraulic resistance capacity, i.e., critical velocity and critical shear stress, was evaluated by RCT. Uni-directional and bi-directional hydraulic resistance capacities of the samples which were consolidated by different preconsolidation pressures were correlated with soil resistivities of same samples. According to the correlation, it is possible to estimate hydraulic resistance capacity from electrical resistivity of soil. Through the updating the correlation for various soil types, it is expected that the hydraulic resistance capacity of whole construction site will be simply determined from the electrical resistivity.
Pacific oysters Crassostrea gigas (Thunberg) were collected on April, 1999 and MarchSeptember, 2000 from Goseung Bay along the southern coast of Korea. The oysters tested cp;;ected from a depth of 0.5-2 m in which they cultured by a long line hanging method. The oxygen consumption rates (OCR) of oysters held under constant temperature and darkness (CC), were determined using an automatic intermittent-flow-respirometer (AIFR). Depending on holding periods after oyster collection, the experiments were divided into two groups: Group 7-d (held to ambient temperature for ca. 7 days) and Group 2l-d (held to ambient temperature for ca. 21 days). The OCR for Group 7-d single oyster displayed two peaks every day under CC, while Group 2l-d single oyster showed one peak every day. It is likely that the rhythmic patterns 02.6-12.8 hours) of the OCR in the Group 7-d single oyster may have been influenced by tidal currents at the sampling site. The rhythmic patterns (24.3-24.7 hours) in the Group 2l-d single oyster may have been shifted from two peaks to one peak each day under CC. The present study concludes that the OCR rhythm of wild oysters in nature is governed by two lunar-day clocks (24.8 hours); one driving one peak and the other driving the second peak. When oysters are subjected to the long-term CC conditions, one of the two-clock systems is depressed or only intermittently becomes active. Jpwever. the OCR rhythms by two to three oysters occurred arrhythmic patterns during the experiments and exhibited some evidence of weak rhythmicity of compared to those of a single oyster. It could be partly due to differences group effects.

The inflow from Daejeo gate and the outflow from Noksan gate in Seonakdong river, which is a reservoir-like river with the characteristics of stagnant water, is very important for TMDLs (Total Maximum Daily Load) of Nakbon N unit watershed. However, there are very few measured data for calculating base flow. The operating data is much different from the actual measured data because the probable maximum flowrate is used for gate operation. In this study, the operating flowrate data of Daejeo and Noksan gates are compared with the monthly water quality data from Ministry of Environment monitoring station. The dynamic change of the flowrate and the water quality is also measured for the operation of Daejeo and Noksan gates. The flowrate of Seonakdong river is measured, which is affected by the gate operation, the water elevation difference of Nakdong river and Seonakdong river, and the tidal elevation. The results of this study can be used for establishing the water quality improvement measures by the optimal gate operation.
