간호대학생의 성역할정체감에 따른 임상실습스트레스와 임상수행능력 (Nursing College Students' Clinical Practice Stress and Clinical Competence by their Gender Role Identity)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 성역할정체감에 따른 임상실습스트레스, 임상수행능력의 차이와 관계를 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. 경남 J시의 2개 대학교 간호학과 학생 450명을 대상으로 2020년 6월 1일부터 30일까지 설문조사를 실시하였으며 최종 417명의 자료가 분석되었다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계, χ2검정, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe 검증, 상관관계, 위계적 회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 간호대학생의 성역할정체감은 미분화 유형(34.3%)이 가장 많았으며 임상수행능력은 성역할정체감에 대해 유의한 차이가 있었으나(F=20.98, p<.001), 임상실습스트레스는 유의한 차이가 없었다(F=1.56, p=.199). 임상수행능력은 남성성 지수(r=.397, p<.001)와 여성성 지수(r=.325, p<.001)와는 정적 상관이 있었지만, 임상실습스트레스(r=.061, p=.217)와는 유의한 상관이 없었다. 성역할정체감은 임상수행능력에 유의한 영향요인으로 나타났다(F=6.67, p<.001). 따라서 임상실습교육 전 간호대학생의 성역할정체감을 확인하고 임상수행능력의 향상을 위한 중재가 필요할 것이다.

Relationship between Gender Roles and Job Satisfaction among Neurological Physical Therapists

  • PURPOSE: This study was aimed at investigating the types of gender roles and the relationship between gender roles and job satisfaction among neurological physical therapists. METHODS: The study subjects were 169 (male 74, female 95) neurological physical therapists working at general hospitals or rehabilitation centers in the Daejeon Metropolitan City area, South Korea. To identify job satisfaction scores, the subjects completed a questionnaire, and a vernier caliper was used by a trained examiner to measure the lengths of the subjects' index and ring fingers (i.e., digitus secundus manus and digitus annularis, respectively) to examine gender roles. The index to ring finger length ratio (i.e., 2D:4D ratio) was calculated using a personal computer. An independent t-test was performed to compare the finger length ratio and job satisfaction of male group with that of the female group and a correlation analysis was performed to examine job satisfaction by gender roles. RESULTS: Finger length ratio is lower in males than in females. However, there was no significant difference statistically (p>.05). Regarding job satisfaction by gender, males were more satisfied with their jobs than females (p<.05). However, there were no significant correlations between job satisfaction and gender roles (p>.05). CONCLUSION: It cannot be concluded that bias against gender roles is a contributing factor for neurological physical therapists being satisfied with their job, and thus bias against gender roles among neurological physical therapists should be removed.

성인자녀가 지각하는 부모양육태도가 결혼관에 미치는 영향: 성역할인식의 매개효과 (Influence of Parenting Style as Perceived by Adult Child on Perspective of Marriage: The Mediation Effect of Recognize Gender Roles)

  • This study use the influences of parenting style as perceived by and adult child and recognizes gender roles for the purpose of marriage perspectives. I provided a general tendency of parenting style as perceived by and adult child, recognize gender roles, and perspective of marriage to achieve the established goals. We analyzed the relative influence of socio-demographic characteristics, parenting style as perceived by and adult child and recognize gender roles for marriage perspectives. Finally, parenting style as perceived by and adult child are recognized gender roles mediated by the investigated influence of marriage perspectives. We used a structured questionnaire that targeted unmarried men and women 20 to 30 years of age to verify the this study. Data analysis used SPSS ver. 19.0; in addition, we performed reliability, frequency analysis, t-test, hierarchical regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, and variance inflation factor. Looking at these results, both adult children had a higher perception of rearing parents with the usual recognition of gender roles. The analysis indicated a conservative perspective of marriage. Adult children of mothers rearing and recognize gender roles sub-area of masculinity and femininity are perceived to be a significant change observed in marriage perspectives in addition to socio-demographic characteristics of gender and education. However, the relationship between parenting style, as perceived by adult child and marriage perspectives and as analyzed by recognize gender roles, did not have a mediating effect.

성역할정체감에 따른 치위생 전공선택 및 직업의식에 관한 조사 (Effect of gender role identity on choice of dental hygiene and professionalism)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of gender role identity on major choice, and preference and choice of job for applicants of dental hygiene department. Methods: The subjects were 202 high school girl students visiting K university in October, 2014 and in January, 2015 for the interview of early and regular admission to the university. The questionnaire consisted of 3 questions of general characteristics of the subjects, 40 questions of gender role identity, and 6 questions of career choice factors. Gender role identity included 15 questions of masculinity, 15 questions of feminity, and 10 questions of neutral gender using instrument of Kim by Likert scale. Cronbach's alpha of masculinity, feminity, and neutral gender was 0.810, 0.762, and 0.801 respectively. The data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test with SPSS Win 12.0. Results: The effects of gender role identity on major choice and professionalism were as follows. In major choice motivation, psychological type, feminity type and masculinity types selected aptitude, professional sustainability and recommendation by acquaintance in order, but undifferentiated type selected aptitude, recommendation by acquaintance and professional sustainability in order. There was a statistically significant difference(p<0.05). In major choice information, psychological, feminity and undifferentiated types prefer indirect experience but masculinity type prefers direct experience. There was a statistically significant difference(p<0.05) In job selection, psychological, feminity and undifferentiated types want to do assistant works rather than oral health prevention and education. Masculinity type want to do oral health prevention and education rather than assistant work. There was a statistically significant difference(p<0.001). Conclusions: The gender role identity affected the factors related to choice of major and job in dental hygiene major applicants. It is necessary to provide the career choice program for the high school students by personality types and gender role identity types.

청소년 성역할 고정관념에 관한 연구 - 성 차이를 중심으로 - (A Study on Gender Differences of Gender-Role Stereotype among Youth)

  • 본 연구는 청소년 성역할 고정관념의 성 차이를 알아보고 이에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 가족특성과 청소년 개인특성을 중심으로 규명하기 위하여 실시되었다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원이 2005년 조사한 초등 2차 패널 자료와 중등 3차 패널 자료를 사용하였으며 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성역할 고정관념은 여학생보다 남학생이 더 유효하게 높았다. 둘째, 남성성 성역할 고정관념은 남학생 뿐 아니라 여학생에게도 여성성 성역할 고정관념보다 높은 수준으로 유지되고 있었다. 셋째, 남학생의 자존감은 성역할 고정관념에 유의한 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만 여학생의 자존감은 성역할 고정관념과 무관하였다. 넷째, 여학생 집단에서 아버지와 어머니의 교육수준, 가족형태는 성역할 고정관념의 유의한 감소를 가져오는 것으로 나타났지만, 남학생 집단의 경우 어머니의 교육수준만 남성성 성역할 고정관념의 유의한 증가를 가져오는 것으로 나타나 여학생은 가족의 영향을 남학생보다 더 많이 받고 있었으며, 효과에 있어서도 성역할 고정관념의 완화를 경험하고 있었으나 남학생은 그 반대인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 청소년의 균형 있는 성역할 태도 형성을 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

기업가정신의 성별 차이: 사회적 맥락의 영향 (Gender Differences in Entrepreneurship: The Impact of Social Context)

  • 본 연구는 기업가정신에 있어 성별 간 차이가 나타나는 현상 자체가 아닌 기업가정신의 성별 차이를 발생시키는 사회적 맥락의 영향을 확인하는 데에 초점을 둔다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 글로벌 기업가정신 트렌드 리포트(GETR)의 20개국 데이터를 사용하여 사회적 맥락이 성별과 기업가정신 간 관계에 미치는 조절효과를 검증하였다. 사회적 맥락의 함의와 관련된 가설검증을 위하여, 본 연구에서는 Hofstede의 문화차원 요인인 권력 거리, 개인주의, 남성성, 불확실성 회피와 제도적 요인인 양성평등, 사회보장을 사회적 맥락을 반영하는 구체적 변수로 사용하였다. GLM을 사용한 실증분석 결과 성별은 기업가 정신에 독립적으로 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 성별은 각각 권력 거리, 개인주의, 불확실성 회피, 양성 평등, 사회 보장 변수와 상호 작용하여 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 기업가정신의 성별 차이가 각 성별에 내재된 고유의 특성에 기인한 것이 아니라, 개인이 속한 그 국가의 사회적 맥락 수준에 따라 나타날 수 있음을 시사한다.

중고령자의 은퇴 만족 유형과 삶의 만족도 : 성별에 따른 차이를 중심으로 (Types of Retirement Satisfaction and Life Satisfaction among Middle and Older Adults: Focusing on Gender Differences)

  • 본 연구는 은퇴를 주로 부정적인 생애사건으로 분류하였던 기존 인식에서 벗어나 보다 긍정적인 관점에서 다루고자 하였다. 취업자를 참조집단으로 하여, 은퇴자의 은퇴 만족 여부(만족 은퇴, 불만족 은퇴)가 삶의 만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고, 성별에 따른 차이를 검증하였다. 연구대상은 1~2차년도 고령화연구패널조사(KLoSA) 참여자 중 45세 이상의 취업자 1,886명, 은퇴자 723명으로 총 2,609명이며, 은퇴자는 1~2차년도 지속적 불만족 은퇴자와 만족 은퇴자로 구분하였다. 연구방법은 SPSS 21.0을 사용한 중다회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 남녀 집단 간 차이를 보다 명확히 하기위해 성별에 따른 회귀계수의 차이를 Mplus 7.3을 사용하여 다집단 분석(Multi-Group Analysis)을 통해 검증한 뒤, Wald-Test를 실시하였다. 본 연구결과에 따르면, 불만족 은퇴자와 만족 은퇴자의 삶의 만족도는 상반되는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 은퇴에 불만족할 경우 취업자보다 삶의 만족도는 낮은 반면, 은퇴에 만족할 경우 오히려 취업자보다도 삶의 만족도가 높다는 결과가 도출되었다. 또한, 남녀 모두 불만족 은퇴자는 취업자보다 삶의 만족도가 낮았고, 이 효과는 여성에게서 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 여성의 경우 만족 은퇴자의 삶의 만족도는 취업자보다 높은 반면, 남성의 경우 이러한 영향력이 유의미하다는 증거가 발견되지 않았다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 은퇴자 집단의 이질성 및 생애과정에서의 성차에 대한 논의가 이루어졌다.

어머니의 놀이신념, 유아의 성별과 가정놀이빈도가 유아의 종류별 놀이선호에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Mothers' Play Beliefs, Children's Gender and Home Play Frequency on Their Play Preferences)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among mothers' play beliefs, children's gender and home play frequency, and their preferences for three types of play. Methods: Totally 256 mothers of 5-year-olds participated in the survey in metropolitan area. Data were analyzed with t-test, Pearson's correlations, and stepwise multi-regression using SPSS 22.0. Results: First, boys and girls showed little difference in their home play experiences. Boys preferred active and rough play, while girls preferred quiet play. Second, mothers' play beliefs and children's home play frequency had partial correlations with children's play preferences. Third, predictors of children's play preferences were influenced by the types of play. Children's gender and mothers' play beliefs affected children's preference for active play. Only gender explained children's preference for rough play. Finally, children's gender, home play frequency, and mothers' play beliefs influence children's preference for quiet play. Conclusion: In conclusion, gender is an important factor of children's play preferences, and mothers' play beliefs and children's home play frequency affect their preferences for a specific type of play.

유아의 행동규제 및 정서규제 능력이 또래 놀이행동에 미치는 영향: 성별에 따른 차이를 중심으로 (Effects of Behavioral and Emotional Regulation on Preschool Children's Peer Play Behavior: Focusing on Gender Differences)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of preschool children's behavioral and emotional regulation on their peer play behavior, focusing on gender differences. A total of 214 4- and 5-year-old children attending a child care center in South Korea participated in this study. The instruments used in this study were the Child Behavior Rating Scale, Emotion Regulation Checklist, and Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale. The collected data were analyzed using a Student's t -test, Pearson's partial correlation, and multiple regressions with the SPSS software ver. 16.0. The main results of this study are as follows: first, there was a significant gender difference in preschool children's behavioral regulation, emotional control, play interaction, and play disruption. However, there was no gender difference in preschool children's play disconnection. Second, preschool children's emotional control and behavioral regulation had positive effects on their play interaction irrespective of gender. Third, preschool children's emotional instability and emotional control had a positive influence on their play disruption irrespective of gender. Finally, the factors of behavioral regulation and emotional instability significantly predicted the boys' play disconnection, while for the girls, the significant predictor was emotional control. Further, implications for the use of early intervention targeting specific behavioral and emotional regulation problems have been discussed.

여대생의 성역할정체감유형에 따른 월경전기증후군, 월경통 및 스트레스 (The Study of Premenstrual Syndrome, Dysmenorrhea, and Stress according to the Gender Role Identity of Female University Students)

  • Purpose: This study was to examine the differences in the degree of premenstrual syndrome, dysmenorrhea, and stress according to the gender role identity of female university students. Methods: Data were collected by self-reported questionnaires from 308 female university students. Data analysis was done with SPSS 10.1 for descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Duncan's multiple-range test. Results: The most prevalent type of premenstrual syndrome was androgenic(33.8%), followed by undifferentiated(25.0%). There was a significant difference in dysmenorrhea according to residence. In addition, there were significant differences in premenstrual syndrome according to age, and in stress according to age and economic status. Also, there was no significant difference according to dysmenorrhea and there were significant differences in premenstrual syndrome and dysmenorrhea according to gender role identity. Premenstrual syndrome and stress were the most prevalence in female type, but the lowest severe in masculine type. Conclusion: The study variables can be influencing factors in the gender role identity of female university students. Also, the findings can provide the basis for the development of nursing interventions to establish the gender role identity of female university students.
