  • Model-based testing is a technique for performing the test by using a model that represents the behavior of the system as a system specification. Industrial domains such as automotive, military/aerospace, medical, railway and nuclear power generation require model-based testing and code coverage-based testing to improve the quality of software. Despite the fact that both model-based testing and code coverage-based testing are required, difficulty in achieving a high coverage using model-based testing caused by the abstraction level difference between the test model and the source code, results in the need for performing model-based testing separately. In this study, to overcome the limitations of the existing model-based testing, we proposed the state machine transformation method to effectively improve the code coverage using the protocol state machine, one of the typical modeling methods is used as the test model in model-based testing, as the test model. In addition, we performed a case study of both systems and analyzed the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • This paper proposes a modeling technique which is able to not only reliably and easily represent the hysteretic characteristics but also analyze the dynamic stress of a taper leaf spring. The flexible multi-body dynamic model of the taper leaf spring is developed by interfacing the finite element model and computation model of the taper leaf spring. Rigid dummy parts are attached at the places where a finite element leaf model is in contact with an adjacent one in order to apply contact model. Friction is defined in the contact model to represent the hysteretic phenomenon of the taper leaf spring. The test of the taper leaf spring is conducted for the validation of the reliability of the flexible multi-body dynamic model of the taper leaf spring developed in this paper. The test is started at an unloaded state with the excitation amplitude of $1{\sim}2mm/sec$ and frequency of 132 mm. First, the simulation is conducted with the same condition as the test. Then, the simulations are conducted with various amplitudes in a loaded state. The hysteretic diagram from the test is compared with the ones from the simulation for the validation of the reliability of the model. The dynamic stress analysis of the taper leaf spring is also conducted with the developed flexible multi-body dynamic model under a dynamic loading condition.

  • Power spectral density (PSD) model of irregularities for the maglev test track is presented. Track irregularities (gauge, cant, twist and vertical) were calculated from the survey data of sleepers on the test track. PSD model was constructed from the estimated PSDs of each track irregularities. Versine (gauge, cant, twist, vertical and lateral) of the track is obtained and their PSDs were estimated, too. Presented PSD model can be used for the analysis of levitation stability and ride quality of the maglev system.

  • Dynamic fatigue test is carried out using soil model box for the evaluation of performance of three different roadbed materials. Bearing capacity, settlement and mud pumping phenomenon of each roadbed materials as well as penetration of model ballast into the roadbeds are investigated. It was found that settlement of slag and crushed stone roadbed is smaller than the soil roadbed during dynamic fatigue test with same initial conditions.

  • In this study, differential settlements of adjacent structure and behaviour of ground during tunnel excavation and the effect of micropile installed to preserve differential settlement of structure are measured and analyzed by model test. In the test results, the effective range of reinforcement is suggested.

  • In this paper, we consider some approximate testings for the reliability of the stress-strength model when the stress X and strength Y each depends linearly on some explanatory variables z and w, respectively. We construct a bootstrap procedure for testing for various values of the reliability and compare the power of the bootstrap test with the test based on Mann-Whitney type estimator by Park et.al.(1996) for small and moderate sample size.

  • In order to assess the susceptibility of the environmentally assisted cracking(EAC) on SA508 Cl.3 steel in primary water condition, potential step test and slow strain rate test(SSRT) were conducted in a simulated crack tip condition. In this test, anodic dissolution was dominant in the crack tip environments. Proposed simple dissolution model is a modification of Hishida's anodic dissolution model at the plastic zone. One can predict actual crack growth rate with the smooth specimen through this model.

  • This paper presents three mathematical programming approaches to solving transshipment problems with interval supply and demand requirements. A linear goal programming model was developed based on the data obtained from a nationwide retail firm. Three mathematical programming model results were compared and analyzed, and three separate hypotheses were examined by using the Wilcoxon signed-ranked test for the model applicability. The test results were analyzed and interpreted for decision making.

  • Since the seminal work of Engle (1982), many researchers and practitioners have developed ARCH-type models to deal with volatility modelling, which, for instance, is crucial to perform the task of derivative pricing, measuring risk, and risk hedging. In this paper, we base the GARCH(1,1) model to analyze the KOSPI200 data, and perform the CUSUM test for detecting parameter changes in the GARCH model. It is shown that the data suffers from a parameter change.

  • In this study, we performed the recognition test on Korean vowel using peripheral auditory model. In addition, for the purpose of objective comparision, the recognition test is performed by extracting LPC cepstrum coefficients from the same data. And the same speech data are mixed with the Guaussian white noise quantitatively, then we repeated the same test, too. So we verified that this auditory model has a adaptability on noise.
