  • This paper deals with TVC nozzle stroke verification test and corresponding analysis techniques related to kick motor TVC system of KSLV-I second stage. It is shown that the relationship between TVC stroke and potentiometer voltage is revealed via the open-loop stroke verification test, and other major operational parameters including nozzle alignment error, actuation error, neutral position, radius of nozzle rotation, location of nozzle rotation center, angle conversion coefficients, etc. are analyzed via the closed-loop stroke verification test. The TVC stroke verification test results for the first and second flight model of KSLV-I show that all TVC operational parameters of KSLV-I second stage were normally setup for the first and second flight tests.

  • The six-components force measurements systems for rocket motors are used to measure multi components force generated by TVC(Thrust Vector Control) motors. This paper suggested the modeling scheme which is used in preliminary design and test analysis procedure and which can be applied to the existing other test stand in operation. The model whose parameters are determined by least square method makes the design engineer build the test stand to satisfy all kinds of requirements such as accuracy, operating condition and structural stability without tradeoff among the requirements. The experimental results shows that the proposed model has better accurate performances than those of other existing model.

  • This paper presents a study on the DSP controller and IGBT inverter driver design for the power-by-wire(PBW) system using BLDC servo motor. This BLDC servo motor system was realized with DSP(Digital Signal Processor) and IGBT inveter module. The PBW system needs speed control of servo motor for linear thrust action. This paper implements a servo controller with vector control and min-max PWM technique. As CPU of controller, TMS320F2812 DSP was adopted because it has PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) waveform generator, A/D(Analog to Digital) converter, SPI( Serial Peripheral Interface) port and many input/output port etc.

  • This paper concerns the dynamic property of TVC system in the upper stage of KSLV-I. The minimum bandwidth of TVC system is predicted by gathering and comparing the dynamic test data through whole development phases of KSLV-I. The linear models which approximate the dynamic data are also suggested. It is shown that the minimum bandwidth of KSLV-I TVC system is guaranteed over 6.0 Hz at one degree command. It is also shown that the linear model of KSLV-I TVC dynamics takes the form of the transfer function with an 8-th order denominator and a 2-nd order numerator. These results will play an important role in analyzing the flight stability and performance of KSLV-I.
