투습성에 따른 단열재의 단열성능평가 및 고찰 (The estimation on the insulation performance of thermal insulation materials according to water vapor permeance)

  • In this study, the insulation performance of thermal insulation materials such as glass wool, polyetylene and flexible lastomeric foam according to water vapor permeance was estimated by using experimental correlation equation. The results showed the conductivity increment of flexible lastomeric foam which has very low-permeability (${\le}0.15[ng/{\cdot}s{\cdot}Pa]\;or\;{\mu}{\ge}1,000$) is about 50% lower than that of glass wool with the lapse of ten years. The conclusion is that moisture inevitably accumulated in permeable Insulations reduces insulation performance and also accelerates surface condensation in the case of cold water system.

  • 이 연구에서는 기존아파트 외벽체의 단열 성능저하 및 보수보강에 필요한 기초 자료를 만들기 위해서 아파트의 구조체 단열성능 측정분석과 함께 단열하자에 대한 기준수립 및 평가를 하고자 한다. 또한 아파트 건축물 구조체의 열교 및 결로발생 부분을 예측하고자 하였다. 한편 시공연도별 분석에 의하여 단열기준 및 시간 경과에 따른 단열성능 정도를 분석하기 위함이다.

  • Recently, wood is attracting attention as green building interior decoration material. When wood is used as building interior decoration material, excellent dimensional stability and thermal performance is required. In this study, superheated steam treatment process and thermal compression process were applied to flat sawn Pinus koraiensis wood panel in order to improve dimensional stability and thermal performance. According to results of this study, superheated steam treatment process and thermal compression process improve thermal performance and dimensional stability of wood, especially in tangential direction. The spring back in radial direction reduces the effect of thermal compression on dimensional stability of wood in radial direction.

  • Research and analysis on thermal insulation status of existing buildings are needed to make data for repair and rehabilitation caused by deterioration in insulating material performance. To do this, we have researched and analyzed the insulation status of existing buildings according to the balcony with measuring instruments in pre-set investigation conditions.

  • The egg white phantom is a thermal lesion visualization phantom able to illustrate a thermal lesion. It is often used to evaluate the performance of HIFU and is less expensive than the BSA phantom. This study determined the optimal phantom composition for evaluated therapeutic ultrasound machines by varying the egg white concentration in the egg white phantom and demonstrated its utility as a therapeutic ultrasound phantom. The egg white phantom at varying egg white concentrations (10-40% in 10% intervals) was fabricated, and its thermal properties and acoustic properties were assessed. In addition, the size and shape of the formed lesion were compared between the egg white phantom and bovine liver tissue according to the electrical power. The results showed that 30% egg white phantom was optimal for the performance evaluation due to its thermal and acoustic properties. The generated thermal lesions formed sequentially as a cigar, ellipse, tadpole, and cone shapes according to the electrical power; a similar tendency was observed in the liver tissue. Hence, we conclude that the egg white phantom will prove useful in quantitatively evaluating the thermal effects of therapeutic ultrasound.

구조단열패널의 저에너지주택 적용을 위한 내화 및 단열성능 평가 (Fire Resistance Performance and Thermal Performance Evaluation of Structural Insulated Panels for Low-Energy Houses)

  • Structure Insulated Panel (SIP) is an wooden structure material with which structure and insulation functions are satisfied. Hence, it would be a cost-effective model to implement low energy house which has higher insulation and structure performance and which the wall thickness is able to be reduced. In this study, performance of thermal insulation and fire resistance were evaluated in order to verify applicability to low energy house. Fire resistance test is performed on vertical load bearing members for partitions, and the test results satisfy one hour of fire resistance condition according to KS F 2257. The members include two layers of fireproof gypsum board with thicknesses of 12.5mm attached to SIP. Thermal insulation performance is satisfied with the 2012 standard ($0.225W/m^2{\cdot}K$). As the performance of resistance and thermal insulation are satisfied, SIP is expected to be applied to low energy building materials. In the future, the structural safety will be confirmed by structural performance and seismic performance test and the guidelines for distribution will be drawn up.

  • The computer-aided performance simulation can reduce periods for development of products and cut down on the cost comparing with former trial-and-error procedures. This study has developed a simulation program for a vehicle thermal management system integrating an engine cooling system and an air conditioning system considering interactions and arrangement of air side heat exchangers such as power steering oil cooler, air-cooled transmission oil cooler, condenser, and radiator. The program may be also used for the system performance analysis according to the configuration of the engine coolant side heat exchangers such as water-cooled transmission oil cooler, EGR cooler, and heater core. Experiments utilizing an environmental wind tunnel has been conducted to assess the performance of the system according to the arrangement of air side heat exchangers. Some modification of the coolant loop layout can enhance the heat core performance up to 7% according to the results of the simulations.

  • This study is performed to investigate heat transfer characteristics for thermal performance of fin-and-tube sensible heat exchangers under the low air flowrate according to fin geometry combination and coolant flowrate control. Fins and tubes of samples were separated between front row and rear row. Experiment results are plotted heat transfer rate of each row, heat transfer coefficient and sensible heat ratio against water flowrate control of each row. It is observed that thermal performance can be enhanced by fin geometry combination and water flowrate control of each row under the low air flowrate.

유량제어방식에 따른 태양열 급탕시스템의 열성능 평가 (Thermal Performance Evaluation of Solar Hot Water System according to Flow Rate Control)

  • In this study, the performance and behavior of solar heating system according to the system control scheme, variable flow control (proportional control) and constant flow control (on-off control) was carried out by experiment. The on-off control is used generally for solar thermal system by now. But the proportional control is used for the solar district heating system which is supplied the higher temperature of water than that of desired. The proportional control logic that pump speed is varied in an attempt to maintain a specified outlet temperature of solar heating system was developed and tested for the use widely for the small and medium solar thermal system. The results are as following. First, the proportional controller which is made here could be adopted the characteristics for setting temperature control. Second, the proportional control is better than the on-off control in the side of the performance of thermal stratification in storage tank. Third, the operating energy(electricity consumption by pump) of solar thermal system can be saved more than 60% using the proportional control comparing to the on-off control.

Vanadia SCR의 열적 열화에 따른 조촉매의 영향 (The Effect of Additive Catalyst according to Thermal Aging of Vanadia SCR)

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of additive catalyst according to the thermal aging of vanadia SCR catalysts. At a fresh condition, the $3V_2O_5-5WO_5-92TiO_2$ SCR showed the highest NOx conversion rate of about 30%, the performance of 5 kinds of SCR to which additive catalysts were added was not improved due to the insignificant effect of acid site control. For catalysts aged for 12h at $700^{\circ}C$, the SCR to which 3wt% Zeolite was added decreased in NOx conversion rate by 2.5% on average compared to the fresh SCR, it showed higher thermal durability than other additive catalyst. For 3Zeolite with high performance of NOx conversion rate during thermal aging, the Zeolite with stronger durability at a high temperature than other 5 kinds of SCR catalysts decreased the sintering of catalysts.
