가진 시험 방법을 활용한 자동차 도어 플레이트 모듈 슬램 내구 평가 (Evaluation on Slam Resistance of Door Plate Module Using Vibration Testing Method)

  • Slam testing is a mandatory testing process to evaluate the fatigue resistance of a door plate module before delivering it to car makers. This process is very hard job to complete it since the testing facilities are considerably expensive and the required testing time is relatively very long, i.e. more than eight days for a single specimen. In this paper, an accelerated testing method of a door plate module is proposed using vibration test equipment instead of the current one by exposing to the critical excitation of a door glass. Under the proposed excitation method, the similar testing result can be evaluated within less than two hours. The suitability of the proposed testing method was demonstrated by comparing failure modes of both the current testing method and the proposed one.

Non-destructive Evaluation Method for Service Lifetime of Chloroprene Rubber Compound Using Hardness

  • Evaluating service lives of rubber materials at certain temperatures requires a destructive method (typically using elongation at break). In this study, a non-destructive method based on hardness change rate was proposed for evaluating the service life of chloroprene rubber (CR). Compared to the destructive method, this non-destructive method ensures homogeneity of CR specimens and requires a small number of samples. Thermal accelerated degradation test was conducted on the CR specimens at 55, 70, 85, 100, and 125℃, and the tensile strength, elongation at break, and hardness were measured. The results of the experiment were compared to those of the accelerated life evaluation method proposed in this study. Comparing the analyzed lives in the high temperature region (70, 85, 100, and 125℃), the difference between the service lives for the destructive method (using the elongation at break) and non-destructive method (using the hardness) was approximately 0.1 year. Therefore, it was confirmed that the proposed non-destructive evaluation method based on hardness changes can evaluate the actual life of CR under thermally accelerated degradation conditions.

  • 본 연구는 데이터 품질 평가란 관점에서 현재 진행되어지고 있는 국제 표준 ISO/IEC 25000시리즈인 SQuaRE(Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation) 프로젝트 중에서도 ISO/IEC 25012의 데이터 품질 평가 모델에 대한 연구이다. 데이터의 양이 많아지면서 사용자 관점에서는 정확한 데이터, 최신의 데이터, 사용하는 도구에 적합한 데이터, 보안성과 비 공개성을 준수할 수 있는 데이터를 원한다. 저 품질의 데이터가 비즈니스에 미치는 영향을 평가하여 실제적으로 적용할 수 있는 관점에서 데이터 품질 관리에 대한 것을 연구한다. 이러한 관점에서 데이터에 대한 품질을 평가할 수 있는 평가항목을 제시하고 제시된 평가항목의 평가 방안에 대해서 제시한다. 본 연구는 현재 진행되어지고 있는 ISO/IEC 25012의 표준문서와 소프트웨어 품질관리 표준문서 ISO/IEC 9126-2를 기초로 하여 연구되었으며 현재 진행되어지고 있는 소프트웨어 품질평가 모델 ISO/IEC 2500을 기반으로 하여 데이터 품질을 정량적으로 평가하는 방안을 제시한다.

  • Several synthetic testing methods have widely been used for the performance evaluation of ultra high-voltage circuit breaker. Among these synthetic method, in the paper, capacitance switching testing method which can meet the test requirements and increase the testing capacity has been proposed. This method is made up of two separated sources of short-circuit generator for current source and L-C resonance circuit for voltage source. By using this method, KERI will perform the performance evaluation of capacitive current switching performance for the 800kV GCB(Gas Circuit Breaker).

Phototoxicity Evaluation of Pharmaceutical Substances with a Reactive Oxygen Species Assay Using Ultraviolet A

  • With ultraviolet and visible light exposure, some pharmaceutical substances applied systemically or topically may cause phototoxic skin irritation. The major factor in phototoxicity is the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) such as singlet oxygen and superoxide anion that cause oxidative damage to DNA, lipids and proteins. Thus, measuring the generation of ROS can predict the phototoxic potential of a given substance indirectly. For this reason, a standard ROS assay (ROS assay) was developed and validated and provides an alternative method for phototoxicity evaluation. However, negative substances are over-predicted by the assay. Except for ultraviolet A (UVA), other UV ranges are not a major factor in causing phototoxicity and may lead to incorrect labeling of some non-phototoxic substances as being phototoxic in the ROS assay when using a solar simulator. A UVA stimulator is also widely used to evaluate phototoxicity in various test substances. Consequently, we identified the applicability of a UVA simulator to the ROS assay for photoreactivity. In this study, we tested 60 pharmaceutical substances including 50 phototoxins and 10 non-phototoxins to predict their phototoxic potential via the ROS assay with a UVA simulator. Following the ROS protocol, all test substances were dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide or sodium phosphate buffer. The final concentration of the test solutions in the reaction mixture was 20 to $200{\mu}M$. The exposure was with $2.0{\sim}2.2mW/cm^2$ irradiance and optimization for a relevant dose of UVA was performed. The generation of ROS was compared before and after UVA exposure and was measured by a microplate spectrophotometer. Sensitivity and specificity values were 85.7% and 100.0% respectively, and the accuracy was 88.1%. From this analysis, the ROS assay with a UVA simulator is suitable for testing the photoreactivity and estimating the phototoxic potential of various test pharmaceutical substances.

  • Durability performance evaluation technology using Virtual Testing Method is a new concept of a vehicle design, which can reduce the automotive components design period and cost. In this paper, the fatigue life of an aluminum knuckle of a passenger car is evaluated using virtual testing method. The flexible multibody dynamic model of a front half car module is generated and solved with service loads which are measured from Belgian roads. Using a multibody dynamic analysis software, the flexible multibody dynamic simulation of a half car model is carried out and the dynamic stress profile of an aluminum knuckle is acquired. The stress profile is exported to a fatigue analysis software and durability performance of an aluminum knuckle is evaluated.

  • 소프트웨어 품질 평가와 관련하여 국제 표준에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되어지고 있다. 소프트웨어 품질은 사용자와 개발자에 있어서 더욱더 중요해 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 첫째, 소프트웨어 품질을 객관적이고 정량적으로 평가하기 위해서 소프트웨어 품질 평가에 대한 국내외 표준 동향을 조사 연구 한다. 둘째, 소프트웨어 품질 평가를 위한 국내외 표준의 새로운 연구 방향에 대해서 제시하고 셋째, 소프트웨어 품질 평가 중 신뢰성 분야에 대한 평가 방안을 소프트웨어 신뢰성 성장 모델에 적용하여 평가할 수 있도록 제시한다. 넷째, 소프트웨어 품질 평가 국제 표준의 보급 방안에 대해서 연구하고 다섯째, 소프트웨어 품질 평가와 관련해서 ISO/IEC 9126과 ISO/IEC 25000 시리즈의 소프트웨어 품질 평가 국제 표준 내용을 통한 적용방안에 대해서 연구한다.

  • Two different types of nondestructive evaluation (NDE) techniques were employed to investigate the tensile behavior of ceramic matrix composites (CMCs). Two NDE methods, ultrasonic testing (UT) and infrared (IR) thermography, were used to assess defects and/or damage evolution before and during mechanical testing. Prior to tensile testing, a UTC-scan and a xenon flash method were performed to obtain initial defect information in light of UT C-scans and thermal diffusivity maps, respectively. An IR camera was used for in-situ monitoring of progressive damages. The IR camera measured temperature changes during tensile testing. This paper has presented the feasibility of using NDE techniques to interpret structural performance of CMCs.

  • Application of bonding by adhesives can be found in many industries, particularly in advanced technological domains such as aeronautical and space, automobile and electronics industries. Periodic inspection with conventional ultrasonic NDE techniques is capable of indicating the presence and possible location of crack. Continuous ultrasonic attenuation monitoring has potential to supply information. This article discusses the use of pulse-echo ultrasonic testing for the inspection of adhesive bonds between metal sheets. The method is based on the measurement of the reflection coefficient at the metal/adhesive interface. By means of a control experiment it is shown that Quantitative Nondestructive Evaluation in Adhesive Joints are evaluated together with Ultrasonic Testing and Fracture Testing.

  • This paper presents the integrity evaluation method of the windings in cast resin transformers using vertical thermal distribution analysis. The method is to compare the temperature distribution in a sound condition specimen with that in the failure condition specimen layer-shorted by accelerated testing. The temperature distribution was acquisited by a infrared thermography system, and the Arrhenius equation was adopted to the accelerated testing. The proposed method may be available to detect the failures in cast resin transformers.
