The purpose of this study was to suggest the idea for IAQ improvement of the of officetel which is used by fully or partly residential space. The data was collected from 110 residents by questionnaire survey and an experienced architect by personal interview. The results showed that the IAQ improvement of the officetel with residential usage and residence was urgent. The educational program about maintenance of IAQ for residents was essentially needed. To recommend eco-friendly materials in process of construction was important so as to take precaution against 'sick building syndrome'. It was also necessary to improve on the size, shape, and location of ventilation window.

This study proposes a new approach which combines Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) and the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) techniques to effectively evaluate Decision Making Units(DMUs). While DEA evaluates a quantitative data set, employs linear programming to obtain input and output weights and ranks the performance of DMUs, AHP evaluates the qualitative data retrieved from expert opinions and other managerial information in specifying weights. The objective of this research is to design a decision support process for managers to incorporate positive aspects of DEA's absolute numerical evaluations and AHP's human preference structure values. It is believed that a pragmatic manager will be more receptive to the results that include subjective opinions incorporated into the evaluation of the efficiency of each DMU efficiency. The WPDEA method provides better discrimination than the DEA method by reducing the number of efficient units.

Promulgation of the Environment Preservation Act of 1977 has tried to conserve the environment encroached by the development projects. Since 1983, this act has included tourism development in EIA project and public participation as a part of EIA process since 1991. Still, there are many problems in applying the gathered opinions of local residents in such development plans. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new system in whole project process as well as EIA to reflect these opinions. This study aims to investigate the problems in the process of the public participation and to suggest more effective solutions from the developer's point of view. Studies include theories of public participation developed in the planning process and the opinion survey of developers.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of ongoing feedback from the professor in students' processes of learning and developing writing skills. Specifically, the researcher was concerned with how ongoing feedback affected students' attitudes towards writing because in EFL contexts, motivating students to write is a first step to engage them in a challenging journey of academic writing. 20 freshmen taking a writing course, "Paragraph & Essay Writing", at A university participated in this study and they were asked to complete the questionnaire at the end of the spring semester 2009. The results revealed that receiving ongoing feedback from the professor had a positive influence on affective domain, was helpful to develop learning strategies, and was valuable in learning outcomes. However, they also expressed negative opinions: feeling a burden, focusing on forms, and feeling confused. To reflect their opinions, the following four suggestions were made to create a more effective learning environment: promoting learner autonomy, facilitating individual writing conferences, giving balanced feedback in between form and content, and using judicious feedback through careful streaming.

Objectives: The purpose of this research is to identify and understand sexuality in 10th grade co-ed students in Seoul, Korea in order to construct practical curriculum for sex education for youth. Method: One-hour class per week was done to the 3 classes among 6 classes for Spring semester in 1999: small group discussion(for 3 classes) & questionnaires(6 classes) were taken. Results: Despite the increased number of sex education programs, peers apparently remain the major source of information and the counselor of their sexual problems. The rate of correct answer of the sex knowledge is still low, especially on biological aspects of opposite sex. Western culture and women's movements have changed our society. In turn, sexual sterotypes and roles have been changing. Small group discussions were taken after the classes of pregnancy, abortion and unmarried parents. Their opinions on maintaining virginity were collected. The condition of choosing spouse and boy/girl friend is quite different in many aspects.

This study is to investigate the degree of field awareness of how each provision of the Serious Disaster Punishment Act will affect accident prevention. As a result of conducting a survey of construction site workers, it was analyzed that construction site workers had a low sense of safety and did not voluntarily engage in safety activities. And it can be seen that they are taking a very passive position that it is efficient to implement safety under the supervision of the supervisor. Workers who need voluntary construction site safety activities are most aware of the situation at the site, but the problem was pointed out as "lack of procedures for listening to opinions and preparing improvement measures" for these problems. Future research is needed to see if this is a problem for individual workers or for those in charge of safety and health who do not correct it even though active opinions have been submitted.

In this paper, we propose the direction of development for EOD robot. We collected and analyzed the opinions of EOD teams. In order to verify the opinions, we conducted QFD(Quality Function Deployment) analysis. Based on the QFD analysis, we work out the priority of EOD robot development. And we establish the goal of development(target system) and suggest the development direction of EOD robot on each issue.

The purpose of this study was to explore the subjective opinions related to the weight control by using Q-methodology. Forty four adults were selected for P-sample from July to August, 1998. The collected data were analyzed by PC Quanl program. The results were as follows : There were 5 types of the adult's opinions about the weight control. Type I(Concern about weight control) : This type believes that there is a problem with general social attitudes, but the weight control it self is necessary. Type II(Health conscious) : This type believes that good health is very important and weight control is way of maintaining and improving good health. Type III(Obsessive) : This type believes that weight control is absolutely necessary no matter what it takes including extreme dietary change. Type IV(Influence by social pressure) : This type believes that the external stimulation and help is needed to motivate weight control. Type V(Self control) : This type believes that self determination is necessary regardless of social pressure.

This study investigates effective models of team teaching in Korean middle school classrooms based upon a questionnaire survey and two English listening tests. The data from 349 first year middle school students from 3 different middle schools were collected and compared between team teaching (TT) types in terms of participants' background language learning methods and their opinions about TT. The findings of the present study indicate that students appear to have different opinions about TT according to the TT types. Also the results of the English listening tests between students who took TT and those who didn't take TT show significant differences between TT groups. This study gives both native English teachers (NETs) and Korean English teachers (KETs) the perspectives about effective TT type and the opportunities that both types of teachers could reconsider their TT in order to develop students' English communicative competence more successfully.

This research shows that fuzzy set theory can be useful in modeling and solving flow shop scheduling problems with uncertain processing times and illustrates a method for solving job sequencing problem which the opinions of experts disagree in each processing time. In this study, FCDS (Fuzzified Campbell-Dudek-Smith) algorithm and FNEH (Fuzzified Nawaz-Enscope-Ham) algorithm are proposed to improve the fuzzified Branch & Bound algorithm that requires long run-time and computational complexities to find the optimal sequence. These proposed algorithms are also designed to treat opinions of experts. In this paper, Fuzzy processing times are expressed as triangular fuzzy numbers and comparison method use Lee-Li method and ranking method based on the dominance property. On the basis of the proposed method, an example is presented.
