장애인에 대한 정책과 지원, 장애인 접근성 향상을 위한 지침 제정, 기술혁신과 제품개발 등으로 장애인 보조기기 분야는 산업측면에서 크게 부각되고 있다. 최근에는 ICT 발전으로 시각 장애인용 스크린 리더, 점자 디스플레이, 화면 확대기, 문자음성 변환기 등이 출시되어 촉각과 청각으로 인터넷 접속이 용이해지고 스마트기기를 통해 편리하게 전자출판 콘텐츠를 활용하고 메일을 주고받을 수 있게 된 것이다. 그렇지만 급속하게 전환되고 있는 디지털 미디어기반의 스마트시대에 시각 장애인의 접근성은 아직도 열악하고 보조기기와 대체자료의 성능과 품질도 개선되어야 할 점이 많은 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구는 연구개발 혁신 측면에서 시각 장애인용 보조기기 및 대체자료의 현황과 구조를 분석하고 접근성 향상을 위한 구현 방향을 제시하고 있다. 연구결과, 향후에는 다양한 디지털 정보가 맞춤형 및 실감형 형태로 전환되고 장애인 전용 단말기 또는 스마트기기를 통해 유통될 것으로 예상된다.

The railroad station building is a public facility that many people use. The disabled persons cannot move as freely as the ordinary persons do, so the facility shall be considered on this matter. We reviewed on the features of the retarded, visually handicapped and mentally retarded persons upon moving, and calculated the minimum space required in their move, access and use of the reachable space, and we also analyzed the design factors so that the prior guidance can be considered for the visually handicapped such as installation of guidance facility, change of finishing material and Braille points block handrail to avoid obstacles for the use of senses of touch, hearing and remained eyesight of the visually handicapped. In addition, we also analyzed the requests of general design totally to analyze and arrange the design factors with the thought that the facility for the handicapped shall be useful for the ordinary people as well as the handicapped.

Welfare centers for disabled person which are typical facilities in Korea are classified into two catagories One is general welfare center for all type of disabled persons and the other is special welfare centers for special disabilities such as visually handicapped persons, hearing-impaired persons and the physically disabled. In this study the movements of disabled persons in daily lifes were measured and many evacuation drills in welfare centers were conducted for the achievement of basic data such as velocities and evacuation patterns of disabled persons The evacuation patterns are characterized by different kinds of disabilities.

본 연구의 목적은 시각, 청각, 지적 여성장애인의 자녀양육부담과 부모역할만족도의 관계를 살피고 자녀와의 의사소통이 이들 사이를 매개하는지를 검증함으로써 여성장애인의 양육부담을 경감시키고 효과적인 부모역할 수행 방안을 마련하는데 있다. 조사는 서울지역 장애인복지관과 여성장애인 관련 단체의 협조를 통해 총 13개 기관에 300부를 배포하였고, 청각장애 여성은 자기기입방식으로, 시각과 지적장애 여성들은 조사원이 읽어주고 대답하는 방식으로 210부를 회수하여 최종분석에는 187부가 사용되었다. 연구결과 양육부담은 부모역할만족도와 자녀와의 의사소통에 직접적인 부적(-) 관계를 형성하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자녀와의 의사소통은 양육부담이 부모역할만족도에 영향을 미치는 관계를 매개하고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 여성장애인의 양육부담을 감소시키고 부모역할만족도를 증진시키는 동시에 자녀와의 의사소통 기술을 보다 강화하는 방안을 고려할 필요가 있다.

비데는 최근 상당수가 의료기능을 포함하여 다목적용으로 개발되어지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 비데를 사용함에 있어서도 장애인과 고령자가 일반인에 비해 추구하는 니즈들이 더 다양하고 심지어 장애유형별로도 제각각 요구사항들이 다르다. 따라서 본 연구는 고령자 및 장애인이 배변활동에서 요구하는 실질적인 니즈에 대해 조사하였으며 장애유형별로 니즈를 비교하여 분석하였다. 설문 조사는 고령자 39명, 장애인 120명을 대상으로 진행 되었다. 설문문항은 각 비데업체별 UI 인지능력 비교, 자동 물 내림 기능 선호도, 비데 컨트롤러 위치, 양각화 필요성에 대한 문항들로 이루어져 있다. 결과는 비데 UI인식에서 고령자와 장애인이 비슷한 비율로 제일 직관력이 뛰어난 아이콘을 선정하였다. 자동 물 내림 기능 선호도에 있어서는 고령자와 신체적기능장애인이 약 1:9의 비율로 자동 물 내림을 선호하였지만 감각적 기능장애인의 경우 5.1:4.9로 오히려 수동 물 내림을 더 선호하였다. 컨트롤박스 위치 또한 고령자와 신체적 기능장애인은 약 5:5의 비율로 차이가 미비했지만 감각적 기능장애인의 경우 2:8의 비율로 벽면 부착 보다는 비데 우측부착을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 시각 장애인에게만 해당되는 양각화 기능 선호에서는 점자지원보다 양각화 또는 점자와 양각화 모두 지원을 선호하는 응답자가 약 1:9의 비율로 높게 나타났다.

Private universities are going through difficulties in improving facilities for the disabled students due to financial reasons. Extension elevators, grips on both sides of the hallways for the visually disabled, handrails on the walls of ramps and stairs in the existing building, and improvement of the dormitory chambers are some items of such facilities in this analysis of MyongJi University. Hence, financial support based on the long-term plans and evaluations from the National Treasury to private universities with financial stringencies, will be a critical promotion in appropriating educational budgets and executing corresponding funds. This will eventually bring equal development of educational welfare for the disabled students among national, public, and private universities.

This cross sectional study was conducted in the city of Taiz, Yemen, during the period from August 2006 to August 2007 in order to investigate the seroprevalence and incidence of toxoplasmosis among apparently healthy children (AHC) and visually and/or hearing disabled children (DC). The seroprevalence was 16.0% among AHC compared to 32.5% among DC. The effect of gender was clear as the seroprevalence rate was significantly higher among females (18.3 and 43.8% for AHC and DC, respectively) than males (13.8 and 25% for AHC and DC, respectively). The seroprevalence was proportionally increased with the age, and the highest rates (20.9 and 53.0%) were reported among the oldest age group (> 10-14 years) for AHC and DC groups, respectively. The incidence rate was also higher (4.2%) in DC group compared to AHC group (2.4%) during 1 year period. These data indicate that the seroprevalence and incidence of toxoplasmosis are significantly higher in DC group than those of AHC group. We need to check further relationship between toxoplasmosis and visual and/or hearing disability.

신체적 감각적 제약이 있는 장애인들에게 방송 시청은 정보 습득 및 여가 생활의 주요 수단이다. 최근 방송통신의 융합, 방송의 디지털 모바일화, 이용자의 능동적인 미디어 이용행태 증가 등 미디어 환경의 변화는 장애인의 방송 접근성을 어렵게 하고 있으며 그 결과, 비장애인과의 정보격차가 커지고 있는 현실이다. 이에 2011년 7월 방송법의 개정으로 장애인방송 접근권 보장에 관한 고시가 제정되고 2013년 국가정보화기본법의 개정으로 웹 접근성 지침의 효력이 커지면서 시청각 장애인의 미디어접근권의 법적 근거가 마련되었다. 하지만 장애인을 위한 미디어 서비스는 여전히 양적 질적으로 부족한 현실이다. 본 연구에서는 시각장애인들의 미디어 접근에 필요한 해설오디오 서비스의 제공 현황을 알아보고 100명의 시각장애인들을 대상으로 실시한 해설오디오 서비스의 활용 실태, 만족도 및 개선 요구사항 등에 대한 설문조사 결과를 분석한다.

Disasters are now becoming commonplace and especially the vulnerable group such as the disabled, the elderly, children and foreigners are in a state of overlapping disasters. In this situation, ATSC 3.0-based UHDTV disaster information service for the visually and hearing impaired has been developing. This study focuses on the demand data collected through in-depth interview with the impaired. The demand analysis data is very important to development process of technology. The results of the interview show that it is essential to link the UHDTV disaster signals with home-network, IoT, wearable devices, and various assistive devices for the impaired (hearing aid, smart light bulbs, warning light, etc.). In outdoor space, UHDTV disaster information must be connected to public display media, digital signage, kiosk, screens in bus or taxi. If communication aids for the visually and hearing impaired are equipped with a function that can transmit and receive disaster information, it will help to minimize disaster damage.

본 연구의 목적은 책 읽어주기 활동이 시각장애아동에게 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위해 책 읽어주기 활동에 참여한 아동과 어머님, 책을 읽어준 선생님, 도서관 사서 등과 심층면담을 하였고, 근거이론 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 책 읽어주기 활동은 시각장애아동의 독서 흥미와 학습능력, 사회성 향상을 가져오는 것으로 나타났다.
