Non-intrusive methods based on active remote IR illumination for eye tracking is important for many applications of vision-based man-machine interaction. One problem that has plagued those methods is their sensitivity to lighting condition change. This tends to significantly limit their scope of application. In this paper, we present a new real-time eye detection and tracking methodology that works under variable and realistic lighting conditions. Based on combining the bright-pupil effect resulted from IR light and the conventional appearance-based object recognition technique, our method can robustly track eyes when the pupils are not very bright due to significant external illumination interferences. The appearance model is incorporated in both eyes detection and tracking via the use of support vector machine and the mean shift tracking. Additional improvement is achieved from modifying the image acquisition apparatus including the illuminator and the camera.

In the method of 3D modeling, stereo matching method which obtains three dimensional depth information from the two images is taken from the different view points. In general, it is very essential work for the 3D modeling from 2D stereo images to estimate the exact disparity through fading the conjugate pair of pixel from the left and right image. In this paper to solve the problems of the stereo image disparity estimation, we introduce a novel approach method to improve the exactness and efficiency of the disparity. In the first place, we perform a wavelet transformation of the stereo images and set the reference points in the image by the feature-based matching method. This reference points have very high probability over 95 %. In the base of these reference points we can decide the size of the variable block searching windows for estimating dense disparity of area based method and perform the ordering constraint to prevent mismatching. By doing this, we could estimate the disparity in a short time and solve the occlusion caused by applying the fried-sized windows and probable error caused by repeating patterns.

Seismic exploration is divided by reflection and refraction method greatly, and reflection method can analyze complicated underground structure in the basis high resolution image, and refraction method can grasp the velocity structure of underground accurately. This thesis confirmed application of mixed exploration techniques using advantages of reflection and refraction. Reflection data processing applied conventional technique, and inversion of refraction data applied travel time tomographic technique that using SIRT method. Also, could establish initial information in model variable and improved the result of inversion by restricting model parameter value and dimension of area. Confirmed efficient fact in sequence and velocity structure grasping by utilizing accurate initial velocity model made out on the basis of marine reflection data, and mixed exploration technique using reflection and refraction have propriety that can trust in field application.

By inputting consumer satisfaction as an exogenous variable into the value-based adoption model, this study explored the factors that influence the user's intention to continue using image-centered generative AI. Briefly presenting the main results, first, enjoyment did not significantly affect perceived value, but usefulness had a positive effect on perceived value. Second, Fee and technicality had a negative effect on perceived value. Third, perceived value had a positive effect on consumer satisfaction and continuous use intention. Fourth, consumer satisfaction had a positive effect on continuous use intention. Based on the above results, it is important to recognize the usefulness of image-centered generated AI and enjoyment in the process of use in order to increase the user's intention to continue using image-centered generated AI, and at the same time, it will be important to increase the user's perceived value and satisfaction by minimizing the reasonable fee and complexity in the method of use at the level acceptable to the users.
Advances of telecommunication technology bring various changes in journalism field. Reporters started to gather, edit, and transmit content to main server in media company using hand-held smart media and notebook computer. This paper tried to testify valid bit-rate of visual news content using LTE network and mobile phone. Field news like natural disasters need real-time transmission of video content. But broadcasting company normally use heavy ENG system and transmission satellite trucks. We prepared and experimented different types of visual content that has different bit-rates. Transmission tool was LU-60HD mobile system of LiveU Corporation. Transmission result shows that bit-rate of 2Mbps news content is not suitable for broadcasting and VBR (Variable Bit Rate) transmission has better definition quality than CBR (Constant Bit Rate) method. Three different bit-rate of VBR transmission result shows that 5Mbps clip has better quality than 1Mbps and 3Mbps. The higher bit-rate, the better video quality. But if the content has much movements, that cause delay and abnormal quality of video. So optimizing the balance between stability of signal and quality of bit-rate is crucial factor of real-time broadcasting news gathering business.

An experimental study in a recirculating water channel was carried out to investigate the effect of large coherent structures to the skin friction on a flat plate. Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique was used to quantify characteristic features of coherent structures growing to the boundary layer. In the PIV measurement, it is difficult to calculate the friction velocity near the wall region due to laser deflection and uncertainty so that Clauser fitting method at the logarithmic region was adopted to compute the friction velocity and compared with the one directly measured by the dynamometer. With changing the free-stream velocity from 0.5 m/s to 1.0 m/s, the activity of coherent structures in the logarithmic region was increased over three times in terms of Reynolds stress. The flow field was separated by Variable Interval Time Averaging (VITA) technique into the weak and the strong structure case depending on the existence large coherent structures in order to validate its effectiveness. The stream-wise velocity fluctuation was scanned through at the boundary thickness whether it had a large deviation from background flow. With coherent structures connected from near-wall to the boundary layer, mean wall shear stress was higher than that of weak structure case. Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) analysis was also applied to compare the energy budget between them at each free-stream velocity.
In order to acquire a wide range of land that changes in real time and quickly and accurately grasp it, we plan to utilize the recently released high-resolution S.Korea's satellite image data and artificial intelligence (AI). Compared to existing satellite images, the spectral and periodic resolutions of S.Korea's satellite are higher, making them a more suitable data source for periodically monitoring changes in land. Therefore, this study aims to acquire S.Korea's satellite, select 8 types of objects to detect land changes, construct data sets for them, and apply AI models to analyze them. In order to confirm the optimal model and variable conditions for detecting 8 types of objects of various types, several experiments are performed and AI-based image analysis is technically reviewed.
For many medical imaging systems, volume datasets are stored as a compressed form, so that the dataset has to be decompressed before it is visualized. Since the decompression process takes quite a long time, we present an acceleration method for medical volume decompression using GPU. Our method supports that both lossy and lossless compression and progressive refinement is possible to satisfy variable user requirements. Moreover, our decompression method is well parallelized for GPU so that the decompression takes a very short time. Finally, we designed that the decompression and volume rendering work in one framework so that the selective decompression is available. As a result, we gained additional improvement in volume decompression.
