  • We propose a software-reliability growth model incoporating the amount of testing effort expended during the software testing phase. The time-dependent behavior of testing effort expenditures is described by a Weibull curve. Assuming that the error detection rate to the amount of testing effort spent during the testing phase is proportional to the current error content, a software-reliability growth model is formulated by a nonhomogeneous Poisson process. Using this model the method of data analysis for software reliability measurement is developed. After defining a software reliability, we discuss the relations between testing time and reliability and between duration following failure fixing and reliability are studied in this paper. The release time making the testing cost to be minimum is determined through studying the cost for each condition. Also, the release time is determined depending on the conditions of the specified reliability. The optimum release time is determined by simultaneously studying optimum release time issue that determines both the cost related time and the specified reliability related time.

  • I compare my parameter estimation methodoloay with existing method, considering both of testing effort and fault detecting rate simultaneously in software reliability modeling. Generally speaking, fault detection/removal mechanism depends on how apply previous fault detection/removal and testing effort of S/W. The fault removal efficiency makes large influence to the reliability growth, testing and removal cost in developing stage S/W. This is very useful measure during all the developing stages and much helpful for the developer to estimate debugging efficiency, and furthermore, to anticipate additional working amount.

  • We propose a software-reliability growth model incoporating the amount of uniform and Weibull testing efforts during the software testing phase in this paper. The time-dependent behavior of testing effort is described by uniform and Weibull curves. Assuming that the error detection rate to the amount of testing effort spent during the testing phase is proportional to the current error content, the model is formulated by a nonhomogeneous Poisson process. Using this model the method of data analysis for software reliability measurement is developed. The optimum release time is determined by considering how the initial reliability R(x|0) would be. The conditions are $R(x|0)>R_o$, $R_o>R(x|0)>R_o^d$ and $R(x|0)<R_o^d$ for uniform testing efforts. Ideal case is $R_o>R(x|0)>R_o^d$. Likewise, it is $R(x|0){\geq}R_o$, $R_o>R(x|0)>R_o^{\frac{1}{g}$ and $R(x\mid0)<R_o^{\frac{1}{g}}$ for Weibull testing efforts. Ideal case is $R_o>R(x|0)>R_o^{\frac{1}{g}}$.

  • AUTOSAR, a standard software platform for automotive, has been developed to manage software complexity and improve software reuseability. However Automated and standardized testing is needed to improve reliability and reduce time and effort on testing. Fundamental functionality of AUTOSAR RTE and basic software modules is guaranteed by using an AUTOSAR tool, but application software components have to be tested thoroughly. In this paper, we suggest a test system for the AUTOSAR software component using TTCN-3, a standardized testing language. Test execution system and test cases for the software component are generated automatically from AUTOSAR XML containing software design information. With the proposed testing techniques we can reduce time and effort to build the testing system.

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the test-retest reliability of heart rate (HR) and velocity measurements during peak effort and free treadmill walking tests in older patients with gait-impaired chronic hemiparetic stroke and control group. Twenty-two adults (13 men, 9 women; mean age, $73.7{\pm}5.2$ yrs) with chronic hemiparetic stroke are the experimental group. Nineteen elderly people (5 men, 14 women; mean age, $72.3{\pm}3.5$ yrs) were recruited as control group. Patients had mild to moderate chronic hemiparetic gait deficits, making handrail support necessary during treadmill walking. Free and peak effort treadmill walking tests were measured and then repeated at least two days later. Reliability was calculated from HR and walking velocity during free and peak effort treadmill walking test. Among the people who had strokes, HR [ICC(2,1)=.85, r=.86] and velocity [ICC(2,1)=.93, r=.93] were good parameters during free testing. Maximal testing generated good results for HR [ICC(2,1)=.81, r=.82] and velocity [ICC(2,1)=.96, r=.96] with the chronic hemiparetic stroke. In elderly people, HR [ICC(2,1)=.59, r=.62] and velocity [ICC(2,1)=.77, r=.76] were moderately reliable during free testing. Maximal testing produced moderate parameters for HR [ICC(2,1)=.74, r=.74] and velocity [ICC(2,1)=.66, r=.66] in the elderly. This study provides that free and maximal treadmill testing produce highly reliable HR and velocity measurements in adults with chronic hemiplegia using minimal handrail support.

  • Weibull distribution Iincluding Rayleigh and Exponential distribution is a typical model to estimate the effort distribution which is committed to the software testing phase. This model does not represent standpoint that many efforts are committed actually at the test beginning point. Moreover, it does not properly represent the various distribution form of actual test effort. To solve these problems, this paper proposes the Sigmoid model. The sigmoid function to be applicable in neural network transformed into the function which properly represents the test effort of software in the model. The model was verified to the six test effort data which were got from actual software projects which have various distribution form and verified the suitability. The Sigmoid model nay be selected by the alternative of Weibull model to estimate software test effort because it is superior than the Weibull model.

  • In this paper we studied English listening and speaking test part of foreign language using web and VoiceXML-based education testing system, which is irrespective of time and space. The testing system interface based on VoiceXML consists of user registration module, testing module, and testing result module. User registration module registers user's name and ID, password in user database, and when a tester calls for testing, the User listens to the telephone sound supported by vxml scenario. After that, if a tester logs in, the tester is verified, In the VoiceXML-based education testing system, the manager can reduce time and effort for gaining testing result. • As we know every software development process is pretty large and consists of different modules. This raises the idea of prioritizing different software modules so that important modules can be tested by preference. In the software testing process, it is not possible to test each and every module regressively, which is due to time and cost constraints. To deal with these constraints, this paper proposes an approach that is based on the fuzzy multi-criteria approach for prioritizing several software modules and calculates optimal time and cost for software testing by using fuzzy logic and the fault tolerance approach.

  • Most of the proposed SRGMs are required to perfect debugging based on removal of defect as soon as the detection of defects in system tests. But the detected defects are corrected after few days as a fixed time or induced new fault in software under the imperfect debugging environments. Solving these problems, we discussed that the formal software reliability model considered testing-effort for the fault detection and correction of software defects, and then using this model we have estimated of the software reliability closed to practical conditions.

  • Recently a standard software platform for automotive, AUTOSAR, has been developed to manage growing software complexity and improve software reuseability. However reuse of testing system and test data are difficult because they are dependant on implementation language and testing phases. In this paper, we suggest a automated testing approach for AUTOSAR software component using a standardized testing language, TTCN-3. AUTOSAR defines the AUTOSAR XML Schema for the data exchange format so that it is possible to automatically convert AUTOSAR model into TTCN-3 testing model. Therefore our approach is to present generation techniques for the TTCN-3 testing system from a AUTOSAR XML description. With the proposed testing techniques we can reduce time and effort to build the testing system and reuse testing environment.
