CFD 연성해석과 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 실내 열환경 최적설계에 관한 연구 (Optimal Design for Indoor Thermal Environment based on CFD Simulation and Genetic Algorithms)

  • The optimal design method of indoor thermal environment using CFD coupled simulation and genetic algorithms (GA) is developed in this study. CFD could analyze the thermal environment considering the distribution of temperature, velocity, etc. in a room. Therefore, It would be appropriate to use CFD for the optimal design method considering their distribution. In this paper, the optimal design means the most appropriate boundary conditions of the room among the conditions where the design target of indoor therm environment is achieved. Two step optimal indoor thermal environment design method is proposed. It includes the GA for searching the optimal indoor thermal environment design. To examine the performance of this method, the optimal design of hybrid ventilation system, which uses the natural cross ventilation and the radiation-cooling panel is conducted. The optimal design which satisfies the design target (thermal comfort, minimum cooling load, minimum vertical temperature difference) is found using two step optimal design method.

  • A brake disk and a pad are important parts that affect the braking stability of a railway vehicle. Especially, because a brake disk stops the vehicle using conversion of the kinetic energy to frictional energy, thermal fatigue cracks are generated by the cyclic thermal load, as frictional heat, on a frictional surface and these cracks cause the fracture of a brake disk. Therefore, many researches for the thermal stress must be performed to improve the efficiency of brake disk and ensure the braking stability. In this study, we performed the thermal stress analysis for a ventilated brake disk with 3-D analysis model. For that, we simplified the shape of a ventilated hole to minimize problems that could be occurred in analysis process. Thermal stress analysis was performed in case that pressure distributions on a frictional surface is constant and is not. To determine pressure distributions of irregular case, pressure distribution analysis for a frictional surface was carried out. Finally using the results that were obtained through pressure distribution analysis, we carried out thermal stress analysis of each case and investigated the results of thermal stress analysis.

  • For the optimal design of plasma facing components of a fusion reactor, thorough understanding of thermal behavior of high heat. nux components are required. The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of heat flow and thermal stress in divertors which are exposed to high heat load varing with time and space-Numerical simulations of heat now and thermal stress for three types of diverter are performed using finite volume method and finite element method. Respectly, commercial FLUENT code are used in the heat flow simulation, and maximum surface temperature, temperature distribution and cooling rate are calculated.   • The important problem in the high speed spindles is to reduce and minimize the thermal effect by the motor and ball bearings. Thermal characteristics according to the bearing preload and hollow shaft cooling are studied for the test spindle with the oil mist lubrication and high frequency motor. Bearings and motor e main heat generation, and heat generation by ball bearings as a function of load, viscosity and gyroscopic moment effect are considered. Temperature distribution and thermal displacement according to the speed of spindle are measured by thermocouple and gap sensor. The results show that the fitting preload and hollow haft cooling are very effective to minimize the thermal effect by the motor and ball bearings.

  • 본 논문은 배열회수보일러에서 부분부하 운전이 과열기 열성능에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 첫 단계로 가스터빈 최대부하와 부분부하 운전시 배열회수보일러 형태에 따른 가스터빈 배가스의 유동 특성을 전산유체해석을 통해 조사하였다. 다음으로는 수직형 배열회수보일러 과열기 튜브관군의 가스터빈 최대부하와 부분부하 운전 시 온도분포를 전산유동해석 결과를 이용해 계산하였으며, 이 결과와 실제 발전소 측정을 통해 획득한 온도분포 결과를 비교하였다. 마지막으로 부분부하 운전이 과열기 열성능에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았으며, 또한 부분부하 운전시에 유동의 불균일 현상을 제거할 수 있는 장치를 고안하였다.

  • The domestic needs for larger capability of power sources are increasing to cope with the expanding power load which results from the industrial developments & the progressed life style. In summer, the peak load is mainly due to the non-industrial reasons such as air-conditioners and other cooling equipments. To cover the concentrated peak load in stable, the power transmission lines should be more constructed and efficiently operated. The ampacity design of the underground cable system is generally following international standards such as IEC287, IEC60853 and JCS168 which regards the shape of 100% daily full power loads. It is not so efficient to neglect the real shapes of load curves generally below 60~70% of full load. The dynamic (real time) rating system tends to be used with the measured thermal parameters which make it possible to calculate the maximum ampacity within required periods. In this paper, the CTM(Conductor Temperature Monitoring) which is the base of dynamic rating systems for tunnel environment is proposed by a design of lumped thermal network ($\pi$-type thermal model) and distribution temperature sensor attached configuration, including the estimation results of its performances by load cycle test on 345kV single phase XLPE cable.
