Purpose - This short paper reviews the debate dealing with the relationship between strategy and traditional strategy approach on the one hand, and business models and new business model approach on the other hand and tries to offer useful direction to be more helpful to theoretical discussions. Research design, data, and methodology - This paper makes a theoretical analysis to explain the confusion surrounding the debate, reviewing mainly literature survey papers and finds theoretical conjecture and its limitations in order to present useful direction to the future theoretical work. Result - In order to comprise its diversity, business model studies should consider the characteristics of each firm, sector, and market. Adding further elements which are related to each sector or market, theoretical studies can capture the diverse phenomena related to business model and business model innovation. Conclusion - The traditional strategy perspective can be utilized to the Business model phenomenon in the case of incumbent firms and non-digital sector and existing markets. Meanwhile the new business model perspective can be utilized to business model phenomena in case of start-ups and digital sector and emerging markets. Reconciling two perspectives, the studies dealing with the business model should focus on the characteristics of firms, markets, and knowledge from the perspective of business model innovation.

The group-theoretical approach analyzing the domain structure and the domain wall orientations of the ferroelastic crystal was introduced. These theoretical results were investigated by comparing them with the experimental results of several ferroelastic crystals, CsPbCl₃, Pb₃(PO₄)₂, and LiCsSO₄, which were grown by the Czochralski and solution methods, respectively. both results were agreed well and also consistent with those of previous works such s the strain method and the geometrical consideration. The group-theoretical approach showed that the ferroelastic domain walls must be the crystallographical prominent planes with fixed indices and classified by the symmetry elements characterizing the permissible domain walls. So the group-theoretical approach could be suggested as a new method for analyzing the structure of the ferroelastic domain and domain walls.

In this paper various methods of determining of wave loads acting ofshore structures including impact load due to breaking wave are studied and corresponding model test was performed. In the theoretical approach wave load by nonbreaking wave and impact load by breaking wave is determined by Morrison's equation Goda's equation and impact wave equation, In the experimental approach wave load by nonbreaking wave acting on cylindrical pile used in offshore structures is determined by measuring the strain on a cylindrical pile and compared with theoretical calue. in the numerical approach impact load by breaking wave acting on a modeled cylindrical pile is calculated by usign ANSYS FEM program and compared with theoretical value. It is found that the experimental and numerical results are comparable to theoretical results, Thus the determination of wave load acting on offshore structures can be obtained by a proposed methods and it acceptable.

A novel approach for modeling the thermic endfire interstitial applicator is presented. A hypothetical semi-infinite circular cylinder is added in the endfire direction in order to facilitate the theoretical modeling approach. Probabilistic safety assessment is widely used to quantify the risks of nuclear power plants and their uncertainties. When the lognormal distribution describes the uncertainties of basic events, the uncertainty of the top event in a fault tree is approximated with the sum of lognormal random variables after minimal cutsets are obtained, and rare-event approximation is applied. As handling complicated analytic expressions for the sum of lognormal random variables is challenging, several approximation methods, especially Monte Carlo simulation, are widely used in practice for uncertainty analysis. In this study, a theoretical approach for analyzing the sum of lognormal random variables using an efficient numerical integration method is proposed for uncertainty analysis in probability safety assessments. The change of variables from correlated random variables with a complicated region of integration to independent random variables with a unit hypercube region of integration is applied to obtain an efficient numerical integration. The theoretical advantages of the proposed method over other approximation methods are shown through a benchmark problem. The proposed method provides an accurate and efficient approach to calculate the uncertainty of the top event in probabilistic safety assessment when the uncertainties of basic events are described with lognormal random variables.

In this paper, a theoretical approach was studied to make a baseline box type model satisfying the stiffness condition of a cut-out model. First, we compared the sum of the sectional theoretical deflections and the FEM result of the cut-out model under the static load test conditions, and we obtained good correlations from both the results. Second, To obtain the thickness of the baseline model, we used the mean value of geometric moment of intertia of the side wall and roof structure. Also, we compared the theoretical results and the FEM result of a baseline model, and we obtained good correlations. It is considered that the developed theoretical approach can be used for the weight reduction of train carbodies.

this study has dual purposes; one is to develope a new theoretical framework in consumer behavior area by applying the human ecological approach, and the other is to test the theory empirically area by applying the human ecological approach, and the other is to test the theory empirically by examining prepurchasing behavior of housing. Research methods adopted in this study are library search and survey research with self-administered questionnaires. The statistical methods used in the survey research are factor analysis, chi square test, and multivariate analysis with crosstablulations. According to the human ecological approach, ecological environments are important sources of consumer needs which , in turn, are satisfied by purchasing behavior in the market. Within this theoretical framework, consumers con improve the quality to life by perceving clearly what their needs are thereby making the most possible efficient purchasing decision making. The major findings of the empirical research on the basis of the theoretical framework are as follows; 1) Housing needs significantly vary with different ecological environment. 2) consumer information search behavior does not differ significantly by housing needs. 3) Housing needs turn out to be an intervening variable between ecological environments and consumer information search behavior. the results of this study show that the human ecological approach is useful in consumer behavior studies. The empirical result that consumer needs are not significantly satisfied by consumer behavior suggests a now direction in consumer education.

The purpose of this study was to propose theoretical-practical strategies of family-based intervention for the "Healthy Family-Support Center." The theoretical background used was an ecological approach, that is, taking viewpoints of client family's microsystems as well as those of exo- and macrosystems. This study raised several critical points in researching and developing family-based intervention programs. Based on a review of the literature, the study indicated why an ecological, family-based intervention model was a relevant alternative to investigate issues in family welfare and to deliver possible assistance and solutions for them.
