Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 치환에 따른 저온소결 Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Zr1/2Ti1/2)O3 세라믹스의 압전 및 유전 특성 (Piezoelectric and Dielectric Characteristics of Low Temperature Sintering Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Zr1/2Ti1/2)O3 Ceramics according toPb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 Substitution)

  • In this study, in order to develop the multilayer piezoelectric actuator and ultrasonic resonator, PMN-PNN-PZT ceramics were fabricated by sintering with $Li_2CO_3-Na_2CO_3$ as sintering aids at $950^{\circ}C$ and their piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated as a function of PNN substitution. With increasing PNN substitution, dielectric constant(${\epsilon}_r$), electromechanical coupling factor(kp), and piezoelectric d constant($d_{33}$) were increased to $12 mol\%$ PNN substitution and then showed a tendency to decrease rapidly With increasing PNN substitution, crystal structure changed from tetragonal to rhombohedral at $12 mol\%$ PNN substitution and then secondary phase was appeared and its intensity was increased. At the $12 mol\%$ PNN substituted PMN-PZT composition ceramic sintered at $950^{\circ}C$, density, kp, $d_{33}$ and Qm showed the optimum value of $7.79 g/cm^3$, 0.599, 419 pC/N, and 894, respectively for multilayer piezoelectric actuator application.

나노세공 Zirconia의 합성 및 특성평가 (Synthesis and Characterization of Nanoporous Zirconia)

  • Zirconia powders with nano size pores and high specific surface areas were synthesized via aqueous precipitation and hydrothermal synthetic method using $ZrOCl_28H_2O$ and $NH_4OH$ under pH=11 and ambient condition. By this reaction. zirconia hydrate $(ZrO_x(OH)_{4-2x})$ was primarily synthesized and the obtained zirconia hydrate was heat treated hydrothermally using an autoclave at various temperatures under pH=11. X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy, Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, FT-IR, Raman, Particle size analysis, DTA-TG, and BET techniques were used for the characterization of the powder. The synthesized zirconia showed an amorphous phase, however, the phase was transformed to the crystalline state during the hydrothermal process. The observed crystalline phase above $160^{\circ}C$ was a mixed phase of monoclinic and tetragonal zirconia. By the BET analysis, it was found that the specific surface area was ranged in $126{\sim}276m^2/g$ and the zirconia had the cylindrical shaped pores with average diameter of $2{\sim}7nm$.

최적 수열합성 조건을 이용한 PSZT 분말 제조 (Preparation of PSZT powders using the optimum hydrothermal synthesis)

  • 150~$190^{\circ}C$에서 2시간 동안의 수열반응을 통해 입방체 모양을 갖는 0.5~5 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 ($Pb_{0.95}Sr_{0.05})(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ 결정분말을 제조하였다. 실험결과 반응온도가 증가함에 따라 PSZT의 핵생성과 결정성장 속도가 빨라져서 평균입경이 커짐을 알 수 있었다. 광화제로 사용한 KOH의 농도를 증가시켜 평균입경이 작고 입도분포의 폭이 좁은 분말을 얻을 수 있었으며 결정화가 일어나는 반응온도를 낮출 수 있었다. Zr/Ti의 조성비가 0.40/0.60에서 0.60/0.40으로 증가함에 따라 PSZT의 주요 결정상은 정방정의 결정상에서 능면정의 결정상으로 전이되었다.

RF Power에 따른 PZT/BST 이종층 박막의 구조 및 유전 특성 (The Structural and Dielectric Properties of the PZT/BST Heterolayered Thin Films with RF Power)

  • The Pb(Zr/sub 0.52/Ti/sub 0.48/)O₃/(Ba/sub 0.6/Sr/sub 0.4/)TiO₃[PZT/BST] heterolayered thin films were deposited on Pt/Ti/SiO₂/Si substrates by using the RF sputtering method with different RF power. The PZT/BST heterolayered thin films had the tetragonal structure of the PZT phase and BST phase. Increasing the RF power. the intensity of the PZT (100), (110) peaks and BST (111) peaks were decreased and the intensity of the BST (100), (110) peaks were increased. The thickness ratio of the top layered BST thin film and the bottom layered PZT thin film was 2 to1. The atomic concentration of the Ba, Sr, Pb. Zr, Ti atoms were constant in the PZT thin films and BST thin films, respectively. The Pt atom was diffused to the PZT region in the PZT/BST heterolayered thin films deposited at condition of 60[W] RF power. Increasing the frequency, dielectric constant and loss of the PZT/BST heterolayered thin films were decreased. The dielectric constant and loss of the PZT/BST heterolayered thin films deposited with RF power of 90[W] were 406 and 3%, respectively.

Sinterability of Low-Cost 3Y-ZrO2 Powder and Mechanical Properties of the Sintered Body

  • This study investigated the effects of grain size and phase constitution on the mechanical properties of $3Y-ZrO_2$ by varying the sintering conditions. The raw powder prepared by a low-cost wet milling using the coarse solid oxide powders was sintered by both pressureless sintering and hot-pressing, respectively. As increasing holding time at $1450^{\circ}C$ for pressureless sintering, it promoted the microstructural coarsening of matrix grains and the phase transformation to tetragonal phase, whereas the bimodal microstructure embedded with abnormal $cubic-ZrO_2$ grains was observed regardless of sintering time. On the other hand, the specimens hot-pressed at $1300^{\circ}C$ for 2 h reached ~ 97% of relative density with homogeneous fine microstructure and mixed phase constitution. It was found that the proportion of untransformed monoclinic zirconia had the most adverse effect on the biaxial strength compared to the impacts of grain size and density. The pressureless sintering of the low-cost powder for prolonged sintering time to 8 h led to a decent combination of mechanical properties ($H_V=13.2GPa$, $K_{IC}=8.16MPa{\cdot}m^{1/2}$, ${\sigma}=981MPa$).

단분산 PZT 미분체의 합성 및 소결 거동 (Synthesis and Sintering Characteristics of Monodispersed PZT Fine Particles)

  • Monodispersed PZT fine particles were obtained from the condition which 0.2Pb (OC3H7)2/EtOH, 0.108Zr(OC4H9)4/EtOH and 0.092 Ti (OC2H5)4/EtOH were refluxed for 5 hrs at 76$^{\circ}C$ and hydrolyzed with 0.1-0.4 H2O/EtOH. The monodispersed particle was amorphous and crystallized to the tetragonal PZT phase when heated at $600^{\circ}C$. Particle size was about 0.55${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in 0.3 H2O/EtOH and 0.3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in other cases. Relative density of sintered body at 90$0^{\circ}C$ and 100$0^{\circ}C$ was 93.5% and 98%, respectively.

이소프로판올의 탈수반응에서 지르코니아 촉매의 결정상에 따른 영향 (The Effect of the Crystalline Phase of Zirconia for the Dehydration of Iso-propanol)

  • 염화 지르코니움산화물을 수용액상하에 $100^{\circ}C$에서 다양한 숙성 시간 동안 환류시켜 지르코니움 수화물을 제조하였고 결정성 $ZrO_2$를 얻기 위하여 $700^{\circ}C$에서 6시간 소성하였다. 제조된 물질의 특성분석을 위하여 시차 열분석, X-선회절 분석, 비표면적과 세공분포 측정, 투과 전자 현미경 분석, 암모니아 승온 탈착 분석, 이산화탄소 승온 탈착 분석 그리고 이소프로판올 승온 탈착 분석을 수행하였다. 24시간 숙성시키고 $700^{\circ}C$에서 소성 후 순수한 정방형계 지르코니아만을 얻을 수 있었다. 숙성시간 증가는 상대적으로 더 작은 입자, 고비표면적 및 고 기공부피의 지르코니아를 제조할 수 있었다. 지르코니아의 숙성 시간이 길어질수록 흡착된 암모니아의 양이 상대적으로 증가하는 경향을 보였고 상대적으로 흡착된 이산화탄소의 양은 감소하였다. 지르코니아 촉매상에서 프로필렌을 생성하는 이소프로판올 탈수 반응에서 촉매 활성은 168시간 동안 숙성하여 제조한 지르코니아 촉매가 가장 좋은 활성이 나타냈다. 이러한 촉매활성은 촉매의 비표면적, 산점, 상대적으로 용이한 프로판올의 탈착과 연관시킬 수 있었다.

PZT 세라믹스에 있어서 길이진동모드의 경시변화 (Aging of Length-Extensional Vibration Modes in PZT Ceramics)

  • Aging stabilities of the operating frequency of piezoelectric devices such as filter, oscillator and discriminator are very important. In this study it was studied aging stabilities of the length-extensional vibration mode of Pb(Zr$\^$y/O$_3$+ x[wt%]Cr$_2$Co$_3$ ceramics. PZT ceramics in morphotropic phase boundary have higher aging rates of k$\_$31/ and resonance frequency than those in tetragonal phase or rhombohedral phase. Thermal aging moves the composition with maximum aging rate to Zr-rich side in Cr$_2$O$_3$ not added PZT system. In the PZT system, aging rates of k$\_$31/ and resonance frequency for first 30 days are bigger than those for the following 90 days. Thermal aging decrease those for first 30 days. Aging rate of resonance frequency of the ceramics with x=0.1, y=0.53 and x=0.3, y=0.53 increased by thermal aging.

11층 열장벽 피막의 고온물성에 관한 연구 (A study on the thermal properties of the 11 layer thermal barrier)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the properties of the functional gradient thermal barrier coatings by plasma spray process. The evaluations of mechanical and thermal properties such as fatigue, oxidation and wear-resistance at high temperatures have been conducted. Furthermore, residual stress and bond strength have been evaluated. The range of thickness of coated layers was 550~600$\mu\textrm{m}$. The range of hardness of layers was 800~900 Hv and the porosity range of coatings was about 7 to 14%. The top coating layer of $ZrO_2$ in thermal barrier was composed of tetragonal structure after spraying. The coated layers of $ZrO_2$ on the Inconel substrate is the best resistance for thermal fatigue. Those coatings had the least compressive stress in comparison with other coatings. In high temperature oxidation test, the coatings on Inconel substrate was better than the coatings on SUS substrate. The bond strength of the concave type was greater than that of linear types and convex types coatings.

  • PZT powder was prepared by partial oxalate method using $(Zr_{0.53}Ti_{0.47})O_2$, $Pb(NO_3)_2$ and $(COOH)_2{\cdot}2H_2O$ as a precipitant. $Nb_2O_5$ additive effect on microstructure and piezoelectric properties of PZT ceramics were investigated. The coexistence of rhombohedral and tetragonal phases of PZT ceramics at the sintering temperature of $1100^{\circ}C$ was revealed from the X-ray diffraction patterns. The grain size PZT ceramics was decreased with the increase $Nb^{5+}$. and the sinterbility of PZT ceramics was decreased with the increase $Nb^{5+}$ addition. The electromechanical coupling factors $K_p$ show above 0.60 at $1100^{\circ}C$ sintering temperature by $Nb_2O_5$ addition above 0.6mol%.
