In this paper, dynamical model and control architecture are developed for the closed chain motion of two N-joint manipulators holding a rigid object. Controller consist of forward controller which is reduced order model and compensator that compensates for modeling error. Control laws are determined so as to decouple the force and position controlled degree of freedom(DOF) during motion of the system.
Adaptive control system has evolved as an attempt to avoid degradation of the dynamic performance of a control system when environmental variations occurs. While the feedback control system is oriented toward the elimination of the effect of state perturbations, the adaptive control system is oriented toward the elimination of the effect of structural perturbation, upon the performances of the control system. The model reference adaptive controller is utilized in velocity loop controller for positioning and tracking is designed based on the linear decoupled dynamics.
An improved nonlinear speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) is presented. A quasi-linearized and decoupled model including the influence of parameter variations and speed measurement error on the nonlinear speed control of a PMSM is derived. Using this model, to overcome the drawbacks of conventional nonlinear control scheme, the improved nonlinear control scheme that employs time delay control(TDC) is proposed. To show the validity of the proposed control scheme, simulation studies are carried out and compared with the conventional control scheme.

In this paper. continuation power flow for Power system including UPFC has been performed. The decoupled model, by which power flow can be performed without any modification of conventional power flow program is used as steady-state model. A numerical example has been given to analyze the influence on the voltage stability by UPFC.
The dynamic displacement is considered to be an important indicator of structural safety, and becomes an indispensable part of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) system for high-speed railway bridges. This paper proposes an indirect strain based dynamic displacement reconstruction methodology for high-speed railway box girders. For the typical box girders under eccentric train load, the plane section assumption and elementary beam theory is no longer applicable due to the bend-torsion coupling effects. The monitored strain was decoupled into bend and torsion induced strain, pre-trained multi-output support vector regression (M-SVR) model was employed for such decoupling process considering the sensor layout cost and reconstruction accuracy. The decoupled strained based displacement could be reconstructed respectively using box girder plate element analysis and mode superposition principle. For the transformation modal matrix has a significant impact on the reconstructed displacement accuracy, the modal order would be optimized using particle swarm algorithm (PSO), aiming to minimize the ill conditioned degree of transformation modal matrix and the displacement reconstruction error. Numerical simulation and dynamic load testing results show that the reconstructed displacement was in good agreement with the simulated or measured results, which verifies the validity and accuracy of the algorithm proposed in this paper.
This study proposes a power decoupled multi-port dual-active-bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter employing multiple transformers. Conventional multiport DAB DC-DC converters experience a power coupling issue from the use of a single transformer, which essentially requires complex power decoupling control. To solve this issue, a multiport DAB DC-DC converter employing multiple transformers is proposed to decouple output power without additional complex control algorithms. The proposed converter uses multiple transformers that can expand output ports easily. Therefore, transformers and the proposed multi-port DAB converter can be designed simply. In addition, the number of coupling inductors can be reduced in the proposed three-port DAB converter compared with that in conventional multiport DAB converters. The power decoupling characteristics and equivalent circuit of the proposed converter are analyzed using theoretical model approaches. Finally, a 3-kW laboratory prototype is developed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed converter.
The modeling of 5-bar linkage robot manipulator dynamics by means of a mathematical and neural architecture is presented. Such a model is applicable to the design of a feedforward controller or adjustment of controller parameters. The inverse model consists of two parts: a mathematical part and a compensation part. In the mathematical part, the subsystems of a 5-bar linkage robot manipulator are constructed by applying Kawato's Feedback-Error-Learning method, and trained by given training data. In the compensation part, MLP backpropagation algorithm is used to compensate the unmodeled dynamics. The forward model is realized from the inverse model using the inverse of inertia matrix and the compensation torque is decoupled in the input torque of the forward model. This scheme can use tile mathematical knowledge of the robot manipulator and analogize the robot characteristics. It is shown that the model is reasonable to be used for design and initial gain tuning of a controller.
A real time multibody vehicle dynamics model has been developed and implemented using a subsystem synthesis method based on recursive formulation. To verify real time simulation capability the developed model has been applied to HMMWV(High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) with steering system. For the kinematically driven steering system, the coupled front suspension-steering subsystem can be decoupled into two SLA suspension subsystems, which improves the efficiency of simulation. To investigate theoretical efficiency, operational counting method has been also employed to compare the proposed model with the conventional recursive dynamics model. Various simulations such as unsymmetric bump run, step steering(J-turn) and sine steering input test have been carried out to verify the real time feasibility of the proposed model.
The model of a FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) admits to a natural hierarchical decomposition of highly decoupled units with similar structure and control. The FMS fractal architecture model represents a hierarchical structure built from elements of a single basic design. A SES (System Entity Structure) is a structural knowledge representation scheme that contains knowledge of decomposition, taxonomy, and coupling relationships of a system necessary to direct model synthesis. A substructure of a SES is extracted for use as the skeleton for a model. This substructure is called pruned SES and the extraction operation of a pruned SES from a SES is called pruning (or pruning operation). This paper presents a pruning operation called recursive pruning. It is applied to SES for generating a model structure whose sub-structure contains copies if itself as in FMS fractal architecture. Another pruning operation called delay pruning is also presented. Combined with recursive pruning the delay pruningis a useful tool for representing and constructing complex systems.
