Influence of e-HRM and Human Resources Service Quality on Employee Performance

  • This study aims to analyze the relationship of e-HRM implementation to employee performance both directly and indirectly through the intervening of the Human Resource service Quality variable, both practically and theoretically. This study uses variance-based structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques with partial least square (PLS) statistical testing tools to test the direct relationship of e-HRM and the performance and relationship moderated by Human Resources service quality tested on 200 civil servants in five offices under the coordination of the Government of the South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. The data collection model in this study uses an online survey. The data analysis stages through the explanatory concept consist of, first, the interpretation of the distribution of the average frequency of respondents' answers; second, outer-loading; third, determination of the validity and reliability; fourth, the coefficient of determination test and partial test; fifth, the GoF model; sixth, validity test; and seventh, hypothesis testing. This study explores four hypotheses in a comprehensive fashion; the results of this study show that all hypotheses have positive and significant effects both through direct and intervening relationships. Among the three direct relationships, the relationship of e-HRM variables on HR Service Quality is greatest and most dominant.

Exploring Supervisor-Related Job Resources as Mediators between Supervisor Conflict and Job Attitudes in Hospital Employees

  • Background: Conservation of resources theory assumes loss of resources as a cause of job strain. In hospital work, conflicts with supervisors are tested to predict lower resources, that is, supervisory social support, participation possibilities, and appreciation. All three resources are expected to predict, in turn, experienced stress (job strain) and lower job satisfaction, lower affective commitment, and a higher resigned attitude towards the job (job attitudes). Methods: The sample included 1,073 employees from 14 Swiss hospitals (n = 604 nurses, n = 81 physicians, n = 135 medical therapists, and n = 253 technical and administrative staff). Of the total sample, 83.1% were female and 38.9% worked full-time. The median tenure was between 7 years and 10 years. Constructs were assessed by online questionnaires. Structural equation modeling was used to test mediation. Results: Structural equation modeling confirmed the negative association of conflict with supervisors and job resources. Tests of indirect paths to resources as a link between conflicts with supervisors and job attitudes were significant. For nurses, social support, participation and appreciation showed a significant indirect path, while among medical technicians the indirect paths included social support and appreciation, and among physicians only appreciation showed a significant indirect path. In medical therapists no indirect path was significant. Job resources did not mediate the link between conflict with supervisors and stress in any occupational group. Conclusion: Conflicts with supervisors are likely to reduce job resources and in turn to lower job attitudes. Work design in hospitals should, therefore, address interpersonal working conditions and conflict management in leadership development.

적분방정식 기반의 3차원 모델링을 이용한 소형 루프형 해양 전자탐사 자료의 반응 분석 (Response Analysis of Data Acquired by Marine Loop Electromagnetic System Using Three-Dimensional Modeling Based on Integral Equation)

  • 심해탐사를 위해 새롭게 개발된 소형 루프형 해양 전자탐사 시스템의 실해역 실험 결과의 반응 양상을 적분방정식 기반의 3차원 모델링을 통하여 분석하였다. 수심 약 300 m 해저환경에서 획득한 금속 이상체의 전자기 반응 양상에 대한 영향인자를 분석하기 위해 이상체의 크기와 모양을 다르게 설정하여 모델링을 수행하였다. 모델링 결과 분석을 통하여 이상체의 모양이 크기보다 반응 양상에 더 큰 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였다. 탐사고도와 주파수에 따른 반응값 변화를 알아보기 위해 모델링을 수행하였고 이를 통해 일정한 탐사 고도 유지의 필요성과 주파수 대역에 따른 허수부의 민감도를 확인하였다. 또한 탐사 고도와 주파수에 따른 반응값을 단면 그래프로 나타내어 시스템에 사용되는 주파수 대역에 대한 적절한 탐사고도를 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 결과는 해저 열수광상 실해역 탐사 설계 시 매개변수 설정에 있어 유용한 정보를 줄 것으로 예상된다.

Assessing the capability of HEC-RAS coupled 1D-2D model through comparison with 2-dimensional flood models

  • Recent studies show the possibility of more frequent extreme events as a result of the changing climate. These weather extremes, such as excessive rainfall, result to debris flow, river overflow and urban flooding, which post a substantial threat to the community. Therefore, an effective flood model is a crucial tool in flood disaster mitigation. In recent years, a number of flood models has been established; however, the major challenge in developing effective and accurate inundation models is the inconvenience of running multiple models for separate conditions. Among the solutions in recent researches is the development of the combined 1D-2D flood modeling. The coupled 1D-2D river flood modeling allows channel flows to be represented in 1D and the overbank flow to be modeled over two-dimension. To test the efficiency of this approach, this research aims to assess the capability of HEC-RAS model's implementation of the combined 1D-2D hydraulic simulation of river overflow inundation, and compare with the results of GERIS and FLUMENS 2D flood model. Results show similar output to the flood models that had used different methods. This proves the applicability of the HEC-RAS 1D-2D coupling method as a powerful tool in simulating accurate inundation for flood events.

실규모 굴착 시험장에서의 시간경과 물리탐사 자료 분석 (Time-lapse Geophysical Survey Analysis for Field-scale Test bed of Excavation Construction)

  • 굴착공사 중 발생할 수 있는 지반함몰 사고를 방지하기 위해 굴착공사 주변 지층변화를 분석하고 모니터링하는 탐사기법과 기술이 필요함에 따라 다양한 탐사기술들을 적용, 보완함으로써 해석 기법을 향상시키는 것이 요구된다. 이 연구에서는 굴착공사 중 발생할 수 있는 지반침하 위험요소와 굴착, 지하수 등에 의한 이완영역을 탐지하기 위한 실규모 현장 실험을 실시하였다. 현장 실험을 수행하기 위해 실규모 굴착현장 테스트베드를 구축하고, 도심지 현장을 고려한 탐사법 중 전기비저항 탐사, 다중채널분석표면파탐사를 활용, 각 개별탐사의 적용 유효성 검토 및 모델링을 이용한 최적 탐사변수 도출과 설계, 탐사결과의 상호연관성을 비교 해석하였다. 이 연구 결과, 각 탐사별로 이완영역에 대한 영향을 확인할 수 있었으며, 특히 전기비저항탐사를 이용해 지하수면 위치를 확인하고 굴착에 대한 영향 파악할 수 있었다. 추후 지하수의 영향을 고려한, 즉 굴착면을 고려한 모델링에 대해 추가 연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다.

관개배수 네트워크 시스템 구축을 위한 시계열자료의 모형화 (Modeling of Time Series for Irrigation and Drainage Networks System)

  • The goal of this research is to apply the neural networks model for the disaggregation of the pan evaporation (PE) data, Republic of Korea. The neural networks model consists of recurrent neural networks model (RNNM). The disaggregation means that the yearly PE data divides into the monthly PE data. And, for the performances of the neural networks model, it is composed of training and test performances, respectively. The training and test performances consist of the historic, the generated, and the mixed data, respectively. From this research, we evaluate the impact of RNNM for the disaggregation of the nonlinear time series data. We should, furthermore, construct the credible data of the monthly PE from the disaggregation of the yearly PE data, and can suggest the methodology for the irrigation and drainage networks system.

DMZ일원 주요 자원의 보전에 대한 지불의사액 추정 연구: 응답자의 지리적 이질성에 대한 검증 (Conservation Values of Major Resources in the Korean DMZ and Its Vicinity)

  • 한국의 비무장지대(DMZ)일원은 남북한의 군사적 완충지대로서의 역할 외에도 중앙정부나 관련 지방정부, 그리고 국민 모두에게 중요한 대상으로 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 DMZ일원의 주요 자원들을 상징적 '비무장지대 내부 면적', '멸종위기종의 수(환경 생태자원 대표)', '판문점(안보 전적자원 대표)', '문화재', '민통선마을', '생태자원'으로 구분하고 초이스모델링 적용을 통해서 각각의 보전에 대한 지불의사액을 추정하였다. 더불어, 응답자들의 지리적 위치가 보전가치에 영향을 주는지를 검증하였다. 연구 결과에 의하면, 20세 이상의 성인 남녀는 1인당 평균 5만 5,000원 이상의 보전가치를 가지고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌고 국가적 총편익은 최소 2조 700억 원으로 계산되었다. 응답자들의 지역적 특성을 고려하였을 경우, 경기도와 강원도에서는 경기접경의 응답자들이 상대적으로 낮은 지불의사액(4만 9,500원)을, 그 외 6대 광역시는 가장 높은 지불의사액(5만 7,500원)을 가진 것으로 확인하였다.

코어레이와 MPI를 이용한 병렬 파동 전파 모델링과 거꿀 참반사 보정 성능 비교 (A Performance Comparison between Coarray and MPI for Parallel Wave Propagation Modeling and Reverse-time Migration)

  • 코어레이는 포트란 2008 표준에 도입된 병렬 연산 기법이다. 코어레이를 이용하면 간단한 문법으로 분산 메모리시스템에서 병렬 연산을 구현할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 탄성파 자료 처리 프로그램에 코어레이와 MPI를 적용하여 병렬 처리 성능을 비교하고 이를 통해 코어레이의 적용 가능성을 살펴보았다. 파동 전파 모델링을 이용해 연산 성능을 비교하였고, 영역 분해 기법을 이용해 일대일 통신 성능을 비교하였다. 또한 거꿀 참 반사 보정 프로그램을 이용해 병렬 처리 성능을 비교하였다. 그 결과 연산 성능은 코어레이 프로그램과 MPI 프로그램에서 큰 차이가 없었지만 통신 성능은 MPI가 우수했다.

Influences of Job Demands, Job Resources, Personal Resources, and Coworkers Support on Work Engagement and Creativity

  • Employee engagement plays an important role in the development as well as the success of a company. The manner in which employees are committed to their work and be more innovative seems to drive people's curiosity. This study aims to analyze the impacts of job demands-resources, personal resources, and coworker support on work engagement. Also, whether there is a relationship between work engagement and creativity of employees is tested through this research. The data served for the research was collected in the context of Vietnamese small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The authors used structural equation modeling (SEM) (software Smart PLS), to test the proposed hypotheses by using the data of 602 employees. Results of the study point out that proposed antecedents influence work engagement and creativity. Such findings have shed light on both theory and practice implications. In theory, it supports the social exchange theory and the job demands and resources model. In practice, leaders should assist subordinates in various aspects and build and promote a corporate culture where employees help others with great enthusiasm to increase the level of work engagement and spirit of innovation of employees.
