This study attempts to systematically analyze a red carpet style. I have researched the Academy Awards called representative film awards which symbolizes international fame and the Grammy Awards which is the most prestigious award in the music industry by subdividing into formative elements such as silhouette, color, fabric, pattern, detail, accessory, fashion image, and so on from 2000 to 2012. Firstly, when it comes to silhouette, mermaid silhouette accounts for the highest proportion in the Academy Awards. Compared to this, fit silhouette is shown almost the same percentage as the mermaid silhouette in the Grammy Awards. Secondly, with regard to color, black color has not only the highest percentage but also examples of different unit forms such as various color, showy gradation and single colors. Various colors in the Grammy Awards have similar percentage in comparison with the Academy Awards. Thirdly, in terms of fabric, silky material is often used most, which looks like putting more weight on dresses for the formative elements of clothes. Fourthly, in pattern, patternless dresses are represented by high percentage at both the Academy Awards and Grammy Awards. Dresses with patterns have mild, stylistic elements and geometric designs. The Grammy Awards shows many different unique patterns, color and size, compared to the Academy Awards. Fifthly, in detail, frill and ruffle ornaments are shown most at the Academy Awards and Grammy Awards. Especially in the Grammy Awards, beads ornaments are used most. Sixthly, in accessory, there are many accessories of graceful, elegance styles in the Academy Awards. On the contrary to this, there are many accessories to effect on many performances of large, fancy, unique styles. Seventhly, elegance images of a goddess style among fashion images emerge as fashion of the Academy Awards. In spite of romantic styles in the Grammy Awards, many various images are the same rate as there, which means different appearance of experiment and sensational styles.

This study analyzed newspaper reports in the United States and South Korea that focused on Parasite's unprecedented performance at the 2020 Academy Awards. The research focused on the power relationship between 'the established and the outsiders (Elias & Scotson, 1994)' as represented by the Academy Awards and Parasite, respectively. Qualitative content analysis and text analysis were conducted to examine the reporting of American and South Korean newspapers and illuminate three aspects of the power relations between the Academy Awards and Parasite. Three major findings were derived. First, the Academy traditionally has a reputation for marginalizing films with a non-English or Asian background, but recognition of Parasite at the 92nd ceremony changed the Academy's established position of power. Second, historically, the Academy Awards had been characterized by a group charisma that exerts stigmatization (through an English-oriented policy and language stigmatization) and accords North American films priority over non-English movies. Lastly, the reports of newspapers in the two countries are generally similar, but the Korean articles internalized the individual, society, and the state.

Throughout her life time, Edith Head produced cinema costumes for over one thousand movies. She was the leading cinema costume designer in Hollywood. Since the Academy Awards added the area of costume design to be recognized [during 33 years of her work(1948∼1981)], she was nominated 35 times an awarded eight times. However, there were no significant studies done on her work or accomplishments although she was acknowledged as an ingenue and creative designer who elicited artistic effects by reflect character's images through their costumes. The purpose of the study was focused on revealing Edith Head's life and work as her creations had a great impact in he field of cinema costumes. It was also to emphasize the forceful affect of cinema costumes on fashion and to disclose the powerful influence of cinema costume designers. The method of the study includes reviews of literature, movies for which she created costumes, her own possessions, and fashion magazines as well as her works that were nominated and chosen for the Academy Awards. Edith head's emphasis in costume design was based on a blend of both simplicity and sophistication avoiding excessive exaggeration and transformation in her work. Her work was also realistic and contemporary. She developed a dramatic ambience through an innovative design while preserving the actor's individual character and uniqueness. Through this accept her her work was highly renowned as an art form as it was gaining popularity. She was also a dominant figure who influenced trends in the areas of fashion magazines, uniforms, and public clothing. In the review of her cinema costumes, it was revealed that the styles of cinema costumes can be as quickly adapted by the public as movies are viewed because the cinema costumes are highly projected through a visual channel. Subsequently, a follow up study on the affect of cinema costumes on fashion would be beneficial.

Compared with Cathy Song and Myung-Mi Kim, Suji Kwock Kim is yet to be known in Korea, even though she won prestigious American literary awards like the Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets and the Addison Metcalf Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters for her debut book of poems, Notes from the Divided Country. Although she was born and raised in the United States and had little knowledge of Korean at first, she came to recognize her identity and be familiar by and by with Korean history. The knowledge of the facts that Korea had been ravaged by foreign forces and suffered from the Japanese colonization and the Korean War aches her soul, and this soul-aching is aggravated by her ancestors' direct experiences of those Korean historical tragedies. But this book of poems does not contain poems regarding Korean history alone. The first part shows her guilty consciouseness for her brother and sister, who are suggested to be physically abnormal or mentally retarded. The third and fourth parts are filled with poems of very diverse subject matters, tones, and themes. Of those poems, "Monologue for an Onion" is probably most worthy of special attention. It is not only a searing indictment for human folly but also a very intriguing poetic rendering of Nietzschean ultimate lessson. Her achievement in the first book of poems makes us eagerly wait for the second one, which is, reportedly, forthcoming sooner or later.

Research fields are mainly invertebrate palaeontology, palaeobotany and palynology, micripalaeontology, and stratigraphy, which are being studied by the 223 researchers and graduate students (October, 2005). Since its foundation 50 years ago, the institute has published more than 6,200 research papers in national and international scientific journals, 300 volumes of scientific monographs in various fields. 200 scientific research projects have received awards from the state, Chinese Academy of Sciences, province and ministry level-government. Of them the "Project of the Chengjiang Biota and Cambrian Explosion" won the Frist class of National Natural Science Award from Ministry of Science and Technology in 2003.

The purpose of this study is to create party wear of heroine Satine's image. This study analyzed the costume and its image of the film "Moulin Rouge" which the director Baz Luhrmann filmed the club 'Moulin Rouge' has existed in Paris, France. Catherine Martin, who got the Academy awards in movie costume and art director with this film, made the costume which was added more gorgeous and modern sense for the image beauty for costume in film from the costume design which appeared in the art work of Toulouse-Lautrec painted Moulin Rouge. In the costume form, S-silhouette robe with gored skirt was appeared as usual garment and gorgeous corset style costume which was outer garment like underwear exposed of the body, pleasant apolaustic and decorated excessively was appeared for costume design. Based on the above study, this study created the party wear of the graceful eroticism image and the prostitute eroticism image of heroine Satine. The costume design of Satine's image was planned along the character which was analyzed through this study.

This paper aims to explore and shed light on how the rise of streaming services has been affecting the media landscape in the recent years by looking at the conflicts between the Hollywood film industry and Netflix. It especially examines Netflix's disregard for the theatrical release, as it is the most portentous issue that could reshape the film industry, and Hollywood's opposition to it as revealed through the 2019 Academy Awards where the issue was brought into sharp relief. At the same time, this paper also questions whether theatrical distribution makes a film any more cinematic by examining how Hollywood film production has been largely concentrated on tentpoles and franchises, while Netflix has been producing diverse films often shunned by the studios. In this light, it concludes the changes wrought by Netflix, including its bypassing of the theatrical release, are not likely to be reversed.

In the rapidly changing era of the fourth industry, big data is being used in various fields. In recent years, the use of big data has been rapidly applied to overall cultural and artistic contents, and among them, the use of big data is essential as a film genre with a lot of capital. This research method is analyzed as the film , which won the Palme d'Or Prize of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival in 2019 and the works and directors' award at the Academy Awards. The analyzed value predicts the film's performance through opinion mining, which gives the value of the change and sensitivity of each data cycle, and extracts the utilization index and topic keywords of SNS such as Facebook and Twitter to reflect the audience's interest. Identify the factors. As such, if model performance and model development can be predicted through model analysis of film performance using big data, the efficiency of the film production process will be maximized while the risk of production cost and the risk of film failure will be minimized.

African-American music heavily influences a variety of musical genres, including folk music, jazz, rhythm and blues, soul, and funk music. The music derived from traditional African music with its unique syncopated rhythm using a five-note pentatonic scale, and has developed through significant influences from gospel music. African-American music has also evolved through historical social movements, such as eliminating the racial discrimination, and has been influenced by the personalities of different cities in the United States. Modern music features fusion with elements of Western music. One of the most influential and respected artists of the 20th century was Stevie Wonder, who was known as "Father of African-American music." He was an accomplished artist, winning numerous awards despite being disabled. He has become one of the most famous and respected artists worldwide. This study of Stevie Wonder's life, music, and spiritual strength, aims to highlight his significant achievements and contributions to pop music. This is a study based on an analysis of the work of Stevie Wonder and describes how elements of African-American music influences current Korean pop music and musicians.

Fluid simulation for computer graphics is a field of generating the realistic movements of water, smoke, fire, explosion, sand and related phenomena to be used in motion pictures and video games. In this paper we review the fluid simulation technologies and present a trend analysis for the simulation methods used in the recent movies. First of all, for this purpose, the two methods that are most widely used for fluid simulation are explained as well as their technical issues. These two methods are classified into Eulerian grid-based and Lagrangian particle-based approaches. Next, focusing on the achievements of the scientists and engineers that the 2008 Sci-Tech Oscar Awards are given to, the features of their fluid simulation technologies are analyzed. Finally, we anticipate that there are and will be the needs for visualizing fluid interaction with rigid and soft bodies and topological change among solid, fluid and gas, creating digital creatures based on fluid simulation and presenting interaction between creature and fluid.
