The Lateral dorsal cutaneous branch of sural nerve (LDCB) is a terminal sensory branch of lower extremities. It can be injured frequently in peripheral nerves. However, the normal data of each component of nerve conduction study (NCS) of were not studied at this time. The Nerve Conduction Study of LDCB adults were assessed for amplitude, area, duration and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) in normal fifty. We also evaluated how age, sex and dexterity affect the various components of NCS. The Mean amplitude of LDCB was $9.45{\pm}1.93{\mu}V$, area was $4.05{\pm}0.55{\mu}V/s$, duration was $1.50{\pm}0.13s$, and NCV was $37.9{\pm}3.09m/s$, respectively. The amplitude of right was $10.1{\mu}V$ in men, $8.65{\mu}V$ in women. The area of right was $3.83{\mu}V/s$ in less than 40 years and $4.24{\mu}V/s$ in older than 40 years. The areas of left was $3.86{\mu}V/s$ in less than 40 years and $4.30{\mu}V/s$ in older than 40 years. The NCV was 39.0 m/s in less than 40 years and 36.7 m/s in older than 40 years. All of above differences were statistically significant. There were no statistically significant differences between right and left NCS. Normal data of LDCB could be applicable in peripheral neuropathy or nerve injury.

The T-DMB(Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) which was developed by the convergence of digital broadcasting technology and communication technology provides us with very good quality of music like CD, and provides TV services in a super express train like the KTX whose velocity is over 300 Km per hour. The T-DMB is diffusing toward the world as a technology which is be able to provide the various convergent services of broadcasting and communication through mobile phone, PDA, dedicated terminal, and so on. A business model needed for the diffusion of the T-DMB toward the world was established and utilized to expand the T-DMB into Vietnam in the paper. In addition, this paper describes not only some predicting methods for the technological valuation of the T-DMB Total Solution, but also a case study on the marketing related to establishing the T-DMB system in order to provide the paid services in Vietnam. Finally, A couple of business models needed to globally expand the T-DMB have been provided.

In this study, the extracellular metalloprotease from Serratia marcescens PPB-26 was purified to homogeneity via ethanol fractionation and DEAE-cellulose column chromatography. Thus, a 3.8-fold purification was achieved with a 20% yield and specific activity of 76.2 U/mg. The purified protease was a 50-kDa monomer whose optimum pH and temperature for activity were 7.5 and $30^{\circ}C$ respectively; however, it was found to remain active in the 5-9 pH range and up to $40^{\circ}C$ for 6 h. The protease had a half-life of 15 days at $4^{\circ}C$, an optimum reaction time of 10 min, and an optimum substrate (casein) concentration of 0.25%. Furthermore, the Michaelis constant ($K_m$) and reaction velocity ($V_{max}$) of the protease were calculated to be 0.28% and $111.11{\mu}moles/(min{\cdot}mg)^{-1}$, respectively. The protease was stable when subjected to metal ions (2 mM), showing increased activity with most (especially $CoCl_2$ and $MgSO_4$ (30.54% increase)). It was also stable when exposed to oxidizing agents, bleaching agents, and detergents (5% v/v for 60 min). It retained 93% of its activity in non-ionic detergents (Tween-20, Tween-80, and Triton X-100). Moreover, wash performance analysis in commercial detergents (Ariel and Tide) showed that not only was the protease capable of protein stain removal, but also reduced cleaning time by 80% when added to detergents. Thus, the Serratia marcescens PPB-26 metalloprotease appears to be a promising new candidate as a laundry additive in the detergent industry.

RR Tel is an interacting binary system in which a hot white dwarf (WD) accretes matter from a Mira variable via gravitational capture of the stellar wind. We present a high-resolution optical spectrum of RR Tel obtained with MIKE at Magellan-Clay telescope, Chile. We find broad emission features at 6825, 7082, 7023, and $7053{\AA}$, which are formed through Raman scattering of far-UV O VI ${\lambda}{\lambda}$ 1032 and $1038{\AA}$, C II ${\lambda}{\lambda}$ 1036 and $1037{\AA}$ with atomic hydrogen. Raman O VI 6825 and 7082 features are characterized by double-peaked profiles indicative of an accretion flow with a characteristic speed ~ 30km/s, whereas the Raman C II features exhibit a single Gaussian profile with FWHM ${\sim}10{\AA}$. Monte Carlo simulations for Raman O VI and C II are performed by assuming that the emission nebula around the WD consists of the inner O VI disk with a representative scale of 1 AU and the outer part with C II sphere. The best fit for Raman profiles is obtained with an asymmetric matter distribution of the O VI disk, the mass loss rate of the cool companion ${\dot{M}}{\sim}2{\times}10^{-6}M_{{\odot}/yr}$ and the wind terminal velocity v~10 km/s. We also find O VI doublet at 3811 and $3834{\AA}$, which are blended with other emission lines. Our profile decomposition shows that the O VI ${\lambda}{\lambda}$ 3811, 3834 doublet have a single Gaussian profile with a width ~ 25 km/s. A comparison of the restored fluxes of C II ${\lambda}{\lambda}$ 1036 and 1037 from Raman C II features with the observed C II ${\lambda}1335$ leads to an estimate of a lower bound of N(CII) > $9.87{\times}10^{13}cm^{-2}$ toward RR Tel, which appears consistent with the presumed distance D ~ 2.6 kpc.
Purpose: In recent years, there has been increasing interest in using blood flow-restricted exercise (BFRE) or KAATSU training. The KAATSU training method, which partially restricts arterial inflow and fully restricts venous outflow in the working musculature during exercise at reduced exercise intensities, has been proven to result in substantial increases in both muscle hypertrophy and strength. The purpose of this study was to investigate the proper level of pressure for KAATSU training using compound muscle action potential (CMAP) analysis. Methods: Twenty-two healthy adults voluntarily participated in this study. CMAP was conducted by measuring the terminal latency and amplitude using a motor nerve conduction velocity test. For reference-line, supramaximal electrical stimulation was applied to the median nerves of the participants to obtain CMAP for the abductor pollicis brevis. For baseline, the intensity of the electrical stimulation was decreased to a level at which the CMAP amplitude was about a third of the CMAP amplitude obtained by the supramaximal electrical stimulation. The pressure levels for the KAATSU were set as a systolic blood pressure (strong pressure), the median values of systolic and diastolic blood pressure (intermediate pressure), and diastolic blood pressure (weak pressure). In the KAATSU condition, CMAP was performed under the same conditions as baseline after low-intensity thumb abduction exercises were performed at the subjects' own pace for one minute. Results: As the pressure increased, the CMAP amplitude was significantly increased, signifying that more muscle fibers were recruited. Conclusion: This study found that KAATSU training recruited more muscle fibers than low-intensity exercise without the restriction of blood flow.
Nerve conduction studies help delineate the extent and distribution of the neural lesion. The nerve conduction was studied on upper(median, ulnar and radial nerves) and lower(personal, posterior tibial and sural nerves) extremities in 83 healthy subjects 23 to 66 years of age. and normal values were established(Table 1). The mean motor terminal latency (TL) were : median. 3.6(${\pm}0.6$)milliseconds ; ulnar. 2.9(${\pm}0.5$) milliseconds ; radial nerve. 2.3(${\pm}0.4$) milliseconds. Mean motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV) along distal and proximal segments: median. 61.2(${\pm}9.1$) (W-E) and 57.8(${\pm}13.2$) (E-Ax) meters per second ; ulnar. 63.7(${\pm}9.1$) (W-E) and 50.(${\pm}10.0$) meters per second. Mean sensory nerve conduction velocity(SNCV) : median. 34.7(${\pm}6.7$) (F-W), 63.7(${\pm}7.1$) (W-E) and 62.8(${\pm}12.3$) (E-Ax)meters per second ; ulnar. 38.0(${\pm}6.7$)(F-W), 63.4(${\pm}7.5$) (W-E) and 57.0(${\pm}10.1$) (E-Ax)meters per second ; radial, 45.3(${\pm}6.8$) (F-W) and 64.2(${\pm}11.0$) (W-E) meters per second ; sural nerve, 43.4(${\pm}6.1$) meters per second. The amplitudes of action potential and H-reflex were also standardized. Mean H latency was 28.4(${\pm}3.2$) milliseconds. And. the fundamental principles, several factors altering the rate of nerve conduction and clinical application of nerve stimulation techniques were reviewed.
The purpose of this study wa9 to analyse the gait patterns of two female children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy by using the three-dimensional video motion analysis technique. Case 1 has mild spastic hemiplegia on the right side while Case 3 has moderate spastic hemiplegia on the left side. A group of 10, normal female children of the same age(7-8 years old) were selected as the control group for comparison. Time and distance variables as well as the Center of Mass displacement, and the pelvic and joint motions in three anatomical planes were analysed for this purpose. The following observations were made through the analysis : Case 1 revealed an asymmetrical gait pattern in which the step length of the unaffected side was shorter than that of the affected side, which wan a result of the effort to minimize loading on the affected leg by shortening the swing phase of the unaffected leg. Case 1 scored similar phase ratios, cadence and walking velocity to the normal group. A slight posterior tilt of the pelvis was observed throughout the gait cycle. Less hip and knee flexion than the normal group was observed, and demonstrated hyperextension of the knee in the terminal stance phase. The main problem in case 1 originated from the insufficient dorsiflexion of the affected foot during the swing phase. Therefore, Case 1 has difficulty with foot clearance in the swing phase. Usually, this is compensated for by using exessive hip abduction and medial rotation in conjuction with trunk elevation as well as increased vortical displacement of the center of mass. Case 1 revealed a foot-flat initial contact pattern. Case 2 was characterized by a consistent retraction ef the affected aide of the body througout the gait cycle, As a result, an asymmetrical gait pattern with increased stance phase ratios of the unaffected side was observed. In spite of this the step lengths of both sieds were similar. Case 2 scored lower cadence and walking speed than the normal group with lower gait stability. The main problem in Case 2 originated from an excessive plantaflexion of the affected foot which, in turn, rebutted in high hip and knee flexion. Hyperextension of the knee was observed at mid-stance, and execessive anterior tilt of the pelvis throughout the gait cycle was noticed. A gait pattern with high hip abduction and medial circumduction was maintained for the stability in the stance phase and foot clearance in the swing phase. Case 2 revealed a forefoot-contact initial contact pattern.
Experiments were carried out with purified technical grade and two types of impregnated and sand-coated granules of carbofuran, in order to investigate the release patterns in water and the persistence of this chemical in soils. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1) As regards to release velocity in water, impregnated granule was found to be faster than sand-coated granule. The time to reach maximum concentrations of carbofuran in water from technical carbofuran, impregnated granule and sand-coated granule was 0.5, 3 and 5 days, respectively. 2) Degradation rate of carbofuran in soils decreased in the order of technical carbofuran, impregnated granule, sand-coated granule regardless of soil types and application rates. Degradation of carbofuran in flooded soil was faster than in non-flooded soil. Soil flooding appeared to be the main factor in promoting the degradation of carbofuran in the soil. 3) When carbofuran was fortified in soils in the form of technical carbofuran, impregnated granule or sand-coated granule, the persistencies of two terminal residues of carbofuran, that is, 3-hydroxy carbofuran and 3-keto carbofuran decreased in the order of sand-coated granule, impregnated granule and technical form.
Even though recurring eddies at the terminal end of the East Korean Warm Current have been identified in the thermal infrared imagery from the NOAA/AVHRR sensor and ocean color data from Orbview-2/SeaWiFS sensor, it is difficult to make observation in the field regarding recurring eddies located around the Wonsan coastal area in North Korea. But we could get in situ data related to an eddy from an ARGOS satellite tracking drifter trapped in the eddy on January 4th, 1999. An ARGOS drifter, a NOAA satellite tracked buoy was trapped by the eddy during January 4th.March 18, 1999. The ARGOS drifter rotated 10 times per 72 days on the edge of the eddy located at $39^{\circ}N$, $129^{\circ}E$. The diameter of the eddy was about 100 km. The horizontal rotation velocity of the recurring cold-core anti-cyclonic eddy was 1.53 km/h(42 cm/sec). The sea surface temperatures of the eddy varied from $14.7^{\circ}C$ on January 5, 1999 to $9.6^{\circ}C$ on March 18,1999. To study the mechanism of the recurring eddy. we tried to find out the relationship between the vector of the drifter moving in the eddy and the wind vector in Sokcho and Ulleung Island located near the eddy in southern Korea, and the difference in sea level between Ulleung Island and Mukho. We hope the results of this study would be useful for calibration and validation data of simulation and numerical modeling studies of the recurring eddy.

To evaluate the kinetic energy of the raindrops, the drop size distribution and the terminal velocity of the raindrops had been measured from January to September 2010 using the laser-optical disdrometer in KIGAM, Daejeon, Korea. The relationship between kinetic energy (KE) and rainfall intensity (I) was computed as logarithmic and exponential model, respectively, under the rainfall intensity of about 142mm/h. The exponential model is more suitable for the relationship of KE-I than the logarithmic model, because the exponential model presented better fit for KE over 50mm/h of rainfall intensity. Meanwhile, the differences of the total kinetic energy existed in rainfall events with almost same total rainfall depth, and KE values of Daejeon at high rainfall intensity underestimated rather than the others under temperate climate. Therefore, these differences of KE in rainfall events and geographical regions imply the result from the variations of rainfall intensity within a rainfall event.
