The purpose of this study was supply basic information and positive attitude needed to understand the disabled person through the analysing EMT Dept. student reaction on the disabled person. The subjects for this study were 251 students from G-college in In-Cheon City. The subjects were separated as the EMT dept. students and general dept student. The instrument used for this study were Lazer. Bonett and Granaff(1973). The scale of attitude on the disabled person. Data were analyzed by use of two-sample t-test and correlation coefficient with SAS program. Results are as follows ; 1. Frist, the EMT Dept. students showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with their family life and safety prevention with first impression, but the general dept. student showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with their self-consciousness, safety prevention with operative capacity, safety prevention with social life and safety prevention with school life. 2. Second, on attitude of 1 or 2 grade, first grade showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with self-consciousness and safety prevention with operative capacity. Second grade showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with social life, safety prevention with family life and safety prevention with school life. and first impression. But disabled person as safety prevention with self-consciousness, safety prevention with operative capacity, safety prevention with social life, safety prevention with school life and first impression. 3. Third, in interrelation effect analysing each section department and grade. They showed and interrelated more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with their social life and first impression. As a results, it is important to understand disabled person whose physical condition. Especially, this study suggests to need to endeavor safety prevention for disabled person.

Background: Dental treatment under outpatient general anesthesia is an option for disabled person, children and dentally disabled person who have the difficulty of cooperating voluntary with dental care. The aim of this study was to access the patients who had dental management under general anesthesia at Chungnam dental clinic for the disabled. Methods: This survey is consisted of 114 severely disabled and dentally disabled person who undergone dental treatment under general anesthesia from January to June 2011. Data were collected by individual dental and anesthesia records. Results: Of the 114 patients studies, the 45 patients was the dentally disabled and the 69 patients was the severely disabled. Rate of dental treatment among male patients was higher than among female patients. The dentally disabled was an similar age distribution. In the severly disabled, above 13-year-old was higher than below 12-year-old. The most popular induction method of general anesthesia was sevoflurane inhalation after induced sedative effect of nitrous oxide inhalation. The severly disabled who had definitely negative behavior was applied inhalation of high concentration sevoflurane. Conclusions: Chungnam Dental clinic for the disabled provide dental management for the disabled and the dentally disabled.

The number of disabled person is increasing, and also the demand of welfare is increasing. In the developed country, the range of disabled person is broad, because the definition of disability is different among countries. On 10/Apr, 2007, the law to forbid discrimination against disabled person was announced and then it will be operated on 11/Apr, 2008, in Korea. It will need to evaluate conflict between this law and underwriting guideline. There is obvious difference between disabled and non-disabled on risk selection of medical and environmental aspect. More than 50% of disabilities are related to the diseases rather than accident. The role of underwriter is to evaluate the future risk of morbidity (admission and/or operation etc). The insurance company is required to make new product for disabled person and the underwriter has to examine the application of disabled without discrimination, and with respect for the disabled as a human right.

In this paper, an assistive device for a knee joint to help a disabled person to stand up by supporting power is presented. The device is designed and controlled by using damping characteristics of the MR (Magneto-Rheological) damper. The MR damper helps the person to sit slowly and safely. A DC motor supports muscle power in the case of standing motion. Thus the device helps the disabled person to sit down and stand up. Through the experiments, it is feasible that an assistive device can help the disabled person to standup according to the foot pressure change.

어느 국가를 막론하고 장애인은 정보접근과 도서관 이용에서 많은 어려움을 겪을 수밖에 없기 때문에 국가차원에서 정보격차를 해소하기 위한 정책을 수립하고 강화하는데 주력하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 영미와 일본의 국가도서관을 중심으로 장애인서비스를 위한 법제, 조직체계, 지원시스템 등의 정책을 정밀 분석한 다음에 새로 발족한 국립중앙도서관 장애인도서관지원센터의 위상정립 및 운영방안을 제안하였다.

The number of the disabled is increasing every year. Growing interest in social welfare, but still the disabled person in places is restricted on the activities are due to obstacles. This study proposes an improvement direction through an research and analysis of installation status of convenient facilities in social welfare halls was planned after that the law of increase of convenience for the disabled person is enforced in 1998. This study analyzed nine social welfare halls of seoul including Yongsan-gu(GW), Guro-gu(GD, HW), Yeongdeungpo-gu(SG), Seodaemun-gu(SD), Dobong-gu(DB), Nowon-gu(NS), Seongbuk-gu(WG) and Dongdaemun-gu(JG). The evaluation criteria for the installation of convenient facilities for the disabled person in each social welfare hall based on the law of increase of convenience for the disabled person, and referred to other data. Also, review the criteria for the installation of convenient facilities, and grasp the present situation through the survey of convenient facilities in social welfare halls, and provides the installation standards of convenient facilities. The result are as followings. There were many problems to be improved in approach of the intermediate space, parking lot, entrance of the inside space and corridor that must be installed for the convenience of the disabled. In the intermediate space, the slope of the ramp, curb, induction handle etc. for a safety must be installed. Parking spaces for the disabled must be located closest to the main entrance, an induction marker or the handle, and the attachment of a directional sign etc. must be improved. In the inside space, it is convenient for the disabled person use to install an automatic door and swing door simultaneously at the main entrance. And, the height of the door handle, an induction block, a braille display panels of the appropriate height in the entrance, a braille display in start and end of the stairs handle, the handle of the side wall, the stairs to prevent slippage etc. must be improved in the corridors. The case of the sanitation which is a recommendation item is equipped formally with disabled toilets are difficult to use. Information and other convenience facilities for the disabled person in all the social welfare halls were not considered.

A person does communication between each other using language. But, In the case of disabled person, cannot communicate own idea to use writing and gesture. We embodied communication system using the EEG so that disabled person can do communication. After feature extraction of the EEG included facial muscle signals, it is converted the facial muscle into control signal, and then did so that can select character and communicate idea.

Recently, despite the presence of a large number of people with disabilities, facilities and services for the disabled are insufficient in comparison with the advanced countries. Especially, unmanned facilities and devices are not available for disabled people without help. As interest in disabled people increased, the convenient facilities for the disabled person should be legally installed in the public places. Moreover, social consensus formation and technical approaches are being actively pursued. In this paper, we propose a five-step scenario to use an unmanned post office. Based on the proposed scenario, we present the method to improve the accessibility of the user interface of the unmanned facilities. And we present a plan for establishing the short- and medium-term service models. This plan is expected to be highly practicable because it reflects the current situations of Korea Post and analysis result of the domestic and oversea cases.

The main purpose of this article is to make a new physical therapy program for disabled students in department physical therapy. From 1963 to 2001, education schools which has department physical therapy is 34 colleges or universities, graduate students is 2,000 persons. In order to competition non-disabled students, we need a strategic plan for specialize of disabled person in physical therapy at college. Therefore our study suggest a new physical therapy program for disabled students ; that is educated and trained student intensively to be a specialized physical therapist by disability pattern in college. A sort of specialized physical therapist are in fields of orthopedic manual therapy, massage and home physical therapy.

본 연구는 유럽국가(스웨덴, 영국, 프랑스)의 국가도서관, 공공도서관, 장애인도서관을 각각 방문하여 도서관정책 및 정보서비스에 대한 질적 데이터를 수집하고 이를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 장애인을 위한 우리나라 도서관서비스의 정책을 현장에 적용시키기 위하여 고려해야 할 점을 제언하였다. 국립장애인도 서관지원센터는 일관된 정책과 실행력을 갖출 수 있도록 전문기관으로 독립해야 하며, 민간장애인도서관의 역사성과 전문성이 계승될 수 있도록 지원해야 한다. 국가, 공공, 장애인도서관 및 학교, 대학도서관과의 협력적 체제정비로 대체자료 개발, 통합목록 및 전문서비스 개발이 요구되며, 도서관 내적인 협력뿐만 아니라 외적인 환경인 사회적 제도, 법적 제도 및 장애인관련단체, 지방자치단체 등의 협력 속에서 발전할 수 있도록 해야 한다.
