PIV를 이용한 분지관모델내 3차원 맥동유동의 가시화 (Three-Dimensional Flow Visualization of Pulsatile Flow in a Branching Model using the PIV System)

  • The objective of the present study is to visualize the pulsatile flow fields by using three-dimensional computer simulation and the PIV system. A closed flow loop system was built for the steady and unsteady experiments. The Harvard pulsatile pump was used to generate the pulsatile pressure and velocity waveforms. Conifer powder as the tracing particles was added to water to visualize the flow field. Two consecutive particle images were captured by a CCO camera for the image processing at several cross section. The range validation and the area interpolation methods were used to obtain the final velocity vectors with high accuracy. The finite volume predictions were used to analyze three-dimensional flow patterns in the bifurcation model. The results of the PIV experiment and the computer simulation are in good agreement and the results show the recirculation zones and formation of the paired secondary flow distal to the apex of the bifurcated model. The results also show that the branch flow is pushed strongly to the inner wall due to the inertial force effect and helical motions are generated as the flow proceeds toward the outer wall.

  • The three-dimensional unsteady compressible Full Navier-Stokes equation solver with sliding multi-block method has been applied to analyze three dimensional characteristics of the flow field and compression wave around the high speed train which Is entering into a tunnel. The numerical scheme of AF + ADI was used to efficiently solve Navier-Stokes equations in the curvilinear coordinate system. The vortex formation around the nose region was found and the generation of compression wave due to the blockage effects was observed ahead of the train in the form of plane wave. The three dimensional characteristics of the flow field compared to the analytic results were discussed in detail. The variation of pressure of tunnel wall surface and velocity profile of the train are identified as the train enters into a tunnel. The changes in aerodynamic forces and streamlines of each specific sections are also discussed and presented.

  • In this study, we analyzed the three dimensional unsteady flow field around the motor cooling fan using the unsteady lifting surface theory. We obtained the flow rate for various geometries of fan from the calculated results of velocity field. For the data of design parameter and rotating speed(rpm) of the fan, we can predict the flow rate of the motor cooling fan with thin thickness through numerical analysis without the experimental data of the free stream velocity which is a boundary condition of flow field. the numerical results showed the flow rate within 10% of error in comparison with experimental results. The radial fans, which are often used as internal motor fan were also investigated with the same procedure.

  • Transient and asymmetric density distributions have been investigated by three-dimensional digital speckle tomography. Multiple CCD images captured movements of speckles in three angles of view simultaneously because the flows were asymmetric and transient. The speckle movements between no flow and downward butane flow from a circular half opening have been calculated by a cross-correlation tracking method so that those distances can be transferred to deflection angles of laser rays for density gradients. The three-dimensional density fields have been reconstructed from the deflection angles by a real-time multiplicative algebraic reconstruction technique (MART).

  • 관망의 해석은 관망의 설치, 운영에서 매우 중요한 요소이다. 이를 위한 연구 방법은 1차원 모형과 3차원 모형이 있으나 각각은 정확도와 계산속도의 면에서 관망 해석에 장점과 한계점을 보인다. 2차원 모형의 경우 1차원 모형과 달리 난류 점성을 이용하여 보다 정확한 마찰을 모의할 수 있게 하는데, 이때 사용되는 난류 점성을 모의하는 모형은 Five-Region Turbulence Model을 이용하였다. 그러나 이들 모형에 사용되는 매개 변수들은 실험에 의한 값이기 때문에 이러한 매개변수에 따른 2차원 부정류 해석 방법의 응답 특성을 알아보았다. 이를 위해 실제 상수관망에서의 수격압 데이터와 부정류 해석 모형으로 부터의 수격압 데이터를 비교하고, 다양한 매개변수에 따른 속도 분포 모의 특성을 조사하였다. 이를 통해서, 난류해석 모형의 마찰 거동과 매개변수와의 관계를 규명하였다.

  • A new algorithm for measuring 3-D velocity components of high speed flows were developed using a digital image processing technique. The measuring system consists of three CCD cameras an optical instrument called AOM a digital image grabber and a host computer. The images of mov-ing particles arranged spatially on a rotation plate are taken by two or three CCD cameras and are recorderd onto the image grabber or a video tape recoder. The three-dimensionl velocity com-ponents of the particles are automatically obtained by the developed algorithm In order to verify the validity of this technique three-dimensional velocity data sets obtained from a computer simu-lation of a backward facing step flow were used as test data for the algorithm. an uncertainty analysis associated with the present algorithm is systematically evaluated, The present technique is proved to be used as a tookl for the measurement of unsteady three-dimensional fluid flows.

2차원 밀폐 캐비티의 고레이놀즈수 흐름에 관한 연구 (A Study on High Reynolds Number Flow in Two-Dimensional Closed Cavity)

  • Two-dimensional lid-driven closed flows within square cavity were studied numerically for four Reynolds numbers : $10^4$, 3$\times10^4$, 5$\times10^4$ and 7.5$\times10^4$. A convective difference scheme to maintain the same spatial accurary by irregular grid correction is adopted by applying the interior division principle. Grid number is $80\times80$and its minimum size is about 1/400 of the cavity height. At Re=$10^4$, periodic migration of small eddies appearing in corner separation region and its temporal sinusoidal fluctuation are represented. At three higher Reynolds numbers(3$\times10^4$, 5$\times10^4$ and 7.5$\times10^4$), an organizing structure of four consecutive vorticles at two lower corners is revealed from time-mean flow patterns. But, instantaneous flow characteristics show very random unsteady fluctuation mainly due to the interaction between rotating shed vortices and stationary eddies within the corners.

가솔린엔진 흡기매니폴드의 흡기유량 및 분배특성 (Intake-Air Flow and Distribution Characteristics of the Gasoline Engine Intake-Manifold)

  • 본 연구는 성능 해석을 통하여 1600cc급 흡기매니폴드의 흡기유량 및 분배특성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 일차원 엔진 성능해석 프로그램과 3차원 유동해석프로그램을 이용하여 해석을 수행하였다. 흡기 매니폴드의 정상상태 유동해석을 수행한 결과, 일차원 유동해석과 3차원 유동해석의 유량계수 표준편차는 1% 미만으로 우수한 분배특성을 나타내었다. 일차원 해석 결과가 3차원 결과 대비 미소하게 증가된 결과를 보였지만 동등한 유량계수 경향성을 나타냈다. 비정상상태 해석은 분배특성 측면에서 정상상태 해석 결과와 유사한 결과를 보였으며, 정상상태 해석결과를 통한 비정상상태 분배특성의 예측이 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 부분 흡입형 초음속 터빈의 로터 블레이드에 ${\pm}15^{\circ}$의 스윕 각도를 적용하여 그에 의한 효과와 공력 특성을 살펴보기 위해 정상상태 유동해석과 비정상상태 유동해석을 동시에 수행하고 그 결과를 비교해 보았다. 3차원 Navier-Stokes 유동해석에는 상용 코드인 FLUENT 6.3 Parallel을 사용하였다. 모든 계산 케이스들에서 정상상태 유동해석에 비해 비정상상태의 경우가 손실이 더욱 크게 나오는 결과를 나타내었다. 후방스윕(BSW)모델은 기준모델(NSW)에 비해 팁 간극으로 빠져나가는 누설 손실량을 줄이는데 큰 효과가 있었고 비정상상태 유동 해석에서는 로터 출구면 정효율의 증가현상이 더욱 뚜렷하게 나타났다.
