With the trend towards high propulsive level, increasing ship's dimensions and heavier shaft systems supported by the hull structure of relatively stiffness in modern ships, transverse vibrations of propulsion shaft system have become one of the problems that should be predicted in the early design stage. Regarding transverse vibrations, coupling terms such as oilfilm, gyroscope and hydrodynamic effect of the propeller exist between the vertical and horizontal vibration, furthermore for the shaft system with strut and bossing its physical properties incorporated with hull structure must be considered. In order to predict the transverse vibratory condition of the propulsion shaft and take some appropriate countermeasures, it is necessary to make a fairly strict estimation of the vibratory behaviours of it. In this paper, theoretical approach using the finite element method is investigated to calculate natural frequencies and vibration modes for coupled free transverse vibrations of shaft system in two planes. Based on the method investigated a digital computer program is developed and is applied to calculate the above-mentioned vibrations of an experimental model shaft system. The results of the calculation are compared with those of the experimental measurements and they show an acceptable agreement.

In this research, piezoelectric smart structures are applied for SEA(Statistical Energy Analysis), which is well known approach for high frequency analysis. A new input power measurement based on piezoelectric electrical power measurement is proposed and compared with the conventional method in SEA. As an example, a simple aluminum beam on which piezoelectric actuator is attached is considered. By measuring the electrical impedance and electrical current of the piezoelectric actuator, the electrical power given on the actuator is found and this is In turn converted into the mechanical energy. From the measured value of the stored energy of the beam, the Internal loss factor is calculated and this value shows a good agreement with that given by the conventional method as well as the theoretical value. To compare the coupling loss factor, L-shape beam system which consists of a aluminum beam subsystem and a steel beam subsystem coupled by three pin is taken as second example. The input power and stored energy of each subsystem are found by the proposed approach. The coupling loss factor found by the electrical input power obtained from the piezoelectric actuator exhibits similar trend to the value found by the conventional method as well as the theoretical value. In conclusion, the use of SEA for high frequency application of piezoelectric smart structures is Possible. Especially, the input power that is essential for SEA can be found accurately by measuring the electrical input power of the piezoelectric actuator.

Recently, the subject of reliability attracts a great deal of domestic and international attentions and the extensive research activities are being conducted as well. Such trend exists mainly due to the fact that the research on the subject of reliability not only contributes to the theoretical developments, but also may find a wide range of applications in practice over several fields. In particular, the research regarding the maintenance policy incorporating certain types of warranty for repairable system and its application is being performed extensively by many researchers, and their efforts seem more concentrated on developing new maintenance policies which minimize the expected operating cost incurred for replacement and repair of the system, while keeping the system at high reliability. Effective maintenance policy may reduce the operating cost and decrease the downtime of the system during its mission period and consequently, increase the productivity of the system. In this article, the major areas of interest in the field of reliability and its historic perspectives are given briefly and the theoretical aspects in several fields of reliability including the maintenance and warranty policies is also discussed. Furthermore, the current domestic situation regarding the education and research on reliability is presented, along with the importance of reliability theory and the difficulty of training reliability personnel. Finally, the author's opinion for effective education system is proposed.

This study first aims on preparing a systematic analysis basis for the expression aspects of hairstyle in forms of postmodernism. Secondly, it studies the meanings and aspects the hairstyle trend through a post modernism approach about its expression methods based on the suggestive collection hairstyles. Third, it confirms that hairstyle is also one of fashion that can be represented as modern society and culture by explaining that post modernism appears in hairstyles. This study analyzes the expression aspects of hairstyle in forms of post modernism that appears in modern collections by preparing theoretical theories for this study based on former studies related to post modernism theory and clothes from a qualitative analysis. The results of this study prepared a theoretical analysis frame to study the expression aspects of hairstyle in forms of postmodernism first. Secondly, as a result of analyzing based on the analysis, they show that disoriginality of hairstyle can be freely interpreted by the author through borrowing and restoration, disformation through discord and incompletion, discenterization through non-westernization and sub-culture, and inter-text through many symbols and meanings. Thirdly, as the postmodernism movement that represents modern society, culture, and art movement is reflected on hairstyle, it can be considered as a small culture and a product of the era.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between women's make-up behaviors and their motives. Two hundreds and nineteen adult women in Seoul, Suwon and Incheon were selected for this research. The data were analyzed by using Factor analysis, ANOVA. and Cronbach's $\alpha$. The goals of this study are 1) To identify the make-up motives based on the theoretical framework of the concept. 2) To describe the differences of motives of women depending on their age, job, education, and marital statues. 3) To Identify the psychological aspects of behaviors based on the theoretical clothing behaviors of the concept. 4 To describe the differences of behaviors of women depending on their motives. The findings are as follows: 1) The motives are to conformed others, to express oneself, to protect oneself from others, to protect skin from damages, and to express feminity. 2) There are significant differences of make-up motives of women depending on their age, job, marital statues. 3) The psychological make-up behaviors are oriented for fashion trend, ostentation, personality, and conformity. 4) There are significant differences in women's make-up behaviors depending on their motives.

In this paper. the research issues and trends are analysed by reviewing the journal of the Korea Society of IT Services which published from Dec. 2002 to Jun. 2010. Specially the qualitative analyses were implemented about research issues and trends through the content analysis about the paper details, abstract and key words described. We can find the more case of the theoretical study on the areas of the strategy and management, policy, laws, and systems, also the practical study on the service computing and IT technology, and solution area than the other areas. In this research, finally, the author can suggest that the integrated control be required to editing board for the effective classification of subjected paper candidate. Also the evaluation methodology such us experiment, performance comparative, should be adopted for the theoretical or practical study because the academic research requires the more scientific research methodology.

Recent, the issue of the fourth industrial revolution triggered by technological advances has changed the automobile industry centered on internal combustion engines, and quantitative growth of the global automobile market, which has grown rapidly, has been slowing since 2015. These advances in technology are expected to develop beyond the advanced driver assistance system to autonomous driving technology. According to SAE-J3016 published by the Society of Automotive Engineers, the technology of autonomous vehicles is divided into a total of six stages according to the driver's intervention and automation level from 0 to 5. Securing safety for autonomous vehicles is important. But, research on safety evaluation theory and autonomous vehicle evaluation method based on real vehicle test is insufficient. In this study, the longitudinal distance theory equation and continuous test scenario were proposed for the test method of autonomous vehicles for fixed targets, and the real vehicle test was conducted. When comparing the theoretical values compared to the measured values, it was determined that it was reliable with a minimum error rate of 0.484% and a maximum error rate of 7.391%. Using the proposed theoretical equation, it is judged that it can be used as a safety evaluation method in an environment where real vehicle test is not possible because it can grasp the trend in the longitudinal direction in the development stage.

The purpose of this study is to clarify how modern formative art reflects surrealism and propose a Art Make-up expressed based on the trend. The study also aims at demonstrating the part that the Make-up based on surrealism is also an artistic being keeping pace with the trend of art. For the purpose, the study reviewed related theoretical backgrounds and works as manufactured. Based on these theoretical backgrounds, the author anufactured works of his own, realizing the combination between theoretical and practical aspects. Those works were motivated from existing surrealistic paintings or otherwise made surrealistically through creation by the author for himself. The works included , (Work 2-MAGRITTE's Expression>, , , and . Results of the study, which were obtained through manufacturing the works, can be described as follows. First, senses of modern formation and line were emerged by applying the materials and images frequently shown in surrealistic paintings to human bodies. Second, characteristics of the Art Make-up for artistic image were revealed, not limited to colors, expressions, subjects, techniques and materials. Third, an unlimited, interesting expression of the Make-up using a variety of materials became possible by applying extremely subjective, surrealistic paintings and images in various ways. This paper proposed that the Make-up should be a artistic image itself, not as a secondary means for an obvious expression of personal beauty which has been maintained since the ancient times. The researcher tried to put the Art Make-up into our daily life by making creative works which viewed and psychologically enjoyed by people and by proposing the works as sort of image theme to the spectators.

The purpose of this study is to provide a systematical view point of SNS research published by scholarly journals in communications vis a meta-analysis. A total of 72 articles dealing with SNS issues from 2006 to 2012 were analysed by research theme, related sub-theme, methodology, theoretic rationale, targeted media, and characteristics. Effect research get the largest portion and then user research in terms of a developmental model of media research agenda. A major methodological trend is an online survey and theoretical background is Uses and Gratification. Twitter is the most popular medium researched and SNS is mainly characterized as information provision and seeking as well as relationship forming.
