Field Test on IEC60364-4-44 for the Application in Korean distribution system (IEC60364-4-44의 국내 배전계통 적용을 위한 실증시험)

  • The authors have studied on the application of IEC 60364-4-44 to Korean electrical installations of buildings from 2004 sponsored by Korean ministry of commerce, industry and energy and the test field is established in K.E.R.I. (Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute). This paper presents the summary results of establishment of test field and analysis for the application of IEC 60364 in Korea. IEC 60364-4-44 provides rules for the protection against the effects of conducted and radiated disturbances on electrical installations. Especially this standard deals with the protection of low voltage facility against the ground fault in the high voltage side of power distribution system. Many countries define the regulations on the use and production of electrical facilities based on their own power system and technical references which are considered to be suitable for them. The background of circuit of IEC 60364-4-44 is based on the ungrounded system as most of European countries. However, since Korean electric power distribution system is based on multi-grounding system different from European system, it is necessary to evaluate or prove the effect of the IEC 60364-4-44 for introducing and applying it to the domestic grounding system as a Korean standard. This paper presents the establishment of test field to get background data to introduce the IEC 60364-4-44 and to evaluate the standard is applicable to domestic rule for the protection against ground fault through the related test

  • An evaluation of underwater - repair coating materials was based on the premise that defective areas of the existent epoxy coating such as blistering and cracking will be repaired on spot under submerged condition. Tests include the clarification as to whether they are compatible between as-built coating and new repair coating on each concrete specimen. Candidate coating materials for repair were tested in a laboratory to scrutinize their suitability to perform the needed function satisfactorily. The qualification tests performed are as a minimum as follows: Integrated radiation tolerance test, chemical resistance test (submerged condition in deionized water), hardness test and adhesion test of the repair materials. The proper repair coating materials were selected and approved from this test results.

  • To evaluate the genetic toxicity of NP-77A which is selected as the candidate of anti-HBV agent, we performed ames test, micronucleus test, and chromosome aberration test on the CHL cell in vitro. The Ames test was carried out with 5 fold diluted 5 concentrations from 25mg/plate using S. typhimurium and E.coli. After 48hrs incubation, revertant colony numbers was calculated with and without metabolic activation system. In vivo micronucleus test, we investigated the rate of the occurrence of micronucleus after I.P. administration to mice. Andalso, we observed the incidence rate of cells with chromosomal aberration by NP-77A treatment using CHL cell line.

  • In order to determine an operating pattern of SLIM in an experimental MAGLEV vehicle, operating characteristics of SLIM are obtained using a disk type test facility. The test results are compared with the pre-estimated values. It is found that a closed loop control is required for operating at a constant slip-frequency condition which makes the normal force minimum.

  • In recent years, Digital Social Innovation has been emerging at home and abroad and new solutions are being proposed by the perspective of User using digital technology in order to solve social and economic problems of the city. In addition, Living Labs which is an innovative tools and space enable to solve problems doing activities with various participants led by users. Therefore, this study aims to systematically manage the activities of Living Lab in Digital Social Innovation and improves the Living Lab sustainability using the performance indicators which are going to be developed. Furthermore, construct the appropriate indicator of each project process and take test at real Living Labs. As a result, performance indicator was derived from each procedure in the Living Lab project, and proved validity and reliability of the indicators through qualitative and quantitative methods by interviews and the questionnaire from the participants of Living Labs.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a methodology which can make effective test for system integration of complex guided missile system. System integration test play a significant role in the development of weapon system, providing the means to detect and isolate faults on first linkage between sub-systems. Integration tests for domestic weapon system has executed not a technology-intensive method based on tool but labor-intensive method based on experience. Higher cost, longer period, and more resource are required to execute system integration test for complex guided missile system comparing with past weapon systems, because recently weapon systems have more complex and more networked functions. Because the proposed design method for system integration test decreases number of test case, it lead to a decrease of cost, period, and resource for integration test of weapon system. The proposed configuration for system integration test will ensure reliability through detection and isolation of fault on linkage between sub-systems.

Fabrication of Test Panel for AMOLED driven by Pentacene TFTs

  • In this paper we fabricated a test panel for AMOLED on glass and PET substrate. The test panel consisted of the various size of OTFTs and OLEDs and the current driving capability of OTFTs for OLEDs has been investigated. OTFTs were made of the inverted staggered structure and employed polyvinylphenol (PVP) as the gate insulator and pentacene thin film as the active layer. The OTFTs produced the filed effect mobility of 0.3$cm^2$/V.sec and on/off current ratio of $10^5$. OLEDs consisted of TPD for HTL and Alq3 for EML with 35nm thick, generating green monochrome light. We found that OTFT with channel length of 70${\mu}m$and channel width of over 3.5mm provided the sufficient current to OLED to generate the luminescence of 0.3Cd/$m^2$.

  • In this study, we proposed a water rocket CULV-1 (Chosun University Launch Vehicle-1). Unlike a conventional water rocket, CULV-1 can perform the booster rocket, fairing, and payload separation like an actual launch vehicle and also the imaging data acquisition. The conceptual and critical design of the proposed CULV-1 have been performed considering the operation characteristics. The verification tests have been performed from subsystem to system level in accordance with the established test specifications and verification procedures. Through the final launch test of the flight model, we have verified the design effectiveness of the proposed separation mechanisms for water rocket applications and the mission requirements of the CULV-1 also have been complied.
