The data were collected from 216 technology teachers and other subject teachers in Gwangju City and Chon-nam Province and analyzed and tested at p<.05 or more by employing t-test through SPSS program. The average satisfaction levels of the teachers were M = 3.85 with compounded motivation factors and M = 3.38 with compounded hygiene factors. The former is higher the latter. In the satisfaction levels of individual factors responsibility was first, work itself second, achievement third, and human relation, job safety, growth opportunity, recognition, supervision skill subsequently went down. The satisfaction levels of these factors were higher than neutral(M = 3.00). On the other hand, the satisfaction levels of work environment and payment were a little lower than neutral. Technology teachers were more satisfied than other subject teachers with responsibility and human relation factors among 10 motivation and hygiene factors. They had more positive perception than the others with these two. Generally, these teachers groups presented almost the equal satisfaction level with motivation and hygiene factors. The data were collected from technology teachers and other subject teachers in Gwangju City and Chon-nam Province and thus these might not be applicable to teachers in other cities and provinces.

  • Recently, a wide variety of studies on future learning have appeared owing to rapid advances in information and communication technology (ICT) and increased discussion about core competencies in twenty-first-century learning. These studies, though insufficient in number, cover various fields such as architecture (design of the learning space), education (learning model), and technology (adaptation of mobile devices). However, these studies focus on mainstream students and do not discuss the future situation of inclusive education with regard to both mainstream and students with physical disabilities. Hence, in order to fill this gap, the present study explores the perceptions and ideas held by special education preservice teachers on the future learning space with regard to school design and peer-to-peer feedback. For this purpose, these preservice teachers' design proposals about future school were collected and analyzed. In conclusion, special education preservice teachers perceive the future learning space as an inclusive environment in which smart technology is incorporated. Future learning environment were categorized in terms of flexible, ubiquitous technology, physical and mental health, safety, and spaces with facilities for students with physical disabilities.

  • This study was conducted on teachers who currently are teaching 'Technology and Home Economics' in high school, and teaching it alone, as opposed to team teaching. The study examined the teachers' fields of major study relative to their teaching behaviors and levels of confidence and satisfaction while teaching this course. The study also compared teaching behaviors, confidence and satisfaction among teachers who either have or have not participated in training sessions specifically-targeting teachers who are lack of relevant knowledge and skills in a major field. Questionnaires were mailed to high school teachers who were solo-teaching 'Technology and Home Economics' at high schools in Gyeonggi Do. Data from 83 respondents were used for the final analysis. The findings were as follows: First, it was determined that teachers tend to be more active when teaching subjects in which they have majored than subjects in which they have not. Teachers who have majored in home economics were most active when teaching home economics, followed by technology major teachers teaching technology, home economics major teachers teaching technology and technology major teachers teaching home economics, the last group exhibiting the least willingness to teach. Similarly, all teachers exhibited less confidence in areas not relevant to their majors, and confidence especially was lower while teaching practical skills versus theories. Teachers also were found to be less satisfied with teaching subjects outside of their majors. Second, analyzing technology majors currently teaching home economics and comparing those who have and have not participated in training sessions for home economics teaching, we found that 1) technology majors with such training feel that the training experience helped them in preparing various teaching media and in their evaluation of students' understanding of basic concepts and practices; 2) these training programs increased teachers' confidence teaching theories, but not practical skills; and 3) after they had participated in training programs, teachers' satisfaction increased in terms of producing teaching agendas and selecting textbooks and teaching media for their classes. However, training programs were found to have no effect on home economics majors who had participated in technology training programs, in terms of teaching behaviors, confidence or satisfaction teaching technology.

  • ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence-based conversation agent developed by OpenAI using natural language processing technology. In this study, an empirical study was conducted on incumbent teachers on the intention to use the newly emerged Chat GPT. First, we studied how accuracy, entertainment, system accessibility, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use affect ChatGPT's acceptance intention. In addition, we analyzed whether perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use differ in the intention to accept depending on the digital technology of teachers. As a result of the study, the suitability of the structural equation model was generally good. Accuracy and entertainment were found to have a significant effect on perceived usefulness, and system accessibility was found to have a significant effect on perceived ease of use. In the analysis of teachers' digital technology control effects, it was found that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use had a control effect between acceptance intentions. It was found that the group with high digital skills of teachers was strongly intended to accept the service regardless of perceived usefulness and ease of use. In the group with low digital skills of teachers, it is thought that ChatGPT's service shows the acceptance intention only when the perceived usefulness and ease of use are high. Therefore, in the group with low digital technology, it is necessary to seek teaching activities such as the development of instructional models using ChatGPT.

A total of 761 early childhood teachers working at childcare centers and kindergartens in South Korea were selected as the participants for the study. The study variables were measured using survey questionnaires. Pearson's correlation analyses and regression analyses along with Sobel test were conducted. The results demonstrated that early childhood teachers' teaching efficacy had a significant mediation effect on the relationship between their professionalism and teacher-child interaction. The results suggest the need to support early childhood teachers' recognition and development of professionalism as well as teaching efficacy that result in positive teacher-child interaction.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of preschool teachers' qualification (education level, teaching experience, major, and certification) and competency variables (teaching efficacy and teacher-child interaction) on young children's development (cognition, language, and social development). The data came from $5^{th}$ Wave of Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC) from the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education, and the multiple regression analyses as well as Pearson's correlation analyses were used. The results showed the positive associations between teachers' competency (teaching efficacy and teacher-child interaction) and child development. However, we did not find significant effects of teachers' qualification on young children's development. Based on the results, we proposed a policy implication that teacher qualification needed to be discussed with teacher competency to improve teacher quality.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine early childhood teachers' content knowledge of economic education. The subjects, 60 early childhood teachers, were asked to draw concept maps about early childhood economic education. Their concept maps were analyzed in terms of superordinate and subordinate concepts by contents and frequencies. The results were as follows. First, 248 superordinate concepts were shown, and they were categorized into nine representative terms: 'Scarcity and Choice,' 'Decision Making,' 'Monetary Value,' 'Production,' 'Consumption,' 'Distribution,' 'Restrain,' 'Reuse,' and 'Economic Education Activity.' Second, 1,440 subordinate concepts were shown, and 'coin,' 'bill,' 'saving,' 'bank,' and 'money' were frequently shown. Third, the mean numbers of subordinate concepts per superordinate concepts showed that early childhood teachers had more knowledge about 'Consumption,' 'Monetary Value,' and 'Economic Education Activity' than other superordinate concepts. The results showed the need for early childhood teachers to have more systematic and hierarchical pedagogical content knowledge on economic education.
