This study examined the integrity of diesel engines for underwater vessels through failure analysis, analyzed the causes of abnormal diesel engine stoppage during building and examined the integrity of secondary damages. The diesel engine stoppage was analyzed by checking the temperature change of the piston before and after the abnormality and checking the damage. In addition, in order to analyze the secondary damage caused by the explosion, the tensile and compressive stresses transmitted to the crankshaft, the core part of the diesel engine, were calculated, and the stress distribution was examined through finite element analysis, but the crankshaft was designed by safety. It was confirmed that there was no damage to the crankcase even when the diesel engine was taken out of the ship and closely inspected. The integrity of the crank shaft was verified in advance for the occurrence of diesel engine emergency shutdown accidents through this research result. Therefore, the inspection and restoration were carried out to the minimum extent, and the quality of diesel engines was secured. This study is expected to be used as a reference for ensuring soundness in any future review of diesel engine quality problems.
Recently, Discussion about BIM based LID (Low Impact Development) facilities management system is activated because interest of LID technique for urban water cycle restoration is increasing. For this reason, this paper developed the auto-checking module of the BIM (Building Information Model) based supply output table. This module will be the foundation of the BIM based LID facilities total management system. The research order is composed like next follows: (1) Select target area, (2) Make BIM model of LID facilities and extract supply output table, (3) Develop comparison module, (4) Analysis results. As a result, the authors made 27 LID facilities and developed the supply output table comparison automation module. So, the authors could find differences of 2D design documents based supply output table and BIm based supply output table. So, the authors made an improvement suggestion of the design plan and could construct foundation of the BIM based LID facilities total management system.
This study monitored Daecheong 1-bo, Daecheong-stream, which carried out the project in 2014, from 2015 to 2016. The technology applied to the stream was evaluated using Periphytic Algae to check contamination indicators and ecological health of the area with an integral river-bed protection using non-toxic materials. The water quality of the monitoring section was confirmed to be above the river environment standard (II), and it was confirmed that the Saproxenic taxa of the river bed protection were higher than the upper and downstream sections. The TDI, which is an index of attachment algae, was shown in the average 51.03 and 52.15 for the pilot project sections in 2015 and 2016, confirming that the index is of the "normal" grade. This is the other sections in the upstream and downstream sections showed higher than "bad", which is thought to have a positive effect on the habitat of the river ecosystem components, especially the microbial population in river bed protection.
This study was performed to evaluate the applicability of pump and treat technology as well as to identify the changes of groundwater level by continuous pumping at the petroleum contaminated site. A total of 9 monitoring wells were installed at the site and the contaminant concentrations, TPH, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene, of groundwater were measured. With the results of the groundwater monitoring, a total of 9 wells were set up for pumping contaminated groundwater in 3 locations. The waste water treatment facility with a capacity of $10m^3/hr$ was installed in the site and operated for about 1 year. The concentrations of the contaminated groundwater from the 3 pumping wells were exceeded groundwater regulation for benzene and TPH. However, the effluent concentration of benzene and TPH was under the regulation showing the maximum level of 0.011 mg/L and 1.2 mg/L during the operation periods. Groundwater levels were decreased by continuous pumping and those were not recovered during the operation period. Groundwater levels of PW-1,2, PW-3,4,5,6 and PW-7,8,9 were decreased about 5 m, 0.7 m, 2 m, respectively. The hydraulic conductivity (K) of the region of PW-1,2, PW-3,4,5,6 and PW-7,8,9 was estimated to be $6.143{\times}10^{-5}cm/sec$, $2.675{\times}10^{-5}cm/sec$, $1.198{\times}10^{-4}cm/sec$. Groundwater level was seemed to be affected not by hydraulic conductivity but by morphological effect. These results show that the pump and treat technology has high applicability for the restoration of petroleum contaminated groundwater but needs continuous monitoring to prevent rapid groundwater drawdown.
The study area is local river of 671 (total length 3,741 km) in Gyeongnam prefecture, the results are as follows. Total number of river-crossing structures was investigated as 7,730, and it was found that structures were installed in 2.1 sites per 1 km (river length) on average. Diversion weirs for agriculture were 4006 (51.82%) and drop structures for channel bed maintenance were 3670 (47.48%), but the rest (riverbed road etc.) were 54 (0.70%). The number of high structures (height > 1.0 m) that affect many impact in upstream and downstream was investigated as 3,897 (51%), and the number of low structures (height < 0.5 m) that affect negligibly was 1109 (14%). Fish ladders have been installed on 640 (8%) structures in 153 (23%) rivers. In flood control and environment conservation, river-crossing structures brought about various impact that flood water level is raises and the eco-corridor is intercept. In order to improve these problems, we proposed a few engineering measures that can be realize with respect to river-crossing structures.

Smart factories are complex systems which combine latest information technology (IT) with operation technology (OT). A smart factory aims to provide manufacturing capacity improvement, customized production, and resource reduction with these complex technologies. Although the smart factory is able to increase the efficiency through the technologies, the security level of the whole factory is low due to the vulnerability transfer from IT. In addition, the response and restoration of the business continuity plan are insufficient in case of damage due to the absence of factory security experts. The cope with the such problems, we propose an information security practice content for analyzing the damage by generating ransomware attacks in a digital twin-based smart factory similar to the real world. In our information security content, we introduce our conversion technique of physical devices into virtual machines or simulation models to build a practical environment for the digital twin. This content generates two types of the ransomware attacks according to a defined scenario in the digital twin. When the two generated attacks are successfully completed, at least 8 and 5 of the 23 virtual elements are take damage, respectively. Thus, our proposed content directly identifies the damage caused by the generation of two types of ransomware in the virtual world' smart factory.
Based on rapid improvement in digital fields, many advanced digital technologies are utilized in prosthodontic treatment. Especially, intraoral scanners and 3D printing technology are commonly used, and facial scanning technology is recently being attempted to be part of these digital routines. This case report aims to introduce a digital procedure using the intraoral scanner, facial scanner, and 3D printing technology to create definitive restorations, which are esthetic and harmonious with patient's face. From thoroughly evaluated full-mouth provisional restoration which was manufactured and fitted conventionally, definitive prostheses were fabricated using various digital technique. Stable occlusion with functionally and aesthetically satisfying results were achieved.

Focusing on native plants that have high possibility of being introduced as rooftop material, this study was conducted to investigate extensive and easy-to-manage rooftop garden and to raise the utilization of native plants by verifying their growing response to artificial substrate soil depth and irrigation period. The study was conducted from March to September in 2002. Plants tested included Chrysanthemum zawadskii, Sedium middendorffianum, Thymus quinquecostatus, Allium senescens, and Dianthus superbus. Regarding soil depth, it was 5 cm and 10 cm. Irrigation period was non-irrigation, 1-week, 2-weeks, and 3- weeks, Its result is as follows; 1. In case of Sedum middendorffianum Maxim, mortality rate was 0% regardless of soil depth and irrigation period making it very suitable material for rooftop garden. 2. In case of Allium senescens L., mortality rate was 0% regardless of soil depth and irrigation period making it very suitable material for rooftop garden. Therefore, Provided that fertilizing is managed well, it is a plant that can be highly utilized.3. In case of Chrysanthemum zawadskii Herb. Subsp. (Nakai) Y. Lee Stat., the growth of top was lower in 10cm than in 5cm and it grew well in 10cm. When utilizing for rooftop garden, it would be desirable to keep minimum viable soil depth at over 10cm. If there is enough rainfall, soil and soil depth seem to have greater effect on growth than irrigation period does. 4. In case of Diauthus superbus L. var. longicalycinus (Maxim) Williams, rooting rate and growth were better in 10cm than in 5cm. Therefore, it is desirable to keep minimum soil depth at over 10cm. 5. In case of Thymus quinquecostatus Celak, the growth of top and flowering were better in 10cm than in 5cm. Therefore, it seems desirable to have minimum viable soil depth to be over 10cm. In conclusion, the most suitable species for rooftop garden are Sedium middendorffianum and Allium senescens in this experiment. However, Chrysanthemum zwadskii, Thymus quinquecostatus, and Dianthus chinensis also can be utilized greatly when irrigation is managed regularly in artificial mixed soil over 10cm.

This research investigated appropriate indoor light sources and light intensities for Hedera rhombea and Saxifraga stolonifera, which are shade-tolerant and cold-resistant indoor plants. Plants were grown in wood flames of 1 m in width${\times}$1 m in length${\times}$1 m in height. Light sources were fluorescent lamp, three wave fluorescent lamp and halogen lamp that are being used in most of the subway stations in Korea, and light intensities were 200 Lux, 700 Lux and 1,000 Lux. Results are as following. 1. Hedera rhombea Hedera rhombea heights did not show differences statistically as responses to light sources and light intensities. It, however, tended to be greater with an order of 1,000 Lux, 700 Lux and 200 Lux and halogen lamp, fluorescent lamp, and three wave fluorescent lamp. Number of branch increased under fluorescent lamp than under halogen lamp or three wave fluorescent lamp, and increased under higher light intensities. Number of leaf was higher with an order of three wave fluorescent lamp 1,000 Lux, fluorescent lamp 1,000 Lux and halogen lamp 1,000 Lux. Leaf shape became wider under low light intensities regardless of light sources. Chlorophyl contents in leaf were not significantly different under three wave fluorescent lamp and halogen lamp. However, the contents increased with an order of 200 Lux, 700 Lux and 1,000 Lux under fluorescent lamp. 2. Saxifraga stolonifera The plants were dead or declined under fluorescent lamp regardless of light intensities. When light intensities went under 200 Lux, Saxifraga stolonifera showed poor growth for all the light sources. Plant height, number of shoot, number of leaf, leaf width and leaf length have increased with an order of halogen lamp 1,000 Lux, three wave fluorescent lamp 1,000 Lux and three wave fluorescent lamp 700 Lux. Chlorophyl content was greater with an order of three wave fluorescent lamp 700 Lux, three wave fluorescent lamp 1,000 Lux and halogen lamp 1,000 Lux.
