A Survey on User Interface Design of University Webzines (대학 웹진의 사용자 인터페이스 디자인 조사)

  • This paper deals with interface design of a university webzines that to search through an internet portal site Naver. It was obtained the following conclusions. First, university webzines are using a hypertext link to such images, text, movie. Second, it could be seen that mainly been using block grid, the module grid, and a transformed layout of 2 tier grid. Third, Seoul woman's University, Kyungpook National University, and Korea Maritime University's webzines found that layout, color, user-friendly access the structure. Fourth, webzine was used the text or image a link, search function, site map, icon, favorites, quick menus, navigation bars, and rollover menu. Last, university webzines were shown to contribute mere to the enhancement of its value as a promotional medium.

A Study on Nutrition Education for Day-Care Teachers and Children (어린이집 교사와 원아를 위한 영양교육 실태에 관한 연구)

  • The Purpose of this study is to survey nutrition education for day-care teachers and children. For this study, 453 day-care teachers were asked questionnaire and responses were analyzed. Textbooks of the teachers were also analyzed and nutrition survey at four different places of day care were carried out. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The majority of the day-care teachers were interested in the nutrition and nutrition education, but only 23.2% of the teachers had experience of nutrition education. 2. As to the nutrition knowledge(high, middle, and low), 58.1% of the teachers responded to the middle level. 3. About 81% of the text materials for the pre-teachers contain subject of the health and nutrition management for the children, however, the contents of nutrition management were limited to 7 pages(0.6% of the volume). For the text materials of the re-education, only 9.1% contains the subject, and the contents of nutrition management were limited to 3% of the volume. 4. The percentage of employing dietitians in the day-care is 12.4%, and menu is prepared mostly by the director of the day care. 5. In the nutrition survey, nutrient intake was mostly unsatisfied.

Determination of Single Serving of Cooked Food and Its Nutritive Values Calculation Presented in Home Econmics Text Books (중.고등학교 가정과 교과서에 제시된 상용식품의 1인분량 설정 및 영양성분 함량 산출)

  • The purpose of this study is to revise the food composition table based on commonly consumed single serving size of cooked food so the people can easily use the table in each meal. With this revised food composition table, everybody can easily calculate how much they eat, and plan the menu according to how much they need, so hopely contribute to reduce the leftover foods. Eighty-nine kinds of prepared food dishes were selected based on 13 home economics text books of the junior and high schools. The results are summarized as follows: Cooked food dishes comprise various kinds of rice dishes, korean style soups and stewes, fried, roasted or steamed fishes, vegetables and meats, and desserts. Single serving size of cooked food dishes are presented below: 1) rise : 180∼250g, 1(1/3)∼1(2/3)cup 2)soup:320∼400g, 1(1/2)∼2cup 3)pan fried fish or vegetable : 40∼70g 4)deep fried vegetable, fish or meat; 60g 5)kimchi :50g Single serving size of all other dishes are presented based upon the most commonly consumed amount in each meal by adult male.

A Study on Smishing Block of Android Platform Environment (안드로이드 플랫폼 환경에서의 스미싱 차단에 관한 연구)

  • As financial transactions with a smartphone has become increasing, a myriad of security threats have emerged against smartphones. Among the many types of security threats, Smishing has evolved to be more sophisticated and diverse in design. Therefore, financial institutions have recommended that users doesn't install applications with setting of "Unknown sources" in the system settings menu and install application which detects Smishing. Unfortunately, these kind of methods come with their own limitations and they have not been very effective in handling Smishing. In this paper, we propose a systematic method to detect Smishing, in which the RIL(Radio Interface Layer) collects a text message received and then, checks if message databases stores text message in order to determine whether Smishing malware has been installed on the system. If found, a system call (also known as a hook) is used to block the outgoing text message generated by the malware. This scheme was found to be effective in preventing Smishing as found in our implementation.

  • A database program, named SLOPMAN, was developed to collect all the information on the slopes with potential hazard around railroad and to setup the effective management system. SLOPMAN is composed of three modules: data control, search and analysis. The program is able to store both text and image data and operated with tabs for the users' ability and convenience. Drop-down menu is equipped to reduce errors and the number of key strokes when inputting data. Searching data is made by codes automatically given to slopes or key words. In the analysis module, RMR and SMR values can be obtained to estimate the stability of slopes.

  • As people's interest about food service rises, curiosity about correct foodservice company's information is rising on own inclination and necessity than usual foodservice company. Full text search site that do to foodservice company hereupon is operated, it is becoming menu that do not fall in name of ' Eumsikjeomchatgi ' in a representative search site such as Yahoo, Empas, Hanmir and so on. But, is not beam margin battle array that these search engines find data that they want being applied perfectly in site FACE that is use up to now. Also, is looked that there is problem about practical use service and search. Because search effect of site by that investigate consumers' awareness and practical use turkey for foodservice company search site and diagnose present level, it is thing to grope improvement. This research may supply one suggestion point establishing by more effective marketing communication strategy through internet hereafter.

  • This study showed a way to develop web site of shopping mall through systematic identification of the interface elements affecting user's performance and subjective sensibility for Internet shopping mall. To quantify the effects of factors, simulators were designed and used in experiments. It was shown that location of 'Table of Contents'(left > right = up = down) and 'Menu' type(non_Drop down and page Movement = Drop down and page Movement > Drop down and non_age Movement) were the significant factors. However, whether 'Frame' was used or not, there was no significant difference. Also, in the evaluation of subjective sensibility, 'Background color' was a significant factor. And for 'Header & Scanning Column color', yellow color had a tendency to enhance satisfaction for 'simplicity', while green or blue color strengthened 'balance' feeling. But 'text style' was not significant.

  • We present development results for a Hangul thesaurus which was provided to improve performance of the intelligent information retrieval system. The important stages and methods in the process of term acquisition, classification, creation of the consistency-effectiveness relationship using HiTEL menu and text of dictionary are described. To cany out our study we have built a thesaurus management system and also describe its utility functions.

  • According to a long-term master plan for the implementing of MOMAF's marine environmental informatization, we have developed marine environment portal web site which consists of 7 main-menu and 39 sub-menu including various types of contents (text, image and multimedia) based on RDBMS. This portal site was opened in Oct., 2002 (http://www.meps.info). Also, for the national institutions' distributed DB which is archived and managed respectively the marine chemical data and biological data, the integrated retrieval system was developed. This system is meaningful for the making collaborative use of real data and could be applied for data mining, marine research, marine environmental GIS and making-decisions.

A Study on the Copyright Contents of Medical Library Web Site (국내 의과대학도서관 웹사이트에 나타난 저작권관련사항에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to induce a librarian to construct databases lawfully and the user with a copyright and the fair use. Based on information from web sites, the domestic medical libraries(32) were investigated for analyzing how to deal with copyright problems. The results show that only 28% of the medical libraries provide users with information on copyright at their web site. The terminology used was different among libraries. 44.4% of the libraries use 'copyright law' and 33.3% 'copyright' The terminology appeared at the 'notice' menu and 'library guidance' menu. The detail part of copyright contents was shown at 'the data copy and transmission', 'full text DB use', 'thesis and dissertation service', 'FAX/file transfer', 'Image(Ariel)', and 'interlibrary loan'. In general, there was a necessity to the correct understanding of the copyright and fair use.
