그라파이트 혼입량에 따른 에너지 저장 콘크리트의 미세구조 및 열전도도 분석 (Analysis of Microstructure and Thermal Conductivity of Concrete Thermal Energy Storage based on Amount of Graphite Mixture)

  • 본 논문은 에너지를 실시간으로 저장할 수 있는 저장장치 중 열에너지 저장 콘크리트를 대상으로 재료의 미세구조와 물성(열전도도)의 상관관계를 분석하는 연구를 수행하였다. 에너지 저장 콘크리트의 열전도 성능을 증가시키기 위해 혼화재인 그라파이트(graphite)를 사용하였다. 그라파이트가 시멘트 질량의 10%와 15%를 치환한 시편과 일반 콘크리트(OPC) 시편을 제작하여 그라파이트의 혼입에 따른 미세구조 변화 및 열전도도의 영향을 마이크로 스케일에서 분석하였다. 마이크로-CT를 활용하여 OPC와 그라파이트를 사용한 콘크리트의 공극률을 비교하였으며, 확률함수를 사용하여 미세구조 특성을 정량화하였다. 미세구조 특성 차이가 열전도도에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 3차원 가상 시편을 제작하여 열해석을 수행하였으며, 이를 열평판법을 사용하여 측정한 열전도도 실험 결과와 비교하였다. 열해석 수행 시 그라파이트 재료가 지닌 열전도도 성능을 반영하기 위하여 해석 결과와 실험 결과를 기반으로 고체상의 열전도도를 역해석을 통해 계산하였으며, 그라파이트가 시편의 열전도도에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였다.

  • Phase change material(PCM) has thermal energy storage and been attracted attention. Latent heat of the organic PCM can keep maintaining temperature when the change of outside energy conditions influence to PCM. Thus, many researchers have interested to thermal energy storage ability and investigated to applications such as thermal storage of solar energy, bioclimatic building, icebank, medical application, clothing industry and so on. Among the many applications, investigation of the PCM in clothing industry is also important because the people has interest functional factor called health-care in the clothing. In addition, PCM can give them mild environment condition such suitable temperature control or humidity. To fabrics, the PCM has various methods such as microcapsule, padding and modified cross-section formation(Sheath/core). Sheath core PCM fabric has a better benefit of durability than other method. However, PCM sheath/core spinning is difficult. In addition, dyeing property is important to use clothing industry due to visual images. In this study, we investigated dyeing properties of Nylon/PCM sheath/core fabrics. Especially, we observed the relation between dyeing property and PCM including ratio. Various temperature and pH conditions were also studied to optimize dyeing properties as acid dye.

잠열물질을 이용한 열저장 기술에 관한 연구 (Study of Thermal Storage Technology using Phase Change Material)

  • The cold chain system in South-East Asia is requiring to maintain freshness of refrigerated or frozen food. In this study, Thermal storage system using Phase change material (PCM) was developed and evaluated its performance about temperature and cold keeping time. For various application of cold chain system, we developed portable cold box, cold roll container and freezing station. Keeping time on laboratory tests of portable cold box in case of refrigeration and freezing were 6 hours and 4 hours, respectively. Cold container was developed to 2.5 ton scale. Evaluation in Indonesia, it was showed to keep the setting temperature of $-10^{\circ}C$ over 40 hours at $30^{\circ}C$ of ambient air. Freezing station using PCM was kept over 24 hours under $-20^{\circ}C$.

  • The objective of this research is to study on the analysis of long-term performance characteristics of various solar thermal system for heating protected horticulture system for reducing heating cost, increasing the value of product by environment control, and developing advanced culture technology by deploying solar thermal system. Long term field test for the demonstration was carried out in horticulture complex in Jeju Island. Reliability and economic aspect of the system which was operated complementary with thermal storage and solar hot water generation were analyzed by investigating collector efficiency, operation performance, and control features. Optimum operating condition and its characteristics were closely investigated by changing the control condition based on the temperature difference which is the most important operating parameter. However, it is expected that, in high-insolation areas where large-scale ground storage is adaptable, solar system demonstrated in the research could be economically competitive and promisingly disseminate over various application areas.

  • The ice thermal storage system is to use consolation latent heat of water. But, supercooling phenomenon of water during phase change is to increase the cooling capacity and to decrease COP of the refrigerator. Furthermore, this causes the operation cost of system to increase and the efficiency of energy to decrease. Therefore, the better thermal storage material than the water is required. The purpose of this study is to improve supercooling characteristics and thermal properties of TMA 30wt% clathrate by using Ethanol.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 건물의 냉난방에 이용되는 현열이용형 축열조의 축열 특성을 규명하는데 있었다. 실험에 사용된 축열재는 자갈이었으며 일정한 온도조건하에서 축열재 사이를 통과하는 유체의 유동속도와 자갈의 크기별로 실험을 하였다. 자갈의 크기와 유속을 변화시켜 축열량과 축열효율을 실험적으로 구한 결과 축열재의 충진율이 72.5%이고 유속이 0.14m/s일 때가 최단시간 내에 최대축열량에 도달하였으며, 축열효율도 가장 높았다.

  • ESS(Energy Storage System) for Improve the quality of the power grid, supply reliability, system stability and the efficient operation method of power is drawing attention. According to changes in the load of the power system frequency will be adjustable in real time in response to changes in the frequency of the grid, so thermal power output is mainly controlled in order to keep the grid frequency stable. ESS for adjusting the frequency of the grid when the frequency rises to grid and charge the energy storage device. If the frequency drops to discharge the battery power to the grid and the future is expected to replace the thermal power plant. This paper describes 4MW ESS for the frequency regulation and find out about the characteristics through the PSCAD/EMTDC.

  • This study is aimed to understand the effect of pyrolysis temperature on the biochar synthesis for shape stabilizing the Lauric acid (LA). Three different temperatures (350, 500, and 650 ℃) have been chosen with a soaking time of 1h for synthesizing biochars form sesame plants (SP). The structural characterizations indicate the formation of amorphous biochar at 350 ℃ whereas, a stain of graphene formation has been observed for the biochar synthesized at 500 ℃. Formation of a substantial amount of graphene has been found for the sample, synthesized at 650 ℃. Energy storage performances of the PCMs which are shape stabilized by these three biochars have been discussed in this paper.

  • Thermochemical heat storage is a cutting-edge technology which can balance the energy usage between supplies and demands. Recent studies have suggested that thermochemical heat storage has significant advantages, compared to other storage methods such as latent heat storage or sensible heat storage. Nevertheless, ongoing research and development studies showed that the thermochemical heat storage has some serious problems. To bring the thermochemical heat storage method into market, we introduce experimental setup with composite material using perlite that supports calcium chloride sorbent. Also, to compare thermal properties with composite material, we used pure thermochemical material. Then, we found that the composite material has higher heat storage density by mass than pure calcium chloride. Moreover, it can be easily regenerated, which was impossible in the pure thermochemical materials.

그린하우스 열환경 조절을 위한 파라핀계 화합물(CnH2n+2)의 잠열 축열 특성 (Latent Heat Storage Characteristics of Some Paraffins(CnH2n+2) for Thermal Environment Control of Greenhouse)

  • Several paraffins(CnH2n +2) can be used as the thermal energy storage medium because of their large amount of latent heat and their flexibility of phase change temperature. But they have not been used in the thermal energy storage system because their long term stability have not been verified. Paraffins(CnH2n+2) which the values of n are 23, 24, 26 and 28 were selected for this experimental research. And this research was peformed to apply them to the practical systems. The results were summarized as follows. (1) The increase of phase change cycles had no effect on their phase change temperatures. (2) According as the values of n increased from 23 to 28, the specific heats of paraffins(CnH2n+2) increased, and were in the range of 0.47 0.75 ㎉/$kg^circ C$. (3) Thermal conductivities of them were in the range of 0.14 0.17 W/$m^circ C$. and specific gravities of them were in the range of 765800 kg/m3. (4) The density of paraffins was in the range of 765 800 kg/$m^circ C$ , and the density of solid phase was larger than that of liquid phase. (5) When the number of phase change cycles was 1, 500 cycles, the latent heat of paraffins was 90% of the initial value.
