점유형태 선택과 주거환경 및 주거의식의 관련성 분석 - 수도권 신혼부부 가구를 대상으로 - (A Relation between the Housing Tenure Choices and Residential Environments & Housing Consciousness - Focused on Newlyweds in the Seoul Metropolitan Region -)

  • 본 연구는 주택정책의 주요 대상 중 하나인 신혼부부 가구를 대상으로, 주거환경과 주거의식이 주택점유형태 선택에 미치는 영향에 대하여 실증적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 주거환경과 주거의식은 가구속성 및 주택특성과 함께 주택 점유형태 선택에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으며, 주거환경은 전세 선택에, 주거의식은 월세 선택에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, '주거환경' 측면에서, 주택 자체가 갖고 있는 속성(부(-)의 영향)과 주택을 둘러싸고 있는 주변 환경(정(+)의 영향)은 가구의 자가 대비 전세 선택에 영향을 미쳤다. 반면, 주거지 주변의 거주환경은 가구가 자가보다 월세를 선택하는데 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, '주거의식'과 관련하여, 주택에 대하여 거주목적보다 투자목적의 자산가치에 중점을 두는 가구는 자가를 선택할 확률이 높은 것으로 확인되었다.

비인지적 요인이 취업에 미치는 영향: 구직기간과 근속기간 분석을 중심으로 (The Effect of Non-cognitive Skill on Employability: Focusing on the Period of Job Search and Tenure)

  • 본 연구에서는 구직기간과 근속기간에 미치는 비인지적 요인의 영향을 살펴보았다. 한국노동연구원의 노동패널 18차 삶의 인식에 대한 부가조사자료에는 개인의 비인지적 특성을 묻는 질문 문항이 들어있다. 노동패널자료를 사용하여 big5 성격특성과 통제소재 변인에 대한 내적일치도를 살펴보고, 분석방법으로는 구직기간과 근속기간 등 절단(censored)이 있는 표본을 포함하고 있는 자료의 분석에 적합한 비례위험해저드모형을 사용하였다. 추정결과 성격특성과 통재소재 등 비인지적 요인이 개인의 노동시장 성과에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 구직기간 분석에서 성격요인 중 성실성이 성인구직자의 구직기간을 길게 하여 실업탈출률을 낮추는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 실업과 같은 불확실한 상황에서는 성실성으로 표현되는 신중함이 구직에 필요한 정보해석을 잘못하거나 왜곡할 수 있고, 결단성의 결여로 실업탈출에 제약이 되는 것으로 보인다. 근속기간 분석에서는 내적통재 소재자의 경우 근속기간이 길어 직장이탈가능성이 낮았다. 내적통재소재자는 내가 열심히 하면 조직에서 성공과 승진이 가능하다고 믿는 경향이 강하기 때문에 조직에 의해 더 선호될 수 있으며, 내적통제 경향이 강할수록 스스로의 행동에 대한 동기부여와 자제심이 크기 때문에 한 직장에 오래 머물 수 있는 요인이 되는 것으로 보인다.

임금근로자의 강제퇴직에 대한 연구 - 임금과 근속기간의 상호작용을 중심으로 - (The Study on Paid Employees' Mandatory Retirement - Focusing on the Interaction wage with Job Tenure -)

  • 최근 퇴직에 대한 연구는 활발히 수행되고 있지만, 강제퇴직에 대한 실증연구는 많지 않다. 그러나 우리나라 기업에서 고령자 고용을 기피하는 이유는 연공서열형 임금구조로 지적되기 때문에, Lazear의 연공서열형 모형(1979)은 우리나라 임금근로자의 강제퇴직을 설명하는데 시사점이 클 것으로 예측된다. 이에 본 논문은 Lazear 모형이 우리나라 강제퇴직을 설명할 수 있는지, 고령화연구패널조사(1~2차)를 통해 연구하였다. 분석결과, 임금과 근속기간의 상호작용이 강제퇴직의 주요 결정요인으로 나타났다. 임금소득 증가율이 높은 근로자는 근속기간이 길수록 강제퇴직률이 높아지지만, 임금소득 증가율이 낮은 근로자는 근속기간이 길어도 계속 근로하여, Lazear 모형을 지지한다.

흔하지 않은 이름의 최고경영자와 기업의 연구개발 투자: 최고경영자 특성의 조절 효과를 중심으로 (CEOs with Unusual Names and R&D Intensity: Moderating Role of CEO Characteristics)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between CEO name uncommonness and R&D intensity while focusing on CEO ownership and CEO tenure as moderators of the relationship. Design/methodology/approach - This study collected data from various American databases such as national data on given names from Social Security Administration, COMPUSTAT, and Execucomp. The sample of this study includes 2,494 (firm-year) observations from U.S. firms between 2005-2011. This study conducts Feasible Generalized Least Square (FGLS) regression analysis to test the hypotheses. Findings - First, we found CEO name uncommonness was positively related to R&D intensity. In other words, CEOs with unusual names prefer being distinctive by increasing R&D investments. Second, we examine the moderating roles of CEO characteristics (i.e., CEO ownership and tenure). The results show that CEO tenure strengthens the positive relationship between CEO name uncommonness and R&D intensity. Research implications or Originality - First, this study extends the CEO characteristics and R&D literature by investigating how CEO name uncommonness affects R&D intensity. In addition, our study also supports the intitutionalization of CEO power arguments by showing that CEOs with unusual names are more likely to pursue distinctive strategies when they have longer tenure. For practical implications, our results allow the investors to better predict corporate future R&D expenses. It suggests that ceteris paribus, CEOs with unusual names, vis-a-vis CEOs with common names, are more likely to increase R&D expenses.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors which influenced the quality of life of elderly women living alone or with the spouse. A survey using interview was administered to 221 elderly women living in Seoul and Pusan The major findings were as follows: 1) The family life satisfaction of elderly women was determined by the quality of relationship with her eldest son's wife shared activities financial strain and location. The determinants of consumer life satisfaction were financial strain materialism tenure and the number of income sources, Housing life satisfaction was influenced by the convenience of neighborhood facilities tenure and housing structure type. 2) The quality of relationship with her eldest son's wife social activities financial strain tenure and the reason for independent household formation explained the variance of the life satisfaction about 29% by using a stepwise multiple regression method.

종업원 임파워먼트와 서비스품질의 관계 및 재직기간의 조절효과 (The Relationship between Empowerment and Service Quality, and Moderating Effects of Tenure)

  • With the increase in family income in Korea and the improving quality of life, there is a rapid growth in the restaurant industry. Therefore there is a demand for quality service in this industry. This paper reviews the relationship between service quality and the degree of employee empowerment. The first objective of this research is to test the effects of employee empowerment on service quality, and the second one is to test how tenure affects this relationship. According to statistical analysis, meaning, competency, and autonomy generally have an affirmative impact on many service quality factors. Also the results of regression analysis to test the moderation effect show that long term employees are more sensitive to autonomy than short term employees.

아파트 거주 가구의 주거특성 변화 및 주거규범달성 정도 (The Changes of Housing Characteristics and The Degree of Attainment of Housing Norms among Residents in Apartment)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes of housing characteristics and the degree of attainment of housing norms. The major findings are as follows: 1) There are significant differences in changes of housing characteristics. A size of house and the number of room have been improved according to hosing experience and housing expects. Type of tenure has been improved according to housing experience and housing expects. Type of tenure has been improved gradually according to moving. The family with higher socio-economic status prefers apartments. Although about a half of household hopes to live in a high-rising apartments. more than 40 persentage of the household still hopes to live in single detached houses. As a result apartment are though not to satisfy their housing well-being 2) As socio-economic status is higher and family life cycle is longer the degree of their attainment of housing norms appear higher. The household attaining higher housing norms has the higher housing satisfaction but needs to move is lower The family attains housing norms as the following orders: type of tenure\longrightarrowtype of house\longrightarrowthe nmber of rooms\longrightarrowa size of house.

  • With increasing of Korean family's revenue and pursuing quality of life, outdoor food and meal industry is rapidly growing up. Thus employee's service quality is much more needed in this industry. This paper reviewed the relationship between employee empowerment and service quality.   • Empirical analysis was based on the data of 692 hotel employees from Seoul and Gyung-gi province. To test the relationship between job characteristics and service quality, multiple regression analysis was applied, and hierarchial regression analysis(Cohen & Cohen, 1983) applied to test the moderating effects of gender and tenure. Multiple regressional analysis showed that job importance, job variety, and feedback had an positive impact on tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, but autonomy had a negative impact on tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance. Hierarchical regressional analysis showed that gender had moderating effects on 4 relationships between job characteristics and service quality, and tenure had moderating effects on 3 relationships.

이황화탄소 폭로가 혈압에 미치는 영향에 관한 분석적 연구 (An Analytic Study on the Effect of Carbon Disulfide on the Blood Pressure)

  • To investigate the effect of carbon disulfide on blood pressure, the BP measurements in the periodic health examination results and the medical records of factory clinic were reviewed. The study subjects were composed of 1336 male and 544 female workers, who were categorized into three groups by the exposure status-highly exposed, moderately exposed and non-exposed group. The results of the study were as follows; 1. The age-adjusted mean systolic and diastolic BP of male workers were 122.35 mmHg/79.11 mmHg in highly exposed, 121.57mmHg/79.05mmHg in moderately exposed and 122.67mmHg/82.27mmHg in non-exposed group. For female workers, BPs were 115.13mmHg/74.49mmHg in moderately exposed and 113.48mmHg/74.30mmHg in non-exposed group. 2. In multiple regression analysis of maximum BP against Age and tenure, the slope coefficients of age and tenure on the systolic BP were 0.379, 0.667 respectively and those on the diastolic BP were 0.331, 0.405 respectively in highly exposed male workers. Tenure was a significant variable in this study. For female workers, however the slope coefficients of tenure on BP were significant only for systolic BP of moderately-exposed group. 3. In multiple regression analysis of Bp against age, cumulative exposure index (CEI), cholesterol, all the variables showed significant slope coefficients in male, but age and CEI on systolic BP were significant for female workers (p<0.05). 4. In the multiple analysis of the amount of Bp change and the velocity of Bp change among male workers, the slope coefficients of tenure tended to increase as exposure level increased. Among female workers, the slope coefficients of tenure were significant on the amount of Bp change and the velocity of Bp change in moderately exposed group.
