신장성 지오그리드 보강재의 포설길이에 따른 인발정수 (Pullout Parameter According to the Length of Spreading of Extensible Geogrid Reinforcement)

  • 보강토 구조물에서 흙과 보강재 상호작용은 접촉면 마찰저항 또는 보강재 인발저항에 의해 발생되며, 신장성 지오그리드 보강재의 인발정수를 측정하기 위하여 일반적으로 인발시험을 실시한다. 인발시험시 인발정수에 영향을 미치는 요소는 뒷채움재의 밀도, 보강재의 형상, 토피하중, 보강재의 포설길이 등이 있다. 본 연구에서는 인발시험시 합리적인 인발정수 산정을 위한 신장성 보강재의 포설길이를 제안하고자 인발시험을 실시하였으며, 보강재 포설길이는 각각 32cm, 52cm, 72cm, 100cm로 선정하였다. 인발시험결과 보강재 포설길이에 따른 인발정수의 영향을 분석하였으며, 인발시험에서 흙과 보강재사이의 마찰저항은 보강재 포설길이가 증가할수록 증가함을 확인하였다.

  • 시공이음부 발생에 따른 초고성능 콘크리트의 일체성을 확보하기 위해서는 그 특성을 수반함과 동시에 전단부착성능에 대한 정량적인 계면처리방법이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 이에, 본 연구는 초고성능 콘크리트 타설 시, 발생하는 시공이음부의 부착성능을 확보하기 위한 일환으로서 시공이음부 계면처리방법에 따른 전단부착성능 평가를 통하여 재료적인 측면에서의 합리적인 계면처리방법을 도출하고자 한다. 초고성능 콘크리트 배합은 180MPa의 배합강도를 사용하였으며, 계면처리방법으로는 MN, AC, GR-10-0, GR-20-0, GR-30-0, SH-30-5, SH-30-10으로써 총 7수준으로 설정하였다. 실험체는 $150{\times}150{\times}150mm$의 Size로 제작 후, 전단부착강도 평가를 위하여 Direct shear test를 실시하였다. 실험결과, 시공이음부 접합면에 대해 계면처리를 실시한 경우 부착성능이 향상되는 것을 확인하였으며, 접합부 단면적이 증가할수록 초고성능 콘크리트의 일체성 확보에 유리할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 콘크리트의 일체성을 확보하기 위해서는 접합면 단면적의 비율 및 요철의 깊이, 개수 등이 적절히 고려되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

비다짐 성토지반의 합리적 토량평가를 위한 토량환산계수 추정 (Estimation of Soil Conversion Factor for the Non-compacted Soil in Embankment)

  • 단지조성을 위한 성토과정에서 비다짐 시공은 별도의 다짐을 수행하지 않고 장비하중에 의해 다져지게 하는 공법으로 대부분의 현장에서 적용하고 있으나 구체적인 시공지침이나 시방에 명시되지 않아 토공량 평가에 불명확한 점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 단지조성을 위한 지반조성을 수행함에 있어 비다짐 성토지반에 대한 설계 토량환산계수와 실제 토량환산계수 값을 비교하여 타당성 여부를 검토하고 실내시험 및 현장시험, 하중-침하시험 등을 수행하여 합리적인 토량환산계수를 제안함으로써 현장에서의 토공 적정성을 검토하기 위한 기초연구이다. 비다짐 시 토량환산계수 C값은 1.0으로 설계하고 있으나, 현장실험결과 0.86으로 설계보다 작은 것으로 나타나 성토량이 증가될 것으로 예측되었으며, 시공결과 실제로 성토량에 차이가 발생하였다. 따라서 비다짐 성토의 경우 현장여건 및 성토고의 자중을 고려하여 현장조건에 적합한 C값을 실험을 통하여 적용하는 것이 타당할 것으로 판단된다.

Study on stability and design guidelines for the combined system of scaffolds and shores

  • Since the scaffold is composed of modular members, the total height of multi-story scaffolds does not often meet with the headroom of construction buildings. At this time, other supporting members need to be set up on the top of scaffolds. However, the mechanical behaviors of the combined system of scaffolds and other supporting members have seldom been discussed. This study explores the stability of the combined system of scaffolds and shores. The loading tests conducted in the laboratory show that the critical load of the combined system of two-story scaffolds and wooden shores is about half that of the three-story scaffold system with the same height. In the failure of both the "scaffold system" and the "combined system of scaffolds and shores' after loading, the deformation mainly occurs in the in-plane direction of the scaffold. The outdoor loading test shows that no failure occurs on any members when the combined system fails. Instead, the whole system buckles and then collapses. In addition, the top formwork of the combined system can achieve the effect of lateral support reinforcement with small lateral support forces in the outdoor loading test. This study proposes the preliminary design guidelines for the scaffolding structural design.

광탄성 응력측정을 위한 투과형 원형편광기 제작 및 시험 (Construction and Calibration Test of a Transmission-type Circular Polariscope for Photoelastic Stress Measurement)

  • This paper describes the construction of a circular polariscope. Generally, a circular polariscope contains four optical elements and a light source. The first element following the light source is called the linear polarizer. It converts the ordinary light into plane-polarized light. The second element is a quarter wave plate which converts the plane-polarized light into circularly polarized light. Following the quarter wave plate, a specimen made of transparent photoelastic material is located in a loading device. The second quarter wave plate is set and the last element is the analyzer. These polarizing elements, two quarter wave plates and two linear polarizing filters, were purchased from the USA. Frames and other structures for holding polarizing filters were machined and assembled to be rotated. Light box, which includes four incandescent lamps and two sodium-vapor lamps, was made. In order to proof the function of the newly built polariscope, Tardy compensation test was applied to a rectangular shaped specimen made of poly-carbonate material (PSM 1). The error of the fringe constant, which was measured by the newly built polariscope, was within 4.4 percent compared to the standard value of this material. It is possible to make a good quality of polariscope if accurate polarizing filters will be used.

  • Domestic ultra-hard road repair materials require a lot of time before the road can be opened to traffic. Therefore, in this study, Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) based road repair material was used to improve the above problems. Furthermore, the basic physical properties of MMA-based pavement repair materials are examined to confirm their suitability in concrete pavements. For this study, two types of MMA road repair materials (A type and B type) were selected. Then, the curing of the test specimens prepared for painting was carried out under three conditions. The experimental items were viscosity (drop time) and drying time (set to touch, dry-hard). As a result of the experiment, viscosity (drop time) was faster in type A than in type B. The drying time results were as follows. In the case of set ti touch, both type A and type B dried in about 10 minutes regardless of the curing conditions. In the case of dry-hard, regardless of the curing conditions, A type dried longer than B type, but it dried faster than conventional road repair materials. Therefore, within the scope of this study, it is considered that A type has a high potential for utilization as a road repair material.

  • This study was conducted to construct the soil bin system and associated microcomputer-based data acquisition system which is to be used for the effective evaluation of wheel performance. The soil bin system consists of four main parts; soil bin, carriage drive system, test carriage and soil processing carriage. The test carriage was constructed to measure the five performance parameters of testing wheels; pulling forte, motion resistance, sinkage and rotational speed of test wheel, and speed of test carriage. The test wheel is powered by a hydraulic system up to 8 ps. Soil processing carriage was designed to provide uniform test soil condition across the toil bin, and reproduction of soil conditions found satisfiable. The data acquisition system consists of APPLE II PLUS microcomputer, strain amplifier, I/O interface, A/D converter, digital counter and various transducers. It takes about 0.86 seconds to measure a set of performance parameters and store on the floppy disk simultaneously. Series of experiment showed that this system can be used effectively for evaluating the wheel performance associated with soil.

  • This study proposes a new method for the transmission system expansion planning using the fuzzy integer programming. It presents stepwise cost characteristics analysis which is a practical condition of an actual systems. A branch and bound method which includes the network flow method and the maximum flow-minimum cut set theorem has been used in order to proceed the stepwise cost characteristics analysis. Uncertainties of the permission of the construction cost and not strict reserve rate and load forecasting of expansion planning have been included and also processed using fuzzy set theory in this study. In order to proceed the latter analysis, the solving procedure is illustrated in detail by branch and bound method which includes the network flow method and maximum flow-minimum cut set theorem. Finally, case studies on 21-bus test system show that the algorithm proposed is efficiently applicable to the practical expansion planning of transmission systems in future.

  • 도심지에서 폭약을 사용한 굴착공법은 진동 소음 비산 등으로 인한 안전상의 문제로 사용상 많은 제약이 따르고 있다 이러한 이유로 암파쇄굴착공법 (건교부, 2003)에 주로 쓰이는 FINECKER Plus(미진동파쇄기)의 사용이 점차 늘어나고 있다. 따라서 본 사례연구에서는 도심지 현장에서 진동을 제어하기 위해 FINECKER Plus를 적용하고, 신제품 360g 1본(本)과 기존제품 180g 2본(本)의 비교시험과 함께 무진동공법과 병행하여 시공성을 비교하였다. 신제품 360g의 파쇄효율 및 소음 진동수준에서는 대등한 정도로, 작업시간이 32% 감소하여 시공성 면에서는 뛰어난 결과를 얻었다 또한, FINECKER Plus의 굴착량은 $64.2m^3/$일로 무진동공법에 비해 7.7배 정도의 뛰어난 시공성을 나타내었다

  • Porous concrete has large continuous voids of 20-30 % by volume, and this concrete is attractive as environmental material in Japan i.e. permeable road pavement, river bank protection with vegetation and green roof system which influence thermal environment. It is necessary to confirm the frost resistance when constructing porous concrete structure in cold region. However applicable test method and evaluation criterion of porous concrete has not defined yet. Therefore, the object of this study is to investigate the frost resistance of porous concrete and this investigation attempts to address this concern by comparing 4 kinds of specified freezing and thawing tests methods (JIS A1148 procedure A/B and RILEM CIF/CDF test) in consideration of actual environment. RILEM freeze-thaw tests are different from JIS A1148 freeze-thaw tests, which are widely adopted for evaluating the frost resistance of conventional concrete in Japan, in water absorption, cooling rate, length of freezing and thawing period, and number of freezing and thawing cycles. RILEM CIF test measures internal damage and is primarily applicable for pure frost attack. CDF test is appropriate for freeze-thaw and de-icing salt attack. JIS A1148 procedure A/B showed extremely low frost resistance of porous concrete if the large continuous voids were filled with water and the ice expansion in the large continuous voids set in during cooling. Frost resistance of porous concrete was improved by mixing coarse aggregate (G7) which particle size is smaller and fine aggregate in JIS freezing and thawing tests. RILEM CIF/CDF test showed that freeze-thaw and de-icing resistance of porous concrete was seems to be superior in that of conventional concrete.
